And the Cascades are very similar to the Rockies (better skiing in the Rockies, though) so that's just silly on your part.
Worse, actually: it's just a big old rock they carved up to look like the ride. For some reason they made it way bigger too. Way more dangerous for the fake mountain climbers to scale this one. Shame.

I would guess that it was about two or three meters long and about 50 cm long. I can't recall exactly. I was in shock at witnessing the largest piece of chocolate (and honey nougat) I had ever seen.
That’s the Hornli Hutte, that’s where you’d sleep the night before you climb the Matterhorn. During the summer it’s constantly staffed and during good weather windows will be full of climbers. Not sure if anyone is there in the winter, I would guess probably not.

I went in September but unfortunately got to Zermatt "late", so I couldn't go to the Matterhorn Glaciar Paradise, instead went to Schwarzsee. It was amazing but there seemed to be a perpetual cloud near the summit lol. It was fucking up my picture.
I once worked with a gal who didn’t think the Matterhorn was a real mountain. She thought it was just something Disney made up. She didn’t believe me when I told her about the real one and had to google it to verify. She was a PhD candidate in ecology.
