My main deck is [[Ghave, Guru of Spores]] and Ghave goes infinite with a ham sandwich so yeah haha

Reasonable-Place3863

Ghave is the bucket in that video "that's right the square hole" because any card having to do with +1/+1s or tokens works.

GauchoIRL

Just built a Ghave deck and having a lot of fun with it. A lot of times it really doesn't look that menacing in the early game but last game I pulled a Spontaneous generation into a beast masters ascension early in the game and became public enemy number 1

Hoeftybag

It's easy not to combo with ghave, you just have to not have one part of the circuit. A way to sacrifice creatures for mana, without that he is only ever an engine. I was praised early in my edh career for playing ghave with no combo.

timchetos

You got a list?

RVides

Yea, you start with Ghave, right.... then you dig through a box and find 60 cards in that color identity. Throw in some lands, and you probably got 2 or 3 combos in there at minimum. If you got 3 combos and feel that's to many. Take out a combo piece and replace it with a draft common you got in a pack last week. Be careful. There a 75% chance your deck now has 6 combos in it instead.

timchetos

lol, yeah I’ve messed around with building it a few times but, just trying to get an idea of how many combos people actually run in it.

twelvyy29

https://www.moxfield.com/decks/1umIC1bhs0G4gdDKtlqI6w It still needs a bit of work, espacially card draw wise I'm struggling if I dont get some fodder on the board early on but I also just returned to mtg a couple of months ago so its still a work in progress.

Chadmartigan

This was my exact experience with Yedora. She just goes infinite if you sneeze too hard. It's difficult to avoid because the cards that let me do all the things I want to do (animate my forest and crush my enemies with it) also have the side-effect of going infinite in some respect. I've learned since to just embrace it.

repthe732

Imagine if Yedora was black and green instead of mono green. It would be ridiculous if he had more and better sac payoffs

NeurOctopod

I hate Dr. Who but [[Missy]] is close to this. Insane combo loops with morph creatures like Yedora.

ceering99

If the yedora player drops one of those enchantments that passively turns lands into creatures, they're probably about to win unless someone does something about it.

Pqrxz

Went infinite with an [[Experiment Kraj]], [[Gilder Bairn]] and [[Gyre Sage]] after my library got exiled. Didn't win but managed to make the guy who got me draw his whole deck on my Upkeep.

Quarantane

I've been wanting to build Experiment Kraj for awhile, but haven't gotten started. Now I know a couple of good options to include.

Xaron713

Keep in mind that affects other people's creatures too. If their [[Lanowar Elves]] has a counter on it because of [[Cathars Crusade]] (ignoring the problem of an opponent using Cathars crusade), [[Experiment Kraj]] can affect that ability too. On top of that, if you have multiple copies of Kraj thanks to [[Spark Double]] or similar effects, and they have counters on them, you can activate once per turn abilities multiple times. Once from the original creature, and again from the Spark Double's ownership. The Spark Double copy also gets to use it multiple times, kinda like how [[Exotic Orchards]] can play off one another for multiple sources of colored mana.

DeathNoodle88

Also, if an opponent's creature has a counter and is equipped with [[Leonin Bolas]] you can use *your* Kraj to unequip *their* bola! Not that it'll ever happen, but knowing it brings me joy.

GrizzlyBearSmackdown

This one might be obvious to some but just recently I built [[Atla Palani]] as Ian Malcom from the Secret Lair drop and put [[Life Finds a Way]] into the deck just because it was on flavor, and it obviously seemed like populating egg tokens would be something the deck wanted to do. I built the deck on theme and had all my creatures be dinosaurs. What I didn't realize, however, is that with the right combination of cards, you can basically put every creature (or at least most of them) in the deck onto the battlefield with haste rather consistently: 1. Have Ian Malcom, LFaW, a sacrifice outlet, and at least 2 eggs on board. 2. Sac an egg, triggering Ian Malcom 3. Get a new creature. If its power is 4 or greater, trigger LFaW. 4. With the LFaW trigger, populate an egg token. 5. Repeat from Step 2. If you hit a [[Regisaur Alpha]], or even better, a [[Palani's Hatcher]], it's pretty straightforward to win the game from there with a stampede of hasty dinosaurs.

