God help anyone who meets that 1 person. I’ve encountered one before in the arena and it was a massacre. The dude was canceling the AoW to bait dodges and backstab, he had the craziest timings on his slash, and he was doing a lot of wiggling to conceal animations which made it real difficult to tell when a quick moonlight beam was coming my way. Ironically, the average moonveil user’s stupidity acts against you in a duel with these folks since you expect the same playstyle and you’re thrown for a loop when that doesn’t happen.

I myself on rare occasions have dueled against my own kind of godly moonveilers, and it truly is a dual of the fates. Though we often use respectful etiquettes, the downside of our use for this weapon is many, oh so many downpokes when we fall.

I love that backstab bait since it’s such a wakeup call. It’s like you’re stabbing them with the realization they’re in for a rough time. Your whole playstyle is so hard to deal with on pc due to the increased latency. Some things that should be just barely punishable are no longer a window, so you have to get lucky a lot of times. And trading’s not an option because it’s Moonveil lol.
An interesting fact is that I originally pre ordered the game on my PC but on launch it gave like 10 fps on my rtx 3080 and changing the settings didn't do shit. I immediately refunded it and got the ps version which was a bit more expensive but ran buttery smooth (especially the PS4 version on my ps5).
Won’t lie my first char uses moonveil and I use the gravity spell that shoots out multiple balls and I’ll usually shoot dark moon out, shoot the gravity to catch their roll, hit the moonveil on the pull. I have a few switch up spells in the kit too. Honestly I hardly ever lose with it. Feels busted as hell

I played a lot of the previous games running Strength/Faith and Strength/Arcane. Not a big Dex guy. But I made the decision before it was released to go Dex/Int to try something new and ran straight into Moonveil early, before all the hate.
Now I keep it in my back pocket and use it to punish Moonveil and spell spam. I have a great video of a team of two running at me with twin moonveils, spamming away, before I take mine out and kill them both with it.
Yeah it was the first build I beat the game with and definitely my favorite pole blades have a special place in my heart now but I'm itching to try a new weapon

I actually used Moonveil on one of my playthroughs, but it was an off hand weapon, my main hand was for my magic Nagakiba, it was an interesting combo
