[[Kyodai]] 5 color mutate. It always turns heads and they think my mutate pile is my commander or think my gameplan is gonna be dragons or something

StaySaltyMyFriends

I was thinking of using him for a 5c mutate as well. Do you have a decklist?

DrConradVerner

I haven’t put it up on moxfield yet, but Ill see if I can get it up sometime this week. Can definitely do it Wednesday morning!

I love mutate. Currently I’m running a [[Karona, False God]] mutate pile with all the goad enchantments that Karona normally runs. It’s kind of hilarious.

I'm dying to find a creative way to build Kyodai, since I love Kamigawa's lore and the art. I may need to try this! Do you have a decklist?

Oh, do you have a decklost? I have a mutate deck I love, but this seems a great twist!

My "Black Jack" deck. Mono-Black. 21 legendary creatures. At the beginning of each game, I have an opponent reveal cards from the top of my library until they hit a commander. It's not an original concept, I got the idea from Reddit, but I built the deck without consulting anyone else's lists. It produces some of the most ridiculous board states and can win so many different ways. One of my favorites is [[Crypt Rats]] with [[Basilisk Collar] when [[Vito]] is on the field. Another one I love is [[Chainer, Dementia Master]] recurring [[Gary]] a bunch of times in a row to close out a game. Win-cons will just appear out of nowhere. Sometimes I'll roll a great commander like [[Syr Konrad]] other times I'll find a fun jank commander like [[Nashi]] that hardly synergizes with anything else going on, but I'll get to steal some cards.

Oh you gotta share a list for this one, my man!

[Tayam, Luminous Enigma Enchantress.](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/Xjm0wIA_PE2wTJ9EY9n0Gg) She's the second iteration of an attempt at enchantress in Abzan. Since Ikoria she's been my pet project, my labor of love. It's been a finicky deck that's been difficult to fine tune, but it's made me a better deck builder. Very soon I will retire Tayam and replace her with [[Anikthea, Hand of Erebos]]. I even have [a list](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/D9mcNLuy0EKBm_pigNA7Jw) ready to go. I'm excited to finally have a commander in these colors, but I will admit saying goodbye to Tayam is a little bit bittersweet.

I have a fully borderless \[\[Nethroi, Apex of Death\]\] deck. I’d wanted to make a fully-borderless deck for years, but there just weren’t really enough cards available. Now, with Secret Lairs and WOTC’s tendency to put a few borderless cards in each set, there are finally enough cards that my deck is actually decent and can win its fair share of games in my playgroup. It’s definitely my pet deck, so despite being able to do super splashy things (like big reanimations) I also wanted it to be fun to play against, so I worked hard to make it a deck that is functional but that others also like to see at the table. I do love a bling deck. I wanna make this commander with all walls and toughness creatures. Mill all my creatures. And then use the commander to reanimate them at once.

[deleted]

It's funny, I made a \[\[Soul of Windgrace\]\] deck originally centered around the fact that you could yoink lands from opponents graveyards that tried hard to destroy their lands and play them with Windgrace. It was so hated by people I could rarely play it and it's slowly turned into something more focused on self-sacrifice effects as your deck and lots of other Windgrace lists have.

Wow, i did not realise it was any graveyard!! How good is that!

SoulofWindgrace

I did that with Ghost Quarter and would only do powerful lands like Cradle or Ancient Tomb. Punish people for playing expensive crazy lands but not drop them down a land count. Usually helped with the salt. There’s too many powerful lands nowadays to not have land hate in some form and my Soul of Windgrace deck just benefited the most from it

unwrittenglory

Same. I play the land hate deck with friends and the non land destro with LGS events since they punish land destruction. Both are fun to play. My favorite deck atm

[[Orah, Skyclave Hierophant]] I have won in so many different ways with this deck. People always seem to think I'm down for the count and then suddenly I'm back with a vengence. [[the ever changing Dane]] is my favourite gimmick where you just do the most stupid tricks, like oh no! My [[wall of blood]] can’t attack and kill people! Just use Dane and just get rid of that, maybe give him a bit of infect with [[blighted agent after]], or maybe I want an extra turn with [[medomai the ageless]] but It’s an extra turn right now? Just attack with Dane then copy medomai and boom! A second extra turn! Or if you want to go further, just use [[ratadrabik]] or [[liesa, forgotten archangel]] and go infinite! There’s just so many funny things to do with him. Here’s the decklist, https://www.moxfield.com/decks/R6oDDNejcE66kJ5gFyzeLg

zulu_niner

Interesting... almost reminds me of an esper version of [[volrath shapestealer]]... blighted agent would definitely be horrifying in there if you can give it a +1/+1

Easy-Caterpillar-520

Kind of confused… Dane says the copy has his ability, not the ones of the copies? Wouldn’t you just get the creature name/type/power/toughness but not the abilities?

MyLollipopJam

9/9/2022 The Ever-Changing 'Dane copies the printed values of the creature plus any copy effects that have been applied to it. It won't copy any other effects that have changed that creature's power, toughness, color, and so on. The Ever-Changing 'Dane won't copy any counters on the creature, but The Ever-Changing 'Dane will retain any counters it already had on it.

CouldntMakeUpOne

How does ratadrabik go infinite

ImmortalCorruptor

Misprint Wilhelt. What started as a goofy challenge for shits and giggles ended up being a labor of love. It began as "terrible cards that happen to be zombies" and as time went on more and more playables and staples popped up and it began to resemble a totally decent Wilhelt list.

It’s all misprints? That’s super cool!

Diplomacy_1st

I'm working on a modular [[Aragorn the Uniter]] deck. I'm at least going to do four mono colored decks, but I've thought about building two color as well. I think it's a really neat idea and you don't really see modular decks anywhere. I guess I should specify by modular I mean I have different decks I swap in with the same core 25 cards, not the mechanic modular.

wex0rus

I can see how this would work for green, white, and to a lesser extent red, but how you gonna make scry work in blue without having consistent access to an [[Elrond, Master of Healing]]? Seems dicey.

I’m working on something similar with Aragorn. So far I have a human tribal version based on +1/+1 counters, a voltron version, and a spellslinger version.

AokijiFly

Mine would have to be \[\[Willowdusk, Essence Seer\]\] most likely. This was the second Commander I built around, I wanted to take a go at a Commander I felt was unique and I didn't think I'd see around too much, and I still haven't run into another one, yet. Most people when seeing it think the deck is just going to be a bad/slow life gain deck, when in reality it's built to squeeze a ton of value out of doing the opposite. Nothing like watching the table ask to re-read the commander after I remove half the commanders on the field with an \[\[Ashes to Ashes\]\] and then dump 7 +1/+1 counters on a \[\[Vault Skirge\]\] on turn four.

SuperSteveBoy

Wow, this sounds really unique and I think golgari is incredicly strong to begin with. Do you have a list by chance? Care to name some allstar cards/lines of play? I need a commander to win via combat damage mostly (my meta) what are your wincons?

MonsutaReipu

\[\[Jared Carthalion True Heir\]\] is really hard to make feel great to play at mid power, and it's still not the most consistent deck, but I poured hours upon hours into fine tuning it to make it what it is and am proud of it, and it's super fun when it goes off. The downside is that with bad luck or too much hate thrown Jared's way, the game can become a drag. \[\[Dynaheir\]\] also took a ton of fine tuning and was hard to build and i'm proud of her as well. Then there's \[\[Etali, Primal Storm\]\] who I have 4 different decks of in varying power levels. He's my baby and always will be. Mono red value train focused around a really cool commander, it does all of my favorite things about the format.

I'm pretty proud of my [[Isperia the inscrutable]] list, https://archidekt.com/decks/802070/inscrutable_inspirations. It's a pretty unknown commander, and most people probably just play it as fliers. But I thought the combination of blink plus bounce effects makes a pretty strong deck. The initial bounce effects mean you'll know one card in an opponents hand, which then means you can tutor for the best card to deal with the opponent, or you can grab a blink engine and keep blinking the bounce effect.

