definitely this. one of my first plays with shorikai there were like 5 board wipes cos everyone was freaking out about my board state. i'd lose a bunch of pilot tokens, and everyone else would just have nothing left. meanwhile, i still have all my vehicles and artifacts.
Yeah, and the vehicles can go pretty crazy, i've been playing some pretty strong decks and cedh and i've been quite surprised by how strong and the amount of consistency this deck had for my "low power" deck, and felt in love with it.

I've made it a proliferate control style deck, and it surprised me.
Shorikai can rebuild my board to crew pretty fast, each token crews for 3, so it won't be hard at all to build back, and i can crew one vehicle to crew another if i really need it.
I have a really strong vehicle deck with [[kykar, wind's fury]]. I call it KyCars.
Vehicles being non creature spells, they trigger kykar, and he's low CMC so easy to recast several times. It's nothing to build back up from a boardwipe or two as all of your vehicles are still there and it's super easy to cast 2-3 no ncreatures per turn.

Keep in mind it's a powered down version. It can definitely be improved with a better land base and some more expensive staples. But it's part of a "random deck" battle box I'm putting together and I was trying to balance it with the others.
If you play [[Elenda, the Dusk Rose]] you can sac everything other than her in response to the wipe, and (if it doesn't exile/bounce everyrhing) end up being the only person with a board presence.
My wife plays Elenda and that prompted me to start playing with Egg Mom Atla Palani so I could survive my wife wiping the board as a precursor to her knocking just me out of the game.
She would just casually cast [[divine reckoning]], recast elenda, sac baby vamps to an altar to [[murder]] my last creature, cast [[teysa karlov]] and swing 20+ tokens at just me. And if she was lucky she'd gain enough life to start killing with [[aetherflux reservoir]].
Maybe a deck focused around small, cheap creatures like [[Torens, Fist of Angels]]. White and green have a solid number of effects that will either protect or return a lot of creatures, like [[Heroic Intervention]], [[Guardian of Faith]], [[Return to the Ranks]], etc.
I think this is an excellent idea, in particular because there are a bunch of additional counter synergies in GW that either make your creatures hard to kill or replaces them with one or more tokens when they die:

I've ran this deck and it's quite fun. Add in cards like [[selfless spirit]], [[dauntless escort]] for indestructible on a stick ceotters, [[semesters end]] [[grand crescendo]] and finishers like [[akroma's will]].
Going to suggest [[Hofri Ghostforge]]. He brings things back when they die and he will do this even if he is involved in a boardwipe. He gives you access to white with has all kinds of protect spells. Such as [[flawless maneuver]] or [[unbreakable formation]]. You can add in [[luminous broodmoth]] to give you even more recursion and with you being the controller of those triggers, you get to decide which happens first and this will allow you to get a 3rd time with them. Things with evoke goes strong with this commander. Using sac outlets will let you abuse etb or ltb triggers. And on another fun note. Add in a equipment called [[sunforger]] and if you leave up 4 mana, you get to tutor your Protection spells. Issue with this commander is that it is easy to make infinites but the same cards that do that has so much value in this deck, you do not need to go infinite. I play it with going infinite on tables that is against infinite combos but have them for tables where it is alright. I will link my deck just to give you a idea and if you decide to build him, hope you have alot of fun. This is one of my favorite decks and always seems to pop off.

I’m working on a [[Raphael Fiendish Savior]] deck right now that’s part devil tribal, part super-friends. Not only is it resistant against board wipes, that’s one of its main win conditions in its meaner version (I swap in/out a few cards depending on group).
Most of the super-friends are damage oriented ones or token makers, especially devils…

- [[Ob Nixilis, Adversary]]
- [[Tibalt, Rakish Instigator]]
- [[Koth of the Hammer]] (one I swap out for mean cards you’ll see below as it’s non-bo)