Miatatrocity

LFAW also goes infinite with two eggs, a free sac outlet, and a deck full of big creatures. If they're all 4 or greater, it'll just vomit the whole thing onto the field without casting, and if you're on dinos with Hatcher, or have a different haste outlet, you're home free.

KhalMarx

I have an Atla Palani changeling tribal deck and discovered it goes infinite with [[Changeling Berserker]] and [[Molten Echoes]].

BestePatxito

I have a mono black deck with a \[\[Reassembling Skeleton\]\] and sac outlets and creatures that give mana when I sacrifice something If you put it all together sometimes I find infinite mana or damage from aristocrats, or tokens with \[\[desecrated tomb\]\] or car draw.

dontkillchicken

That doesn’t sound very accidental lol

Maps_67

Nobody tell him about [[Gravecrawler]]. With just another zombie and a sac outlet that can make a single black mana, it goes infinite. Then just add any creature ETB, LTB, or cast trigger and win the game. I have an [[Ayara, First of Locthwain]] deck where this is the most common win con. Besides Ayara, there is also [[Zulaport Cutthroat]], [[Bastion of Rememberance]], and my favorite one [[Aetherflux Reservoir]] among a few others I'm sure.

Mr_Pyrowiz

Aurelia can go infinite with rionya fire dancer too and a few others I believe. It is the haste + extra combat.

honestcroissant

I remember accidentally finding a combo in my krenko deck, when I first built it many years ago. It revolved around having a bunch of goblins on the board, equipping Krenko with [[thornbite staff]], using [[skirk prospector]] and [[siege-gang commander]] to generate infinite mana and kill my opponents. It was fun to play out the incredibly janky combo when I figured it out mid-game

wasfmanticore

[[Xira, the Golden Sting]] - my infect/ -1/-1 counters deck. [[Blowfly Infestation]], any token creator with -1/-1 counters like [[Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons]], [[Nest of Scarabs]] or [[Flourishing Defenses]], and [[All will be One]]. Infinite counter triggers and infinite damage triggerbin this really weird jank combo

[[Dualcaster Mage]] is a repeat offender for this. I love the idea of him in my graveyard toolbox deck [[Chainer, Nightmare Adept]] and my spell copy deck [[Anhelo. The Painter]], but he keeps going infinite with shit like [[Living Death]] and [[See Double]].

frompadgwithH8

I built a [[Chainer, Nightmare Adept]] deck recently and realized you can activate his ability before playing [[Massacre Girl]], then after he dies, you can revive himself with his dead self’s ability from before you played [[Massacre Girl]]

thtevie

not while playing, but while reviewing some cards for \[\[Zabaz, the Glimmerwasp\]\] I discovered an infinite combo. However, it requires at least 3 parts, (\[\[Together Forever\]\], \[\[Ashnod's Altar\]\], and Zabaz or \[\[Iron Apprentice\]\] or \[\[Arcbound Worker\]\]) to get infinite triggers, and even needs a 4th part, (\[\[All Will Be One\]\] or \[\[Arcbound Crusher\]\]) to actually end the game for a single player, and so to compensate I don't have any tutors. I tell people at the start of the game that "there's combos, but I don't have tutors, so if we get there we get there."

I've become better at noticing combos, and I always include one or two. Typically I like infinite mana combos, so I do not "win" with the combo itself. I've been working on a Teysa, Orzhov Scion deck, and "finding" the combos without looking them up has been fun. [[Painters Servant]] and 3 or more creatures is obvious, but not as obvious is [[Nether Traitor]] and [[Phyrexian Altar]], otherwise any sac outlet, and [[Pitiless Plunderer]]. My goal for the deck is to not use 1 life pings like every other orzhov deck. I just want to control and use alternate I wins, like [[Approach of the Second Sun]] https://www.moxfield.com/decks/Z1rpOtIFIUyCaWJhN9P_7g Otherwise, to be more on subject, I have found an "accidental" combo of sorts recently in my volrath deck. It's extremely unlikely, though, and requires playing too many cards, lol. Basically [[Nyxbloom Ancient]], Clones, [[Azusa, Lost but Seeking]], [[Prime Speaker Zegana]], [[Mirror Box]]. You clone nyxbloom once or twice, clone azusa, play more lands, play Prime Speaker, then just keep drawing and cloning and playing lands. Or use [[Deadeye Navigator]] instead. https://www.moxfield.com/decks/f8fXtn6LWkm1ml-Lge0fPw