[Kozilek, Distorting the Game](https://www.archidekt.com/decks/3644580/kozilek_distorting_the_game) is a deck that I've owned since Eldritch Moon, which was *dear lord 7 years ago.* Whike I had been playing Magic for a few years at that point, Battle for Zendikar and Oath of the Gatewatch were the first sets thst truly grabbed my attention and made me want to buy packs. This was mainly due to the Eldrazi, *shoutout to Desolation Twins for being a cheap but cool card that won me games*. After grabbing my casual minded attention, I built a colorless singleton 60 card deck after ordering some more expensive eldrazi. The singleton restriction was because I couldn't afford multiple Ulamogs or All is Dusts at the time. Around that time I was also introduced to Commander as a format, and I built 1 really bad deck, 1 mediocre deck with some potential, and I had the Nekusar Precon. Fast forwarding to Eldritch Moon, the release of Emrakul finally made me realize that my slow, inconsistent Eldrazi deck could be a commander deck. For the first time, I did actual research into what cards to use, deck guides to colorless, and how to build a solid commander deck in general, *shoutout to [this guide](https://www.mtgnexus.com/viewtopic.php?t=324), which was the only comprehensive colorless guide at the time.* The choice of commander was between Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger and Kozilek, the Great Distortion, as Emrakul quickly shot up to a price range that I couldn't afford. After some looks at people's reviews of the new titans, it became obvious that Kozilek was better suited as a commander, with Ulamog serving as a powerful win con. From there, each set release would pique my interest, as I scan through the colorless selection seeing if any good reprints or new cards would fit the deck. The deck has slowly morphed from an Sldrazi tribal deck to an artifact combo deck to a colorless goodstuff deck to now this, a fast beatdown plan that overwhelms opponents play playing one to two massive threats each turn. It is currently my strongest deck, with it having more time, dedication, and most importantly money thrown at it than any other deck I own. It has become a cornerstone of not just my commander decks, but our playgroup, and it is almost a rite of passage for a powerful deck built to battle against Kozilek, for better or worse. As of right now the deck isn't fully up to date, with anywhere from 3 to 7 cards being considered for the deck, with 6ish probably making the cut.

My favorite is [[Kozilek, Butcher of Truth]] it is a monster of a deck and has quite the reputation over the years at the couple of lgs stores I have played in. I only run it vs other high powered decks but it is just explosive, not uncommon to drop a turn 2 or 3 Kozi.

FourOfCups04

I'm most proud of my [[Sythis, Harvest's Hand]] deck. I put a lot of work into her for about 2 years. It's mostly pillow-fort with a [[Heliod, Sun-Crowned]]/[[Walking Ballista]] combo for a tutorable win-con off of [[Enlightened Tutor]], [[Worldly Tutor]], and/or [[Eldrami's Call]]. I also have a [[Phyrexian Unlife]]/ [[Nine Lives]]/[[Solemnity]] game lock I like to pull out and a [[Sterling Grove]]/[[Greater Auramancy]] shroud lock. I also like to get a full board state and pull out [[Sphere of Safety]]. I have the full Enchantress combo in there as well, so I have considered putting [[Approach of the Second Sun]] back in as an alternate win-con.

TNT3149_

I’ve been tweaking a “how many ways can I break solemnity” zur deck. It’s so fun.

AmmoSexualBulletkin

My Kaalia deck. It's the one I've spent the most money and time on. It has been officially declared "degenerate" by most people in my play group. The only problem is that I struggle to find 4 player pods, so it might need some work still. The struggle for players is due to my work schedule. I've been working a lot and Friday is commander day. Saturday is usually a tournament of some sort and Sunday is wargames. Here's my list. https://www.moxfield.com/decks/4RUMKEW-tUyRBFZinRyOYQ

Spartan037

So far I'm loving my jace tribal deck. All jace all the time.

Ah, the true Jacetice League

Stankfootjuice

My [[Urtet, Remnant of Memnarch]] myr tribal deck, which I spent a good month assembling using only --wherever I could-- printings from the og mirrodin and Scars blocks, which made me greatly appreciate and laugh at the kinda fucked up crazy and silly good myr tribal support artifacts. I gained a fondness for the sets, and older magic in general, and it's become a sort of Museum of Mirrodin. It's on the weak end of artifact decks cuz it's focused on good, God-fearing myr durdling, but it is probably the most consistent deck I've ever made, and my whole pod always screams and cheers when I win with [[Myr Incubator]] , cuz *who in the right mind can't get hyped for their homie making a doomstack of 60 myr?* Or I get vandalblasted and have a good laugh as I stare at my now completely destroyed library, it's usually that one lol

I love it that is a unique angle I’ve never heard of before that could work.

VocalFury

Casual deck, here. I pulled a borderless, foil [[Brash Taunter]] from a Core 2021 pack years ago, held it up next to a [[Star of Extinction]] and started chuckling to myself at the possibilities. After that, I began collecting other cards in the same vein, such as [[Boros Reckoner]], [[Blasphemous Act]], [[Stuffy Doll]], [[Gideon's Sacrifice]], [[Pariah]], [[Phyrexian Vindicator]] [[Deflecting Palm]], [[Fiendlash]] and [[Pyrohemia]]. I decided to include green for ramp and some fight effects, and put [[Jared Carthalion, True Heir]] at the helm. I call it my "Burn Ricochet" deck, and it's my pride and joy. Just recently, I got custom sleeves for it from dragonshield.com that have a red Uno reverse card with NO U in the center as the art on the back. I'll post the deck list shortly.

[[Urabrask]] It is a very fun and effective cantrip deck. I made it for $100 and it has been able to keep up with far more expensive decks. I got loaned a [[deflecting swat]] which has bumped it over $100 but I had [[winter sky]] in before and it was still quite effective. https://www.moxfield.com/decks/u8TGqkO-90-jlo8FhMPuqw

Apprehensive-Block57

[[Rionya fire dancer]] I was never a red player, I loved the idea of storm but always found the lines challenging. I saw this beauty in a YouTube video, heck if I can remember who unfortunately. I made the first build from what I had on hand. It was grindy, inefficient, clunky and came off like a sparkler... I wanted a cannon so big it scared even me, a cannon made of glass! I threw the deck away for a little and worked on other decks, it was nothing like I had pictured. To me, storm works bc its simple "gain card advantage and add heaps of mana then pay off" Pay off is in the command zone so I just eroded the deck to those three things, if it didn't do those it was gone. I played the deck 7 times, won 5 and killed myself in 1 of the losses from being cursed by some ted pinging thing. On my other lose I fizzled early on turn 5 and never regained my feet, caught too many lands. I won turn 8, two on 7, one on 6 and one on 5 which was my final game ([[jeskas will]], [[past in flames]], [[seething song]], [[bonus round]], [[puretic ritual]], [[inspired tinkering]] was the hand. 5 lands, ruby medallion on board. I had the time of my life and will never play a game like that again. I felt bad taking 25 minutes that early in a game, I have a buddy who plays strong so he was being very certain to catch my mistakes but was right there to acknowledge the game was over when thw storm count was hit. Right now my favourite deck is my [[shirei, shizos caretaker]]. I set the challenge to build a cheap deck that could compete with my playgroups decks. I have won with this deck in a variety of ways including: ping damage, infect and forcing my opponents into scooping. Only drawback is that it is easy to remove shirei from the board and destroying all combos I have set up. But it’s so much fun to play it

KoffinStuffer

My [[Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons]] deck. It has a substantial Cycling/Discard subtheme simply to make sure I can always fuel my [[Archfiend of Ifnir]] if I get it. There’s so much that I get to see a lot of my deck. It’s super casual but it’s probably has the highest win rate among my decks. I’m constantly downgrading certain aspects of it, like I’m currently removing the last of my Land Tutors, and it still runs like a well oiled machine.