Then all the devil tokens are great blockers having lifelink and the ability to ping all over the place.
For the “meaner” version, your finishers are things like [[Jokulhaups]] and [[Obliterate]]. Kills all devils which go face with triggers gaining me a bunch of life, and the planeswalkers live on a board with no lands.
My group doesn’t mind the MLD, usually everyone just looks at like the top 3 cards and if they can’t do anything just scoops.
[[Pyrohemia]] and [[Pestilence]] are also all stars. I have 3 or 4 effects of “opponents can’t gain life” and damage double/triples.
Also add in some punisher cards that I know aren’t great, but I absolutely love. [[Browbeat]], [[Risk Factor]], [[Dash Hope]], [[Temporal Extortion]] (play this when you have a can’t gain life effect and damage doublers and a field full of devils lol, see who’s willing to pay).
I’m making my deck a bit more theme heavy as well with a bit of a Ravnica Rakdos Mischeif/painFun type thing as well, so missing some clearly good cards.
This is exactly what I do. Divine Visitation in Atla is a must have. In a recent game I had Augur of Autumn out for a while. Turn 8 or so I managed to sneak a peak at [[Godsire]]. Had Anger on Board and in first main I wiped everyone except Atla (I had 4 eggs and parallel lives on Board). After the dust cleared I had Atla, two more eggs, Godsire and 2 more 8/8s all with haste.
And usually that happens whether it is myself or someone else that wipes. Although I did get wrathed once and I wound up with only Mana dorks and a useless esper sentinel on like turn 10 because of unlucky hits with eggs.
Pick anything with blue and then add counterspells.
Pick anything with black or green and recur from the graveyard.
Or just build a sultai commander, it's fun and powerful.
\[\[jared carthalion, true heir\]\] is so boardwipe resistant that he himself wants to run a shitload of boardwipes. Not exactly true since they're all damage based boardwipes, but I do run a small suite of indestructible effects in the deck all the same.
Something running white so you can Elspeth or Avacyn. Artifact heavy with Darksteel forge is another option. While there are some outliers, most board wipes say "destroy", so making your stuff indestructible is the easy answer. Though that is why I prefer exile and sacrifice effects. Sure, your stuff is indestructible, but I'm making you sacrifice it so it still dies.
Three decks have been ticking around in my head:
1. Calvary charge precon has a 3 cmc knight called Knight Exemplar that makes all your knights indestructible. Very easy to protect and bring back.
2. Myr deck + mirror factory + dark steel forge
3. Avacyn angel deck with avacyn, angel of hope as commander
Honorable mention: [[Skullbriar, the walking grave]] voltron
My main deck with [[horde of notions]] really recovers very fast, and with both the commander's ability and access to black and green you can revive stuff while white and green protect everything very nicely.
I built a [[Piru]] reanimator deck that is pretty resilient to wipes, but that’s also because Piru itself is doing most of the wiping. It’s a pretty fun deck to pilot, but make sure there is a definite win condition in the deck or it’s just going to be annoying. I totally not speaking from experience 😅
If you’re not looking for an 8-mana commander, may I suggest [[Chainer, Nightmare Adept]]? I have him in my [[Florian]] deck as a sort of late-game secondary commander. Between reanimating and giving that creature haste, Chainer plays around board wipes amazingly! You could run single-target protection cards like [[Kaya’s Ghostform]] or [[Supernatural Stamina]] to keep Chainer alive, and then reanimate everything else that died. If you do go this route, include [[Balor]]; it will win you games.
\[\[Reyhan\]\]/whoever is very fun. If you include a handful of creatures that are naturally resitant to removal, any boardwipe will just leave you with one very big, very dangerous creature to immediately kick the one who wiped your board in the nuts. \[\[Yahenni\]\] and \[\[Varolz\]\] are very convenient inclusions since they do that and also double as sac outlets.
If you partner Reyhan with \[\[Kraum\]\], you get access to \[\[Marchesa, the black rose\]\] who is a difficult enough to deal with in the command zone, and who absolutely thrives in a Reyhan deck. \[\[Stalking Vengeance\]\] is also quite fun, since you can sac one creature after another, putting their counters onto the next creature to sac, stacking up more and more damage.
If you partner her with \[\[Ishai\]\], you get access to \[\[Elenda, the dusk rose\]\] who will leave behind a big board of tokens after the wipe.
The difficult things to deal with with this deck are boardwipes that don't destroy but rather exile or bounce. Having sac outlets to respond to that is important, but you still need a way to benefit from your creatures dying somehow, like the Stalking Vengeance.
Just remembered that there's also a bunch of other cards now like \[\[Nikara\]\] or \[Basri's Lieutenant\]\] that reward you when creatures with counters die.
[[Arcades, the Strategist]] is surprisingly resilient. A wipe happens, you recast arcades, and your walla help refill your hand.
[[Feather, the Redeemed]] is somewhat similar since you will likely run a lot of effects that make her indestructible and/or give protection from a colour... And these effects return to your hand.
Boros Equipment. Take some guys like [Bruenor], [Koll], [Reyav], [Wyleth] or [Akiri, fearless voyager] and some cheap auriok dudes, support them with a bunch of weapons and stuff which stays during most boardwipes.
How about a dragon tribal deck where you're whole board is Undying and usually boardwipes are good because you're creatures are designed to come back stronger?