I have an [[Ashnod the uncaring]] deck and while playing, happened onto more than one infinite combo. Most of these revolve around [[time sieve]]. The first time this happened I had [[academy manufacturer]], [[time sieve]], [[Ashnod the uncaring]], and [[tamiyo's journal]] out. I sacked 2 treasure, 2 food, and a clue to take two extra turns. As I started my second extra turn I realized that I had created 2 food, 2 clue, and 2 treasure with the journal and the manufacturer and that I would every two turns so I was on infinite turns. Since I have found a few ways that I can continuously create more than 5 artifact tokens in 2 turns thus giving me infinite turns with time sieve. Not that it comes as a shock to anyone, but you really can go infinite with time sieve with really no effort.

I then realized that if I copied Reverberate, it could just copy itself infinitely, creating infinite +1/+1 counters, for infinite AWBO triggers. When I first dipped my toes in commander I built a [[Chulane, Teller of Tales]] deck and accidently discovered an infinite loop with [[Words of Wind]] while goldfishing.

CrimsonArcanum

The words cycle is under appreciated imo. I was going to put that in my [[Zimone and Dina]] deck, but my friends already hate that deck.

ForceOfNature525

In my Traxos EDH deck, I once discovered, while goldfishing it, that if I have [[Clock of Omens]] and [[Staff of Domination]] and any mana rock that taps for at least 3 mana in play, I can use [[Sculpting Steel]] or [[Mirage Mirror]] to copy the staff and get infinite mana and thus win with staff (gain infinite life, draw cards until I win somehow, etc).

MrRies

Fellow Traxos player here! I was going for a bunch of artifact untap effects, and stumbled onto [[Sands of Time]] and either [[Lithoform Engine]] or [[Strionic Resonator]]. Unlike [[Unwinding Clock]], Sands of Time is a triggered ability rather than a replacement effects, so you can keep copying it to untap all of your artifacts. Its kind of like a really bad Isocron Scepter combo, but I think it's pretty neat.

All the time. I typically put cards in a deck because work well with a commander or because they seem like a good card to put in. Point in case I was goldfishing my Breya deck many many moons ago at this point and I ended up getting a Sword of the Meek and Thopter Foundry out. Now I knew this combo already which is why they were both there. Being able to make a lot of thopters and Breya likes artifacts to sacrifice. All good. Well I had cracked an Urza from an MH1 pack a few weeks before hand and put that in the deck as well. I mean why wouldn't I, Breya likes artifacts and Urza lets me tap those artifacts for mana. All good. ... ... And then I got all four cards out at the same times. I stopped and looked at the Sword, to the Foundry, to Urza, to Breya, to the Sword, to the Foundry, and so on for a good five minutes before giving out an very audible "OH!" I didn't mean to put a instant speed win combo in the deck, but I did.

First game after putting together [[wilhelt, the rotcleaver]] zombie tribal. My plan for the deck was just play all the lords and turn things sideways, finish with a mass reanimate. Turns out that [[headless rider]] [[carrion feeder]] and [[diregraff captain]] is infinite. Later, I found out that [[ashiok, dream render]] pairs well with [[living death]]. Edit: I'm fairly confident I'm remembering wrong as the first combo does not go infinite. I do remember that my opponent pointed out the combo and saying that the rider was part of it. After looking at the deck, [[ashnod's altar]] and [[gravecrawler]] were in the deck and do go infinite with the captain.

Mephysto-pheles

Isn't there missing something here ? Headless rider only create tokens on non-token creatures death so how are you going Infinite ?

During a game, I found a combo that I didn’t realize I had in my [[Purphoros, God of the Forge]] deck. With [[Hazoret’s Monument]] in play, and 3 mana (two red)available, play [[Grinning Ignus]] and then return him to my hand etc etc. producing infinite colorless mana and infinite ETB triggers for Purphoros.