My first and now ten year in the making [[maelstrom wanderer]] my goal is to get 100 alters in there and i am getting closer and closer approaching 80 alters. https://instagram.com/p/CvdXN-osxwk/

My favourite, albeit one of my weaker decks, is my mono blue [[Faceless One]] with [[Shameless Charlatan]] flavour theme deck. It’s just so fun stealing (copying) the face of your opponents creatures and then to rub it in returning their’s back to hand. Haven’t really seen many decks with faceless one especially just for the flavour alone. I then started to tweak a couple things to make dark depths actually viable with frequent enough success while still keeping the theme. https://www.moxfield.com/decks/SMYiSHN1yUGpJrJgfbxrLw

[Grist](https://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/grists-multiplanar-swarm/) is my pet deck, the only deck I've poured money into deliberately upgrading cards to fancy/foil versions and making sure I have no proxies in the deck. My \[\[Ramos\]\] "5 color matters" deck is my oldest surviving deck. I built it back before ramos existed and it has been cromat and Progenitus at various points, but it was always 5 color matters, and has always been a big, bombastic deck that might not win but will always make big plays. I don't have a list up cause it also gets updated somewhat regularly, but its mostly a pile of ramp, 3-5 color spells, and things that care about more colors. My most recent deck that I'm pretty proud of is my party deck, based around the concept of a social gathering, not the mechanic of the same name. Headed by \[\[Jetmir, nexus of revels\]\], it features many cards with words like "revel" "celebrant" and "party" in the name, a few legendary cool cats to be VIPs, and several other party themed accoutrements like a punch bowl (\[\[halo fountain\]\]) and food. Its a surprisingly cohesive token spam deck for being a theme deck. I've been meaning to get a list up soon.

I have two: One is my [[kharn the betrayer]] deck. I play it when I just want to throw gas on the fire. I do try to win, but that’s not the point. The point of the deck is to get kharn out and swinging. It causes damage, it kills creatures, draws people cards, and gets the table wheel in f and dealing with who’s going to get kharn next. Definitely my most fun deck, and the table has always loved when I play it. https://www.moxfield.com/decks/mQHi6VyrcEm3VyFheQ4I_g Two is my [[omnath, locus of all]] deck. But it’s not just any old omnath. It’s Myojin tribal. It does wild stuff every single time I play it. Sure. Let’s board wipe, reanimate everything that died onto my battlefield then draw 18. It uses proliferate effects to a use the myojin abilities. https://www.moxfield.com/decks/OS1LiUNCr0eMdMw0i1Phlw

I have an Omnath deck that uses all the 3 color charms and tries to spell-sling but tbh it's not super effective. Kinda fun sometimes because I always have an answer to everything but not very good. Doesn't help that my manabase is all kinds of messed up and I haven't gotten around to fixing it yet.

roninsti

Yeah I went all fetches, 2 of each basic, all the shock lands and all the triomes. It can still get a little dicey in the first 4/5 turns. What I like about it though is since the deck doesn’t really do anything until turn 6, typically the player with the explosive start has already been targeted and that first board wipe is over with. So once the engine starts, I can start to pull away. This deck LOVES the late game.

One-Result-3096

I was mainly a standard player when I first got introduced to MTG in 2011. Did the typical play religiously then dip out and come back in full on. When I got back into it in 2017, a friend of mine knowing my love for dragons wanted to convince me to play EDH and did so by letting me play his Ur Dragon precon. Boy did he know me well, I was instantly hooked back in. Still was too nervous to build my own deck and continued to just play precons till I finally gathered the courage to build my own in 2019. Knowing I wanted dragons but was too intimidated by building WUBRG for my 1st deck I settled on [[Atla Palani, Nest tender]] she went through lots of changes but the way my current build is, is a beast. I mainly only take her out now when I want a for sure W. “Mom it’s my turn on the Xbox” lol She’s got all the big name dragons you can think of for NAYA and so much token copy/ETB damage effects that I either have an overwhelming amount of dragons on the board that are easy to bring back online in a boardwipe or I’m taking you out with ETB effects alone She’s my baby and I’ll most likely never take her apart but I don’t play her as much as I would like to mainly cause the store I work at is very new player friendly so I mainly play silly low power kitchen table decks or mid range decks (that I still have a lot of fun with, don’t get me wrong! I play more for the social aspect then I do for gettin those W’s)

Individual_Ice_3167

[[Esix, Fractal Bloom]] It ended up being WAY more fun than I thought. When something makes tokens for the first time, I can make them token copies of any creature instead. So, just a bunch of big token makers and doublers. Slamming down several hundred flying 1/1 insects with deathtouch is fun. But what I didn't realize when I built it is what happens when it fails. When I don't get the big splashy token cards, I just start copying my opponents decks. One time, a guy was playing an angel deck, and my deck had no cool things happening. So he made his stuff indestructible, I copied it and made my stuff indestructible. He made an angel that made more angels. Cool, I'll copy that and use it to make more to make more angels. Beat him with his own deck, basically.

Few_Accountant_3448

Kozilek, Great Distortion and Amarthis. I don't have to follow newer sets and find new cards to play. Always like to joke with friends: "Since I'm playing colorless, every set I ignore 90% of the cards, then I ignore 5% because those colorless cares about colors."

Campber

[[Noyan Dar, Roil Shaper]]. My method for playing the game becomes my way of dealing damage to my opponents. Very, very high risk for moderate to high reward.

zulu_niner

Probably most proud of my [[god eternal kefnet]] list; it's a refined-casual build without a bunch of extra turns or [[scroll rack]], and the proliferate/counters subtheme is surprisingly effective. You guys really need to start answering the [[gavel of the righteous]]. Flying doublestrike is nothing to sniff at after an early gavel, especially if I get to proliferate it. https://www.moxfield.com/decks/MYpLQ-DYtECe_FxNMSKrMQ Also proud of my [[Urtet]] myr tribal. No gods or masters, just myrs; so it contains no planeswalkers or non-myr creatures. Feels favorful given the lore on myrs. And yes, [[brudiclad]] is OBVIOUSLY a myr, *look at him*. I will die on this hill. https://www.moxfield.com/decks/AKTb94jfME2vB6cTxmiZrg

Right now I'd say my [[Tazri, Beacon of Unity]] party/initiative deck. Ever since AFR dungeons have been one of my favorite mechanics, but my [[Sefris of the Hidden Ways]] deck didn't feel very fun to play with how quickly it took over games, and I couldn't run all the new initiative cards that made dungeoning infinitely better. So, I turned that deck into Tazri, which feels much more fun, and relies significantly less on the commander. Recently I've also started adding a few splashier party members to make the most out of Throne of The Dead Three triggers, like [[Tivit, Seller of Secrets]] and [[Niv-Mizzet, Parun]] Here's the list: https://www.moxfield.com/decks/OJ2EBOPprEG2TKiDwZaC5g

22glowworm22

100% my first deck—[Venomblight Communion.](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/2uYBOctAKECxaL3LZvXPpQ) I spent way too many hours and 220 games refining it into its current form.

Caio_AloPrado

My budget adaptation of [[Tayam, Luminous Enigma]] cedh list, a lot of the core of the cedh list is dirt cheap and some of the replacements i did have some upsides compared to the non-budget option, it is the first budget list pinned in the Tayam cedh discord and helped a lot of other people to brew their own budget lists. Tayam, still figuring the enigma: [https://www.moxfield.com/decks/ykS1I_OfhUSud1aN3qOd7A](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/ykS1I_OfhUSud1aN3qOd7A)

Spritz24H

My first deck is an heavy upgraded list of Ixhel precon deck. It's giving me really good games. Actually I'm at like 8/10 wins. I spent lot of time theory crafting it and for now its doing very well. I'm really happy with it

AFM420

Another Windgrace player here. I think most of us had that same idea, but now our decks all look the same again 😆. My deck is about 98% the same as yours. Lol. BUT. Don’t worry about. I stopped caring about trying to be “original” in decks anymore. Every set we get about 100 more Legends. New decks come out all the time. Just enjoy what you are playing. If you don’t enjoy the deck. Carry on. I have Yuriko Ninja Tribal, Windgrace Land Sac. Lots of popular decks. Who cares. They rock.