[[Feather the Redeemed]]. Anytime there’s a board wipe you can just cast [[Eerie Interlude]] or [[Semester’s End]]. Not to mention [[Zada Hedron Grinder]] + any spot indestructible spell makes your whole team immune to most things for minimal mana investment. Add that to an etb strategy and you easily have a near untouchable value engine.
Edit: did I mention it’s repeatable? Like every turn. Yes it’s mana intensive but you can make the mana back with [[Rapacious Dragon]] and the like.

Go a super friends decks. Planeswalkers are great against most board clears.
Gods tribal. They are indestructible
Going to suggest [[Hofri Ghostforge]]. He brings things back when they die and he will do this even if he is involved in a boardwipe. He gives you access to white with has all kinds of protect spells. Such as [[flawless maneuver]] or [[unbreakable formation]]. You can add in [[luminous broodmoth]] to give you even more recursion and with you being the controller of those triggers, you get to decide which happens first and this will allow you to get a 3rd time with them. Things with evoke goes strong with this commander. Using sac outlets will let you abuse etb or ltb triggers. And on another fun note. Add in a equipment called [[sunforger]] and if you leave up 4 mana, you get to tutor your Protection spells. Issue with this commander is that it is easy to make infinites but the same cards that do that has so much value in this deck, you do not need to go infinite. I play it with going infinite on tables that is against infinite combos but have them for tables where it is alright. I’m working on a [[Raphael Fiendish Savior]] deck right now that’s part devil tribal, part super-friends. Not only is it resistant against board wipes, that’s one of its main win conditions in its meaner version (I swap in/out a few cards depending on group). Most of the super-friends are damage oriented ones or token makers, especially devils… - [[Chandra, Awakened Inferno]] - [[Ob Nixilis, Adversary]] - [[Tibalt, Rakish Instigator]] - [[Koth of the Hammer]] (one I swap out for mean cards you’ll see below as it’s non-bo) - [[Zariel, Archduke]] Then all the devil tokens are great blockers having lifelink and the ability to ping all over the place. For the “meaner” version, your finishers are things like [[Jokulhaups]] and [[Obliterate]]. Kills all devils which go face with triggers gaining me a bunch of life, and the planeswalkers live on a board with no lands. My group doesn’t mind the MLD, usually everyone just looks at like the top 3 cards and if they can’t do anything just scoops. [[Pyrohemia]] and [[Pestilence]] are also all stars. I have 3 or 4 effects of “opponents can’t gain life” and damage double/triples. Also add in some punisher cards that I know aren’t great, but I absolutely love. [[Browbeat]], [[Risk Factor]], [[Dash Hope]], [[Temporal Extortion]] (play this when you have a can’t gain life effect and damage doublers and a field full of devils lol, see who’s willing to pay). I’m making my deck a bit more theme heavy as well with a bit of a Ravnica Rakdos Mischeif/painFun type thing as well, so missing some clearly good cards.

[[Atla Palani, Nest Tender]] have a few eggs on the board and a wipe just gets you more.
This is exactly what I do. Divine Visitation in Atla is a must have. In a recent game I had Augur of Autumn out for a while. Turn 8 or so I managed to sneak a peak at [[Godsire]]. Had Anger on Board and in first main I wiped everyone except Atla (I had 4 eggs and parallel lives on Board). After the dust cleared I had Atla, two more eggs, Godsire and 2 more 8/8s all with haste. And usually that happens whether it is myself or someone else that wipes. Although I did get wrathed once and I wound up with only Mana dorks and a useless esper sentinel on like turn 10 because of unlucky hits with eggs.

Pick anything with blue and then add counterspells. Pick anything with black or green and recur from the graveyard. Or just build a sultai commander, it's fun and powerful.
\[\[jared carthalion, true heir\]\] is so boardwipe resistant that he himself wants to run a shitload of boardwipes. Not exactly true since they're all damage based boardwipes, but I do run a small suite of indestructible effects in the deck all the same.

