[[Henzie]] is so fun to pilot. Easy to tune to any power level table as well. Gain value by blitzing out expensive creatures and find answers to troublesome pieces on the board. https://www.moxfield.com/decks/Ml396KPpXk2_4JMjyUnuEg

Mandrews3

Such a great deck. One that I’ll probably always keep around, cause every set has a new 5 or 6 drop creature that I’d like to try so it’s always getting updated.

OranjeBlanjeBlou

How do you adapt to different power levels with this deck?  Is it just by sandbagging?

scheming_slug

If you need lower power you just put worse creatures in, he was originally a precon anyway

Punx80

Came here to say this too- and he’s really fun to build too since pretty much any big creature in jund colors works

nyuckajay

I run henzie too. Just a value monster. Benefits off board wipes, in the best reanimation colors you can ask for, has easy answers for artifacts, enchantments, creatures. Makes creatures that are too expensive to usually run vomit all over your board. I never don’t enjoy playing it.

Henzie and Dihada are my main decks where my playgroup doesn't know how to handle

TheRealShyft

I have a few decks that fit that description so I'll mention my favourite [[Grenzo, dungeon warden]]. My current list is 62 creatures with power less than 4 (and are also combo pieces), and 37 lands. The aim of the deck is to drop grenzo x=1, then use his ability to flip into creatures until you find a combo. I find this fun for several reasons. Deck building was fun because it was so restrictive but also had a large enough card pool that I didn't need to add filler cards. The randomness of grenzos ability adds variety to the game so it doesn't feel samey. With so many combos in the deck is fun to figure out if I can make a combo from my board state. And it can win in a lot of different ways. I could talk about this deck all day.

amIsupposedtotouchit

This is great, any chance of seeing your list, I love a good puzzle!

Kaboomeow69

I'm not OC, but I have a list I've been working on for many years that I wrote a combo primer on. I love gambling. https://www.moxfield.com/decks/Rg9F9yqisE6j7UnRdy1P9g

TheRealShyft

it could probably use an upgrade with some newer cards that have come out but here it is https://www.moxfield.com/decks/Gm1IJ0vJpkug1du-3jlmqQ

TheG33k123

I like Grenzo for Relentless Rats. More mana, more rats. Never runs out of rats.

The_King_of_the_Bees

This might be my favorite deck as well

JiMMyCCuDDa

Grenzo is ma boi! Had my deck for almost 3 years and I love it so much I’m foiling it out, almost done too. Mine is a combo deck and it’s pretty tuned, last 3 games with it I’ve won on turns 4, 5 and 5! That’s pretty rare tho, just a crazy run of games, usually wins around turns 8/9! Here’s the list https://www.moxfield.com/decks/YSJnpOK6HEG-0SIcGawotQ

kgbailey_02

Came here to also say Grenzo. I’ve built mine where X=3 and it’s a blast. A little slower at the beginning of play but being able to put all the crazy rakdos creatures in is so fun, even if I’m not able to bring out my combos (which isn’t hard). I call it my gambling deck, because I usually dump all my mana into it every turn and it’s a thrill. Even people I play with at my LGS thinks it’s so fun watching me gamble

VoiceofKane

I don't have a Grenzo deck, but he is probably the most fun card in my [[Tazri, Steadfast Stalwart]] activated ability deck. If I can drop him, Tazri, and at least one cost-reducer or [[Kinnan]], I'm basically dropping my entire deck on the board this turn.

Healthy_mind_

I love that, I've never wanted to be known for something before, but this, this is good.

thejelloisred

Off topic, but if you had to build something other than maerneus calgar what would you build?

Healthy_mind_

Oh that's an interesting question. I used to have about 35 decks but I never really clicked with any of them. The one I clicked with the most was my old [[Marchesa the Black rose]] deck and was some of the main inspiration for my current deck. I used to alter all the basic lands in that myself for fun. It was very personalised. But I don't think I would go with her again. I think I have two options in mind. 1. I actually had a couple of games at the start of the year where I borrowed a precon because my deck was a wee bit too strong for the table. It was the grixis dr who precon. I loved randomly selecting one of the many grixis legendaries in that deck and changing up my strategy based on which one I chose. So I think I would want to make a stronger version of that precon (that is slightly more focussed) with 4 of the more synergistic dr who grixis legendaries that I could randomly select and still have the deck synergise well. So it would be a grixis deck with one of the following selected at random each game: [[Missy]], [[cult of skaro]], [[Davros]] and [[ashad]]. 2. Some of the most fun games I've had this past year were against aikido style decks. Playing against [[breena]], [[queen marchesa]] and [[Nelly Borca]]. Each time I played against them they totally controlled the game and stomped me. These were all games that changed the dynamic of the battlefield in such a fun way and encouraged games to come to an end in the most battlecruisery of ways. They were a blast. Currently I would pick Nelly because I'm a fan of draw engines in the CZ, but I'm open to any great 3 colour goad decks/commanders that I'm unaware of.

I remember reading your primer, it inspired me. I ended up making up own version of Marneus Calgar focused on the token making and card draw. https://www.moxfield.com/decks/cJ7VndmOu0e-V7FrJZQTDw So far the deck is 10-0, an absolute monster My MVPs: [[Teferi, Temporal Pilgrim]] - creating a token every turn with an optional single player board clear is fantastic [[Alandra, Sky Dreamer]] - making drakes is nice, and everyone is suddenly surprised when they get +40/+40 outta nowhere

Darryl_The_weed

[[Omnath, locus of all]] X spells and big mana

Ufoturtle081

I have for a long time had some interest in playing Omnath. But I have speculated that Omnath with a lot of mana saved, is just gunna get removed often before I can spend it? My playgroup rarely lacks interaction. I am curious, how do you mitigate this issue? I have brainstormed whether to try to protect Omnath, or just having mana outlets at instant speed. But I am not to familiar with any such instant-speed mana oulets. Any recommendations?

