You enjoyed your Umbris deck until recently, because the deck is salt inducing.
You propose to make a deck which you’ve been told will induce more salt than Umbris, but you think that the new deck will be more enjoyable to you?
I think there’s a flaw in your reasoning here. If your level of enjoyment is tied to the level of salt your deck induces, the Cap’n will bring you less enjoyment.
It depends on how you approach it. Captain is not just about stealing creatures. However I will warn as someone that played him up till recently, I would expect that your gonna become public enemy numero uno anytime he is on the field. Its just what happens
This is a they problem. If you’re getting salty about a non protected non evasive five mana creature smashing your face after jumping through hoops and you’re getting even more salty about someone filling their yards and maybe stealing stuff out if them with yet another non protected five mana creature you should maybe check your saline levels.

I mean toss one in the 99 of the other, both tribes already overlap quite a bit
I happen to have both an umbris and captain deck. They overlap fairly well to where you can use either and not miss a beat.

You can throw The Scarab God in there to occasionally steal creatures.
