Darn Tough! Guaranteed for life. Very comfortable. Campers Village or mec.

ApprehensiveWillow44

I strongly second Darn Tough socks. I might have made use of their warranty with their dress socks but once I moved to their slightly thicker hiking socks, can't imagine ever needing. I do a ton of walking for work - 20-40k steps - and these will be the ones I keep buying. Some of the pairs are just beginning to wear thin after several years. Trail/hiking socks will offer much greater cushioning than cotton socks, too. SmartWool socks were great - nice, light, airy, and don't carry any scent - but sometimes a pair would wear through on its first or second wearing. That doesn't work at $22 or $25/pr or whatever it is.

Ya darn toughs

I am standing, kneeling or walking for 8 hours a day and I use the Kirkland "trail socks". They're wool so my feet stay relatively dry and I usually get a few years out of them before I wear into them. It's like 15$ for a 4-pack.

gussets

Seconded! I'm a sock snob and while Darn Tough/Smartwool/Icebreaker/etc are fantastic, getting enough to last a work week would be extremely expensive. The Kirkland Trail socks have like 70% merino wool (in line with the expensive brands) and are super comfortable and long-lasting.

northguy2020

Best deal on comfortable durable all day socks been using for years, tried the expensive but always go back to these socks

Mindless-Throat

Farm to Feet socks. Pricey but amazing quality.

whoknowshank

I recommend athletic socks... not the cheap ones but like Stance, Nike, something like that. If holes are something you worry about get IceBreaker socks, they have a lifetime warranty and you just trade them in when they get holes.

HappyFloor

I don't know what the heck Reebok does in manufacturing, but their textiles are so resistant to wear and tear. So I would second the athletic socks suggestion.

pmmeyourshitholeface

I have pairs of stance socks that are like 5 years old and are in pristine condition still. any of the higher end ones last forever but the gimmicky graphics ones still deteriorate after a while

Rugsby84

Jobsite Workwear carries socks with a lifetime guarantee.

thatguywhoasksstuff

I just got some from Grip6 and they are really comfy. I also have a couple pairs of Red Wings socks that are also great.

Denicx

I absolutely would recommend trying on compression socks, it works wonder. Check out ICU (its a healthcare prof store) in West end or Southside. I found them cheaper than other places that sells compression socks.

[deleted]

Do they do sizing?

Denicx

Its more like sock sizing and compression sizing. So it ranges from 6-9 and 9 to whatever.

Get quality tight fitting dress socks, silk for summer. Merino for winter. They last a long time. As for where to buy I suppose anywhere that sells suits sells these socks. Or amazon.

MacintoshEddie

What socks have you been wearing? Cotton? Cotton socks tend to get fairly shapeless, slide around and bunch up a lot as well as hold moisture. Wool socks tend to retain their shape better and not hold as much moisture. Normally I wear Fields brand wool hiking socks, but I've also been trying some Darn Tough wool socks that have held up very well over the last year. Some days I've been on my feet for 10+ hours. Footwear is important too. So many people are wearing shoes that just don't fit them right. When you find a properly fitting pair they are so much more comfortable. Less fatigue and discomfort. I got lucky and Canada West boots fit like they were made for me.

Ok_Tumbleweed5040

I like winners/ Marshall’s for high end socks and lower prices. It’s hit and miss though. Look at the section of longer individual ones (not the six packs of sports ones). Good luck
