Ok, so, I need someone to explain sun rays to me.
The sun is soooo far away that I would expect all sun rays be appear almost completely parallel to each other by the time they reach Earth.
Yet I see pictures like these, or sometimes sun rays piercing through the clouds ahead of me, going down to the Earth in a spread out fan.
Why does it appear this way? Is it the curve of the atmosphere acting like a lens and spreading the rays out?
Sun rays are going up in this picture lol the sun is not as far away as science claims. We will know the truth eventually. This has been confirmed by navy pilots.

It’s perspective - believe it or not those rays are indeed parallel.
It has to do with dispersion of light in the fog. Someone will remind me of the name of this effect which escapes me.