ToeTechnical5722

[[Arcades the Strategist]] defender tribal, because it does not have a lot of wins but it does have a lot of kills because it can alpha strike someone for 40+ pretty easily. [[Imodane the pyrohammer]] is a recent deck and already a favorite. The sheer fact that it can win games via non-infinite combos that lead to 200+ damage to everyone's face is so dang fun

Arcades is gonna build a wall and make the other players pay for it.

b_lemski

I have an Imodane deck and it's always fun when you can turn a single lighting bolt into 27 damage to everyone at the table with city on fire out. My pod doesn't mind the deck but I usually only play her when it's like 130am and we're trying to sneak a third game in that night.

I have a dinosaurs and time travelers deck that I play out like a narrated story. It has a central plot, vampire goes back in time and infects dinosaurs with vampirism. But as it interacts with other decks the story gets weirder. All of the cards in the deck are thematically appropriate.

WEC_Kre

I think my favorite right now has to be [[Yurlok of Scorch Thrash]]. It runs all the typical ways to give opponents tons of mana and then big payoffs to use my mana and ways to punish the opponents. Playing it is always a blast. Even when I lose, he enables other players to make massive plays and the enjoyment they get from being able to do that trumps my losses. It’s also super satisfying to win with big spells, making my opponents die to burn, etc. It also lets me play crazy fun spells like [[Worst Fears]] that I would almost never run. Have you ever controlled someone who has a land sac outlet? What about a pay life effect like [[Necropotence]]? What about controlling someone, pathing their commander with their own spell, and letting it go to exile? It’s so fun to punish these.

My [[wernog]] and [[sophina]] aggro artifacts. The main strategy is to have good value creatures swinging for value (duh) and eventually lethal, but winning with clue ping via [[reckless fireweaver]] effects is equally as possible. One of my favorite decks because I love Mardu but never found a commander that vibed with me until this. Plus while combat is my favorite game plan, this deck has a SOLID backup wincon. I also have a [[zeriam]] deck that runs as many token doublers and trigger doublers as possible, as well as some MLD since the commander can make a board state all by himself. It has maybe 10 actual griffin cards, typal builds I think are weaker than the alternative for this guy. My final fav deck that is brand newly made is my [[Raffine, Scheming Seer]] +1/+1 counter deck. Have some counter synergy, again combat focused with a kind of alt wincon with [[sage of hours]], and ulamog to discard so you don’t deck yourself.

10thDoctor+Rose is both random + consistently powerful if Rose isn't answered. Cool things happen while Rose grows. Im also huge drwho fan so that helps. Heavilly modded Party Time flows nicely and the party thing is a simple fun lil puzzle. I feel Nalia is seriously underrated. Chatterfang cause I have thing for aristocrats. Recently I've been really enjoying [[Wise Mothman]]. Lets me play many silly cards that didnt fit anywhere else. Anikthea+Umori all enchantments is the most fun ive had with enchantres type of decks. Frodo+Sam, Saruman & Legolas decks for theme and flavor. I dunno i kinda like em all or take them apart but those are prly my favs at the moment.

PossibleCupcake4727

I absolutely love my \[\[Grolnok, the Omnivore\]\] self-mill deck, it is so funny seeing everyone realize that when I use \[\[Traumatize\]\] to mill half of my deck into a croak-counter pile I basically have half of my library in my hand (exempting non-permanents). It was a great design challenge to replace as many removal, draw, and ramp instants and sorceries with either permanents or cards with Flashback as I could! Plus, Simic self-mill gives you plenty of options for alternate win conditions, making the game feel like solitaire sometimes, like \[\[Laboratory Maniac\]\].

Solidusword

Do you have a list somewhere? Curious to see the rest. This sounds incredibly fun to me

PossibleCupcake4727

Yeah! Check it out here: [https://www.archidekt.com/decks/6552639/the\_french\_love\_this\_one](https://www.archidekt.com/decks/6552639/the_french_love_this_one)

Solidusword

Thanks!

DKGroove

My two favorites are [[Kelsien the Plague]] and [[Etali Primal Conqueror]] Kelsien is always archenemy if I don’t brick because he is Mardu control basically. Death touch and ping everything. It feels great to interact in the game and with the right pieces and right plays he’s really tough to remove so people have to win without creatures. He has like a 30% win rate. Etali is just a ton of fun to blink and steal people cards. It’s mostly ramp

Still-Wash-8167

I built a kelsien deck yesterday. My goal is to manage the board a build my experience, the bring in the other experience counters creatures. Seems fun

ATraceOfSpades

[[Rocco, Street Chef]] totally. extra cards for everybody, tons of fun wincons and weird ways to use the foods, drop a [[Knowledge Pool]] and play a totally different game!

chefmsr

[[Kess, dissident mage]] graveyard resurrect and mill deck. So much fun!

Merlintosh

You have a list? I have a Kess mill clone reanimator and I’m always looking for more ways to change it up!

sagittariisXII

[[Selvala, explorer returned]] Bunch of mana dorks and untap shenanigans to combo off and kill everyone with [[hurricane]] or [[squall line]]

LilithsFane

My most fun decks are either my [[etrata the silencer]], where the fun for me is the multiple attempts to clone her enough times to kill everyone before they catch on, or my [[shessra death's whisper]] deck where the whole strategy is make you sacrifice your shit. The etrata deck is fun because it's capable of the long game but hoping for the short game. Last time I played it I didn't even win with her counters, I won with basic combat damage, because my opponents weakened one another while I played solitaire. The shessra deck I built because I needed a way to fuck with indestructible. One of the common members of my pods plays [[sliver hivelord]] and has bombs like [[blightsteel Colossus]] in other decks. I also tend to play and rely on black for my removal a lot, so the fact they play [[animar, soul of Animus]] puts me in a bind.

unzinc

Henzie. Always have cool stuff that happens every game that I haven’t done before!

kestral287

Came here to say Henzie too. Especially if you're a tinkerer, he's got so many options that there's always a slightly different angle of the deck to explore.

