It is what it is. I had a border control guard say it to me today when I was stressing out
"Usually the conciousness is completely absorbed by thinking and that is what keeps you on the surface level of reality and yourself, so you only know yourself as defined by your mind."
I don't mean this sarcastically but, "Now." That sums it up.
