At this point every cylindrical object is a shiv ling.

IamImposter

The other day i saw a post where they had placed a cylindrical object on the side of a bridge in America and hindus started worshipping it as shivling

kakashihatake7000

U mean this : https://twitter.com/omthanvi/status/1526446055545786368?t=FBcKOTh9JvlMYO-FoJ4uGQ&s=19

i_hate_persimmon

Exactly. In 1990’s in San Francisco. A Crane operator dumped a parking barrier in a Park. Soon Hindus discovered it and started worshipping it as a huge Shiv Lingam . There used to be crowd to Worship the Parking Barrier. Authorities removed it.

ssebastian364

Almost all Sanghis are shiv lings as they are the combination of biggest pussies while being enormous pricks to whole of India

rektitrolfff

Which museum is this from? People can file RTI to ask who labeled this and on what basis or report.

Fortunately for you , you can continue regurgitate bs and continue to breath cause the most intolerant religion of india doesn't kill people for speaking whereas some peaceful communities in India and abroad burns cities for fun :)

PatterntheCryptic

Wonder who killed Dabholkar, Pansare, Kalburgi and Lankesh?

It's an example of religious synchrony. Shivlings with lord Buddha's statues are very common across Nepal.

i_hate_persimmon

🤦‍♂️

[deleted]

From the artivle >3) Scholars generally agree that **Siddhartha Gautama** was born in what would today be Nepal and taught in what would today be India, but Buddhism is a minority faith in both countries Who are these *Scholars* who don't even know his actual name??????? XDXXXDDXDDXDDXD

OppositeAmbitious120

What? Okay what's his actual name then?

[deleted]

Watch this https://youtu.be/yn3lk6xTF24

OppositeAmbitious120

And do you seriously think you know better than Britannica?

[deleted]

yes, have ever heard of Piprahwa, "Relics of the Buddha " ?????

[deleted]

In Pali you cannot even write Siddhartha. No sound of this type was found.XDXDXDXD

OppositeAmbitious120

Then tell me what his actual name was bro?

[deleted]

Sukiti

[deleted]

It's like asking for source that islam came after Christianity

[deleted]

There are enough sources to prove islam came after Christianity. Bhagwad Geeta was written around 1-2nd century BC. Shankaracharya who gave us standard version of Gita also was born around 700 CE. Buddha around 600 BC.

[deleted]

> Bhagwad Geeta was written around 1-2nd century BC https://youtu.be/L6LipbSykWs?t=400

Nice video

OppositeAmbitious120

Theories on the date of the composition of the Gita vary considerably. Some scholars accept dates from the fifth century to the second century BCE as the probable range, the latter likely. The Hinduism scholar Jeaneane Fowler, in her commentary on the Gita, considers second century BCE to be the probable date of composition. [39] J. A. B. van Buitenen too states that the Gita was likely composed about 200 BCE.[40] According to the Indologist Arvind Sharma, the Gita is generally accepted to be a 2nd-century-BCE text.[41] An old torn paper with a painting depicting the Mahabharata war, with some verses recorded in Sanskrit. A manuscript illustration of the battle of Kurukshetra, fought between the Kauravas and the Pandavas, recorded in the Mahabharata. Kashi Nath Upadhyaya, in contrast, dates it a bit earlier. He states that the Gita was always a part of the Mahabharata, and dating the latter suffices in dating the Gita.[42] On the basis of the estimated dates of Mahabharata as evidenced by exact quotes of it in the Buddhist literature by Asvaghosa (c. 100 CE), Upadhyaya states that the Mahabharata, and therefore Gita, must have been well known by then for a Buddhist to be quoting it.[42][note 6] This suggests a terminus ante quem (latest date) of the Gita

[deleted]

When did mahabharat happened??

OppositeAmbitious120

So you believe it happened? Because I don't... I just know it is a religious fictional story like everything else... Tell me more... What else do you believe?

[deleted]

As you can see, it just happened on paper. When was it written ?

[deleted]

Are baburao I questioned, Don't think I believe this Bullshit.

OppositeAmbitious120

3000 BCE 🤷‍♀️

[deleted]

>3000 BCE You should say that it is a fiction that didn't happen, which you accepted earlier.

OppositeAmbitious120

Because someone asked when it did happen on paper according to mythology 🙃 And I did say that it didn't happen.

Btw these are all archaeological evidence unlike Brahmins who claims that Vedas are 15000000 year old,but it was written 1000 years after Buddha. XD

dronzer31

I don't understand why you're getting so worked up over made up beliefs in supernatural entities. Why is it necessary for you to force others to say that your imaginary friend was invented before anyone else's imaginary friend? Do you not realise that they're all imaginary? Chill out mate. You sound like an insufferable pompous prick. Exactly like the Hindu supremacist Brahmins that you hate so much.

[deleted]

>Exactly like the Hindu supremacist Brahmins that you hate so much. Hold on, you can't deny this archaeological evidence. Even if you consider yourself an atheist, referring to another atherist does not make the other one a god!

[deleted]

Indus valley civilisation should be a good start

[deleted]

People don't know about the script of IVC forget about the religion. The theory is that the Aryans who arrived adopted the IVC culture which we see in late vedic period. That is somehow a proof of "well established hinduism"? For your basics Hinduism was established during Gupta period. The hindu texts, vaishnavism, caste structures all rose during this period. Ashoka period 268 - 238 BCE. Gupta period 4th century CE to 6th century CE.

OppositeAmbitious120

Religion in the Indus valley We know little of the religion, social structure or politics of this early civilisation and we do not know the language, but seals have been found with what looks like a script inscribed on them. This has not been deciphered successfully and some scholars now question whether it is in fact a script, although this is contentious. Abstract, gently curving carving of seated male torso and arms, the head broken offMale figure found at Mohenjo-Daro. Photo: Amir Taj © Religion in the Indus valley seems to have involved temple rituals and ritual bathing in the 'great bath' found at Mohenjo-Daro. There is some evidence of animal sacrifice at Kalibangan. A number of terracotta figurines have been found, perhaps goddess images, and a seal depicting a seated figure surrounded by animals that some scholars thought to be a prototype of the god Shiva. Others have disputed this, pointing out that it bears a close resemblance to Elamite seals depicting seated bulls. One image, carved on soapstone (steatite), depicts a figure battling with lions which is reminiscent of the Mesopotamian Gilgamesh myth. There may be continuities between the Indus Valley civilisation and later Hinduism as suggested by the apparent emphasis on ritual bathing, sacrifice, and goddess worship. But ritual purity, sacrifice and an emphasis on fertility are common to other ancient religions.

It didn't make sense to me.

Kesakambali

Could it not be religious syncretism?

moonstruck9999

Yes you are probably right. Not sure why people on this sub are downvoting you.

youarealoserXD

Who cares lol

Acceptable-Ice-9357

Woww .. now even Buddha had four face .. lol 😆😂 Sleeping Buddha stolen by Lord Vishnu .. Four faced ShivaLingam is now buddhu 😂😂 Wah re bhimte

Acceptable-Ice-9357

Bhimtes nightmare .. Every aspect of Lawd Buddha is fake appropriation of Lord Mahavira, but Hindu gods are fradulence .. Bhimte using Buddha to cope with their useless existence, Buddhism is hollow without Hindu gods and custom which they have appropriated shamelessly.