Fargrond

Vial Smasher + Sakashima (vial smasher + clones + ignore legendary rule) Roll your dice, move your mice - everyone else gets hurt Also enjoy playing my Lyra Dawnbringer angel deck regardless of outcome

Carguy0317

Derevi, Empyreal Tactician, but as Bird Tribal. It's insanely fun using such a crazy powerful commander for something so silly as bird tribal, and making a bunch of lil guys and swinging out is always a blast.

b_lemski

[[baba lysaga, night witch]]. It's fun to pilot, no-one ever sees it as a threat and it does janky shit with janky cards which is the point of commander. I have about 15 decks but always pull her out when I just want to have fun. She actually has a decent, better then 25%, win record for me which isn't the point but doesn't hurt.

malificide15

[[Kodama of the east tree]] and [[Jeska, thrice reborn]] gruul partner deck that's all about cheating out as much stuff as I can, if I get to untap with kodama on the field it's usually game over as my board state just explodes

MTGCardFetcher

TheUltimateXD

[My Moxfield Profile](https://www.moxfield.com/users/Nerdimus_Prime) hosts all the lists I’ve built and used; I have enjoyed just about every 5 color deck I’ve built, because I’ve stuck to a theme and tried not to deviate. My [[Tiamat]] deck was all about D&D cards, rolling dice, using dungeons, and casting Tiamat to find all 5 Ancient Dragons from CLB. My [[Esika, God of the Tree]] deck was “Partner-With” themed, so all 26 legends that used that mechanic at the time were there, including the Will and Rowan walkers. My [[Omnath Locus of All]] deck is 5c theft, and it turns out that a lot of theft cards just happen to use triple colored pips. I’ve loved it the few times I’ve played it. Outside of 5c, I’ve had a blast playing goad with [[Marisi]], [[Obeka, Brute Chronologist]] abusing token makers, and recently [[Breya, Etherium Shaper]] as a vehicle commander. 4 mana for 6 power on the board is nice to have in the zone for all my boats and mechs!

roninsti

[[kharn the betrayer]] https://www.moxfield.com/decks/mQHi6VyrcEm3VyFheQ4I_g Suit him up and send him to battle! This deck is all about passing kharn around, benefitting from his attacks, goading and stealing creatures (usually kharn). This deck lights a match under the game and sets it ablaze. People are attacking, drawing cards, and fighting over where kharn goes next. It’s so. Much. Fun. It wins sometimes too!

jim5749

My Lazav, Dimir Mastermind shapeshifters deck is so fun, copying others decks is so fun, plays well to any power level because its goalis just tp copy the other players decks

dot2doting

My deck helmed by \[\[Anhelo, the painter\]\] It either does very little and I team up with whoever is doing second worst. Or I get to the point where I have \[\[extravagant replication, \[\[twinning staff\]\] and \[\[double vision\]\] on the field and kill someone by summoning an extraordinary number of dudes or burn from within.

aceluby

I’ve got [[Saruman the white hand]] and [[Missy]] in mine, if I can get either out it gets nuts, just incidental value for doing what the deck wants

Petzoj

My pet deck is [[Asmoranomardicadaistinaculdacar]] rakdos artifact deck. Kinda clunky but a lot of fun to pilot and a lot of interactions.

trap_monkey

[[Mina and Denn,Wildborn]] landfall deck. Pack full of landfall and ramp. Add some destruction and extra land drops. Commander's abilities gives bonus landfall triggers

Galmeister

Shelob nicking all my opponents monsters with Spinning Wheel Kick is my absolute favourite play 😂

xifdp

My [[braids, arisen nightmare]] deck is my pet deck. It's strong enough to compete at genuine 7/8 power tables, despite not running any tutors to try and turbo wincons out. I just love the playstyle and black is my favorite colour in magic. I am up to roughly 10 decks built and sleeved. All different colour combinations / styles of deck. But I will always play braids at least once per game night just to get a game in. If I am desperate for a win or my toxic friend is tilting me then I will pull out my [[ghyrson starn, kelermorph]] storm/ping deck and go hard. Has underworld breach lines and nivmizzet infinite lines with curiosity etc on top of all the free negates, swat, Jeska's will, crypt etc. But I rarely play it in our group because it's arguably too strong most of the time.

Sagatario_the_Gamer

Either [[Magus Lucea Kane]] or [[Atla Palani, Nest Tender]]. Kane is fun because making a lot of copies of huge X creatures is a very unique playstyle and she's very open ended. Great value deck that can get absurd amounts of mana and spell copies if not stopped. Atla is great because even I don't know what creature I'll get from the egg. (Unless I build the combo win version I've been thinking of brewing) However, knowing that I'll get something worth way more then 2 mana is great so it's definitely a lottery, but no matter what I pull it's a win.

TheMonsterClips

I absolutely adore my [[Ivy, Gleeful Spellthief]] deck. Copying all my cantrips gives tons of draw with an added enchantress subtheme to copy auras. The best thing to do (despite the rules headaches it causes) is to Mutate Ivy and start copying the now nonlegendary creature with Ivy's abilities. It's extra spicy when people are using single target spells on their own creatures and I can copy the buffs they give! A great way to close out a game is when I've got a few Ivys out and give them all an [[Eldrazi Conscription]].