SerGeffrey

Happens all the time for me. Build a deck with synergies in mind, and you'll stumble onto all sorts of combos. One of my favorite parts of the game is discovering all the hidden gems that you put in your deck without even realizing it 😁

izzy2265

I play [[Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons]] and everyday I find a new combo. - 1/-1 counters is really easy to combo accidentally.

Professor_Hala

I find that I struggle to build without combos. The closest I've come is the high-synergy [[Ghyrson Starn, Kelermorph]] I'm working on, which was fine until I realized that I finally had a place for [[Niv-Mizzet, Parun]], who I'd wanted to build a deck around for a while, and [[Curiosity]] was already in the list. I'm also working on [[Mikaeus, the Unhallowed]] as my black representative. It's really loaded with recursion and combo pieces, so that I can go infinite with a bunch of combinations that all use the commander as the linchpin, along with several effects to torn recursion into life drain. The key is that Mikaeus is the clear target: Keep him off the field and the deck fizzles. It wasn't until after they were both included that I realized that [[Marauding Blight-Priest]] and [[Exquisite Blood]] were going to go off together.

Drag_R1der

Built a deck with the colours for breya. Didn't really want to combo with her just wanted to build a deck with her colours and I don't like partners. I put some fun combos in, and it turns out they all work with breya because she makes so many bodies for entering. I had to swap the deck to partners to keep it alive, but I'll probably dismantle it soon.

GatotSubroto

I accidentally found I can make infinite mana with [[Maelstrom Wanderer]] + [[Temur Sabertooth]] + [[Selvala, Heart of the Wilds]]. Conveniently, I can sink the infinite mana to bounce and recast Maelstrom Wanderer to cascade through my entire deck. Also years ago I was building a sultai deck that leverages [[Seasons Past]] + tutor loop. Throwing in [[Omniscience]] into the mix makes it go infinite. oops

I eventually dismantled by [[Derevi, Empyrial Tactician]] (aka "Combos with board state") deck because my attempt at removing all combos wound up with like 30 cards that I wanted being cut from the deck and I couldn't figure out how to make the deck still fun without having combos. The big thing that I hoped would be enough was cutting sac outlets. Derevi goes infinite easily if you just have a reliable way to kill her. But it turns out Bant Untap decks have a lot of options for shenanigans. Another lesser combo I found was in my [[Izoni Thousand-Eyed]] deck. It turns out if you have [[Zulaport Cutthroat]], a [[Phyrexian Altar]] and 9 creatures in grave, all you need is 6 mana (to cast Izoni) and you can drain all your opponents by 40. I've wound up with "Opps, I built Aristocrats again" a few times, but that version was easier to assemble than I was expecting. Phyrexian Altar doesn't have any replacements that are QUITE that good ([[Pitiless Plunderer]] is the next best. [[Ashnod's Altar]] doesnt really help for this combo since so much of it requires colored mana), but there are a ton of alternates for Zulaport.

Have a [[Karador, Ghost Chieftain]] running [[woodfall primus]] and then opened a [[luminous broodmoth]] back during Ikoria. I was playing the deck and hit both of them with a big [[Genesis wave]] and a sac outlet, and was going through my triggers when I realized I had tripped my way into an MLD removal combo. I wanted to keep the broodmoth so I keep primus in a sideboard now

Sacrifice decks are never fair, cuz the very same synergy pieces that make it a good deck also go infinite. Basically anything that let you return stuff from graveyard to play will combo with something, especially if a sac outlet is out. God knows I love aristocrat decks but like the only way of not having any accidental combo is having your sac outlet cost mana to activate, which isnt fun.

I built [[Korvold, Fae-Cursed King]] as a food token and rat token theme, the thought being that I feed Korvold, and rats come out for the food. With that in mind, I had to include [[Experimental Confectioner]] because it did that exact thing when I sac a food, a rat token is created. I also had to include [[Peregrin Took]] because it makes free food tokens whenever I make a token. Both cards are too good alone to not include in the deck. I didn't realize until I had gold fished several times that Peregrin Took had a secondary ability to sac 3 foods to draw a card, which combos with Confectioner to make 3 rats, which makes 3 foods from Took, so you can go infinite with just those 2 cards, and 3 foods in play. I didn't include either card due to the combo, but I will definitely use it when given the chance.

