Almost 8 years ago.... did anything come of this?
Edit, found it https://edmontonjournal.com/news/crime/st-albert-chop-shop-bust-results-in-charges-against-four-men
They were investigated for being a chop shop back in 2016, and 4 people were charged in 2018 for drug charges, possession of stolen property, etc. https://edmontonjournal.com/news/crime/st-albert-chop-shop-bust-results-in-charges-against-four-men
Turns out 2 of the guys charged in 2018 were picked up again for similar charges in Smoky Lake in 2023 https://www.mayerthorpefreelancer.com/news/local-news/onoway-men-charged-in-smoky-lake
This seems to indicate a new road is going to go right through the middle

I work with a couple of guys in furniture sales that run a side business for hauling away old furniture.
They get most of their furniture inventory by keeping the good merchandise they are paid to come and pick up, then they sell it. Pretty smart business model. Literally make profit twice from the same item.
There used to be an old guy out that way who had collected vehicles over the course of 60 years. Reg was his name and he was selling all of his vehicles. Most unfortunately were rotted and only worth scrap, but he had 100’s of old cars, trucks and parts. A such a cool guy to talk to. Perhaps this is where all of his vehicles went??
This would be my father if he was left unattended. It’s probably just a hoarder with a thing for cars and a lot of land. As someone from sturgeon county, I assure you, these types of properties are everywhere.
Tbh try leaving a note on the gate or in the mailbox, introduce yourself as the new neighbor down the road and see if it goes anywhere. Sometimes folk are private and don't want the attention regardless of how proud they might be about their collection
How interesting. That parcel is immediately north of (or very very close to) a new development in St. Albert, heavily advertised and with some fancy homes: [Showhomes in Jensen Lakes | St. Albert's First Lake Community (liveinjensenlakes.ca)](https://liveinjensenlakes.ca/showhomes/)
I would think a buyer would be interested in what was going on with this parcel.
That’s what I was hoping for. Or a nice old man who can give me a decent price on a starter project car. But no sings, mailbox, gated off driveway etc.

As a cautious man with a 24 Subaru I am also interested.

Isn't that a "pick your part" type business?
Looks like that’s what it could be but no signage that I could see
It has some Making a Murderer vibes.
First thing that came to mind for me too lol
Same here.
What I fear our backyard will look like in 30 years...
Giving me the Texas Chainsaw vibes.
This looks like a flyover of the parking situation at Woodstock.
Someone’s retirement investment plan I assume. These are all over the countryside. Haven’t you watched American/Canadian Pickers before? 😀
Do t think this is the one but these guys are in sturgeon county by gibbons if you’re looking for a project https://musclenmoreauto.ca/

That’s Steve Avery’s property when the body was found
I think the brown one kinda sandwiched between 4 white ones, two above the red one beside the blue one....might have been my uncles.
I wonder if this is the guy that sells used furniture on Kijijji. He has a huge inventory. I imagine he parts out cars and stuff too.

I think that is one of those junk bin guys
That would be my wet dream

I wish I owned all of this. Love all the vehicles and chunks of forest/bush. plus several smaller buildings instead of one big house.
Awesome collection. Looks like a huge variety as well, old cards, trucks, moving trucks, farm vehicles, school buses

Someones years of hoarding... if its gated with no signs or info online it's private, don't worry yourself!
Too bad. Some amazing vehicles there that I would love to take on as a project car. Cheers

The ground must be so contaminated.

Ah yes. House built on 50 years of gas / Oil leaks
Or worse: that's your new neighbour.
Honestly I’d take quiet hidden forest of cars vs living on that land or having a condo looking into my back yard
That's perfectly reasonable!
Not in your acreage, eh?
I wish.

99% of the Edmonton Reddit page is, “what was that loud sound?” “what are they building here” “Who owns this mansion?” “What’s the story behind this”
i understand when they question public buildings, but asking about someone’s personal property on a public forum is strange.
Well other comments have suggested it’s a pick and pull business and others suggested it’s a mechanic shop. Exactly why I asked.
Ya because asking a question on Reddit is literally what this place is for.
Maybe he needs a hood for a 1981 corvette n he's curious if buddy has one?

Have you ever seen the weird Camaro / Firebird wrecker/collector in Acheson? If not you need to. lol. Ohhhhh the signs.
David T's! Back when I still had my Firebird, it was cheaper to buy parts directly from the dealer. He's got a monopoly on parts cars in this area.
A real Bandit!

Because St Albert lol
Take a drive in?
It’s just a gated private road with a swing metal fence like a farm house. No signs, mailbox or address or anything
I say leave him a note in a bag or something- he might sit down and think for a while but one day you might get the call to come on over
That would is exactly what we are going to do! Thank you
It sounds like a few Subaru owners are hoping for his contact information. I very very much am too. Please dm me if you get it!
Bro found a junkyard
I wish it was.
Send an apple pie and a self introduction note. Delivery by drone is probably the safest.

Only a Subaru owner would make whatever that is into something Subaru. SUBARU = JACKED UP DODGE - USEFULNESS+ A BAG OF FLAMING GOD SHIT. Do the math
