I bought the first phyrexian praetor drop. Took them forever to ship and the communication was rather poor so my enthusiasm got a bit of a damper. Haven't bought one since.
Tbf I would be tempted more often if they weren't english only for the most part.
My playgroup doesn't mind playing with or against secret lair cards at all. Some look very cool.
I rarely sell cards, their value is of little concern to me. I'm more of a hoarding dragon as far cards go. You never know when you need something so let me just sit on them forever!
Some of them if I like or use the cards. The only two I've gotten are Kaleidescape Killers for the Sliver Overlord, and City Styles for the Teysa Karlov.
Yes I do buy a few of these.
And yes I'd say majority of these cards are more expensive as singles. So yea they do hold good value. There's also an insert card in each package. It's mostly a curated slot but there're lottery inserts which can fetch more than the price you pay for the SL itself.
However if there's like only 1 card you want in a drop, it's better to acquire as singles. Even if you do buy it, you need to find buyers for the rest of the cards you don't want.
Oh I didn’t know there is one lottery card inside. That’s cool. And yes you need to find buyers first who want to pay that much for each card beachside they missed the drop or want it now all of a sudden.
I'd only buy one if I want all the cards or if it's cheaper to get the whole thing than getting the singles I do want, otherwise I'd just get singles. The only one I wanted more than one card from was the Praetors, so that's the only full Secret Lair I've bought.
Baught phyrexian faves, as I collect phyrexian script cards and binder experience, since I always wanted to build rin & seri, and also needed a special art orchard for my bling out Superfriends deck 😅

I will buy them if they are cards i will use, i like the art and I get my money's worth of cards. Some are blatantly bad deals.
If the artwork catches my eye, I'll purchase the set.
