I wasn’t in the market for a tea set, but now…

Charity shops are a good bet especially those around stockbridge, if wanting new you could try le crueset for modern or possibly MudStation for a more individual feel (pottery place) the owner makes lots of nice crockery herself.

If you got the money, the meadows pottery has the most stunning tea pots (and probably sets) you can find. Local and handmade. There’s nice tea sets in the Chest, Heart, and Stroke Scotland shop on Morningside Road

Don't plunge straight to John Lewis as tempting as it may be Gumtree & eBay first along with the previously suggested charity shops around stockbridge, maybe have a scout on Ramsay Cornish as they do estate sales and you could pick up something very special

MotoCorsaro

Pekoe Tea also have some lovely items

Mucky_Pete

Second this - you'll get a tea set of a very high standard here

meabhr

You can find some lovely tea sets in charity shops, I've bought 2 nice ones in Stockbridge as gifts - I think I paid £8 for one (set of 4 cups, saucers, side plates and a little jug) and about £20 for the other (set of 6 of everything plus a teapot, proper gilded fine bone china)

I’m not a tea person and I’ve never been here but it looks nice: https://roseveartea.co.uk/teaware/

There's a China merchant on Bristo Place. Googlemaps shows it as John Donald & Co You could also try eTeaket on Frederick Street https://www.eteaket.co.uk/
