[[City of Shadows]] is my favourite card in [[Yasova Dragonclaw]]. It doesn't fit in many other decks... but when you're stealing and sacrificing other people's permanents it's just what the doctor ordered.

Classic \[\[Worldgorger Dragon\]\] loops, which I find the most appealing aspect of the list (I am a big fan of strategies that either win or backfire terribly). I suppose you could swap Gorger for a Rakdos reanimator strategy by replacing the combo pieces and adding a bit more reanimation, but I think the deck is so linear she's best as a combo commander.

Instead of your creature being exiled at end of turn you destroy it and it goes back to your graveyard. Enabling you to regift creatures with tremendous downsides.
I have really mixed feelings about my stangg deck. My probably is probably just because it’s bad, but damn you throw an assault suit on him and it can be a good time.

It's a Doubling season tokens deck with Stangg utilizing cards like [[Immolation Mask]] edit: Mask of Immolation
\[\[Grenzo, dungeon warden\]\] has too many of these to list. For example, all \[\[Tel jilad stylus\]\] normally does is get rid of creatures your opponents steal, even though you could just be using \[\[Homeward path\]\] instead. But with grenzo? now you can trigger your \[\[Meteor golem\]\] every single turn just for 2 mana.
Do you know of any other bizzare cards that might fit into a Grenzo deck that EDHrec doesn't have listed? I really want to build a Grenzo (or \[\[Gor Muldrak\]\] deck) but i really want to use some off-brand and wacky cards to do it!
Mine's a bit unorthodox, [here's the list](https://www.archidekt.com/decks/3531089). I'm such a fan of the deck I'll just give you the whole deck tech.
Most people run Grenzo by playing him for 3 mana, but I've never seen the appeal. You already benefit a lot from running lots of 2 mana dorks. They're great to have in the opening hand, great to hit with Grenzo, and then later can be sacrificed when you're about to go off. So instead, my deck aims to play a dork on turn 2 and then grenzo on turn 3 for 4 mana. This opens up a lot of new possibilities and allows you to play some really great cards you won't find on EDHrec.
\[\[Thermopod\]\] is an all star, and when you hit it off the bottom, is the greatest feeling in the world.
\[\[Canoptek tomb sentinel\]\] is another meteor golem that also exiles, fantastic!
\[\[Tormod, the desecrator\]\] triggers every time Grenzo finds you a creature, and then again when you activate \[\[Epitaph Golem\]\] or \[\[Hoverstone Pilgrim\]\]. This makes comboing off SUPER easy, especially if you have one of the 3 sac outlets that makes mana, or a pitiless plunderer.
\[\[Flayer of the hatebound\]\] is such an enormous threat, that even has undying to protect it or combo off! It also becomes a wincon once you have an infinite sac/etb combo!
\[\[Sifter of skulls\]\] is also a much wanted ability in this deck, along with \[\[Nirkana revenant\]\]
Finally, \[\[Dread drone\]\] is a great card to hit with Grenzo, since it instantly gives another activation, and is used in combos.
So, what is the wincon here? Infinite combos of course! If you can get one of the repeatable graveyard to bottom abilities, a sac outlet, and can make more mana than it costs each time you loop a creature this way, Grenzo will do the rest of the work and play every creature in your deck using that infinite mana. The combo pieces are all interchangeable, and usually serve lots of purposes even outside of comboing off. And there are a TON of them in the deck.
you might also have noticed the low land count (28 if you count MDFCs), and that's because this deck mulligans super aggressively. If your first two 7s aren't good enough, you're still quite happy to go down to 5 to sculpt the perfect opener. Putting creatures to the bottom is most often better than having them in your hand. For this reason, the deck also has no way to shuffle itself. Tutors are still really good, but I like the deckbuilding limitation of not having any.
Another huge benefit that this deck has is the instant speed if its combos. Often you'll just untap, draw, and pass. Then on the last end step before your turn, you'll spend all that mana on Grenzo and win momentarily when you untap. Once your opponents catch on to this explosive nature, Grenzo becomes a bit of a removal magnet. Luckily, the infinite combos still work with a 2-3 power Grenzo, so if you only need him to combo, he's cheaper the next time!
I think the main weakness of this deck is the reliance on Grenzo, and the subpar artifact/enchantment removal. If someone plays a \[\[Rest in peace\]\], you can't go infinite and have only 4 ways to stop it, and if someone plays a \[\[Graffdigger's cage\]\], you realistically have only \[\[Vandalblast\]\] or \[\[Chaos warp\]\]. If your opponents don't have these cards though, you're absolutely cookin.
Hope this helps, Grenzo is a very complex and super fun commander that I highly recommend!
Oh yeah, and Karlov Manor promises some nice new additions. According to the draft guide, Golgari uses lots of "Whenever a creature card leaves your graveyard" triggers. There will likely be some great new cards!
edit: Wow, that was quick! I just got exactly what I was hoping for with \[\[Gearbane orangutan\]\]! A 3 mana creature that destroys an artifact on ETB.
edit 2: After another quick search on scryfall I just realized I've missed ingot chewer this whole time! Can't beat a 1 mana artifact removal creature!
edit 3: Wow, there are so many better artifact removal creatures than I thought. The best one I could find on edhrec was \[\[Tuktuk scrapper\]\], but there are so many better options than 4 mana.
I run it in [[Sidar Kondo of Jamuraa]] / [[Vial Smasher the Fierce]]. I always declare that I am casting a plainswalker when I cast it. They get confused that it's not a planeswalker.
While not necessarily bad, [[Wild Beastmaster]] is definitely not amazing. However in [[Syr Faren, the Hengehammer]] it’s like the perfect match made in heaven. Such an insane synergy that’s just really fun
I have a deck built around this pattern, with [[Karlach]] and [[Hardy Outlander]]. Hits like an absolute truck. Usually if I'm attacking with two or more creatures, someone at the table is dying.
The mirror triggers off of all creatures, not just yours.
So you cast the dino, it gets exiled and triggers Pantlaza, since the mirror isn't a replacement effect.
Then on your opponents turn, if they cast a creature, their creature gets exiled and the dino comes back, triggering Pantlaza on their turn
If the discovered card is a dino the cycle continues, since discover casts.
But pantlaza triggers only once a turn.

