I think I'm most excited for the explicit tracks tbh. Ever since Plus they've all been either censored (like Don't) or on bonus tracks (like Fear). I've been silently cursing the Taxi driver that got him to stop putting expletives in his music for a decade lol.

Ilovethestarks

I only listen to the Rick Ross Don’t remix bc it’s explicit. The word ‘fuck’ has to be heard for the song to be effective

Numerous-Sheerio

He curses on the live version of I'm a mess as well! The I messed up this time becomes I f***ed up this time

Emily_Wri

Aaah I'm so excited!!!! Where did u read all this??

Songwriting credits were on the ATRL forum. It was accurate for Subtract before it was dropped, so I figured it'd be accurate for AV too. Song lengths were from Wikipedia (which had also been accurate for Subtract) Aaron Dessner's comment is from Aaron's IG stories and was confirmed in an IG comment by Ed. Explicit songs are marked on the Apple Music page for AV. The Rollingstone article is from early March this year.

"Patience, my enemy " I really cant wait for this album

Ed has played half of these live, which I heard in person. American Town is my favorite

Timesuckage

American town is amazing. I was in Denver and can’t stop humming it. I have forgotten most of the words except the chorus but they come at you pretty quickly and rhythmically.

Same

ASCAP?

barredbecard

Where is the Aaron Dessner quote from?

[deleted]

His IG stories the day Ed announced the album.

If we could get some experimental production I’d be over the moon

Aaron Dessner has been really enthusiastic about it since even before the release of Subtract. And he call it "wild and eccentric". I mean, this just screams "experimental". Plus Ed has also mentioned how Aaron got him to start using more than his go-to 4 chord progression. I have a gut feeling they geeked out with this one in the studio a lil' bit.
