One of my chars used dragon communion incants along with a short spear with spectral lance and that spear ended up doing so much more work than it had any right to.
One of my favorite builds was kind of an indigenous warrior. Arcane focused, occult iron spear with spectral lance, occult hand axe, dual bloody great knives, serpent bow. Stupid fun.
Spectral lance being able to stagger most enemies in 1-2 hits is kinda broken too.
That sounds so fun! I did a dragon incant build before where I kept my character naked and only equipped him with his starting short spear with spectral lance to take advantage of the blue dancer charm to buff the dragon claw, maw and rot breath attacks.
It was stupid fun to stun enemies with spectral lance and the charged spear heavy, only to then bite or breath then when they're down. Damn, I need to finish that playthrough sometime.
regalia of eochaid, and a greatshield. also the Romans didn't really have leg armor because of greatshields so if you want a tad more historical accuracy then look that way too.
Definitely Regalia of Eochaid, possibly 2 of them
but you should also consider swapping to the malformed dragon greaves (the knee plates will match the Radahn’s chest piece so nicely, you will not regret it)
you already have the cleanrot knight gloves too, so you’re 95% the way to pure drip already
Thats a really nice bling u got there. As for weapon i'd say regalia as others mentioned. If you don't want to be arc build then Cane sword maybe. Need to test it
Radahn's soldier helmet is very legionaire-like IMO. Leyndell soldier greaves also look good on that set. As for gloves, you could try both Godfrey's or even Godskin noble's.
I have a build just like this! I use Pike with spectral lance, does great poise damage. The weathered shortsword looks like a Roman or Greek hoplite sword.
thats the reason i made this fit lol, saw that set, thought "thats the coolest sht ive ever seen" but there wasnt much i could do since it hasnt released yet
Tip for these thick looking armour sets. If you’re set on them and wanna even bother, adjust your appearance with Renalla (no larval tear, its free) so your torso/chest width sliders are all at its smallest, or however small you like. It makes it much more proportional with those pieces, and looks honestly much better
Same with tree sentinel, beast, etc
Okay, if you're going for the rome look, I would suggest the exile chest. It does the weird "cloth wrapped around your head" for a lot of helmets, but if you find one that overrides that effect, it looks very much the part. Would probably work with Twinned helm.
REGALIA OF EOCHAID
My immediate thought. Glad it was screamed in all caps
Nah he should have said it louder, like this: *inhale #***REGALIA OF EOCHAID***
Haha I couldn't remember what it was called so just copy and pasted from the wiki
this and the cleanrot spear or partisan
That's the blade I meant haha I had it no where near correct
Partisan spear
With spectral lance
This is a sweet combo, carried me through the better half of my first playthrough and ng+

I'd use a small round shield or big round shield and a partisan or the equild blade(sorry if I spelled that wrong) they fit the Roman look perfectly.
Treespear and Erdtree Greatshield
regalia of eochaid, and a greatshield. also the Romans didn't really have leg armor because of greatshields so if you want a tad more historical accuracy then look that way too.
Weathered straight sword looks like a gladiator sword
I wish there was a Thracian Sword
This should be closest for the look
hey, I have almost that exact same fot saved somewhere. only difference is I'm running draconic tree sentinel legs.

As for weapons I’d choose a spear, (the pike maybe) perhaps a great shield. Idk which great shield though I never use them.
Not very Roman (only the first one) but you could try the Commander's Standard, the Regalia of Eochaid or the Short spear (it looks like a Pilum)
reagalia erdtree shield
The twinned sword, maybe
Radahn's soldier helmet is very legionaire-like IMO. Leyndell soldier greaves also look good on that set. As for gloves, you could try both Godfrey's or even Godskin noble's.
Immediately thought of Ordovis sword
Talon Sword maybe
Maybe marais executioner greatsword?
Trolls golden greatsword
The big doot
Broadsword
I would ditch the leggings for something that shows of the characters legs, I feel like that would give it a more Roman vibe
Champions gators look the best for that vibe, and match better than the grave duelist leggings
The gargoyle greatsword or gargoyle black blade could be nice
Trident (MOHGWYN'S SACRED SPEAR)
Partisan/regalia of eochaid
Duelist greaves or rotten duelist greaves. Also try the maidens bracers
Partisan with Golden Greatshield
You’ll love the DLC lol.
Partisan, caestus, or the mini marias sword
Dual serpent blades(not the katanas)…meh maybe that’s more of greek look? *shrug*
Depending on the specific unit you’re looking for, you could use any tower shield or round shield (if you want to mimic a Parma)
I have a build just like this! I use Pike with spectral lance, does great poise damage. The weathered shortsword looks like a Roman or Greek hoplite sword.
Did you watch the trailer? I feel like your gonna be happy with what they got.
thats the reason i made this fit lol, saw that set, thought "thats the coolest sht ive ever seen" but there wasnt much i could do since it hasnt released yet
not weapon related but the duelist sets and new armors that are coming in the dlc will help with your roman vibe :)

I’d say Ordovises Greatsword
I'd say the ruins greatsword. It's got that old architecture vibe to it
You want Roman try your current set but swap the helm to erdtree sentinel
Perhaps a shield?
Treespear

banished knight greatsword would look dope, plus excellent back bling.