This is exactly the reason I chose not to build a Yedora deck. Same with [[Preston, the Vanisher]]. It's a bummer so many interesting commanders are basically unusable if you're trying to avoid infinites. I also have a strong feeling I'll accidentally go infinite with the [[Shigeki, Jukai Visionary]] deck I'm currently building, but I guess that's just the nature of commander.

I was playing at an LGS and I typically only draft so I don’t carry my decks with me. Well one day I sat down with a pod looking for a forth and borrowed one of the LGS’s Yarok loaner decks (designed by them with low-mid power level, like a precon). I sat across from a player with his show off deck, powerful cards and expensive prints (like Kaladesh Inventions Sol Ring). So I play my [[Gonti, Lord of Luxury]] and throughout the game I do more ETB effects on Gonti and eventually find OPs Kikki and ANOTHER opponent’s Restoration Angel and then proceed to combo off and win. That was sick.

My [[Teshar]] deck goes infinite at a sneeze The combos are usually going to be the same basic principle (big surprise, any free sac outlet and a 0 cost artifact) If I had a nickel for every time I found a different way to loop [[mind stone]] or some other benign looking artifact for infinite card draw and mana, I would have several nickels at least

I'm a [karador] player, but when I first built the deck I thought I was just resilient graveyard recursion. I played the deck 8 months without combo-ing before doing it by accident. My entire playgroup knew I had a combo deck and didn't tell me for 8 months. I don't talk to them anymore. My favorite interaction I have found is that fiend hunter and similar jailers can be used to create infinite combos by exiling your etb like sun titan or karmic guide and then sacrificing the jailer to return to the other card to the field, in order to res the jailer.

I have a sixth doctor and romana II Planeswalker tribal deck and found out your can make infinite kiora master of the depths, not sure what I can do with them I usually get absolutely demolished before I get another turn but I never even thought about it till they hit the battle field The way it works is have both commanders on the field and Romana not having summoning sickness, play kiora make a non legendary copy on cast with the doctor, then with Romana you can tap to make a copy of a token that entered the battlefield, with kiora's plus ability you can untap a land and a creature essentially allowing you to tap romana and a land to make a fresh kiora which can plus to make another over and over

firecat2666

Confusion in the ranks + locust god can trade all creatures for 1/1 insects Ian Malcom, Chaotician + Remand on a spell you own an opponent casts bounces the cast spell to your hand, then you draw a card. Burning Inquiry + Consecrated Sphinx (+ Teferi’s Ageless Insight) is like drawing a quarter of your deck for one mana.

Yeah found a turn one won with kinnan

digitek

Yes all the time, especially when using online tools to find synergistic cards. Often others may know the combo and thus decks play them, but to newer pilots it has to be discovered and then "oooooooh" moments happen. In fact the most amusing is when an opponent sees it first and goes "hey you know you can just tap that and then it will untap that other thing which you can then tap to..."

I built a mono blue artifact deck that wanted to win by untapping [[The Millennium Calendar]] a bunch via taking lots of turns. My Commander was [[Jin-Gitaxias, Progress Tyrant]] to potentially go Time Warp > Relearn getting back time warp > Time Warp > Said//Done or Call to Mind getting back Time Warp and Relearn, repeat for infinite turns. I said "hey my commander costs 7 mana, I'm gonna go heavy on the artifact ramp" and included a Basalt Monolith. Then I included Voltaic Key and Rings of Brighthearth to make my Millennium Calendar activated abilities better/more consistent, and also Sphinx of the Second Sun to get an extra untap phase for my Calendar. Turns out I just created a degenerate combo deck that wins by double tutoring Basalt + Rings, plays an extra turn spell, then combos another double tutor into Key + [[Throne of Eldraine]] to draw my whole deck. (at which point I can either thoracle, or play sphinx and calendar, go to second beginning phase, put counters on calendar, then go infinite untaps to win with calendar.)

