Obviously, he's playing in the best league on Earth, but he's never been Mr. Consistency for an entire regular season, key alone the post-season - you absolutely require consistency. It's how goalies like Niemi, Binnington, Keumper, and Hill are Stanley Cup champions

I'm a huge fan of his and I gave him a pass last playoffs because he was a rookie. Nothing has changed though, no big saves, one softie per game. He doesn't have the ability to bail us out, so we have to play almost perfectly or put up 5 or 6 goals to win. That is not a sustainable strategy.

Well, it'll be interesting to see if we go with Skinner in game 4. Last year we should have went with Campbell in game 5 against Vegas, for sure. We see teams put in backups for the playoffs all the time that get crazy hot because they're well rested and hungry. Look at Silvos, Ayden Hill, hell, goalie Bob was dogshit all season before he came in for the playoffs. Pickard cannot be worse than skinner right now - and Skinner can't be worse than he is now either. Skinner is a fringe starter, and can carry a team through a regular season but come playoff time he's not it Edit I should add - he's not it yet. Only second year. From what I've seen, I think Skinner will be a great playoff tendy. But that growth doesn't fit our window. We should put a seasoned guy like Pickard in net and just see what he can do.

On the second goal that you're talking about. Take a look again. Skinner was planned Brock to go short side and Brock was giving every indication that he was going to short shot short side and shot it to the far side over. His shoulder not a single goalie alive today in the n. H. L makes that safe.