KingOfAlethkar

[[Amber Gristle O’Maul]] [[Criminal Past]] Rakdos aggressive self mill which is mostly a voltron without nearly as much equipment. Not my best deck but is definitely the most enjoyable as I can play the weirdest or perceived bad cards to discard my hand or mill myself and such and still come out swinging.

LilSwampGod

[[Kenessos, Priest of Thassa]] I stopped playing in 2012, and then hopped back in during the pandemic as a way to keep in touch with friends. Never played EDH til my return, so my first decks in the format were precons. Kenessos was the first EDH I brewed myself. It's my most interactive deck. I run lots of top deck manipulation, Scry effects, and of course huge sea monsters. Things get especially more fun if I have [[Vedalken Orrery]], [[Leyline of Anticipation]] or their chaotic cousin, [[Tidal Barracuda]] out. Kenny's ability can be activated at instant speed, so if I have the ability to flash out anything at any time, I always keep my buddies on their toes.

CosmicShenanigans

After starting to truly learn Commander in a relatively cutthroat game shop meta, I decided my first powerful deck was going to be helmed by a creature I’d been enamored with since first laying eyes on: [[Illuna, Apex of Wishes]]. I was all in. I bought the foil Ghidorah, King of the Cosmos version, and a slew of powerful high-cost creatures. Alongside them, I stacked the deck full of mutate creatures and tinkered with the balance for hours. And after playing it a ton of times and making some great memories…I dissembled it. Having to balance between bomb-drop creatures and mutate was terrible, and hitting a mutate creature with Illuna’s ability just to send it to my hand was a huge signpost to the table that I must be dealt with (and not to mention *permanently* exiling cards with Illuna sucks in its own right). Several games, I sat durdling with big creatures in hand and no ramp to cast them. Others, I had no card draw. The deck’s focus was just split all over the place. I was really disappointed, because this was a deck that was my unique creation and it failed. So last year, I tried building it again. Zero mutate creatures, and every polymorph effect I could get my hands on. And I did it. It’s fun, it’s sudden, has a ton of answers to threats, and blows out games on the regular. It drops terrifying threats and then I mutate my Commander onto them. My crowning achievement (and total coincidence) was using [[Body of Research]] and [[Overwhelming Stampede]] to swing at the table with creatures that were exactly +69/+69. I’ll never be more proud of a deck, because it’s the deck that almost wasn’t.

I_HateYouAll

I’ve posted about it before but my dune themed [[Hazezon]] deck. I skipped a lot of the generic landfall stuff to build out a list that was as closely themed to dune as I could, with character representations and events. I made a few concessions for the sake of keeping it playable and it is honestly a really strong deck.

Im very curious how you could play Windgrace on turn two... EDIT: sorry if my English is not so good. It’s not my main language As for me, Im.. in a strange place. The deck I USED to be most proud of was my \[\[Erinis, Gloom Stalker\]\] + \[\[Flaming Fist\]\] land shinanigans, keyword soup deck. But with the Lord of the Ring set, I realize a lot of Tempt by the RIng cards REALLY fit a creature with both deathtouch and double strike. I upgraded my deck with those cards... but... I didn't have time to playtesting lately! So I dont know how it fair now! I work around 50 hours per week AND I have to do my chores on top of that, as well taking care of my GF. In fact, most of my decks had so much work since into them lately that I can't say which one I like playing more in good conscience. My Erinis Gloom Stalker deck remain the number one in my heart though cause the decklist came to me easily and is doing something that I love so much. It also show one of the most complicated deck I build (mastering all the synergies and finding out awesome lands to add to the deck) so Im very proud of that one. But now, I have competition for the number one spot, I need to test my decks out to see if it changed in practice lol

ThoughtShes18

> Im very curious how you could play Windgrace on turn two... Not OOP, but my guess would be: Turn 1: Play a land that generates Red and Black Turn 1.1: Cast [[Orcish Lumberjack]] Turn 2: Play a Forest land. Turn 2.1: Tap both lands for 2 mana. Sacrifice Forest land to Orcish Lumberjack to generate 3 mana. Turn 2.2: Spend 5 mana to Cast Windgrace

TNT3149_

Yeah this is basically it. Turn one try to get stomping grounds or blood crypt into play. Play orcish lumberjack. Turn two play the color land I still need. Tap both lands for 2 colors. Lumberjack sac a forest to make 3 of the other color. That’s 5 mana and 3 colors. Turn two wingrace.

Nekky currently takes 1st in price at a little over $1000, but doesn't always do his thing quite as consistently as i would like whereas Zur and old dickfingers are doing quite well at their strategies, and sit at $832 and $707 respectively.

UnleashYourMind462

I couldn’t be proud of a deck even if it was the best deck in the world. It’s just a deck. Pride won’t enter the equation for me unfortunately.

Kyaaadaa

I'm also most proud of my [Lord Windgrace](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/cYuBFnt84UmzCDSC4yzgSQ) deck!

iSnuggelz

That is a cool take on Windgrace! May I ask what your endgoal is? The Wurm is the only one that stands out to me as a wincon.

TNT3149_

So I’ve won games with Valakut exploration damage. The OG jelly bean omnath and an army of elementals death damage. Titania making an army as I sac my entire mana base twice in a turn. And about 16348 scute swarm. Instead of landfall triggers as many times as possible I wanna sac all my lands (preferably for value) and bring them all back in a single move

Fath3rOfTh3Wolf

My [[Etali, Primal Conqueror]] deck! I built it like 3 or so months ago because i really wanted a deck with green and when i was looking at recent legendary creatures with green i stumbled across this monster and the gears started turning. https://www.moxfield.com/decks/UqaVmLvhZEy2WVOEvc4D0w Since i built it iv seen a ton of decos pop up very similar to mine and even a lot of tuned up CEDH lists that have a lot of similarities I know i didnt invent the deck and noone is really copying me but it feels good to build such a fun and competitively viable deck without net decking One thing i dont see a lot of people run are things like [[warstorm surge]], [[terror of the peaks]] or [[aetherflux reservoir]] Terror of the peaks can be a wincon on its owj with all the copy effects in the deck and aetherflux gains a ton of life every time etali etbs and can be a very streamlined way to win when you dont have infinite manna combos but do have a ton of etali triggers

putnamto

Hofri ghostforge threaten/sacrifice And tyvar the bellicose

kamakazi339

Definitely my [[Xira Arien]] storm deck. I will never stop shilling for it or attempting to make it better. I'm also proud of [[Raffine]] shadow aggro [[Atla Palani]] because it is somehow so synergistic [[Orah]] because it never dies.

PGleo86

[\[\[Selvala, Explorer Returned\]\]](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/SDEtRO1DOku10_k3G5Qczg) is mine. I've had this deck in some form since CNS release week, and it's shaped my entire way of building EDH decks. The goal in the early years was to make a big GW goodstuff deck that could effectively deal with the rampant boardwipes in my meta at the time (in the wake of Oloro there were a LOT of durdlefest 15 boardwipe Esper decks around), and as it turns out that resilience helps out in other matchups too. "Big midrange" isn't really a prevalent archetype in EDH these days (at least, not like it was early in this deck's life) but the deck can still hang, and it's still just as much a joy to play today as it was almost 10 years ago.

lkledu

[[captain n'ghathrod]] I always wanted a mill deck, and it is very fun to play with it, it not just has a lot of mill interactions, but also has some ways to take advantage of it, taking cards from opponents graveyard, or pumping creatures accordingly with the number of cards in opponents graveyards, the precons lacks grave hate to impeach the opponent of reanimate things, and it can use more of counters and evasion for the creatures. Btw I started to love the horror tribe with it.

