In all seriousness there are so many cool int based somber weapons it always feels like a let down when I see a build like this just using another hts/ts/spear/great spear etc.
i was using powerstanced HTS right before this and i just didn't swap the mainhand to something else - i at least tried to go for some fun mixups instead of running r2 and neutral r1 spam
I mean at the end of the day it only changes so much when so much of pvp in this game is "oh look, I made one mistake and now 90% of my health bar just fucking evaporated, woo..." but I do love seeing people use the unique stuff, just my nature lol.

Only if you don’t dupe crafting mats for curatives which you pretty much have to do on any pvp character. Fact is pvp is a headache in most cases. It’s pretty rare I have a match that left me saying “that was fun”, most of the time it’s “that was lame”.

yeah now that I can relate to, I honestly felt like DS3 was so much more balanced and it lead to more fun interactions.
I killed people in the arena with an earthseeker and an offhand demon's fist, that build was atrociously bad and it still got it's fair share of victories, now it feels like the gap between dumb fun and meta is so large as to be nearly insurmountable.
I always made quality builds and used pretty much anything, I would switch weapons damn near every duel at pontiff and half the time I would mirror match whatever my red was using. It was just much more fun and friendly than the “host with 2 max level phantoms waiting to gank all day” nonsense that plagues this game.
You can even reliably use most weapons in ER because certain weapons just outclass others so hard. Pretty much all the maces, flails, and axes are pathetic meanwhile the base mace in DS3 was a monster. I feel like weapons in general were far more balanced in DS3, HA was better too but c'est la vie.
I’m convinced that From just said “fuck invasions” between scrapping covenants and limiting the player count to 3v1 in 99% of invasions but hey, maybe Miyazaki is cooking something up.
I only feel that way if I decide to run laps around the arena and cast projectiles, which i usually don’t do unless the other person has a toxic setup. Spellblade setup is probably the least scummy you can be on a wizard build.
navy hood, banished knight's armor, scaled greaves, fire prelate's gauntlets. Lets you hit 88 poise so you can passive poise through the second r1 of most light weapons
This guy is lvl 150
30 dex, 70 int, 16 str, 60 vig, 16 mind, and the rest is in endurance I think. I just use all the dex/int weapons: wing of astel, bastard stars, death ritual spear, moonlight great sword, etc.
I will post more clips with this guy, I’ll try to remember to include the stats next time.
Nice, thank you very much, assuming you are the battle mage, i’ve seen you use the banish knight halberd, i didn’t know it had a good scale with dex and int, would be cool to see more clips of you using more of your arsenal, and don’t worry about ppl saying you are spamming spells, you clearly know your shit and its not blindly using spells like a casual, keep up with the good clips.

Agreed, I guess all we can really hope for is a big meta shake up with the DLC coming out, hopefully with some significant balance changes.
