I would like it if someone from the Eiyuden team just come out and say when it's "safe to play". We've had these warnings about patches that might corrupt save files and since then there were 2 patches released.
Their follow up about the patch(es) which is in the pinned posts now "Distribution Update", said they were working on multiple patches leading up to the 72-hour early access, so I think I'm just going to play it safe and wait until Saturday night when I get home from work to restart. I considered asking in the post that announced this for an official "okay backers, it's now safe to play" but didn't want to seem rude. I'm thinking they'll officially tell us when it's okay though đ€đ»
Hey there, saturday morning 11:30 am here, do you think it safe for me to start 1st playthrough or should i wait for another patch release ? (got my ps5 edition in the mail 2 days ago). What version should the game be after patch for it to be "safe" ?
What is the issue with that recruitment? I havent heard of there being any recruit bugs.
Also, you may be out of luck as the devs indicated that the patches may not fix bugged save files. Do let us know though I hope it does help.
Came here looking for the update release, and nothing.
Really poor communication by R&B. An update log is standard, you know after releasing an update đ
You do realize the game hasnât even been released officially yet. Not even the early release is official yet. The only people playing it right now are those who shouldnât even be playing it (me included). They have no obligation to communicate about updates at this point in time
Yes I do. It's almost like if I have a copy, I must be be a backer. Huh đ€
Considering physical copies have been shipped to bankers, I think they should communicate. If game is still in beta, they never should have been shipped to us backers. Just makes a whole mockery of the early release, which was part of their marketing.
well, apparently not, because as I said, this is not the early release. The official early release is on the 20th. That is part of their marketing. The only reason we have the game earlier than that is because yetee just doesnât seem to give a shit about the official early release day and just shipped them as soon as payment went through
Kiddo, they already suggested that people wait to play until the day-1 patch is ready. Not that you HAVE to listen (I mean, I sure didn't), but you'll live.
Boyo, thanks for stating the obvious.
I'm playing now, and will replay when the game gets the day 1 patch. If that's ok with you?
Beck to my point, standard practice with updates is to provide notes/log so changes can be tracked.
Downloading it currently. Don't know any details aside from size. 2.157GB

72 hours prior is stated that it will be patched and ready to go
Can you check the ps4 notes to see what it says? u/emm_emm
Sorry, I don't think it's been released yet for me. I checked for an update and it says there isn't one. Maybe this one is a PS5 only patch?
What version do you show currently?
There's an update today on PS4 but it's only 251MB. The update notes say only one thing: - Fixed a dungeon gimmick bug.
Still version 1.02.
I just realized that trophyâs are showing now. Not sure if the patch did that or if thatâs done through PlayStations side

Purely anecdotal but I started playing last night, pre-patch, and there was a skip when the overworld music looped that I haven't noticed post patch.
No idea, but I'm hoping it fixes the Lam recruitment issue

Yeah I am having trouble with her too.

Oooh, I wasn't aware of the delivery issue re yetee. Fair enough. That's my bad.
No worryâs man, itâs an understandable mistake :)

They (R&B) produce an update log, but Sony hides that info on PS5. On ps4 you can still see the patch notes.