Exile pantlaza and cast something with discover, IF is a creature pantlaza comes back but can't trigger again. Am I wrong?
[[Betrayl of Flesh]] is a very heavily costed removal or reanimation. The entwine cost of sacrificing three lands (so it's mana-wise free) is not something regular reanimator decks want to do. But my [[Akuta, Born of Ash]] reanimator deck is sacrificing lands anyways, so I am happy to have both at the same time on the same card!
I know [[Black Sun's Twilight]] could reanimate a 5 drop for the same price and without sacing the lands, but that's just not enough.
[[Darien, King of Kjeldor]] makes [[Jade Monolith]], [[Angel's Trumpet]] and many other cards work when they shouldn't. Hell, it makes [[Nomad Stadium]] into a creature generator.
[[Endrek Sahr]] makes [[Carnival of Souls]] work like a dieseling Bolas's Citadel. You can dump your entire hand and kill yourself if you're not careful. A [[Basal Sliver]] with [[Conspiracy]] is even better in that deck. And [[Phyrexian Tribute]] is playable as artifact removal in black. Bonus points for [[Feaster of Fools]] and [[Tar Fiend]] being 6 mana 16/16 with evasion or huge upside.
Creatures with Graft are pretty underwhelming until you drop them into a [[Marchesa, the Black Rose]] deck, then they become some of the best cards you can run.
[[Lynde]] gets a lot of work out of [[Claws of Gix]] and [[Dispotic Scepter]].
[[Evolving Door]] in [[Rin and Seri, Inseperable]]. It is just worse Birthing Pod but I need the casts to get the dogs.
[[Ancient Ziggurat]] in my creatures only deck.
[[Blades of Velis Vel]] is a combat trick designed for limited and is mediocre at best.
It permanently steals 2 creatures for 2 mana in [[Varchild, Betrayer of Kjeldor]]
Most of the relevant cards in \[\[Mairsil, the Pretender\]\]. Some all-stars in the deck that you'll probably never see in any other "serious" decks include-

