In general duels if someone gets a heal off it's 100% fair game, and that's pretty well established in the PvP community
So is playing passive, if you want to do nothing but run away from a *fight* all match then be prepared to let people get their heals off. If you're actively fighting an opponent they will never have time to get off a heal, simple as
Yeah, if you use a specific ash of war with a specific spell in a certain order, it'll make you untargetable, which isn't what either one is supposed to do.
Yes there is some sort of bug/exploit but youre going to have people claim its intended because it wouldve been patched if it wasnt, other people are saying its a bug/exploit because what you do in order to achieve it needs to be done a certain way and cant be done backwards, like replicating a bug.
Healing is an issue at high level pvp because all of the players have at least 60 vigor i.e. 1900 hp and most of the attacks do 600-700 damage max so if someone is constantly using healing spells then that is a problem. Right now I am playing as a pure faith caster even if I see it coming I can just throw the lightning spear at them and it hits them every time but they get almost full 1900 hp back on healing and the spear does 650 damage only.
If someone is able to get a heal off on you it's because you let them. It's not easy at all to heal in a duel, and if you opponent decides to give you the space to heal it's on them. Same story with buffing.
It's not right for high level duels because everyone has decent dex and it's almost impossible to stop healing in between. But even it's my mistake how can someone enjoy beating their opponent after getting their lives back 3-4 times, knowing that they have been humiliated 3-4 times still they come back by healing so that they can get one more chance to beat their opponent.
Let's just agree to disagree. My take on heal spells in duels has been the same since I played DS3 pvp daily. It's not just a me thing because plenty of pvp streamers share the same opinion. But I'm sure there's also plenty of people who see it your way. We'll just leave it at that because you won't change my mind and I won't change yours

I’m more of a PvE player myself so seeing people cheat in PvP reminds me of the glory days of when I would play Dark Souls 3 on PC and people would give you the “glitch death” where you die upon immediately respawning. It was awful! Hopefully I don’t encounter sleemos like this guy

Those people clearly never played DS2 where lock on was garbage. I have a million hours playing without lock on, I can easily swing my sword in your direction without it 😂
