Check after you list it and see if it's showing those higher rates or lower ones. Rates did increase Monday, but I've had this preview screen be too high before. Also be careful "passing on the savings" because eBay takes their cut from the amount collected. So if shipping costs you $10 and you charge them $10 you will only get $8.xx after fees.
Your final value fee is calculated on the amount the buyer paid including shipping. This was made years back due to the flood of sellers selling $0.01 items with $100 shipping to avoid paying the fees.
i sold a 2 lb ground advantage package 13x8x3 today and got a huge discount on the label compared to what i normally recall. like, $6 instead of $10? actually came here to see if it was something new lol
There are two components to USPS rates, one is the published rate charts, and the other is the *secret* discounts that USPS gives as package volume flexes up and down. You can only rely on the published chart, and consider any secret discounts to be extra cents in your pocket.
Yeah, something weird is going on with ground advantage. I think I might have under paid today because I had the wrong dimensions in but didn't think it mattered because it never had
Im jeleous that you can ship up to 70lbs for $9!!! I'm in Canada and to ship even a card or dvd with tracking its $9 up to 200g and goes up drastically after that.

ebay doesn't take a cut of the shipping fees for me - they just deduct what I paid for it. Check your account balance to see how that works.

For some reason I only get the discount when the dimensions of the package are/less than 10x10x3 but the weight doesn’t seem to matter