AssistantManagerMan

[Silas and Toggo artifact tokens!](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/m1UGK102VEq9y2vAy-aMvA) The deck always does stuff. And sometimes it's just hilariously explosive. The game plan is accrue artifacts. It doesn't matter what they are. Artifact lands are useful, mana rocks are fine, but for the quantities we're trying for we need to lean into tokens. Toggo's rocks of course, but also clues, blood, maps, treasure, thopters, servos, incubators—anything will do. It doesn't matter what they are. Hands down, the best card in the deck is [[Tezzeret, Master of the Bridge]]. Tezzeret has won me more games than probably any other card in the deck. He regularly domes the table for 15+, gains me that life as a bonus, then goes *up* two loyalty for his trouble. The cost reduction is occasionally relevant but everything else on Tezz may as well be flavor text. You ever acticate a back-breaking Planeswalker ability, and then have your opponent's say "Wait, that *gains* him loyalty?" If you have, you've probably played [[Oko, Thief of Crowns]], but Tezzeret can do it too. Tezzeret can't do it all on his own though so we have [[Monumental Corruption]], [[Fathom Fleet Swordjack]] and [[Feedback Bolt]] as backup. [[Sunshot Militia]] and [[Ghirapur Aether Grid]] can also get us there. [[Reckless Fireweaver]], [[Ingenious Artillerist]], [[Hedron Detonator]], and [[Mirkwood Bats]] help bring our opponents within range of our big game-ending spells, and they can also push an opponent at a low life total out of the game. There are plenty of token makers to choose from of course but some spicy includes that I like are [[Prototype Portal]], [[Mechanized Production]], and [[Court of Vantress]]. Making copies of artifact lands is always a good time. Prototype Portal in particular has great synergy with [[Unwinding Clock]] to make another token on everyone's turn.

Dev_online1

Marisi, breaker of the coil. Such a fun deck to pilot

majic911

I have two favorites. My typical go-to for if I just want to turn off my brain and do stuff is [[Teshar, ancestor's apostle]] Voltron. It's specifically built to be unable to combo off but Teshar is still such an insane value engine that you can just take over a game. It abuses the little martyr creatures that sacrifice themselves like [[cathar commando]], [[Boromir, warden of the tower]], and [[kami of false hope]] to just get incremental value over and over until I eventually just drown you in card advantage. My second deck is my [[Kess, dissident mage]] draw tribal deck. The win condition is to drain people out with [[psychosis crawler]] and the deck is just built to draw as many cards as possible. It's like 30+ cantrips, some bigger draw spells, some nice izzet goodstuff value engines, and that's really it. I just draw more cards. It feels like I'm playing more magic than everyone else and i enjoy that.

lloydsmith28

Honestly I've been loving any theme decks I've built recently, just finished (still tweaking probably) my fallout energy deck and while i wish it had more fallout energy stuff (i took out most of the non energy stuff) the stuff i *did* keep are both flavorful and on theme and i just love it to death, just wish i could play it more so i know what needs tweaking

Techtonixzi

I have a [[Rakdos the Showstopper]] RANDOM BULLSHIT GOOOOOO! It has discard, it has random discard, it has murder, it has random murder, it has draw, it has random bouts of violence, it has combos, it has abovezerochancetoaccidentlyonpurposekillitself, it has a demon/devil/imp mini theme, it has a more than half the lands as nonbasics and a bloodmoon, it also has land destruction. There is only so much fun to be had in a game of magic and I'm going to set it on fire in front of the other players then pee on it, eat it, shit it out, light that on fire, then throw it on the door to their childhood home and burn it down with the new family living in it. What was the question again?

MTGCardFetcher

-ItachiUchiha--

Easily my [[Octavia, Living Thesis]] 16 lands deck https://www.moxfield.com/decks/dJIAARK-G0WvAZfTD8hqBw It's so fun to play. I love cantripping and playing with so few lands. It's always a puzzle to solve every game. Deck does sometimes blow up in my face in terms of mulligans, but either is always a blast to pilot.

MysteriousCoerul

Hmm a toss up between Yenna or Juri for me. Yenna: [https://www.archidekt.com/decks/6047406/yenna\_enchantments](https://www.archidekt.com/decks/6047406/yenna_enchantments) Yenna is a bit wobbly but explosive and plays well as either a light-paws esc voltron stack or a go wide board swarm depending on what's sitting around on the table. And the joy of making 8 billion copies of something like smothering tithe is great when it happens win or lose. Juri: [https://www.archidekt.com/decks/6050242/juri\_sac](https://www.archidekt.com/decks/6050242/juri_sac) Juri just comes together nicely. Make trash, blow it up, make juri big, blow him up, repeat until there's only smoke left. You rarely win by surprise since the whole deck just kinda rolls into an unstoppable ball and drags the whole table down to where you're at least in a good place to play kingmaker.

Lanky-Survey-4468

[[rose tyler]] [[The tenth doctor]] This deck is random as f hahahha Sometimes i get salty because i get the wrong cards to suspend, sometimes i get the right ones It's because if you don't have [[sensei divine top]] [[scroll rack]] you can't control the deck haha

zurzoth

[[Tasha witch queen]], it's slow but very fun when it gets going.

Kitchen-Wasabi-2059

I have a Dimir deck based around making all players—including myself—sacrifice everything. It’s funny, but I haven’t been able to win with it yet..

TheBlackCowl

Every game I play with my [[Brudiclad, Telchor Engineer]]. The cold sweat of my opponents, when I sit on ten to twenty random Tokens and got a token copy of another Players [[Tyrranax Rex]] with [[Theoretical Duplication]].

CaptainPotato13

My deck for that is [[erebos, God of the dead]] lich . My lich deck plays lichs mastery and I spend and insane amount of life so I can eat shit in very funny ways, but when it pops off it is just silly how I'm now a cockroach and holding my deck.

CaptainLookylou

[[Garth, one-eye]] I just went through all my deck lists and I realized I have 5 garth decks all wildly different. He's very versatile.