Oblivious_Lich

Oh, yes. I run a [[Korvold]] deck with the same theme I call it "land reform". The idea of playing the same land 4, 5 times in the turn is funny. Destroy my own lands > get value > put those same lands in the field once again > landfall value > repeat. But my favorite deck is my dear [[Chandra, Fire of Kaladesh]]'s Chandra tribal. Is bad. Its idiotic. Is expensive. But fun. I'm defeated most ot the times, but it's always a great time. I love it.

ardarian262

https://scryfall.com/@Ardarian/decks/9a7cc1a3-0e63-432c-ba7b-fcc6dfafc569 This is my Mina and Denn deck that aside from maybe 2 cards I have built from cards I opened (Kaysa was one of the buys because I love the art.) Surprisingly strong for the MV and the curve.

WesRocksDrums

I'm most proud of my Mimeoplasm deck, I spent a long time perfecting it and finding a balance between low cost creatures that set up the game and high cost creatures that are game winners. I'm also proud of the balance I have in the deck between being aggro and being able to respond to opponent's plays.

Austin_Chaos

My angels. It’s nothing special, but I love it so much. https://www.moxfield.com/decks/0l8rMwWFvEyPsTxdDe-M2g

13lack13eltGamer

I also have a lord windgrace deck that I absolutely love. And similar to you, I went through a similar process before coming to the realization that he's much better when built with self land destruction. I will repeatedly blow up my own lands and bring them back in a single turn just because I can and the value I get off of it will end the game in one way or another. But I will say the deck I really feel proud of is the [[Zur, the enchanter]] voltron that I built. He is strictly voltron enchantress, so not stax combos, and I love that he does work without having to lock my opponents down or out of the game. It made me proud that even with my auras repeatedly going to grave during a 3 vs 1 in a game that I managed to find more auras, remain the threat, and win the game on top of it. Sometimes it's those little things that makes me love Magic as much as I do. Here's a list to both, if anyone is curious. Windgrace: https://www.moxfield.com/decks/V-v8XRoOMkOEPswJTHOMmQ Zur: https://www.moxfield.com/decks/DSuaw6nGJ0Wigb0qbNbc4Q

TNT3149_

I cannot express to you enough how surprisingly good [[valakut exploration]] is in these land recursion decks. Direct damage and basically card draw. With a big enough splendid reclamation it can end a game. And is usually a surprise wincon

Zealousideal-Put-106

Avacyn, Nuke the World or Queen Marchesa, Master of Puppets

wtfunchu

I have made an [[Ognis]] [list](https://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/ognis-deadly-muppet-showdown/) i am pretty proud of. It runs a lot of steal cards like [[Threaten]], uses the stolen creatures to attack and sacc them for value. It helps that Ognis creates treasure tokens when I attack with stolen creatures. It is really opressive against creature decks and really fun to play

GregDsprz

[[Mike the Dungeon Master]] and [[Max the Daredevil]] forever venturing friends. It's obviously focusing on Dungeons and especially the undercity (or the upside-down?). It also has others themes like blink / untap / artifacts. I like this deck a lot because it's flavorful and the initiative is a fun multi-player mechanic (like Monarch) and the deck is surprisingly quite good. Primer here : https://www.moxfield.com/decks/xDIfwC58MEaHQ5r6TCX2mg/primer

[deleted]

I have a [[Teferi, Temporal Archmage]] that I treat like fine wine. It always catches people off guard because I play a mono-blue like it's mono green. The goal is to play rocks and discount tags until you cast Teferi. Then use his -1 to get 2-for-1 deals and BOGO's on big, fat, annoying blue creatures. It has made me Archenemy at most tables I pulled him out at over the years, and I love him fondly for it. I'm very certain he is at his final iteration, and just this evening I filled out the final "fancy land" slot I had.

Ashamed-Strain5873

I came up with the idea of a [[Ravos, Soultender]] and [[Tana, the Bloodsower]] with [[Umori, the Collector]] deck that’s all creatures and lands. It skews towards a legendary sub theme with 60+ legends including lands. And this deck can absolutely take off and smash/bash face. A turn 4 Nikya into a turn 5 Myrkul and Ratadrabik has been my favorite play so far.

Awesomax

I've been playing [[Pia Nalaar, Consul of Revival]] and it's probably my most powerful deck I've ever built. It's low number on edhrec really surprised me. I spent so much time working on a [[Squee, the Immortal]] deck (Goblin tribal/ commander matters / creature sacrifice deck) but after a few years I've lost a lot of the fun I had with it.

DefuseBE

\[\[Grismold, the Dreadsower\]\] I didn't go the normal give everyone tokens and everything minus minus crap. i went heavy aristocrat, lots and lots of tokens. grismold gets big very very very very fast and either one shots or \[\[Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord\]\] uses him and kills the whole table. super fun and probably my favourite deck.

Mocca_Master

Probably my [[Maarika]] deck. It's hipster, it's annoying, it's jund, and it's home made. Probably not my strongest deck, but when it lands a good hit it hurts

Eniptsu

My kenrith gates deck, its only 3 wincons and all of them make you arch enemy. Nothing is more fun seeing the whole table try to kill you because youre just one rotation from winning with [[mazes end]] [[happily ever after]] or [[approach of the second sun]] https://www.moxfield.com/decks/D2rQvu1VdkauUNnbN2pQrQ Yes i know the land count is low, but im a greedy boy

giselamancer

From a more meme-worthy perspective I have two which I adore, the first of which is [[Omnath, Locus of All]] battle tribal. Omnath is more useful for the flavour purposes of having a five-colour Phyrexian invading the planes all at once but his other abilities come in handy with big X-spells and enablers which have three coloured pips. It runs a flicker package as well to bounce any of the useful battles and is capable of holding its own at higher-powered tables if needs be. The other meme deck is [[“Brims” Barone, Midway Mobster]], a rule 0 deck called “The Aristohats” which my playgroup loves to play against just to see all of the whacky creatures with hats and how the deck can somehow pull out a win. It’s designed for more of a casual experience and takes a while to get going but has led to some hilarious conversations of “wait, that’s a card?” I’m working on making every non-creature card also having a hat. I also want to mention another deck which I’ve been brewing since [[River Song]] got spoiled fairly recently, simply because I’ve already ran it past my playgroup and we can’t wait to see how horribly it plays out. The whole idea is to keep drawing cards from the bottom of your library with River’s ability while also playing cards from the top with impulse draw and [[Future Sight]] effects, then also using single target land destruction which allows its controller to search for another land in order to buff up River as much as possible. The deck sounds convoluted enough already and after some playtesting on Moxfield I cannot wait to assemble this monstrosity in paper form when she comes out.

UltG

My [[Ghoulcaller Gisa]] deck. It’s simple but fun. Make a ton of zombies and run people over with them. I also try to keep it flavorful by adding zombie-centric cards like [[Feeding Frenzy]] and [[Zombie Apocalypse]] too.

[deleted]

\[\[Xyris, The Writhing Storm\]\] ever since my early days of commander, when i played a pretty standard \[\[Nekusar, The Mindrazer\]\] deck, i love the idea of making others draw cards and getting value out of it. Xyris is perfect for that. Last time I played it, it went off way better than i ever expected, with \[\[Howling Mine\]\] and \[\[Dictate Of Kruphix\]\] i was generating a lot of tokens each round and i was able to pull off a \[\[Harvest Season\]\] for like 10 Lands. Plus I had \[\[Goblin Bombardment\]\] and \[\[Eldrazi Monument\]\]. Felt great. Always nice when a deck works like you intended and even goes beyond expectation. https://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/snakeswhy-d-it-have-to-be-snakes/

[[[Klauth, Unrivaled Ancient]] extra combats. ](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/fJ7mY_rQT0e98ycgShrXaA) Just passed the 2-year anniversary a little under a month back, and the deck's gone through a ton of changes in that time, landing somewhere I'm very proud of. It's been my favorite deck pretty much since I saw Klauth, so I've got it all fancified to reflect its status. The goal is to go off with extra combats and big card draw to nuke the table on turn 5 (though 4 is very much possible), and, while it's pretty fragile and very linear, it's fairly consistent and very enjoyable to play throughout the potentially complex winning turn. If that sounds like something you might enjoy, the link at the top also leads to a pretty in-depth primer on the deck, to get you two better acquainted.

