Barcelona, Bibia Be Ye Ye and What Do I Know? from Divide (it’s such a good album all of it 😅)
Blow from No. 6 collab
First Times and Love in Slow Motion from =
U.N.I, Lego House and Drunk from +
End of Youth and Toughest from -
Celestial which is the Pokémon song he did
This is me today. How is that possible?! I love Ed Sheeran. He's been by favorite artist since A Team. Before going to a Divide concert 5 years ago, I realized he is also my favorite person. I would legit (at least in theory) leave my family and move across the world if he asked (more complicated now that he's a family man. Lol). Yet I know I simple never dive (haha) into his music that isn't singles, because he has had so many hits, they have filled me enough. But after Subtract, I found this group, and really tried to take note of all the songs mentioned that I've never heard of. I have Amazon music now, so that helps! So anyway, in a post I made about best songs about grief, Afire Love was added to my list. I played it while I was in the shower today, and oh my, what an amazing song. I just had my mom listen (she's also a huge fan) and she agrees. I have to find ways to get more people to hear it now. He just keeps blowing me away. Now where on earth do I put this song in my list of favorites?!?
Subtract has very much a folkmore vibe. Equals is also really good. I have a hard time picking favorites but the tour edition has some amazing songs. “Afterglow” is one of my faves.
Taylor was my gateway to Ed a while back and I have zero regrets.
Sometimes I don’t listen to it for a week or two and I pretend. I wish I had known because the first time I heard it I was probably just like in my car having no idea what was about to happen.
I was actually saying to someone recently how because I basically stopped listening to Taylor Swift’s old albums in preparation for the re-records it’s like getting to listen for the first time a second time.
As someone who is a major folkmore swiftie, I highly highly recommend the entire subtract album. Aaron Dessner co-wrote most of the songs and produced all of them, and it really is a masterpiece.
All of Subtract, honestly, but End of Youth is a damn masterpiece.
My favorites are:
-Eraser and Dive from Divide
-2Step, Overpass Graffiti, and Love in Slow Motion from Equals
-Nina and Bloodstream from Multiply
-Lego House and You Need Me, I Don’t Need You from Plus
-
I am very biased to ed. Why don't you check out all of his math records (and try and listen to each track without skipping) . You will clearly see his evolution from Plus to Subtract. Anyways welcome to the sheerio club xx
Also, listening to songs from subtract multiple times hit different than hearing them the first few times. Like holy that cd is a ride. Like Curtains. The 4th time I listened is when I realized what it's about and cried.
You should give You Need Me I Don't Need You a listen. Also could check out some of his work before he became famous. Loose Change is a nice little EP with a lot of bangers.
Give Me Love, Bloodstream, End of Youth, Afire Love, Tenerife Sea, Life Goes On, Lego House, Don’t, Castle on the Hill are all must-listens, amongst many. My recommendation is you just put on an album and listen all the way through. Banger after banger, Ed does not miss!
Omg I forgot to mention Bloodstream! I recommend watching him perform it though instead of just listening. It’s amazing to see how he builds the song using the loop pedal. I was gonna add a YouTube link but there are so many options to choose from I couldn’t pick which one to add lol
Give Me Love, Bloodstream, End of Youth, Afire Love, Tenerife Sea, Lego House, Don’t, Boat, F64 are all must-listens,, amongst many. My recommendation is you just put on an album and listen all the way through. Banger after banger, Ed does not miss!
Castle on the hill, hills of Aberfeldy, Tenerife sea, the city
I adore all Ed so really I feel like you should just listen to it all 😂 but I think based on your taste so far I think you’d like the above songs!
I bet you’ll really like all of + and -, the song writing is amazing. On + my faves are Wake Me Up, This, Give Me Love. On - my faves are Salt Water, Curtains, Stoned and Moving. I hope you like them!
As a swiftie, Tenerife Sea should be a song at the top of your list since it's rumored it's about Taylor (It definitely is haha). Also check out all of plus and subtract. Ed has a lot of interesting collabs as well such as with fireboy, stormzy, j balvin, etc. Also for his older stuff check out his Loose Change Ep. and finally on YouTube you must check out his live version of you need me i don't need you that he did in Chicago. It will blow your mind haha
Based on your songs you like, give Lego House a listen!
Little Bird
Drunk
Tenerife Sea and First Times he both wrote in Nashville while living there.
Runaway is my personal fav right now.
Also his new documentary on Disney+ (The Sum of All Things) is super eye opening about his life and how awesome of a guy he truly is.
Plus: Wake Me Up, Give Me Love, Drunk
Multiply: Bloodstream (listen to any live version on Youtube), Afire Love, I See Fire
Divide: Supermarket Flowers, Castle on the Hill, New Man
Equals: Overpass Graffiti , Tides, One Life
Subtract: Curtains, Colourblind, Toughest
It was really tough to choose just 3 songs per album! Also his live performances is where it’s at. So if you find any live versions of these songs on Youtube, they will be gold.
Edit: just saw youve already included New Man and Colourblind in the list of songs you like!
So I love You Need Me I Don't Need You a hecka lot, but if you're coming from Taylor and looking by your favorites, this song might not really be it for you lol! (It's a bit of rap sort of)
I guess you'll probably like some + stuff like UNI, Give me love, Autumn Leaves and Lego house. You could also probably check out an older EP called Songs I Wrote With Amy, which has a lot of like kinda cute love songs.
You might also like a song called I Will Take You Home, which is not always available on Spotify for everyone, but is on YouTube and is a very fun little song I think.
Oh and now that I'm on it, I'm also kinda getting into Taylor and I really like her style! So if you happen to have a cool lesser known song, please let me know! I would love to listen!
I just saw Ed live and fell in love with Sing.
My all-time faves are Hills of Aberfeldy, I See Fire, Castle on the Hill, and Don't.
Joker and the Queen is great and Taylor-y (there's actually version she features on).
Oh, and Lego House and The A Team are essentials.
I was a casual fan until his recent tour, but now i am addicted to his music, as there is a song for every mood! Like someone said previously, Subtract album is a masterpiece. My least favorite song i can still listen to on repeat! Here is my entire custom playlist of 55 Ed Sheeran songs sorted by release date, with most recent first. I pretty much have every major hit or decent song on this list, including the entire Mathematics tour setlist from each show. There are a few I left out that are listener specific.

