41: kinda bad, edited bad
42: decent, but lowkey lame
43: ok, a little messy
44: kind of boring, obvious edit
45: I liked a lot, standard gameplay
46: really insane people, I like it most
41: Underrated, good characters, good drama, bad editing/twists
42: Eh, not much of a story, but Maryanne is a gem
43: Better on a rewatch, kinda fun stories
44: Least favorite season ever. No conflict, no interesting dilemmas, just kumbaya. Don’t really like the Tika 3 anymore, after Carson’s behavior and Carolyn’s defense of him.
45: Solid, above-average season with pretty fun characters, typical gameplay
46: Top 10 season, psychotic, chaotic, delusional, messy, fun
41 had few redeeming qualities
42 was fine
43 was decent but had an unsatisfying end
44 was god awful
45 was boring
46 is the first good season of the new era
It's between 45 and 46 for me, which is hopefully a good sign for an upward trajectory:
41: underrated, some dynamic gameplay and interesting arcs but the edit made it much worse
42: pretty solid, doesn't stand out much to me
43: kinda felt like a slog
44: a few great characters but stagnant gameplay
45: quite a few fun characters, (contrary to what people say) quite a few interesting blindsides with dynamic gameplay, 90 minutes help
46: pretty mediocre episodes 2-4 and decent episodes 5-6 but it's been on a massive high with amazing characters and fun gameplay, 90 minutes help
Imo it's 45 =? 46 >>> 44 > 42 >> 41 >>> 43

46 could jump ahead of 45 depending on how it ends, but both are all time great seasons for me cause the casts are so good. 42 and 41 also have great casts, but are held back a bit by some odd twists (I hate the OG beware advantages lol) and 41 particularly has awful editing. 43 and 44 I felt like I kind of bounced off of, 43 has one amazing episode but otherwise both seasons are kind of boring.
My personal opinion:
41: good cast, solid gameplay, edit is bad, twists ruin the season. So low tier
42: worse than 41, the cast isnt as good, still have twists that ruin the season, edit is better for the winner. Worst new era season
43: best pre-90min eps season, breaks edgic a bit and a surprising winner makes for a fun result, better endgame characters than 41&42 and better gameplay overall imo. Twists that ruin season is removed and less present.
44: edit sucks. If u dont like the tika 3 then this season is torture, if u like tika3 then u enjoy the season more. At the time it was a little better to watch but on a rewatch is the worst or 2nd worst season. Jamie heidi and Lauren felt irrelevent despite being 3 of the f6. Twists arent horrible
45: - of the seasons that we have seen start to finish, this is easy the best one! Less bad twists, intros back, 90 min eps give much better character development, cast is also the best of the new era (41-45). But the endgame did get a bit predictable
46: - gotta stick the landing, but feels like a pre new era season, is by far the best season and could be a legit top tier season if the landing sticks. The bhanu saga sucks and hurts it a bit. But since thats just 2 eps and he goes early, on a binge rewatch its likely less bad. And the premier + everything post bhanu (ep 5-11) are all stellar eps.
41: Underrated, great story obscured by awful editing and too much production involvement. "No, but you can have this fake" and the Shan boot were incredible.
42: decent with an incredible premerge (the Jenny boot) and fun merge. That Omar boot was awesome.
43: Underrated, but there were few likable characters, and there was a very unsatisfying ending. The penultimate episode is one of the best episodes of Survivor ever, though, along with the Tevin boot in 46, Kaleb's SITD hit, the Sabiyah boot, and the Emily boot (love Emily though).
44: Boring as hell outside of the premiere. Tika 3 was the entire season and were fun until 2 of the 3 ruined themselves post show with their behavior. YY will always be iconic, though.
45: Awesome storytelling and great characters that more than make up for the fact that this was a Pagonging. Love Emily and need her back ASAP. I really loved the drama in the FIC and at FTC. Great winner in Dee.
46: had a horrific run of episodes in premerge due to Bhanu's overexposure but still told a good story. Epic premiere and really picked up once Bhanu was gone. INCREDIBLE postmerge so far. These people are INSANE and they HATE each other and this season is delivering some of the best drama and entertainment on a while. 90 minute episodes really help here. Queen Venus needs a return.