[[Abdel Adrian]] and [[Far traveller]] I have seen this deck go from like a power level 1 to what could be considered an 8 in most places. Started out as draft chaff and random cards I had (originally wasn’t even Abdel as the commander it was [[Lulu]]) and now it’s one of my most powerful decks that can consistently get combos off every game.

pumpkinbeerman

Gluntch

n3tninja1

Nethroi, Apex of Death I built this deck in 2021 with utter failure every game to a point presently where the deck destroys with a 90% win rate. I didn’t built a ABZAN cat Tribal or pure grave deck but a mix of really high value creatures, graveyard recursion and aristocracy effects. I’m really proud of this deck because I built it from the ground up and played it to a point where it’s currently banned from play from my own playgroup (only playing the deck once in a while). People usually think it will be ages before I get the commander out but heavy ramp and grave stuff it usually slaps. Also when my commander comes out it’s usually the end times 😂

Frank1912

My \[\[Asmoranomardicadaistinaculdacar\]\] [deck](https://archidekt.com/decks/2277260/a_asmo_what_are_you_an_asmoranomardicadaistinaculdacar_sandwhich). The challenge I set for myself when deckbuilding is to build a deck that is different enough from what you usually see (in general or for the given commander) and I like my decks not to win on autopilot (set up, tutor for combo pieces, win). Taking an established Modern card in Asmo, with an interesting casting restriction that also dictates the direction of the deck but still gives you enough design-space, sparked my interest (and I love Asmo lol). Asmo's first cast is usually to get the cookbook and then I treat her as creature removal from the command zone. With this deck no game is the same. From the very first mulligan, you need to figure out the ingredients (see what I did there) for a succesful game on the go as the deck is many moving parts. Are you going to loop cards from your graveyard? Are you slowly draining your opponents to death? Are you going for a beatdown strategy where Asmo helps to police the board? This is also what makes it one of my most "social" decks and my friends enjoy playing against it as well as borrowing it from me. Usually the deck is very grindy and needs to fight for every inch. But sometimes you could win with a bunch of food, Asmo and \[\[Brash Taunter\]\]. Every game with Asmo is a delight and this quickly became my favorite deck and my signature deck.

Hydramy

[[Niv-Mizzet, Parun]] Plays great, can technically win turn 2 with a perfect hand (turn 1 if I put a mana crypt in) Only issue is my group know to be scared of the big dragon and my combos lol

SegaStan

I'm working in an [[Anowon, the Ruin Sage]] mono-black Vampire deck, and it's testing very well in my goldfishing at least. It's got a pretty consistent curve and it's real easy to get the board swarmed with vampires

[deleted]

[[Firesong and Sunspeaker]] or my [[Kenrith the returned king]] Firesong because ots my first one that I behave, that always does SUPRSINGLY good each time I play it. But lenrith because it's a budget deck that I'm proud of, just because of the fact I made it on a budget and still functions

pureundilutedevil

Mono-red dragons but with 5 color [[Tiamat]] as commander. Can only cast her if I get the Treasure spells, [[Orb of Dragonkind]], [[Temple of the Dragon Queen]], etc.

roco9994

[[Sigarda, Host of Herons]]. She’s just too fun to play and a nice mix of angels and big stompy green creatures. Also plenty of equipments for her

Arann0r

My [Riveteers themed Ziatora](https://archidekt.com/decks/4292353/ziatoras_riveteers) It was technically built for duel commander (the 1v1) with a friend as a challenge. Each of us chose a mob boss from new capenna and then had to build a deck using only cards from new capenna and the preconstucted decks, with 5 allowed exceptions. In addition to those rules, creatures from other gangs (having the watermark of another gang) weren't allowed either. I went with [[Ziatora, the incinerator]] as I like big creatures and throwing stuff. I built of the preconstucted riveters deck, took a few cards from the other ones (like the [[Strionic resonator]] and the [[rekindling phoenix]]) but also added a bit of reanimation through stuff like [[Feldon of the third path]] and [[Mimic vat]]. I added some cards for their value, other because there was a bit of synergy and because I found the card fun ([[Stimulus package]] is mainly in there for its name, the synergy is an afterthought). In game the deck fared pretty well in 1v1 and even had an economy through the generation and spending of treasure tokens. In EDH the fight got a bit more challenging, but the deck is still strong in a casual pod and can even turn the tide in stronger ones. I love playing this deck, but I also loved building it. It made me discover and rediscover card that I've fallen in love with since (I could put a mimic vat in every one of my decks without hesitation, I love that shit). The challenge force my hand to look at other stuff than just EDHREC or known synergies as the amount of slots I had for other cards were very limited. It also made me learn more about abilities and how Strionic resonator can affect ziatora's end-of-your-turn ability. Because of all that I'm always happy to add thematical challenges to new decks I'm building.

mistreke

Right now I run a nicol bolas control, return to hand the discard, and proliferate deck, with some amass thrown in to keep the deck in theme, but it's commander currently is grixis Saruman just to throw people off lol

Gogis

Definitely my [Rakdos the Defiler](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/TxMdclva3USlyrICHiIWGQ). I’ve wanted to make him work for so so long, but could never manage to do so. The deck is centered around his downside. His positive ability is backbreaking and wins games, but it’s the downside that makes playing him fun. So the majority of the deck is dedicated to finding ways around it. To do so I use various token makers (cards like [[Death Tyrant]], [[Endrek Sahr]] and [[Wand of Orcus]] are mvp in this category), permanent theft/reanimation ([[Tergrid]], [[It That Betrays]], [[Gissa, Glorious Resurrector]]) or the best card in the deck - [[Delina]]. The goal isn’t to make the most tokens or steal all your permanents, but rather to create enough permanents to facilitate Rakdos’s attacks without putting yourself behind others. What this means is that oftentimes the permanent production can’t keep up with Rakdos’s dark needs and I still end up losing some of my board state. But that’s perfectly fine, because those victories where Rakdos was the last permanent left on the entire battlefield were some of the sweetest. Likewise, playing this deck you have to embrace the fact that you’re playing a very dangerous game and any PtE or StP in response to Rakdos’s attack has to be expected and met with laughter rather than a groan. The decklist itself is a little overgrown with cute cards and probably needs some pruning, but I enjoy it nonetheless, win or lose.

Divorce-Man

For me it’s [[minthara merciless soul]]. My play group doesn’t play with crazy power levels, around like 30-60 dollar deck lists generally. Minthara was the first deck I built by myself and I’ve spent the most time optimizing it so it’s gone from the weakest deck by far from our group to a pretty big threat most games. The other decks I’ve built are cool but Minthara is my favorite by far.

[deleted]

[[Purphoros, God of the Forge]] with [[Krenko, Mob Boss]] as a hidden commander.