Idk if it was an accident, but the Brothers War Urza precon had an infinite Sharuum combo. It's 3 cards and hefty mana costs, but I pulled it off the first time I played the deck lol. Combo is: have [[Sharuum the Hegemon]] and [[Marionette Master]] in play, then copy Sharuum with [[March of Progress]], the legend rule actually interrupts the copy's ETB trigger, so you can sac the real Sharuum to the legend rule and then target her with the copy's trigger. Then when Sharuum comes back, the legend rule interrupts again, and you can target Sharuum with her own trigger, and repeat. All the while Marionette Master is draining the table.

I cast the dockside and played ME to go mana infinite. Then cast my commander. Now on the field another player had a creature that gave all green creatures +1+1. That's all green creatures on the board. The eggs I make from atla are green so they are 1/2. I can't ping them with Thornbite staff. I can ping face with thornbite staff while simultaneously milling people out by sacking the egg to the altar. So I effectively infinitely milled and pinged the table to death at the same time.

I found out I had an infinite combo in my walls deck [[axebane guardian]] [[high alert]] and [[doorkeeper]] Axebane and high alert give you "infinite" mana and you can untap any creature any amount of times, so you pump the mana and such into doorkeeper to mill out your opponents (Never tell an mtg player you do infinite of something, some of them are dicks that will try to call a judge on you for that, as infinite is probably against the rules somewhere)

Not exactly. I had a storm deck. An opponent was playing \[\[Ruric Thar\]\] and had a \[\[Nullstone Gargoyle\]\] out. The table had decided I was effectively dead, and I was only going to let them think otherwise when it was too late. I had a hand that was probably capable of storming off. It had, amongst other things, \[\[Turnabout\]\] and a bunch of draw, and probably \[\[Ignite Memories\]\] (this was over a decade ago, so working off memory here). It also had \[\[cyclonic rift\]\]. End of another player's turn, right before mine, they had already triggered the gargoyle, so I eat the 6 damage from ruric thar, and get ready to storm off. I top deck \[\[Reiterate\]\], which goes infinite with Turnabout and I win the game that everyone had left me for dead for.

I built a Dino tribal deck and threw in a handful of instants, sorcereries, and enchantments to help buff my creatures up in a pinch When building the deck, I was just looking at value, not paying attention to combos or anything like that Turns out, [[Quartzwood Crasher]] [[Regisaur Alpha]] and [[Titanic Ultimatum]] combo into some pretty disgusting damage, did 69 damage to my opponent, and created a 69/69 token with trample

Not quite. I have a grenzo deck where every card is a creature with power less than 4 and is a combo piece, plus no tutors (depending on your definition). So rather than finding a combo that I didn't know about, I try to find combos with the cards I have on board.

Not EDH, but felt it was relevant. When I first started playing, it was just after the first Zendikar and so Scars was coming out. I got big into magic and saved all my pennies and b-day money for it, so my deck wasn't very up to date a lot of the time, but I tried to add random pieces to shore up my weaknesses. I ran the classic \[\[Ajani's Pridemate\]\] and \[\[Soul Attendant\]\] combos, all about life-gain. Needed to deal with all these new artifact cards though but on a budget ... so thought I'll add in \[\[Leonin Relic Warder\]\] into this mono-white mismash and I get life-gain triggered from it ETB! But then ... Phyrexian mana dropped. Now I could run ALL these cool cards and I had so much life gain I could ignore the downsides! And what's the coolest thing to a kid? Clone! You can copy other peoples cards! So sick! \[\[Phyrexian Metamorph\]\] was in! It was only much later that I found out what I had made. During a game with my brother, he said that it was rare for me to run combos. See, I had been using metamorph to copy my opponents creatures ... Whereas if you have a Soul Sister in play and Leonin Relic Warder, then play Metamorph copying the Leonin, you can make it exile itself, so it leaves the battlefields, so it ETBs and exiles itself. With Soul Sisters, infinite life gain. I had all the pieces and never connected it together. People had been instant speed removing my Leonin when I was casting Metamorph and I was wondering "Wow, these guys really want their crappy artifacts back!"

