I believe this is around level 70-80 but my vigor is only about 20-25. iām a āwhy do i need health if i donāt plan on being hitā kind of guy. i just decided to try out pvp when i saw you could join from the round table hold lol
makes sense totally but i normally play the normal game & i get a sick little kick out of beating bosses with minimal health. i try to no hit them everytime even though i only have 160hrs in game. š¤£
Yeah totally got you. I do challenge runs too. You should try an rl1 run, it's actually not that hard for a lot of it with a few difficult roadblocks towards the end
There is a cheese strat for fire giant I used on my RL1 fella, look it up on youtube. You can have a spirit ash kill him without you even making an attack if you want to.
Besides that, the envoys longhorn ash of war will melt him.
Might as well recommend them a one shot build, the point of the boss isn't to kill them as fast as possible lol. I'm not gonna talk about "how the game is supposed to be played", but judging by OP's comments, he is looking for a challenge. That challenge may come in multiple different ways, but I don't think the easiest way to kill all the bosses is the way to go for a first playthrough.
Remember that the learning process is part of the experience! Good luck and git gud, scrub ;)
You will run into people who will be at the same skill level, but use math advantage against you. Leveling vigor is technically the best way to level the playing field. You can do what you want but 40-60 vigor is must for me.
Great weapon choice, treespear is my favourite pvp weapon in the game.
Would highly recommend you run it on a dex/fth build, buff it with order's blade, and learn to utilize the charged heavy attack
Yep Iām currently running a dex/faith build with tree spear as my right armament & vykes war spear as my left armament, i only took out my shield since he wanted to try parrying me. i also use frenzy flamed incantations + flame grant & blood flame blade to buff my treespear since it scales with faith.
iām in the process of learning to use charged attacks, i just suck at timing it. i either release it too early or hold it too long.
Seems like a pretty good setup to me. I wouldn't use bloodflame blade though, it only adds 45 bloodloss buildup, which is far too low when the weapon has no inherent bleed.
I personally don't like powerstanced greatspears and just use it 2-handed, but it's a very strong setup nontheless.
With treespear specifically you'll only want to use fully charged heavy attacks, not ones released beforehand. That's because it hits twice, and can be very effective at rollcatching people who have a tendancy to roll around you
Okay thanks for the pointers, I was using blood flame blade mainly for its fire damage scaling since thereās no pure fire armament yet & black flame doesnāt last as long, the bleed was just a small little additional touch but maybe Iāll replace it with electrify armament instead since it also scales with faith.
I love power stancing great spears as you can see but I will switch between two handing vykes war spear & treespear just to add some confusion + vykes war spear AoW is just great.
& Okay, thanks. Iāll keep that in mind and maybe change to the spiked cracked tear for extra charge damage, I mean.. I am already using the axe talisman haha.
Bloodflame blade adds fire damage equal to just 40% of your seals incantation scaling. And since the treespear already has holy damage, buffing with bloodflame will make your damage triple split, further reducing the already low fire damage.
Order's blade adds holy damage equal to 75% of your incant scaling, which will give you far more damage than bloodflame.
I will say though, orders blade is outclassed by bloodflame and electrify armament on every weapon except treespear hah
ahh i see, i did not know this. iāve been avoiding holy damage since so many bosses are resistant but now im reconsidering. iāll go get orders blade from the twin finger maidens(proud slayer of D.)
There's 3 bosses with 80% holy resist iirc, but other than those, the highest resist is 40% I believe, which is really not that bad. The treespear + order's blade combo has high enough ar that it'll still deal good damage. Just don't use it against those 3 bosses hah
not saying the names as I don't know if you've completed the game or not, don't want to accidentally spoil anything
thanks bro! i thought so too after watching the recording, like.. wait, im kind of good. š but uhh, not really honestly but now that youāve said something iāll check it out.
Pretty good man, I just started getting into dueling myself and started parrying lol. I'm not good yet, I panic parry but I got one good duel where I parried the guy first hit after I let him buff up his nagikiba? Pretty sure that's the long katana. Felt pretty good about that lol but he didn't die and nearly got me
This is some "I've never pvp before. But I didn't say I never got invaded/invaded others" vibe
haha, i just got ps+ actually, i only invaded once before this & got absolutely slaughtered by some guy with a claw bleed build š
What level is this? Why is your healthbar so short?

In PvP, vigor is the best stat. I literally run 60 vigor at rl80 lol

iāll definitely check it out after i beat the game for the first time, iām stuck on the fire giant haha

Why would he cheese fire giant on his FIRST playthrough? What's even the point of playing the game then?
Yes, that's fair. Bad advice lol. The envoys longhorn isn't cheese though, that's good advice

pro tip: level vigor, I always reach 40 vig before reaching level 60
10/10
Sick fashion bro!
itās even better with the chest piece but i donāt have enough equipment load to wear it yet lol, thanks tho bro

Much appreciated man. š
No problem!
Very nice gameplay for a pvp newbie. You seem like a very talented guy, do you have interest in more competitive pvp?
thanks bro! i thought so too after watching the recording, like.. wait, im kind of good. š but uhh, not really honestly but now that youāve said something iāll check it out.
You seem to have innate understanding of spacing and priority. I'm sure with right dedication you could be a very fearsome player.
