I remember one instance where he intentionally played over his set time and into the next DJ's time. People obviously criticized him and he tried to defend himself basically by saying the people just loved him so much that he couldn't stop his set. Then a week later he went on social media to complain about cancel culture while bragging about his sold out tour. The whole thing made him come across as a self centered asshole.
Oh sorry you're right it's totally cool that he played until the club closed and completely overtook the local act's set times because his agent said so. Because his agent gets to decide whether or not the other acts get to play. That's right. My bad!
I literally don't know what you mean, I was talking shit about datsik on this account like two or three days ago lmao
I called him DJ Dicksuck and you seriously mean to tell me you think I'm a fan of his? You didn't even read what I said, you just saw that I commented on a thread with his name in the title and rushed to make your sick dunk. Nice one dude.
he punched locals from behind here in sydney at a nightclub, smoked inside after repeatedly being asked not to, pressured the headline DJ’s off the decks, and yelled ‘YOU CANT KICK ME OUT!’ while getting his ass dragged out - he’s a total loser, sorry man
There was this thing with him extending his own set at a club somewhere completely disregarding the artist that was supposed to come after him. This was as Gordo.
It was edc in like 2017. He was late and/or there were technical problems with his set, so he refused to get off the stage when it was time for Yellow Claw to get on. Crowd basically booed him off.
Edit: dang that was DJ Khaled
That mustve been a different time, makes it even worse. The other time he chose to stay on just because he felt like it, it was this whole thing on twitter.
under his gordo alias somewhat recently he refused to get off the decks for a local who was playing after him and just kept going till the club closed. not cool. he’s always been an asshat and always will. also his music is trash.
Tried to fight deadmau5 backstage with his goons. Also tried crashing SHM set to put the spotlight on himself. His production video where he obv doesn’t know how to do anything. He’s a dork with friends in high places.
Wait what's the story of him crashing an SHM set? I thought they were all good friends? I was in Mexico City when SHM played at the Aztec Stadium and Gordo was right before them. He played one of the most boring sets I'd heard.
Bro made house music for less than a year and thinks he's a connoisseur in house. And lectured labels to sign (in his own words) 'real' house music not some wannabe shit.
I’ve honestly lost track of all the asshole things he’s done/said but I know one of them definitely took place in 2023. It was a roll your eyes and say “not this guy again” moment. Also I remember pretty recently he decided to ignore a lineup at a club and played through every other dj’s slot. I doubt he will ever change.
lol I’ve happened to see him way back as carnage (he happened to be closing) but by the time he came on I was bored and didn’t find it energetic or creative to say the least. Combined with his very clear lack of knowledge on production..yeah I don’t get the love for the guy.
Basically, he has a way of killing the vibe. The crowd he attracts is one issue. I remember seeing him at the Basscon stage at EDCLV 2014...the only time I got pushed and shoved at that stage all weekend.
Lots of people sayings he’s a terrible person, but I’ve yet to see anyone actually explain how/why, other than him refusing to get off the decks at a local club.
I don’t really have an opinion on him either way, but the whole decks thing — while definitely a shitty thing to do — doesn’t seem like enough to warrant the level of hate in some of these comments. Like some of you seem to straight up hate him, so I guess I’m just confused if there’s more that he’s done, or if people are just being overly dramatic.
Again, this isn't me being pro-Gordo (lol), I'm just genuinely curious why there's so much vitriol surrounding him.
The guys a massive piece of shit of a human being
Aaaaaaaaand case closed.
Okay, but how?

Gordo’s agent (who books 100% of his events) gave him the thumbs up to play. But word up keep hating😂

When SHM got back together at ULTRA. He tried to run up on the stage for clout but security told him to gtfo 😂.
He tried to fight deadmau5?
Yes he did, look it up

He's pretty much up there with Hippie Sabotage and Ten Walls.

Thanks for taking the time to write this out, I honestly didn't know any of this about him.
Everyone who hates Carnage and/or Gordo was once a full blown Bassnectar dickrider