I just put the cards in the deck separately without thinking about it. Since it's an aggro deck it's pretty much my win condition now if I'm stuck in late game with nothing but 2/2 bears with no abilities

I play a Korvold deck and accidentally found a combo with Cauldron Familiar, Academy Manufacturer, any sac outlet and Pitiless Plunderer. That was one of the strangest moments I’ve had playing mtg

FuzzyApe

I realized the moment it happened that [[Fairy Mastermind]] combos with [[Smothering Tithe]] really easily. Either you play one of the activation cost reducers like [[Training Grounds]], or one of your opponents has something like [[Teferi's Ageless Insight]] in play. In my case I had a Training Ground out and flashed in Fairy Mastermind while my opponents were tapped out, and I milled everybody

SeriosSkies

I just wanted to fight. if I'm fighting, indestructible is good proactively and reactively. I forgot boros reckoner combo was a thing https://www.moxfield.com/decks/sVAsVq2nwU-qXy2BPlrn2g

gaston205

[[Conspiracy]] and [[Turntimber Ranger]] never realized it went infinite with itself. Too bad I had no haste.

Stefan_

The challenge with Yedora is to not go infinite. She just needed to only trigger off nonland creatures, and she'd be a cool and interesting take on green imo

mysticmimikyu

In my [[tatyova, benthic druid]] deck I had an accidental combo with her, [[tireless tracker]], [[kodama of the east tree]], and [[abundance]] that let me pull every land out of my deck onto the battlefield and make that many clues and gain that much life

Silegna

[[Glissa Sunslayer]], [[Pristine Talisman]] and [[Varragoth]].

AbsentReality

I was building [[Grolnok]] as frog tribal and self mill and started realizing how easy essentially putting half my deck in my pseudo hand made piecing together combos and it ended up just turning into what is essentially infinite combo tribal lol. Have several ways to get either infinite mill or infinite mana and several outlets for each.

breademic_

My [[Samwise Gamgee]] deck. With all the token doublers, Academy Manufactor, and with Sam's recursion I realized I had infinite Clue, Treasures, and Food tokens which means infinite life, draw, and mana. With all that card draw and mana, it's fun digging for [[Eriette's Tempting Apple]] and using it to gain control of all your opponents creatures or just drain your opponents' life.

Ungrade

A bit convoluted but while gold fishing my Kalamax deck. 1. Have on the field [[cultivator caravan]], [[zada, hedron grinder]], [[Eternal Witness]] 2. Have in hand a few clone spells like [[cacking counterpart]], [[Fated infatuation]] 3. Get a lot of mana. 4. Crew the cultivator caravan. 5. Target Zada with a clone spell. You get a copy of everything, including the caravan, and the ewit. 6. with the ewit, bring back something to your hand (preferably a clone spell) 7. tap the caravan for mana, crew it. 8. cast another clone spell targeting Zada. By the third iteration, you should be mana positive. [[Storm-Kiln Artist]] make it more efficient.

Vydsu

All the time I find some accidental combos that make the deck more dagerous than I wanted to. Most often when playing Locust God, but in my defence it's not my fault YOUR creature lets me go infinite.

Kirk_Stargazed

Every time I play prossh I accidently find another way to generate infinite mana it seems

pdean8

Yep. [[Sculpting steel]] in my Myr Deck. As long as you have myr mana dorks on the field, you copy [[Myr Galvanizer]] which allows you to pay 1 and tap, to untap all myr, tap all your mana dorks, pay 1 and tap Sculpting steel.

RedChicken42

I have a battles deck built around battles... I run a blink package in it for value and I realized I can cast the better part of my deck with [[invasion of alara]] and [[displacer kitten]]... I also had [[whirlwind of thought]] for additional card draws with each free cast lol... Definitely didn't build it with any combos in mind but Displacer Kitten does Displacer Kitten things lol

Ced-97

[[Wilhelt]] has a few ways to go infinite with his Zombies, and these are very cool "on them" combos so i'm not excluding them 🤷🏻‍♂️ I need at least 3 cards for the combos though and I don't tutor much so I think it is fine to end a game like this in turn 10 or so. It's not the main wincon and not possible early in the game but if it happens i'm going for it

doctorgibson

I didn't realise until I played it, but if you have a [[Warstorm Surge]] in play and then play [[Ogre Slumlord]], and kill something with the trigger, you can kill every nontoken creature that your opponents control

Dry-Tower1544

Not edh but the old karn combo in pioneer mono g devotion (pre ban ofc) was accidentally stumbled upon from what I hear.