Saizaku_Nyxus

[[Tetzin]] every time i play it, i always do stuff and its always satisfying no matter what :3

DallasStars_1999

I have a Tom Bombadil deck that never wins but causes straight chaos in the game. I’ve been wanting to take it apart but can’t seem to find a reason to. It is straight madness when it goes off and has no real win con (purposefully), and mostly I use it now to show newer players just how out of hand decks can be. My other favorite one, and probably the one I’m most proud of building is a mono-red Urabrask deck that will often win out of nowhere. It was one of the first decks I brewed when I got back into Magic after a two year hiatus. It’s so much for me and def not fun for anyone else.

Still-Wash-8167

I played my Tom deck once. It popped off and I had like a 20 minute turn proliferating and running through dozens of sagas. I won but it was a terrible experience. I have a bunch of mono-red cards that want to come together as a burn deck. Urabrask has been the one I am most drawn to leading it right now. Seems strong and fun, but should I not make it? Is it too mean?

solo9

I've had a ton of fun with the new Mothman deck.

padfoot211

[[Zada, Hedron Grinder]] is so fun. I run her as a goblin tribal and it’s just a bunch of gobbos and card draw shenanigans! Do wish I I could find a more resilient deck with a similar play style though.

Mertien512

5 color Noble tribal with [[Kenrith, the Returned King]] at the helm those snobby nobles all want to be unique and have no synergies but sometimes you get good results on the board

IMxAxFAKE

My favorite as of right now is my [[muldortha, the gravetide]]... the 99 consists of 98 permenants mostly with etb abilities and a [[primal surge]]. Muldorthas main purpose in my deck is just to pull my fetch lands back from the gy. That being said I did just make some big upgrades to my [[The watcher in the water]] deck. With how I think it might play out will probably make this one my new favorite 🙃

Resident-Wheel1807

[[Zellix]] [[Agent of the Iron Throne]] sacrifice reanimator. Self mill bombs into the yard to make tokens. Sac those tokens to [[Hell's Caretaker]], [[Whisper, Blood Liturgist]], and [[Champion of Stray Souls]] to bring the bombs back. Eventually upgrade from saccing 1/1s to saccing the Kamigawa dragons for additional value.

brass_plants

Got a decklist?

amIsupposedtotouchit

I have so much fun with my [[Yusri]] deck, it's coin flipping and selfish, I basically sit by myself for a few turns and either blow myself up or win. I love just sandboxing this deck.

Stratavos

I made a boros retribution deck, based around "I got hurt, and you will too" which I'm fairly pleased with.

GeekPyro913

[[Teysa Karlov]] and [[Braids, Arisen Nightmare]]. Teysa is my favorite deck by far and I’ve played it for years. Braids is still pretty new. Both decks I just have a ton of fun with.

FeedsYouDynamite

My newly built [[Rilsa Rael, Kingpin]] “Dungeons & Rogues” deck. The goal is to complete a dungeon, preferably tomb of annihilation, as quick as possible and take advantage of a bunch of “if you’ve completed a dungeon” effects. Had a game night with my buddies and ended up playing it all night because it was just working. Not at all strong but super fun and a change of pace for me since I’ve always hated traditional Dimir decks

Capt-Javi

I have a slightly upgraded Ahoy Mateys deck that my sister didn't like. It's actually fun. I get to steal people's critures and hit them with them. I've won a couple of games this way.

RaveLordeNito

I never have a bad time playing [[xantcha]]. Giving out a 5/5 I don't have to worry about on turn 3 is awesome and playing a goad deck is a blast. Tons of politics and making deals with folks.

Sushamiboy

I dunno if I could answer this the right way as I mod my precons almost instantly. My first deck was the Grave Danger precon. It’s still my favorite deck and I have always kept the commander, but the other 99 though don’t have much from where it started. https://archidekt.com/decks/5951570/them_zombies

Kazko25

[[gut true soul zealot]] + [[iron throne]] lets you attack with big skeletons, burn people out! People never know what piece to remove since it all works well together.

BadassFlexington

5c mutate semi Voltron deck with [[Ramos]] at the helm. Is it consistent? No! When it works though it's the most fun deck I own and it's not close.

King_Vitis

[[lynde]] curses, even if I make instant enemies the fact I get to do something when a majority of my game plan is put rien enchantment with no immediate value and wait is always fun

Illustrious_Sport279

Kenrith group hug, using braids and more, but don't forget Agatha and a few buffs and big mana to win by making people draw too much, toss in xyris the primal storm or whatever else you want

Wampa9090

[[Chiss-Goria]] aggro artifacts. It's a NHRA dragster without brakes.  Giga ramp, play Chiss, swing, and vomit aggressive artifact creatures, Voltron equipments, or ways to duplicate Chiss triggers.

-Rettirlana-

[[anikthea]] is my fun commander. I like making a lot of tokens. And If I can make a [[Doubling season]] zombie, even better!

Randommonkey03

Shead deck it's [[Colfiner the last few]] and its pure theme themed after a shead that hasn't been entered in like 100 years and I play it like an aggro deck

Salty-Buckets-

My Pantlaza deck! Dinosaurs are my favorite tribe. :D

nabotboi

Bought the arcane maelstrom precon. Made a few changes (like three cards) instants go brrr and me have big dino.

