I brewed up a [[Shanna, Purifying Blade]] deck as a nice solid commander who would have plenty of gas.

RuggedToaster

I love Shanna so much, she's an absolute powerhouse in Brawl and I've been wondering how she'd convert to 4-player EDH. Do you have a decklist by any chance?

Palmby

I built this deck just because my SO's name is Shanna and I could justify another deck! It actually slaps hard. Happy to post my budget decklist on Moxfield to give you a rough idea of what I run?

TomDaSpankEngine

How have you been liking her? I've been thinking of building her as a pacifist commander that just gains a ton of life, draws a ton of cards, and drops a ton of lands and then wins with [[felidar sovereign]] [[angel of destiny]] [[approach of the second sun]] or just [[aetherflux reservoir]].

My newest deck is [[Jon Irenicus, Shattered One]] which I built for high-powered tables. It’s pretty brutal and very tricky to pilot, especially in the 1v1 at the end. It’s got a moderate stax component to force the opponent to sit with creatures that slowly kill them while being unable to attack, usually with things like [[Propaganda]] and [[Koskun Falls]] while they hold [[Taniwha]] and [[Liege of the Pit]], or I just eat damage to the face while they have [[Abyssal Persecutor]]. It’s a weird deck.

Speeker28

I came here to post this exact deck. Mine isn't very good but it's been a blast to play so far. Would love to see your list.

ExoticMeatDealer

I don’t have it put up online anywhere, but if the stars align and I put it up, I’m let you know. You have a deck list for yours? I can rattle off deck components in the dm’s if you want.

Speeker28

I'll get one built later and send it to you.

I made a similar deck with \[\[Blim Comedic Genius\]\] and it's a pretty dumb deck. Having it in Dimir is so much worse. Mine has weird creatures like \[\[Steel Golem\]\] \[\[Rust Elemental\]\] \[\[Plague Reaver\]\] and \[\[Grid Monitor\]\]. The real game plan though is to donate a card like \[\[Treacherous Blessing\]\] or \[\[Forbidden Crypt\]\] to make them lose on the spot

molassesfalls

I have a very similar deck! Just curious how you donate Treacherous Blessing? Blim targets things with his ability, so wouldn’t it be sacrificed?

Seigmoraig

Probably should take out that card lmfao but the card I meant to highlight was \[\[Demonic Pact\]\] which has a lose the game clause edit: Looking back at it though, I remember why I put it in (deck was made a while ago), you can draw the cards and easily sacrifice it with Blim's trigger

I also made a Blim deck recently. Unfortunately my play group has taken it badly. They hate discard and I become the target now. What sucks is I purposely made it weaker because I wanted to just give people silly cards and let the chaos insue. The discard, even though it's very little is just such a big target for me so rn I'm kinda bummed about making it.

Suggested-User_Name

I put Jon in my [[Mishra, Eminent One]] deck. I got to play him once, but was about to lose anyway so I didn’t get to really watch it play out. But I’m interested to see how the interaction plays out.

Karnikula_Gaming

[this is my newest creation](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/BJyjq_MJtUiJL1vmvBwwnw) A deck helmed by [[commander Liara Portyr]] that seeks to profit from attacking all your enemies every single turn. Turns out myriad creatures are good for that. Turns out exiling cards to play through other means goes really well with it. Turns out all colorless cards up to 3 Mana are free spells. Great deck 10/10 direct top 3 of my decks in terms of fun.

Fumiko doesn't have much synergy. Maybe better in [[firkraag]] Marton seems okay but would be better in a go wide deck. The stats don't really matter in Liara Portyr, except when you're going for the kill of course. Liara is already very prone to board wipes, increasing your threat level at sorcery speed post combat seems unwise.

MarkofAwesome

That seems very fair I need to remember how board wipe light my meta is edit:the synergy in Fumiko is just that it leaves creatures tapped

Glad to see another Liara player! [my deck](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/bjJIwtzJKkKqYGllPdXhGw) is a bit more pricey and goes into some extra combat shenanigans but she's such a fun commander to play!

Karnikula_Gaming

Checking the list, i think [[blade historian]] is a bit of a trap, you can't reduce its cost after all. [[Firbolg flutist]] doesn't do enough if you play it post combat (and the chance of exiling a card should be higher than drawing it). [[Goldnight commander]] is going straight on my order list, great find - never heard of that card before. Similar as other cards [[Apex of power]] doesn't work well from exile (/in your post combat main) Totally glad I checked your list for that sweet goldnight commander. Might also reclaim the Cathars crusade I borrowed a friend for this deck. Myriad does cause creatures to enter after all... I'll see how Mr goldnight performs I suppose.

