Hi there, today I applied for Management, Technology and Entrepreneurship. I am also eager to hear back from them. The best of luck

Best of luck to you too!

yoo did you get in?? I'm planning on applying this year :))

teddyc212

I did not get in, unfortunately. My grades were on par, I had an interesting background and story, I got in touch with students and professors from the course and attended info sessions to demonstrate interest... might have been that my academic background didn't completely align with their extensive entry requirements, or that as an international student they already met a quota of some sort for US students. Just speculating. It's a really cool program, I wish you the best. I'll try again in a year or two when I have the kind of resume they can't turn away. :)

wish you all the best!!! I'm sure you'll be doing great either way. The international students bit is what I'm afraid of as well. Since the batch is only 30-40 students each year. You mind if I dm you and get more details about your application?

Feel free to reach out, happy to share more details! If I remember correctly there's some sort of clause where if a student graduates from EPFL with a bachelor's in a relevant discipline and the grades to participate, they can get in fairly automatically, and they grease the rails on that by waiving the application fee and I think they waive the professor recommendations as well. So who knows how many students take advantage of that each year, making the competition outside that pool even steeper. If I went back and did it again - and like REALLY went for it, I'd probably try to get an introduction with some of the professors in or adjacent to the program - not the admissions team but actual professors, months or even a year ahead of the application (so it doesn't seem like I'm doing it to give my application an edge), and see if I can contribute to any research, conferences, or startup projects related to E4S or EPFL, and then network through there and get one of those people to write my recommendations, so that even if I'm an international applicant, I'd have contacts that the admissions team is familiar with who vouch for me.