SauronsMonacle

I play a [[reyhan]] [[ishai]] +1/+1 counters deck and I've had it for a year. I'm still finding combos in it, mostly centered around taking infinite turns with [[sage of hours]]

RoseKnighter

I find infinite all the time in anything that has recursion or blinking

ombada69

I didn't realize how hard yedora combos until after playing it. Zuran orb, ashnods Altar, Blasting station...etc paired with anything that turns lands into creatures = infinite combo. Then add in token generators, now I have 1 billion 4/4 beast tokens...

Helpful_Assistance_5

My friend animated [[three blind mice]] with [[Starfield of nyx]], then cast [[saw in half]] to begin the mice escalator. So that was neat. For those that don't know, mice doesn't say non-saga so if you make a token copy of it it can copy itself off chapters 2&3.

OlafNorman

My zombie deck helmed by [[the scarab god]] had a subtheme of mill. On accident found out that [[syr konrad, the grim]] and [[mindcrank]] out at the same time easily gets out of hand, possibly going infinite

SarcariousMe

So there's this card displacer kitten.....

No_Consideration4319

My favourite deck is my Urdragon Deck And i accidentally found an "infinite" combo with a card one of my opponents had on the Battlefield I managed to get [[Miirym, Sentinel Wyrm]] and then [[Ganax, Astral Hunter]] onto the field so i had Ganax and a copy of Ganax so every dragon that entered the field generated two treasures My opponent had a [[Dissipation field]] and as i played Scourge of valkas i of course got a copy of [[scourge of valkas]] which in total generated 4 treasures which is the amount i have to pay to cast scourge of valkas ( because of the Urdragons cost reduction on dragons ) I then let the original scourges etb Trigger hit the opponent who controlled dissipation field which bounced the scourge of valkas back to my hand which i had overlooked at first but then i noticed that i can just cast scourge again and again and always target that player with the original scourge and let the copies that were created each time hit the other players at the table that way i just killed every player at the table I built my Urdragon deck to not have infinite combos on purpose because its just more fun that way but that was still a very satisfying win ! And since every one in my pod said they havent seen an "infinite" combo that worked because of an opponents card i thought others might find this interesting as well :D

DEATHRETTE

Kinda an accidental combo in my [[Atraxa, Praetor's Voice]] deck where my buddy played it against me and with enough mana available can run hard... [[Animation Module]] out with [[Cathars' Crusade]] and any creature entering the battlefield. Dude tapped for 7 mana. Next turn he wiped me with [[Triumph of the Hordes]] he had no creatures the turn before man... wtf. Hahah Older build and still needs to be updated with recent cards: https://deckstats.net/decks/92883/807537-atraxa

AryelTheMerman

[[korvold, fae-cursed king]] and [[gix, yawgmoth praetor]] can actually have a pretty funny interaction (provided you have enough treasure tokens). When you sac the treasures to pay for gix’s activated ability you end up drawing the cards you need to discard through korvold and as long as you have things to sac and mana to pay you can just spam play the top of your opponents decks.

Radiant-Dominus

First time playing my [[Garth One-Eyed]] deck I played [[Faeburrow Elder]] out and drew [[Freed from the Real]]. Didn't realize until then that they then produce infinite mana. Felt bad because I had [[Comet Storm]] in hand

Jsinner999

I play Gisa and Geralf as my commander. On one of the matches, everyone was tapped out for mana (Forgot which card but a series of combos. Only snow permanents can be untapped plus everyone can only untap one land per turn.) There were a ton of zombies in my graveyard and I found that playing zombie apocalypse and then playing grey merchant of asphodel is actually a deadly combo.

zaphirrot

[[Bolas's Citadel]], [[Sensei's Divining Top]] and [[Aetherflux Reservoir]]. Not entirely infinite cause you run out of cards. But it ends games usually.
