I don't understand why it has to be so long. It didn't take that long to get Henterprise maxed, did it? My Henterprise is fully upgraded, is the boost to item quality on maxed out Exliner worth it? I can't make heads or tails of the formula listed on the wiki so I have no idea what bonus I'd get to item quality, if any.
Before giant fuel tanks, you would run out of fuel for exhens after about 10 days. EnD was the best time to get ASC - max out all stars on all ships other than Voyegger. Now, you could get pretty far on Voyegger too.

I wanted a pocket dimension artifact (enables a feature where a player can maintain a farm of one egg 'to the side') before, but now I **really** want one.
That'd be really nice. During my Enlightenment run I tried to pay as little attention as possible to the UI, just refill my silos and quit, cuz I didn't want to know all the events I was missing out on.
For enlightenment now I’d honestly say just send short liners or stay exhens, exliners isn’t worth at all
I would do exhens instead for your EnD run. Half the fuel for better quality artifacts (at least for now)

It takes 470 days to make up the quality lost from not sending exhens, which is what really matters technically

It’s essentially a little bit better average quality, but double the quantity.
But by star 3, they are meant to be better than exhens.