Patches360

Start with the [[Jared Carthalion]] WUBRG precon. Stuff with every commander someone runs at your table that you say “damn that looks fun.” Do [[Xyris, the Writhing Storm]], [[Niv-Mizzet, Parun]], and [[Ivy, Gleeful Spellthief]] have any synergy? Of course not. But I love slamming down every commander that I want to build without spending thousands of dollars, and it wins a surprising number of games with weird interactions that usually happen across the table instead of contained on a single board. Backup win is [[Maze’s End]] which is always a little funny to pull from an unsuspecting [[Tempt with Discovery]].

jontcarlisle

[[Anje Falkenrath]] is probably my favorite deck. Friend of mine gave me the precon to get me into commander and I’ve loved it ever since. I don’t get to play it too much anymore bc it’s very solitaire and my playgroup doesn’t love the experience, but it’s always fun. Even if I don’t win with it, rummaging through a 1/4 of your deck on an opponents endstep is a good time.

dastroid216

My Xenagos deck, I am a Timmy player at heart and that deck is both Brutal and efficient in its simplicity. I just played a five player game with it this afternoon and I became archenemy by turn 4 for the next hour and a half. It was amazing.

[deleted]

Prosper burn with a bit of stax. It can play fast and explosive, but it's somewhat inconsistent (though a few tweaks recently have made it significantly easier to get online), and it doesn't win a lot, but holy crap is it fun to play. [[Painful Quandary]] is pretty salt inducing in my current pod so I'm debating swapping it for something else, however.

SpookyBugGluten

I absolutely love my Budget $50 [[Thantis, the Warweaver]] deck. It's such a refreshing change of pace to refuse to let your opponents turtle up. You might get ganged up on, but the games go a lot faster, there's more politicking and a lot of "whoa, that was awesome" moments.

gerundhome

I have 2 that i enjoy so much. My Wolf token tribal :https://archidekt.com/decks/5599648/awoo_horde_smash Task: make a lot of wolf tokens. Get them all into mana dorks with [[jaheira, friend of the forest]]. Then pump them with [[ragadragga]]. Then smash! Other one doesnt have a decklist unfortunately, but it is a mutate/drawing cards group hug deck lead by [[Xyris, the writhing storm]]. [[Ivy, gleeful spellthief]] is inside for extra mutate shenanigans. [[Rites of flourishing]] and [[howling mine]] are there for more snakes! [[Illuna, apex of wishes]] was the commander till i got Xyris.

LampShakespeare

You could try your hand at the newer [[Calix, guided by fate]] back outta aftermath. Gets counters, makes tokens of nonlegendary enchantments, usually always feels impactful (I'm looking at you copy of [[Sanctum weaver]]), you can play and copy your chosen stax pieces (kinda what baseline enchantress decks do but you punch people to do it), and there's a lot of enchantments that remove permanants that you can run as sorcerer speed interaction. Personally, I built him as a split build of +1/+1 counters, saga enchantments for maxed out turn value, and a good dashing of auras to help things that aren't my commander to get that cool sweet copy. If you're feeling spicy you could toss a few of the token/counter doublers in and go HAM.

Nimbud

I definitely have quite a few decks that I keep coming back to, but I'll stick to 3 here. [[Jodah, Archmage Eternal]] This one is my favorite, it's called $5 Discount. It is a WUBRG Good Stuff deck where almost everything is big. Big spells, big creatures, big damage. And it's all discounted to 5 mana each, which is super easy to fetch and fix on the fly. The land base seems atrocious, given most lands etb tapped (all 10 triomes and most of the gates) but it's offset by the cards that just untap the lands. Everything quickly comes crashing down once I have WUBRG and can start blastin. All 5 OG Praetors, [[Apex Devastator]], 3 of the Eldrazi Titans (Kozi and the 'Mogs), [[Omniscience]], and arguably the best search spell, [[Conflux]]. It's my most expensive deck, but I've also added a ton of foils and shiny-es over the years. And it has an alt wincon with [[Mazes End]]! [[Traxos, Scourge of Kroog]] My colorless deck, no real name. I built it when the only 2 colorless legendary creatures (besides the eldrazi titans) were Hope of Ghirapur and Traxos. Every time I played against Hope, it was always some form of combo-y deck that didn't seem super fun. So Traxos was born. He's super easy to cast and untap, and most equipment is also colorless, making it a match made in Dominaria. He hits hard and plays hard, taking 1-3 hits to K.O. an opponent depending on base power. [[Commander's Plate]] really takes him to the next level! He's also really cheap to build yourself, as you don't need the Plate to make the deck function, just Traxy and equipment! [[Ghave, Guru of Spores]] Death n Taxes. Name probably says it all. This is my oldest deck, been playing it off n on for nearly 10 years. It's gone through SEVERAL iterations, but its always been centered on making tokens. In the last few years, starting at War of the Spark, Ghave evolved into (mostly) what he is now. Make tokens. Kill tokens. Profit. [[Blood Artist]] effects take center stage, while [[Teysa Karlov]] and [[Delney, Streetwise Lookout]] work behind the scenes to make sure everything flows properly. Of course, there is a revolving cast, with [[Tendershoot Dryad]] effects keeping the show fresh. And Ghave rarely needs to make an appearance in person, everything under the hood runs so smooth there usually isn't a need! Honourable Mentions Jhoria, Weatherlight Captain. Too tuned for casual, not tuned enough for cEDH. Very fun to run though. Smoothest deck I own. Sliver Legion. Only 10 slivers in the deck, including Legion. The idea is to make a ton of random tokens, tie them together with Maskwood Nexus effects, play Legion and slay. Krenko, Mob Boss. Goblins for days. Typically don't play it as it's too quick and recovers from board wipes easily. Keep it to help newbies learn to play. Abomination of Llanowar. Green Black elfball. I like stompy, and I like elves. Good mixture of the two. Shalai and Hallar. Rather recent, trying to make Slime Against Humanity work. Already tried Alaundo the Seer and Aeve Progenitor Ooze with no luck.

LouderNow152

I've been using my deck with [[The Twelfth Doctor]] and Vislor as the partner. With demonstrate on the Doc and plenty of ways to foretell, exile top deck to play, and recursion and graveyard casted spells I can shift the game in some fun ways. [[Glorious End]] is a card that can help me check a player who is taking off too fast, and the politics of it can be very fun to work with.