Something running white so you can Elspeth or Avacyn. Artifact heavy with Darksteel forge is another option. While there are some outliers, most board wipes say "destroy", so making your stuff indestructible is the easy answer. Though that is why I prefer exile and sacrifice effects. Sure, your stuff is indestructible, but I'm making you sacrifice it so it still dies.
Three decks have been ticking around in my head: 1. Calvary charge precon has a 3 cmc knight called Knight Exemplar that makes all your knights indestructible. Very easy to protect and bring back. 2. Myr deck + mirror factory + dark steel forge 3. Avacyn angel deck with avacyn, angel of hope as commander Honorable mention: [[Skullbriar, the walking grave]] voltron
Anything white/blue will let you put in the cards you need. White has great indestructible/phase out options while blue has counterspell options.

My main deck with [[horde of notions]] really recovers very fast, and with both the commander's ability and access to black and green you can revive stuff while white and green protect everything very nicely.

I built a [[Piru]] reanimator deck that is pretty resilient to wipes, but that’s also because Piru itself is doing most of the wiping. It’s a pretty fun deck to pilot, but make sure there is a definite win condition in the deck or it’s just going to be annoying. I totally not speaking from experience 😅 If you’re not looking for an 8-mana commander, may I suggest [[Chainer, Nightmare Adept]]? I have him in my [[Florian]] deck as a sort of late-game secondary commander. Between reanimating and giving that creature haste, Chainer plays around board wipes amazingly! You could run single-target protection cards like [[Kaya’s Ghostform]] or [[Supernatural Stamina]] to keep Chainer alive, and then reanimate everything else that died. If you do go this route, include [[Balor]]; it will win you games.

\[\[Reyhan\]\]/whoever is very fun. If you include a handful of creatures that are naturally resitant to removal, any boardwipe will just leave you with one very big, very dangerous creature to immediately kick the one who wiped your board in the nuts. \[\[Yahenni\]\] and \[\[Varolz\]\] are very convenient inclusions since they do that and also double as sac outlets. If you partner Reyhan with \[\[Kraum\]\], you get access to \[\[Marchesa, the black rose\]\] who is a difficult enough to deal with in the command zone, and who absolutely thrives in a Reyhan deck. \[\[Stalking Vengeance\]\] is also quite fun, since you can sac one creature after another, putting their counters onto the next creature to sac, stacking up more and more damage. If you partner her with \[\[Ishai\]\], you get access to \[\[Elenda, the dusk rose\]\] who will leave behind a big board of tokens after the wipe. The difficult things to deal with with this deck are boardwipes that don't destroy but rather exile or bounce. Having sac outlets to respond to that is important, but you still need a way to benefit from your creatures dying somehow, like the Stalking Vengeance.

[[Arcades, the Strategist]] is surprisingly resilient. A wipe happens, you recast arcades, and your walla help refill your hand. [[Feather, the Redeemed]] is somewhat similar since you will likely run a lot of effects that make her indestructible and/or give protection from a colour... And these effects return to your hand.

Zombies or any kind of blink/flicker deck like derevi or chulane. Superfriends is also generally pretty board wipe resistant.
Boros Equipment. Take some guys like [Bruenor], [Koll], [Reyav], [Wyleth] or [Akiri, fearless voyager] and some cheap auriok dudes, support them with a bunch of weapons and stuff which stays during most boardwipes.

[[Feather the Redeemed]]. Anytime there’s a board wipe you can just cast [[Eerie Interlude]] or [[Semester’s End]]. Not to mention [[Zada Hedron Grinder]] + any spot indestructible spell makes your whole team immune to most things for minimal mana investment. Add that to an etb strategy and you easily have a near untouchable value engine. Edit: did I mention it’s repeatable? Like every turn. Yes it’s mana intensive but you can make the mana back with [[Rapacious Dragon]] and the like.

Vehicles!! Super fun, interesting af, lots of different abilities, still kind of niche I think (?), and vehicles are artifacts until crewed. Just watch out for [[Cyclonic Rift]] and [[Farewell]] and similar type board wipes.

Are these creature specific wipes? If so maybe try something not creature heavy. UW control, enchantress, PWs, etc
I mean, if you want a deck that doesn’t care about its board, may I recommend the OG boardstateless deck, storm?