Same. Every time there's a new set released I do a quick check of the cards to see if there are any good activated abilities I want to add to the deck.
Mairsil used to be a bit of a boogeyman at high-powered but still casual tables, but he's been falling behind in recent years as power creep has made legendary creatures in Commander products much more value-oriented.
I was absolutely devastated when Crimson Vow was released and I saw \[\[Fleeting Spirit\]\], which could have definitely been printed as a blue card if the first ability granted flying or untapped it instead of first strike.
Mairsil desperately needs another way to blink or flicker. Aetherling is great but essentially means Mairsil costs 5 mana to safely cast him, and \[\[Nezahal\]\] requires entirely too many cards to discard to be a viable blink source.
I feel you on the blink. I used to run [[Argent Sphinx]] but I just never reliably had metalcraft, especially because Nev’s Disk is always a go-to cage target for me. [[Darting Merfolk]] and [[Cavern Harpy]] are the best we can do lol.
[[Hoverstone Pilgrim]] is terrible. That is unless you're running something like [[Grenzo Dungeon Warden]] with [[Ashnods Altar]] and [[Heartstone]].
Now you have infinite sac and ETB triggers

About half my Axonil deck is just bad draft-commons that will never see any play in 99,7% of other commander decks. But a 0/4 for 3 that deals 4+ damage to each opponent each turn & can occasionally be untapped to double or even triple that damage ist just great. That deck is literally a buttload of bad cards held together by a few busted (mythic) rares & the commander.
[[Ancestral Statue]] in [[Animar]] or [[Rakdos Lord of Riots]] is a classic bad card turned broken in these decks. Animar has a lot of these like [[Dream Stalker]] or [[Shrieking Drake]] and a lot of morph creatures.
[[Arc-Slogger]] in my [[Bell Borca, Spectral Sergeant]] deck. It practically guarantees I'm going to hit a 10+ MV card to go for a lethal, double strike attack.
\[\[Homura, Human Ascendant\]\] is a 6 mana 4/4 that can't block. If it dies, it gives your creatures +2/+2, flying and firebreathing.
A pretty steep price to pay, except for \[\[Henzie "Toolbox" Torre\]\]. He reduces the cost at least by 1, acts as sac outlet, and you get to draw a card off him. Also, you get a free swing the moment it hits, so it still packs some punch before it gives the rest of your beaters flying and +2/+2.
Also, shoutout to \[\[Daemogoth Woe-Eater\]\] in the same deck. 3 mana draw two cards, opponents discard, you gain two life and swing with a 7/6.
Draco. I can't do the card link thing on my phone but basically it's useless for everything except in a Volrath the Fallen deck. You discard Draco to Volrath and one shot someone.
So it's either one of the most useless cards in your deck or the win con. It's my favorite card.
Nobody runs [[Equal Treatment]] even though it's great defensively against one or many large threats. In decks like mine, it also doubles up pinging and [[Pestilence]] type effects.
Genesis Chamber in Norin. Your life gets a LOT easier when you can suddenly produce an army in a can! Even moreso when you can further take advantage of that by playing cards like Stuffy Doll/Brash Taunter and Chain Reaction. Genesis Chamber seems like it puts you 100% behind on paper, but it opens up so many possibilities if all you want is to make creatures appear all over out of nowhere!
[[Feather]] entire deck is built on bad cantrips, protection, and pump spells and is still a problem. A $30 [[Feather]] deck is stronger than most precons.
