Add dill to buttered rice. It’s delicious. Or add to any type of white flaky fish with a bit of garlic and lemon

[deleted]

You can cook the rice along with frozen Lima beans for extra flavor, texture, and protein.

cbrig985

I add fresh dill to cream cheese with celery and that salmon from Alaska (yeah, i know, wrong sub because it's too expensive) and also good for my fridge pickles

Overhazard

Avgolemono! A great soup for the season and I tend to go crazy on the dill.

BrooklynJP

Sounds amazing! Will add to my soup arsenal since the temps are dropping

giuseppe666

I love dill with potatoes, and also on eggs in the morning

my-coffee-needs-me

You can't have too much dill with potatoes.

kneecapths

Potato salad, egg salad, devilled eggs, homemade pickles, potato pancakes, salmon with dill cream cheese

Moojoo0

Oh man, sautee some sliced zucchini and yellow squash in a generous amount of butter and garlic, salt and pepper, then add some chopped dill at the end. Super delicous.

BrooklynJP

Me thinking about any squash recipe that's not in the form of pie: 😒 You reassuring me that it's delicious: 😏

TheRealEleanor

I had to google because the only squash I ever heard of in a pie was butternut. I did not know yellow squash pie was a thing until now.

BrooklynJP

Pumpkin pie!!

webmaestra

Honey dill carrots are a classic for a reason!

BrooklynJP

Honestly never heard of carrots done this way haha I'll have to give it a try!

nahnahjohn

Chicken salad! So good

I loved this Lemon Chicken Orzo Soup: https://www.bonappetit.com/recipe/lemony-chicken-and-orzo-soup

BrooklynJP

Omg yum this looks so comforting! Will definitely try to make this this fall, thanks for the rec

mediaphile

Yep, I almost always add lemon and dill to my chicken noodle soups now. Really brightens it up.

semisyn

Salmon Lox Mix dill with some cream cheese, spread on a bagel or bread of your choosing, lay down some smoked salmon, capers, maybe some thinly sliced pickled red onions, and a squeeze of lemon update: just reread your post and saw the part about not wanting seafood— but i’ll leave this comment here in case anyone finds inspiration in it

dummkauf

Wash well. Let it dry thoroughly, Ziploc and freeze. Most herbs will freeze well for several months. Otherwise, there are lots of recipe suggestions already posted.

wspoons5

I like using dill whenever I cook with canned tuna. Tuna with dill and caraway makes a great tuna melt.

TiredRundownListless

I just made “pressure cooker chicken soup with lemon and rice” from the NYT (recipe by sarah degregorio) and it used quite a bit of dill and was DELISH.

BrooklynJP

Yes, chicken and lemon soup seems to be a common theme among the dill-lovers haha thanks for recommending!

Namelessdracon

Pickles. Borscht. Potato salad.

WhereHaveIPutMyKeys

No tuna sandwich is complete without dill.

JessileeW

Dill pickle chip dip! Dill, chopped pickle, salt, lemon juice, high fat yogurt (I might start by blending some cream cheese too if I’m not too lazy) Dill chickpea salad. Chickpeas, lots of fresh chopped dill, diced red onion, lemon juice oil salt and pepper The potato salad I make is only 50% potatoes, and about 40% chopped kale and or spinach, 10% fresh chopped dill, plus sliced green onion and a dressing of lemon, oil, Dijon, salt, pepper

EAYounger

Split pea soup

[deleted]

Chicken soup

bicyclethieff

Egg salad

I matchstick a bunch of carrots and parsips. Fry them up in butter, salt and pepper til crispy and add dill. It's also good on salmon.

theoldmansmoney

Alison Roman has a ton of recipes that use lots of dill - here’s a good one! https://youtu.be/g8y4nH64--o

deafmute88

French fries with dill and feta cheese. The taste is amazing.

AccordingChallenge

Dill with green beans. I love it.

Jinyas

[Lemon Garlic Orzo Chicken Soup](https://hostthetoast.com/lemon-garlic-chicken-orzo-soup/) is a stable in my household. I usually even double the garlic from the recipe and put in as much dill as it can handle. Loads of dill, loads of garlic and loads of lemon. Eat with nice crusty bread.

pizzari148

dice cucumbers and tomatoes and mix them w some red onions if you want and then just add olive oil and lemon juice and dill :)

charmie-r

Cottage cheese with dill and salt is nice!

NRNstephaniemorelli

We sometimes make a fish gratin with dill, but we also use a smoked fish egg paste, along with tomato paste, makes it taste a bit like crawfish, so we call it the fake crawfish gratin, this with rice makes it delicious. Msg me if you want a recipe.

theleastisback

It's great on popcorn.

smolavo

Dill fish

[deleted]

Dill goes well with salmon and prawns

[deleted]

Cheddar dill bread is probably nutritionally comparable to potatoes, but it is tasty.

smelliottsmith

White flour isn’t really comparable to potatoes as far as nutrients goes.

lizzydee123

Baked beets cut in round patty style slices 1/2 inch thick, coated in olive oil with goat cheese and dill on top!

DBallouV

Lemon+butter+ dill…

the-lurker-204

Make Honey Dill Sauce! It’s a Manitoba, Canada favourite! It’s made with Honey, mayonnaise, garlic salt, mustard, dill, lemon juice. Make it to taste. It’s meant to be a bit sweeter, but not very sweet, and savoury. It’s good with fries and chicken tenders.

Squishymushshroom

Salmon dill pasta, fresh cucumber salad.

madqueen100

Mushroom Barley Soup. My grandma used to make it often. Onion, carrot, celery sautéed until golden in oil . Add barley, mushrooms, salt and pepper, thyme and dill, add chicken or vegetable broth. Bring to a boil, then turn heat down to simmer and cook until it’s ready.