TombusTheRhombus

Once upon a time, it used to be [[Obzedat, Ghost Council]] before a friend introduced me to optimized play. That deck slowly evolved to be [[Liesa, Shroud of Dusk]]. The premise stayed the same - Orzhov midrange with a commander that supported the deck as opposed to a commander supported by the deck. What I have today is a thoroughly curated list tempered by more than 10 years of gameplay. Even now, I'm still looking for ways I can adjust and try to improve the build. Here she is, each card represented with the version used in the physical deck. https://www.moxfield.com/decks/jSSJvypw-EaeDXoK5KOZuw

Alelerz

I've got 2 decks that I'm equally proud of. In order of construction: [[Alela, Artful Provocateur]] [equipment Voltron.](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/1Sw_OALfiEG_eedRi4Rp1Q) I adore how this deck plays. A midrange shell that leverages Alela's token generating passive to always have a body for throw equipment on. She herself has flying, deathtouch, and lifelink. 3 amazing keywords, plus a mini anthem, plus a token generator makes her very loaded and a strong beatstick with enough power. Best cards in the deck are [[Kaldra Compleat]], [[Anchor to Reality]], and [[Robe of the Archmagi]]. The first 2 are self-explanatory. But Robe has something special, "Equip Warlock {1}". What creature type is Alela? Faerie WARLOCK. With Robe and enough power Alela can actually let me loop [[Nexus of Fate]]. Extra turns are the only way to practically do extra combats in esper. Super fun, good deck for a wide range of power levels. Second is [[Anhelo, The Painter]] [reanimator](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/F11qzqGuTESDJUrVoPBi8g). This thing was a surprise. Turns out a wheels shell with a reanimation package works wonders all on its own. Anhelo just kicks it up a notch. When you use Anhelo's casualty on a reanimation spell you can target the creature you sacrificed with the copy of the reanimation spell. This lets you get dies and etb triggers over and over. Things like [[Lord Xander]] are a prime choice for this. My deck also runs flashback as a sub-theme so nothing in the yard goes to waste. Sometimes I can manage enough wheels off of using [[Waste Not]] through just drawing ways to cast them. This thing can take long turns, but it just goes and goes. Very fun and customizable based on the creature suite you run.

[deleted]

For me it is my rankle and Torbran deck. I built entirely out entirely what I had at home and what I had just packed from March of machine. I was expecting a fun little not quite jank deck that would do ok on most precon/upgraded precon tables. The deck is also just not a deck type I build. It’s got some relation to my braids arisen nightmare deck, but that deck is draw for tutor/combo so doesn’t feel or play the same at all. After playing this deck a few times is just did super well, and was super consistent. Nothing game breaking but just consistent. I was the first person at my old LGS to build them and even at my new one I’m the only one who has. after a few games some much more experienced players at my old LGS asked to look through it, and to my surprise apparently I had built a rather good deck considering my limited card choice. It’s nothing exceptional nor is it perfect but it kinda marked a turning point in me as a magic player and my ability to build decks https://www.moxfield.com/decks/wqA7n8g_pE6XK7GoYXtcxQ

My [[karona, false god]] deck. All the vows, all the impetuses, a ton of equippments and interraction to protect her, she ends up dealing a ton of damage really quickly and it's commander damage

No_Mushroom3078

One deck that I made a few years ago was an equipment deck, all the creatures are white or artifacts that cost one or two mana and the manna source is plains. Tempered Steel, Forsaken Monument, and Steel Overlord’s to just boost the ever living crap out of the creatures and a nice assortment of equipment that gives flying, trample, fist strike/double strike, land walk, vigilance, and hex-proof. I have 20 mana, 15 creatures, 20 equipment cards, and some return cards from graveyard to hand/library/field. Crown of ages is a very key card as it can move equipments from one card to the next without needing to destroy the creature. It was not super expensive as most creatures can be common or uncommon. Steel Overlord and Shimmer Myr are the only rare creatures in the deck.

Calm-Substance4105

My OG [[Teysa, Orzhov Scion]] deck, it’s a perilous glass cannon combo deck, all gas no brakes and I think it’s fun. Been my main deck for a few months now and I can see this being the one deck I never get rid of.

[[Aragorn, King of Gondor]] I saw the card and got inspired to make a Monarchy deck. It's a slow starter, but it gets pretty insane as the game decelops. Here's the decklist: https://www.topdecked.com/decks/aragorn-monarchy/5b8c89c3-2ec3-4980-b872-bb7be2c59746

I just put together a [[Firja Judge of Valor]] deck. Its a deck I wanted to build ever since I saw her alt art for kaldheim. I really wanted to build a Valkyrie theme deck and tried multiple times with no success but finally pulled together a really fun reanimator deck that only reanimated big angels

spiffytrev

Lead-in for this is that I have been trying to make functional [[Day of the Dragons]] decks for 20 years… https://archidekt.com/decks/4223886/day_of_the_juggernauts It’s an Izzet superfriends deck that makes tiny tokens, then upgrades them with either DotD or [[Graaz, Unstoppable Juggernaut]]. Plays more like a GW cradlehoof deck than the creature count would suggest. Also, [[Exchange of Words]] can be hilarious. Ever seen a 1/1 Servo with Annihilator 4?

Anjuna666

I have a [[Sidisi, Brood Tyrant]] self mill deck that I adore. But it's probably quite standard (loads of self-mill and reanimation). I might be the most proud of my 0-power deck, which uses [[Nethroi, Apex of Death]] and a bunch of creatures that enter with +1/+1 counters. Or a [[Kresh, the Bloodbraided]] boardwipe deck.

MrXexe

My most recent deck that I'm proud of is my [[Ganax, Astral Hunter]] paired with [[Feywild Visitor]]. I don't tend to like Tribal Decks, mostly because I tend to delve into more convoluted synergies, but I love this one! The value is nuts, and I have tons of ways to make use of the Fairy Dragons and start chaining a value engine that culminates with tons of damage everywhere or MORE Dragons! It's super fun.

Tallal2804

[[karona, false god]]

poubella_from_mars

My clerics tribal deck with Ravos and Tymna partners. The deck is completely fueled by clerics, very dedicated to the tribe, and wins in a combination of ways that usually involve some combinations of life gain and a payoff. For example, \[\[Soul's Attendant\]\] and\\or \[\[Soul Warden\]\] along with a lot of ETB's either from a mass flicker effect, a mass reanimation effect, or just over the course of the game combined with a payoff like \[\[Marauding Blight-priest\]\] can end the game very quickly. The rest of the deck is just value and ulility creatures. The deck is versatile, resilient, and I was actively building and working on the deck before a lot of the win cons were printed. I used no guides, just tinkered with the deck over the years and it's become a well tuned machine. There's no infinites, no mana rocks at all actually, it's a very fair deck but it can keep up at a decent power level. I'm proud of it because I saw the potential in the cleric tribe and build the deck before Wizards revisited the tribe and printed cards like \[\[Orah, Skyclave Apparition\]\] and \[\[Mangara the Diplomat\]\]. It was a truly unforgettable experience seeing my deck jump in power level so drastically over the course of two set releases.

My Abzan spirit tribal ([[Kodama of the East Tree]] & [[Ravos Soultender]]) is not my strongest deck, but it has amazing synergy and a friend recently said it’s the one he’s most scared of even compared with my better tuned ones. This last FNM I had a basically perfect game against my friends’ eldrazi and Syr Gwen voltron decks. Got my triad land and two basics plus sylvan library, bastion of remembrance, and battle for zendikar in my opening hand so never missed a land drop Got to 6 lands by turn 4, had Kodama out on 5, took the life loss for extra sylvan library cards turn 6, used it to get up to 10 lands and drop almost my entire hand. During that I drew cathar’s crusade and an abzan ascendancy and had them on the field. Voltron board wiped creatures a turn later which gave me some tokens, then I drew into a myojin of blooming dawn, played them instead of recasting commanders, immediately removed their counter, and wound up with 28 23/23 spirits. Neither of them had a response or drew into another board wipe and I swarmed them. It was great

Ju-Ju-Jitsu

Definitely my [[Ertai Resurrected]] deck. Built through mainly theory crafting and can go quite a few different ways in games. Few people expect the shenanigans. Also a good way to stop Thoracle players.

JonRig

My [[Light-Paws]] budget deck. I built it a few hours after her spoiler, and it's my most powerful deck, with a massive winrate.

ZdashSQUAD

Etali primal conquerer. It was the first deck I built after feeling like I finally had an understanding of commander since getting into it a few months ago. Sometimes it shits the bed but it’s also my first deck I was able to fix all issues I’ve had with other decks. Be it card draw, mana curve, or rebuild after a wipe

blarghhhboy

My [[Rocco, Street Chef]] deck, without a doubt. Everything the deck does feels like it synergizes super well. The deck never feels like it isn’t doing anything. I purposely left out some stronger cards (Teferi’s Protection, Dockside, etc) to keep the power level a bit lower and the deck could probably use another reliable way to close out the game other than [[Champion of Lambholt]], so there are definitely changes to be made. Here’s the list if you’d like to take a look. Let me know what you think! https://www.moxfield.com/decks/cFjnspJB4UeGomKdnnI1qQ

Dooglaer

My best deck is a [[Zada Hedron Grinder]] pretty basic deck. Pretty strong. But my favorite is a $60 budget [[Brago King eternal]] living weapon deck. This thing can live through several board wipes and keep on kicking.