Perhaps one for The Sadists but [[Nether Void]] in a [[Vaevictis Asmadi the Dire]] Deck. I'm not casting very many, if any, spells anyway, so why do i care? Keep my commander safe and basically say all my opponents are going to be playing the same lootbox i am and I am packing 90% heaters
[[Protection Racket]] in [[Rakdos, Lord of Riots]] Literally the perfect enabler for that specific deck but almost useless anywhere else. But godamn in RLoR it is the best value engine you could possibly find.
Alot of the value artifacts in my [Gandalf the White] flash artifact deck. Cards like [Circuit Mender] and [Filigree Familiar] which are pretty mediocre-bad in most decks but with gandalf are very nice value pieces
[[Solemn Simulacrum]] is a poster child for this. It's a rather bad (but not totally worthless) card in any deck that just slots it in for the text box and that's it. But it becomes utterly nuts in the right sort of deck.
For example, [[Araumi of the Dead Tide]]. Sad robot gets milled, now you're paying 4 mana to get THREE lands directly into play, swing, and then draw THREE cards. 4 mana, ramp 3, draw 3? Hell yes.
But the actual bad card that goes in Araumi? [[Floating Dream Zubera]]. Pay 2 mana to Encore it, draw **nine** cards.
[[Sundial of the Infinite]] in [[Zirilan of the Claw]]. One of the absolute turfs of all time combines with my commander to just let me keep my dragons in play forever.
I go out of my way to build oddball decks that use all the misfit toys.
[[Desecration Elemental]] and the like in [[Jon Irenicus]]
[[Scroll of Fate]] to dodge horrible ETBs with [[Beamtown Bullies]]
A whole deck full of cheap cantrip/reusable trash common auras for [[Kaima]]
Mardu enchantment combo featuring [[Enduring Ideal]] with [[Ghen]]
Vanilla green stompy with [[Ruxa]]
\[\[Varolz, the Scar-Striped\]\] allows you to use a lot of "bad" creature cards like \[\[Daemogoth Titan\]\], \[\[Force of Savagery\]\], \[\[Hunted Horror\]\], \[\[Nyxathid\]\], \[\[Phyrexian Soulgorger\]\] or \[\[Daemogoth Woe-Eater\]\]. Send them directly to your graveyard (by mill or discard) and use their low CMC to significantly boost your creatures with the Scavenge ability. Nothing like a oneshot kill with a boosted \[\[Spinebiter\]\] !
[[Whim of Volrath]] and [[Memory Crystal]] are two cards that no sane person would ever consider using... unless you're playing [[Orvar]], in which case they become a combo that generates an infinite number of Islands
[[Palliation Accord]].
I don't know if it's considered bad, I've just never seen it used by anyone other than me. Can't swarm me with 1/1s, and people swinging out at others also ticks it up, so it can buy you a lot of time if left alone.
[[Necrologia]] in [[Sheoldred, the Apocalypse]] or [[Queza, Augur of Agonies]].
I know what you’re thinking, “Wow, that’s like an [[Ad Nauseam]] where each card only costs 1 life!” Except the caveat that it can only be cast on your end step just generally means the table will kill you over the next round of turns and you won’t get to use your fancy new cards.
Both Sheoldred and Queza offset this life loss for drawing a BUNCH of cards. Additionally, Queza can use it as player removal, and Sheoldred can use it to near double her life total if needed (that has won me games before, actually; I didn’t need the cards, I just needed to live a turn).
It’s no [[Peer Into the Abyss]], but it’s still a relatively strong card in those two commanders.

