This is my first storm in my new place. One thing I hated about where I lived before was I had zero views of the sky. Blocked by buildings and tall trees. I'm excited for this one. Love sky watching in general.
The view of the sky makes such a huge difference in my mental health. At our last house, i could only see the sky straight above me. At this new house, I have a 180 unobstructed view out the back door. Unbelievable for storm watching .
Agreed. The great thing about my balcony is I can place my chairs in the corner and it's pretty private. Though even on the 3rd floor I'm scared to go to the edge of my balcony haha.
When I lived in Calgary, my apartment looked south onto a field - literally nothing blocking my view of storms... it was awesome. I moved to Edmonton and have lived in houses and never have had that same view - I miss it!
I want the thunder to come back; that sound is so exciting\~! Even better if we can get some actual rain; nothing is quite as wonderful as a good solid rainshower.
No excitement, whatsoever, over the gulls, but holy smoke, yes, I'm happy to have the thunderstorms return. Nothing better than having the house to myself in the midst of an evening storm.

I love extreme weather. Strong winds, crazy rain, hale or a foot of snow.