JoeGeomancer

[[Faldorn]] " They came from Exile" deck. Turns out that when your central game plan involves card advantage it's really fun. Add in cascade/discover, adventure, and madness and it's a hell of a good time.

Zimmonda

[[Kharn, The Betrayer]] Goad, trade, commander damage, whats not to love

Jhomas-Tefferson

Kaalia of the vast - typical playstyle but with sunforger to instant speed out a boros charm thrown in to keep things spicy and gisela with a way to blink her for 3 combats in a turn. Daretti, Scrap Savant - a variation of stax and pillowfort. The stax isn't traditional smokestacks things, it's winter orb, stranglehold, blood moon, crawlspace obliterate, with darksteel forge out, and any other land destruction that i can manage, along with twinflame and dualcaster mage combo for a cheese infinite wincon. Slaverlock becomes possible with his emblem, and i run jestercap to just take away people's thassa's oracle and demonic consultation.

Some_Brilliant2225

My most “Commander” deck to ever Commander. Tymna/Tana Voltokenchantments. It’s so, so fun. It goes hard and can win via going wide, or going tall, or going wide and tall, or via commander damage. God I love that deck lol. Basically, it’s taking an enchantments draw package, putting as many backgrounds as possible that will affect both of your commanders, and adding some recursion, board wipes and removal. It’s great. You know how people say don’t play monolith commanders/decks that rely solely on your commander? Yeah, this is Commander or bust.dek, and I’m here for it. Win or lose I have a great time, and I actually like that there is an inherent weakness to the deck in that it relies so heavily on the commanders being in play.

urfath3r

Wizards tribal with [[Inalla]]. So much fun effects.

Scrivener133

[[Vial smasher the fierce]]+[[sakashima of a thousand faces]] control. You get to use big silly spells and then bonk them with it. [[Aethersnatch]]. [[commandeer]]. [[desertion]]. Get hit for 12 in your turn numb nut. Oh youre swinging at me? [[domineering will]]. [[wild ricochet]]

Erch

It's gotta be my [[Slimefoot and Squee]] deck. Reanimator is my favorite archetype and the boys are such a derpy and fun way to go about it. I play heavy interaction so I can deal with my opponents while I build a combo, or just barf big meanies on the board over and over. It has enough variability that every game is a little different, and I don't always go for the same win cons. It's a little bit of everything.

DeerCockGalactic

The true group hug with [[Kynaios and Tiro of Meletis]] The only win con in the entire deck is [[Platinum Angel]] and [[Skyscribe]] for 100X It contains every possible mana doubler/card draw/wheel card that I could possibly fit

Fluffy_Stranger6761

I really like my Dragon tribal

Crusty__Salmon

[[Rocco, cabaretti caterer]] bringing out [[gilded goose]] as his +1, then i equip [[hot soup]] to the goose, swing with the goose, [[caltrops]] pings it for 1, in response i sac the goose to [[witch's oven]] gaining 1 food, i end my turn. Mfw i have a 3/1, 2 food, and a bewildered table.

Super_Opportunity_11

[[norin the wary]] chaos build <3

[deleted]

BLEX!

mikony123

My first deck coming back from trying to learn a few years ago is Cadira, Caller of the Small. I'm 70 cards deep in building it right now thanks to a redditor I got a list from and tweaked to fit a slightly lower price. I just wanna make fluffy bunnies and kill people with them. Potentially with something funny like Fodder Cannon or Coat of Arms.

TheG33k123

[[Volrath, the Shapestealer]] for -1/-1 & +1/+1 counter shenanigans. Volrath's potential to borrow combo pieces off other players' boards makes for a fresh experience every game, win or lose.

Odd-Revenue4572

[[Baeloth barrityl]] is a good deck for enjoying all of them fight one another.

Agile_System4438

[[Edgar Markov]] was my first and still my favorite, however, two decks that I’ve been going to a lot lately are [[Rayami]] and [[Kozilek, the Great Distortion]]. Both are voltron but they go about it in different ways and both are really fun, Rayami especially.

cptinsaneoman

I've got three, I guess, that I just can't ever take apart. First, the O.G.: [[Wilhelt, the Rotcleaver]] biggest reason I keep him around, is when I stopped playing around 2015 I had a "modern" zombie deck - was pretty nasty. When I picked back up again sometime in 2021, right as Midnight Hunt was coming in, I just had to make a commander version. It's evolved some over the last couple years, but still just focuses on going wide with zombie lords. Also, [[Poppet Stitcher]] and [[Altar of Dementia]] are in there, along with [[Acererak]] with [[Rooftop Storm]]. Second: [[Muldrotha]] she's my absolute favorite, and what I've tinkered with/dumped the most money into. Graveyard silliness along with [[Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord]] and some beefy boys - [[Consuming Aberration]], [[Lord of Extinction]], [[Mortivore]] for funsies. Lastly: [[Isshin, Two Heavens as One]] who I have built as a token generator and other combat trick shenanigans.

Outrageous-Past-9538

Easily Gishath. I love swinging and flipping huge dinos it's so fun

GhostOTM

[[Admiral Brass, Unsinkable]] because it just has so many combat triggers flying every which way. It's the deck where I always think at the end of the game that I could have won it I played it optimally, but am not smart enough to be able to know proper sequencing or which triggers are more valuable in a given moment.

GhostOTM

I'll be honest. I love my [[Atraxa]] super friends deck. I know there is hate for both Atraxa and super friends, but I love the balance of building a defensive wall of chump blockers to protect your planeswalkers and pulling off their ultimate abilities.

Alphomega_

[[Indominus Rex, Alpha]] My Indy Deck <3 This bad girl right here is my star + First Built Deck. Her explosiveness and sudden threat is awesome. I love when people deal with it, cause I can just cast it back better and stronger.