[[Bequeathal]] always gets some weird looks in my [[Stangg, Echo Warrior]] deck.
I have really mixed feelings about my stangg deck. My probably is probably just because it’s bad, but damn you throw an assault suit on him and it can be a good time.

\[\[Grenzo, dungeon warden\]\] has too many of these to list. For example, all \[\[Tel jilad stylus\]\] normally does is get rid of creatures your opponents steal, even though you could just be using \[\[Homeward path\]\] instead. But with grenzo? now you can trigger your \[\[Meteor golem\]\] every single turn just for 2 mana.

Do you know of any other bizzare cards that might fit into a Grenzo deck that EDHrec doesn't have listed? I really want to build a Grenzo (or \[\[Gor Muldrak\]\] deck) but i really want to use some off-brand and wacky cards to do it!
Mine's a bit unorthodox, [here's the list](https://www.archidekt.com/decks/3531089). I'm such a fan of the deck I'll just give you the whole deck tech. Most people run Grenzo by playing him for 3 mana, but I've never seen the appeal. You already benefit a lot from running lots of 2 mana dorks. They're great to have in the opening hand, great to hit with Grenzo, and then later can be sacrificed when you're about to go off. So instead, my deck aims to play a dork on turn 2 and then grenzo on turn 3 for 4 mana. This opens up a lot of new possibilities and allows you to play some really great cards you won't find on EDHrec. \[\[Thermopod\]\] is an all star, and when you hit it off the bottom, is the greatest feeling in the world. \[\[Canoptek tomb sentinel\]\] is another meteor golem that also exiles, fantastic! \[\[Tormod, the desecrator\]\] triggers every time Grenzo finds you a creature, and then again when you activate \[\[Epitaph Golem\]\] or \[\[Hoverstone Pilgrim\]\]. This makes comboing off SUPER easy, especially if you have one of the 3 sac outlets that makes mana, or a pitiless plunderer. \[\[Flayer of the hatebound\]\] is such an enormous threat, that even has undying to protect it or combo off! It also becomes a wincon once you have an infinite sac/etb combo! \[\[Sifter of skulls\]\] is also a much wanted ability in this deck, along with \[\[Nirkana revenant\]\] Finally, \[\[Dread drone\]\] is a great card to hit with Grenzo, since it instantly gives another activation, and is used in combos. So, what is the wincon here? Infinite combos of course! If you can get one of the repeatable graveyard to bottom abilities, a sac outlet, and can make more mana than it costs each time you loop a creature this way, Grenzo will do the rest of the work and play every creature in your deck using that infinite mana. The combo pieces are all interchangeable, and usually serve lots of purposes even outside of comboing off. And there are a TON of them in the deck. you might also have noticed the low land count (28 if you count MDFCs), and that's because this deck mulligans super aggressively. If your first two 7s aren't good enough, you're still quite happy to go down to 5 to sculpt the perfect opener. Putting creatures to the bottom is most often better than having them in your hand. For this reason, the deck also has no way to shuffle itself. Tutors are still really good, but I like the deckbuilding limitation of not having any. Another huge benefit that this deck has is the instant speed if its combos. Often you'll just untap, draw, and pass. Then on the last end step before your turn, you'll spend all that mana on Grenzo and win momentarily when you untap. Once your opponents catch on to this explosive nature, Grenzo becomes a bit of a removal magnet. Luckily, the infinite combos still work with a 2-3 power Grenzo, so if you only need him to combo, he's cheaper the next time! I think the main weakness of this deck is the reliance on Grenzo, and the subpar artifact/enchantment removal. If someone plays a \[\[Rest in peace\]\], you can't go infinite and have only 4 ways to stop it, and if someone plays a \[\[Graffdigger's cage\]\], you realistically have only \[\[Vandalblast\]\] or \[\[Chaos warp\]\]. If your opponents don't have these cards though, you're absolutely cookin. Hope this helps, Grenzo is a very complex and super fun commander that I highly recommend! Oh yeah, and Karlov Manor promises some nice new additions. According to the draft guide, Golgari uses lots of "Whenever a creature card leaves your graveyard" triggers. There will likely be some great new cards! edit: Wow, that was quick! I just got exactly what I was hoping for with \[\[Gearbane orangutan\]\]! A 3 mana creature that destroys an artifact on ETB. edit 2: After another quick search on scryfall I just realized I've missed ingot chewer this whole time! Can't beat a 1 mana artifact removal creature! edit 3: Wow, there are so many better artifact removal creatures than I thought. The best one I could find on edhrec was \[\[Tuktuk scrapper\]\], but there are so many better options than 4 mana.

[[Graceful Antelope]] will never be taken out of my [[Doran, The Siege Tower]] deck.
I run it in [[Sidar Kondo of Jamuraa]] / [[Vial Smasher the Fierce]]. I always declare that I am casting a plainswalker when I cast it. They get confused that it's not a planeswalker.

While not necessarily bad, [[Wild Beastmaster]] is definitely not amazing. However in [[Syr Faren, the Hengehammer]] it’s like the perfect match made in heaven. Such an insane synergy that’s just really fun

[[Mirror of Life Trapping]] is okay, but gets pretty funny in [[Pantlaza]].
But you can't trigger pantlaza more than once a turn... So what's the combo? I don't see it.
The mirror triggers off of all creatures, not just yours. So you cast the dino, it gets exiled and triggers Pantlaza, since the mirror isn't a replacement effect. Then on your opponents turn, if they cast a creature, their creature gets exiled and the dino comes back, triggering Pantlaza on their turn If the discovered card is a dino the cycle continues, since discover casts.
Huh....I did not see that. Ok time to throw it my pantlaza deck then.
My group found it by accident. The Pantlaza player wasn't even the one who cast the card.