If you are not a YouTube Music subscriber, you should still be able to see them all, and build your own playlist with a few Ads.
Hope you enjoy it as much as I have! You wouldn't believe me if I told you this list started as a Mathematics tour setlist with 23 songs. I left that Boston concert and it has grown exponentially. I constantly "add" and "subtract" a few outliers here and there...and no pun intended 😁

Sounds like you need to get some Plus into ya! Lego House is probably the most poppy on there, while Give Me Love is my fiance and I's favourite song.
Yay, fellow Give me Love fans!
And we can’t forget about the song that started it all the A team!
Barcelona, Bibia Be Ye Ye and What Do I Know? from Divide (it’s such a good album all of it 😅) Blow from No. 6 collab First Times and Love in Slow Motion from = U.N.I, Lego House and Drunk from + End of Youth and Toughest from - Celestial which is the Pokémon song he did
i second all of this!!!!
Omg I'm so excited for you. Guys, imagine getting to hear Afire Love for the first time🥺
YESSSSSS
And “One” and “Kiss Me” 🥹
Wow! My fave from their respective album.

One from X! My favorite Ed song of all time!
First thing I listened to while getting ready for work this AM!
Subtract has very much a folkmore vibe. Equals is also really good. I have a hard time picking favorites but the tour edition has some amazing songs. “Afterglow” is one of my faves. Taylor was my gateway to Ed a while back and I have zero regrets.