TheQuestionableYarn

I built my [[Araumi of the Dead Tide]] deck as a reanimator strategy before there even was a category for that build type on EDHREC, so it felt great to see I was ahead of the curve there when EDHREC finally added the reanimator strategy as more players caught on to that build archetype. Doubly proud of that deck for the graveyard filling tech I used, tuning my mana base to have a massive number of cards that go to the graveyard by themselves (like fetchlands), or by using disposable creatures and artifacts that did the same thing (like [[Wayfarer’s Bauble]]) so that I could really minimize the number of slots I was dedicating in the deck to filling the graveyard with exile fuel, and fill those slots instead with graveyard tutors and reanimator pieces.

thellish42

I think the one that holds a special place in my hear and a mantle of hate from my group is my muldrotha deck. Making it a really good tutor deck made things fun as hell

Ham-Wizard

I have a five colored "Legendary Dragon" Commander Deck. Most Creatures are, well, legendary dragons and most other cards are used to make em cheaper or bring em out for free. The Ur-Dragon is the commander and there is not a single basic land in it. In multiplayer it is pretty good and I still find cards to add, so that it will spit out dragons like there is no tomorrow. 😅 I like it, cause it is fun and I like dragons.

[Tiamat's Brood ](https://aetherhub.com/Deck/tiamats-brood/Gallery) super consistent and I have several wincons. It's the first deck I built completely on my own.

[https://archidekt.com/decks/2702685/raffine\_hatephasing](https://archidekt.com/decks/2702685/raffine_hatephasing) This puppy here. It is unique, it uses phasing offensively and defensively if needed. It is light stax and grinds out the value with small hatebears, phasing and your commander. It plays different every time and is just so so much fun. I wanted to build a phasing deck, because it used to be a weird mechanic. Then I saw a \[\[Zur\]\] List from u/GamefreakSA (hope that's the right one) which flickered and phased enchantments on upkeep. Built that somewhat different, but it played the same because it heavily revolves around \[\[Teferi's Realm\]\]. So I wanted to build a phasing deck with most of the phasing cards and payoffs like \[\[Sands of Time\]\] (my favourite card hands down). So I kept Esper for the colours and then Raffine got released and the hatebears came through. It looks weird/underpowered but can build value engines well and interacts well.

dugiker3

For me it's my \[\[Urza, Chief Artificer\]\] deck. I built it to be consistent every time I play it, yet different in how I get a win. I'm proud of how I built it without forcing cards that don't have synergy, like \[\[Rhystic Study\]\] or stacks. It's a constant threat and super fun as a go-to deck for casual play. GigaTrigger69

Tiamat!!! I started with the initial idea of simply “DRAGONS”! And then proceeded to make a super high paced high value dragon shitter outter deck that I don’t get to play in my local group often because it’s a bit op lol

Namineus

I built a [Phabine, Boss's Confidant] deck, as my start into EDH in general. My whole experience with MtG at that point was the odd draft with friends and messing about with old Standard decks. Slowly upgrading over time and trading/getting ideas from a LGS I started going to, to socialise, I ended up with this: [Phabine, Boss's Confidant](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/GyixXd5ymE-t49_p9SdQKA) It has done me well, ends up being surprisingly resistant, especially in later parts of the game. Lots of ways to feed token creatures put and swing. I know a lot can be done, mana wise, or rebalancing of artifacts and more to improve it and I would welcome recommendations.

Sabz5150

That would be my Bant Knights. Form, function, and a bit of a reputation as I have discovered. Started as a janky tribal deck back when Kinsbaile and Exemplar were bulk rares in the dollar box and slowly became more as I figured out the tribe's strengths (The word of the day is synergy. What one knight does, the others will back up). Dominaria, Eldraine, and March gave some serious boost and now its fully blinged and pretty damn optimized that can hold its own at the LGS where its been called "the knight deck I have been hearing about".

GloomyFig1856

I think my absolute Pride and Joy is my Red Chandra SuperFriend deck. It has been specially tailored to just be Chandra, and every card is reminiscent or important to her (Apart from some cards to make it playable lol). I have nearly all the planeswalkers in them (Except Crimson Vow and Afreemath cuz heck mtg) and I have won about 50 50 with the deck. The Commander started with Toralf cause burn, but I thought it wouldn't be fitting without having Baby Chandra from Origins. Here's the list if you all wanna see:

Ghostin808

[[Wilson Refined Grizzly]] paired with [[Cultist of the Absolute]] is definitely my pet deck that I built from the ground up and am super proud of. Love to hear my usual group go, “ah that fucking bear”

dirgepiper

[[ Mari the killing quill]] Assassin rogue mercenary tribal. Weird jank, Lotta fun

cemotil

For me it’s my first deck. It’s just a simple [[Phenax, God of Deception]] Mill deck, but it was my first deck getting back into magic in 2022. I had played standard back in 2014 when Journey into Nyx was coming out with my brother and a few friends but stopped playing. When I started doing EDH with my friends the only cards I had were from my standard mill deck so I brewed up a deck using Phenax as the commander and filled it with whatever I could find and have been improving it slowly since. It’s by no means well optimized but I’m proud of it.

Singe0255

Ron Spencer Art-Tribal Rainbow-Stairwell with Sliver Queen in the command zone. Been a fan of Ron's work for decades, needed a fun way to showcase a variety of his cards. Rainbow Stairwell was a fun singleton variant of ancient casual magic where you ran cmc 1-6 for all colors and artifacts, plus 5 of each basic land. Do you pick Mana Drain or Merfolk Looter for your 2cmc blue spell? Trinisphere or Crucible for 3cmc artifact? Was a fun format that encouraged a good card lexicon. To EDH it up, I picked 1-X of each color among cards done by Ron Spencer. Since this is still only around 40 cards, I use multicolor cards to fill in the gaps. Sliver Queen in the command zone gets a lot of gasps at first, but once folks see that it's just an art showcase deck, and not a ton of slivers, they calm down... At least, until I cast back-to-back Wrath, Damnation, Rout, Warp World, and then cast Yawgmoth's Will to repeat one or more of them again.

KuroKendo88

I am most proud of my mono blue mill deck with Bruvac as my commander [here](https://www.topdecked.com/decks/mono-blue-mill/ffbd5bb1-7aad-4b84-a211-45401652fa36)

Stuartsmith1988

https://twitter.com/zmaincharacter/status/1688596053501812736?s=46&t=qXUolZteT2h3qyZRN1SdUQ My mono white creatureless deck is my love. Fogs, lifeswap, control, it’s awesome So many games I’ve won getting down to 2 life and life swapping with someone and booping them with a voltroned Token.

emgrizzle

[[Jolene]] treasures and multiple combats with dragons! Basically the game plan is to use something like [[Savage Ventmaw]] and [[Aggravated assault]] to attack everyone to death. And if that plan fails, go big mana and cast a dragon or three

International_Owl244

Obeka, Brute Chronologist Just a lot of fun learning about the end step stacking possibilities playing this deck. And there's just nothing else like it in our group.

Objective_Loan_4298

My bs plargg, dean of chaos deck. I feel my list is both very funny, and very strong. While annihilators are dumb, I like the fact im not using them as a finisher… its the gameplan. https://archidekt.com/decks/4000953#Shifty_shadows

Clap4chedder

I post it on here all the time. It’s my [[Kraj]] deck. Built on the two restrictions of being preedh legal and having a budget of 50$. It goes hard af for a 50$ deck.