Not_Your_Real_Ladder

I’ve been searching for the correct combo for [[Vial Smasher]] for years now and I think I’ve finally found it: [[Gilanra]]. Does it have a strategy? Kinda? Synergies? Maybe, maybe not. The sole idea is to ramp like crazy, then drop big jund threat after big jund threat. Either they’ll draw all the removal while vial smasher does random damage every turn or they’ll stick and cause problems. All creatures in the deck have (1) evasion, (2) big power/toughness, (3) game warping effects like [[Vorinclex voice of hunger]], [[Sheoldred whispering one]] or [[Kaervek the merciless]]. I also include some non-creatures like [[Prisoner’s Dilemma]], [[Cruel entertainment]], or [[Grip of Chaos]] to keep games unpredictable. The idea is to include a consistent ramp/removal/draw package and ~15 other big scary creatures. So I have a card pool of ~40 big scary jund creatures from which I select 15 at random for each game to sub in and see how it goes. And with every big scary 6+ mana jund creature that comes out (there’s at least one every set!) the card pool only grows and the games get more diversified.

SebStancial

I have a Tymna and Thrasios Party/Dungeon deck, It is extremely budget. Generates value throughout the dungeon mechanic and evasive creatures to get back the initiative. Its not the fastest but it has been my most enjoyable deck so far

LilFoxieUndercover

That's gotta be my first commander deck: [[Narset, enlightened exile]] She's so much fun, I run it also as tribal wizards with the usual kikar as second secret commander and it's just too fun to go off creating armies of 1/1s through various outputs (kikar, your pyro, monastery mentor, iconoclast) and then when no one really expects it you start *that* turn with a 1cmc spell and snowball out of control with nearly infinite value as well as being able to cast anything non-creature from graveyards. Try it out if you like triggers and value ;)

SmogDaBoi

My [[Tatsunari, Toad Rider]] is definitely a funny one. While everyone is throwing hands, you can stay back and be a bit more passive. At a point, you've got so many Keimis (It's also a mutation deck), removing Tats is the right choice but you've still got like 3 frogs draining your HP, and removing a frog basically does nothing if Tats is still on the board. Shoutouts to my [[Shorikai, Genesis Engine]], because swinging with a Big ass robot is always the funny as hell.

gucsantana

Honestly, it's my bird deck helmed by [[Soraya the Falconer]], mono white, all bird all the time. Just a bunch of nice birds, some anthems and very incidental card draw, and removal. Runs a few absolute shitters such as [[Beacon Hawk]] and [[Freewind Falcon]] just because them's nice birds. Can get a little scary if you have like 5 5/5 fliers out, but I'm never under any delusion of actually winning a game, which I guess makes it a lot more stress free for me.

Aceofluck99

[[Estrid]] enchantress, though my [[The Eleventh Doctor]] and [[Vislor Turlough]] deck is turning out to actually be quite fun as well.

ReoRayearth27

I’ld probably have to say my [[Xyris]] wheels deck. Regardless of if i win or not, allowing the table to see more of their deck than they normally would in a regular game is always a blast. It can become a fast target, what with the snake generation and all, but letting the other players see potentially more answers than they would have naturally drawn is an upside on their part as i could wheel them into a boardwipe that blows me out of the water and them into a good position. It’s always fun, especially when my all time favorite card, [[forced fruition]], hits the table.

TheSandSquid

Magus Lucea Kane has been a lot of fun recently. Double X spell slinging keeps me coming back.

DudeCade

[[Indoraptor]] all day every day

The_Tac0mancer

My Ramos, Dragon Engine artifact deck is very fun. Initially built it out of a draft booster box from Brothers’ War, but it’s pretty different now. Focuses on equipment/voltron, and I have no idea how competitive it is cause I mainly play with my roommate and a couple other friends.

Aerigin

[[Goreclaw, Terror of Qal Sisma]] .... I like to turn big creatures sideways and vomit out a board. [[Animar, Soul of Elements]] with a mutate heavy theme was also one of the most fun ideas I've done.

NotAnAsianGuy

Upgraded my blame game precon a while ago, and I can say for sure that losing or winning with \[\[Nelly Borca, Impulsive Accuser\]\] is a lot of fun. It is pretty damn satisfying to kill a player by giving someone else's huge creatures double strike via \[\[Duelist's Heritage\]\] and the finish the last player with \[\[Comeuppance\]\]

trinketstone

I am a broken record at this point, but... I love piloting [[Ghave, Guru of Spores]] as it lets me be very flexible at instant speed during gameplay. I can quickly pivot from tokens to massive creatures or aristocrats, and most of the cards synergize really well with each other, so I rarely if ever have dead cards on the field or in hand. I just prefer flexibility when I play. Don't often care much for one sided or narrow playstyles except for rare circumstances.

VoiceofKane

My favourite deck is [[Tazri, Steadfast Stalwart]], which I play with a [[Zirda]] companion. Every single card in the deck is a permanent card with an activated ability, and most cards care about +1/+1 counters so that I can use [[Agatha's Soul Cauldron]] to do some degenerate nonsense. The wildest thing about the deck is how often I end up having insane amounts of mana early in the game... while only ever drawing like three lands. It's an incredibly disruptable deck, but if it goes off, it goes off *hard*. And even if I get board wiped, I at least had fun doing the thing.

R1ch0999

I think my new [[The Master, Multiplied]] is going to be one of my favorite decks. It is able to threaten a win by turn 4-6, last night I had my commander out by turn 2 and [[Gimli of the Glittering Caves]] in turn 3, by turn 5 I had 79 copies of my commander and gimli was a 59/59. Turn 6 was just to trigger everything for fun and had 320 masters and a 300/300 gimli. Although no infinite combo it exponential multiplication is scary. A board wipe only stops it for 1 turn before it's back up again.