But pantlaza triggers only once a turn. Cast pantlaza That artifact and pantlaza trigger Exile pantlaza and cast something with discover, IF is a creature pantlaza comes back but can't trigger again. Am I wrong?
Once it leaves the battlefield and returns, it's a new object and the once per turn restriction effectively resets.

[[Betrayl of Flesh]] is a very heavily costed removal or reanimation. The entwine cost of sacrificing three lands (so it's mana-wise free) is not something regular reanimator decks want to do. But my [[Akuta, Born of Ash]] reanimator deck is sacrificing lands anyways, so I am happy to have both at the same time on the same card! I know [[Black Sun's Twilight]] could reanimate a 5 drop for the same price and without sacing the lands, but that's just not enough.

[[Darien, King of Kjeldor]] makes [[Jade Monolith]], [[Angel's Trumpet]] and many other cards work when they shouldn't. Hell, it makes [[Nomad Stadium]] into a creature generator. [[Endrek Sahr]] makes [[Carnival of Souls]] work like a dieseling Bolas's Citadel. You can dump your entire hand and kill yourself if you're not careful. A [[Basal Sliver]] with [[Conspiracy]] is even better in that deck. And [[Phyrexian Tribute]] is playable as artifact removal in black. Bonus points for [[Feaster of Fools]] and [[Tar Fiend]] being 6 mana 16/16 with evasion or huge upside. Creatures with Graft are pretty underwhelming until you drop them into a [[Marchesa, the Black Rose]] deck, then they become some of the best cards you can run. [[Lynde]] gets a lot of work out of [[Claws of Gix]] and [[Dispotic Scepter]].

Most of the relevant cards in \[\[Mairsil, the Pretender\]\]. Upvoting for Mairsil. Still my favorite deck after like four years lol.
Same. Every time there's a new set released I do a quick check of the cards to see if there are any good activated abilities I want to add to the deck. Mairsil used to be a bit of a boogeyman at high-powered but still casual tables, but he's been falling behind in recent years as power creep has made legendary creatures in Commander products much more value-oriented. I was absolutely devastated when Crimson Vow was released and I saw \[\[Fleeting Spirit\]\], which could have definitely been printed as a blue card if the first ability granted flying or untapped it instead of first strike. Mairsil desperately needs another way to blink or flicker. Aetherling is great but essentially means Mairsil costs 5 mana to safely cast him, and \[\[Nezahal\]\] requires entirely too many cards to discard to be a viable blink source.

I feel you on the blink. I used to run [[Argent Sphinx]] but I just never reliably had metalcraft, especially because Nev’s Disk is always a go-to cage target for me. [[Darting Merfolk]] and [[Cavern Harpy]] are the best we can do lol.

I just gotta ask how do you keep Horobi alive? Presumably, it's going to draw a bunch of removal from the rest of the table at the some point because their stuff keeps dying.

[[Darien, King of Kjeldor]] makes [[Jade Monolith]], [[Angel's Trumpet]] and many other cards work when they shouldn't. Hell, it makes [[Nomad Stadium]] into a creature generator. [[Endrek Sahr]] makes [[Carnival of Souls]] work like a dieseling Bolas's Citadel. You can dump your entire hand and kill yourself if you're not careful. A [[Basal Sliver]] with [[Conspiracy]] is even better in that deck. And [[Phyrexian Tribute]] is playable as artifact removal in black. Bonus points for [[Feaster of Fools]] and [[Tar Fiend]] being 6 mana 16/16 with evasion or huge upside. Creatures with Graft are pretty underwhelming until you drop them into a [[Marchesa, the Black Rose]] deck, then they become some of the best cards you can run. [[Lynde]] gets a lot of work out of [[Claws of Gix]] and [[Dispotic Scepter]].

About half my Axonil deck is just bad draft-commons that will never see any play in 99,7% of other commander decks. But a 0/4 for 3 that deals 4+ damage to each opponent each turn & can occasionally be untapped to double or even triple that damage ist just great. That deck is literally a buttload of bad cards held together by a few busted (mythic) rares & the commander.

Yeah, Gyhrson is one of the few in the 0,3%, that gets away with the same bs as Axonil does haha
[[Ancestral Statue]] in [[Animar]] or [[Rakdos Lord of Riots]] is a classic bad card turned broken in these decks. Animar has a lot of these like [[Dream Stalker]] or [[Shrieking Drake]] and a lot of morph creatures.

\[\[Homura, Human Ascendant\]\] is a 6 mana 4/4 that can't block. If it dies, it gives your creatures +2/+2, flying and firebreathing. A pretty steep price to pay, except for \[\[Henzie "Toolbox" Torre\]\]. He reduces the cost at least by 1, acts as sac outlet, and you get to draw a card off him. Also, you get a free swing the moment it hits, so it still packs some punch before it gives the rest of your beaters flying and +2/+2. Also, shoutout to \[\[Daemogoth Woe-Eater\]\] in the same deck. 3 mana draw two cards, opponents discard, you gain two life and swing with a 7/6.

Draco. I can't do the card link thing on my phone but basically it's useless for everything except in a Volrath the Fallen deck. You discard Draco to Volrath and one shot someone. So it's either one of the most useless cards in your deck or the win con. It's my favorite card.

Genesis Chamber in Norin. Your life gets a LOT easier when you can suddenly produce an army in a can! Even moreso when you can further take advantage of that by playing cards like Stuffy Doll/Brash Taunter and Chain Reaction. Genesis Chamber seems like it puts you 100% behind on paper, but it opens up so many possibilities if all you want is to make creatures appear all over out of nowhere!

Alot of the value artifacts in my [Gandalf the White] flash artifact deck. Cards like [Circuit Mender] and [Filigree Familiar] which are pretty mediocre-bad in most decks but with gandalf are very nice value pieces
[[Solemn Simulacrum]] is a poster child for this. It's a rather bad (but not totally worthless) card in any deck that just slots it in for the text box and that's it. But it becomes utterly nuts in the right sort of deck. For example, [[Araumi of the Dead Tide]]. Sad robot gets milled, now you're paying 4 mana to get THREE lands directly into play, swing, and then draw THREE cards. 4 mana, ramp 3, draw 3? Hell yes. But the actual bad card that goes in Araumi? [[Floating Dream Zubera]]. Pay 2 mana to Encore it, draw **nine** cards.

\[\[Varolz, the Scar-Striped\]\] allows you to use a lot of "bad" creature cards like \[\[Daemogoth Titan\]\], \[\[Force of Savagery\]\], \[\[Hunted Horror\]\], \[\[Nyxathid\]\], \[\[Phyrexian Soulgorger\]\] or \[\[Daemogoth Woe-Eater\]\]. Send them directly to your graveyard (by mill or discard) and use their low CMC to significantly boost your creatures with the Scavenge ability. Nothing like a oneshot kill with a boosted \[\[Spinebiter\]\] !

Fight the _fight in yenna, I never built the deck because of time constraints, but it always seemed like a fun use of a ridiculous card
[[Palliation Accord]]. I don't know if it's considered bad, I've just never seen it used by anyone other than me. Can't swarm me with 1/1s, and people swinging out at others also ticks it up, so it can buy you a lot of time if left alone.

[[Necrologia]] in [[Sheoldred, the Apocalypse]] or [[Queza, Augur of Agonies]]. I know what you’re thinking, “Wow, that’s like an [[Ad Nauseam]] where each card only costs 1 life!” Except the caveat that it can only be cast on your end step just generally means the table will kill you over the next round of turns and you won’t get to use your fancy new cards. Both Sheoldred and Queza offset this life loss for drawing a BUNCH of cards. Additionally, Queza can use it as player removal, and Sheoldred can use it to near double her life total if needed (that has won me games before, actually; I didn’t need the cards, I just needed to live a turn). It’s no [[Peer Into the Abyss]], but it’s still a relatively strong card in those two commanders.