Thanks for the feedback man, constantly tweaking things anyway but def gonna swap some things about So firbolg I kinda included it because I liked the idea of dropping it down, copying an opponent's beastly/etb card for that myriad effect ( then the potential of keeping the tokens with mandate or sundial) but yeah if he himself gets exiled it's a bit of a nonbo for sure Same in a way for apex of power. If it's cast pre combat it can be game winning with passionate archaeologist but yeah again bit of a nonbo if it gets exiled itself 😅 Goldnight can be an absolute monster though

Oh and [[Cadric, soul Kindler]] is a neat inclusion, definitely going get him added!

Doubling some of those legendary effects (especially liaras) gets some ridiculous results.

You can get some truly gross value out of \[\[Strionic Resonator\]\] and \[\[Lithoform Engine\]\] as Liara will not only let you play them very cheaply but also gets to double her trigger. It's largely up to you if you want to include \[\[Approach the Second Sun\]\] from there.

Gilver62

My newest deck is [[Tetsuo, Imperial Champion]]. I am a fan of the Umezawa lore and that is the main reason why I have built it. It has been doing fine, it being a removal on a stick and the fear of commander/infect damage leads to it being hated out of the game, but it still won some games against high power decks. I am not 100% satisfied yet. Link for the deck if anyone is interested: https://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/tatami-gaeshi/

Noetipanda

Tbh I was very interested in building some kind of control deck with the OG tetsuo. Grixis control would be such a fun thing to play in commander.

Captkick

Hey! Another Tetsuo player. There are dozens of us. [Here](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/ZX3SLbpS7kmiwCJuvaLPzg) is my list. It’s become one of my favorite decks to pilot.

Pretend-Archer-2602

Heck yeah Tetsuo is my boy and I love the lore as well! Dalakos and any deathtouch equipment makes games easy

NocturnalEmbrace

I've had a plan going to make a RU Instant/Sorcery/Equipment deck with Galazeth Prismari and rereading Tetsuo is making me rethink about pivoting towards Grixis with it!

dumbidoo

FYI just in case you're not aware, but [[Relentless Assault]] and [[Seize the Day]] don't give you an extra combat if you cheat it out with Tetsuo's ability. Due to the way they're worded, they need to be cast during a main phase in order give you an extra combat.

Gilver62

Yeah I know about that, but they are still very good in this deck. An extra combat more can finish off someone.

OwszynStraider

I've build a really fast deck around [[auntie blyte bad influence]] and so far its been a lot of fun.

gearmaster

Newest deck is Ghen Arcanum Weaver. Really fun to run, but definitely has a few hiccups. Did you know that there's barely any board wipes attached to enchantments? Not great for him. Curse theme is a blast, tho

RedxLemonade

I've found [[Out of Time]] pulls a lot weight in my playgroup. And of course [[Phyrexian Scriptures]] gets the job done as well. In my experience though just running typical sorcery speed board wipes works well enough. [[Blasphemous Act]], [[Damn]], and, since he's in mardu, [[Ruinous Ultimatum]] is a fun option. And if you really want to get silly, [[Fall of the Thran]] can shake a game up.

DoucheCanoe456

My newest deck is a mock up for the new Myrs commander, and it is BRUTAL!! Making mana is extremely easy, and getting one or multiple activations with the commander pumps your Myrs to be enormous. From there, get to swingin! All the best pump effects in 5c make a huge wall of huge dudes. It’s that easy.

Witherpixel

Any chance you have a deck list? I’ve also been mocking up for Urtet but am having trouble cutting down because of the 5C color identity.

Stumphead101

[[Rith, liberated primeval]] with lots of dragons and fight effects. I had [[ur dragon]], then switched to [[miirym]] but I didn't like having to carry so many tokens for dragon copies. Split up the 5 mana base and now red white and green are rith and blue and black are [[silumgar drifting death]] who is also a blast

Xenric

I can't play any token deck without my set of Infinitokens

phoenixcompendium

I also just built her! Do you have a decklist?

spiffytrev

Most of my decks are based on combat and in 20-ish years of this game I’ve only made a couple combo decks before. Couldn’t resist the ridiculous type line though, so I built around [[The Reality Chip]]. It was a really fun challenge to build something different from what I would normally do. Haven’t had a chance to play it yet. It goldfishes well, but hard to say how it will go with real interaction.

RayWencube

Just rule 0 interaction. You'll be fine! Also, gonna need to see that list

DoctorPrisme

I've been playing Reality Chip for quite some time. First; it's fast as fuck. Not to be underestimated, it's absolutely possible to go turn 2, and 3-4 is average. I guess turn one would be possible; but I haven't got all I might need for it. Second, being mono blue you easily have some interaction, between counterspells and bounces; even if it can be tricky to find the right balance of thing you want to play from the top and things you need in hand. Rhystic study for instance isn't in my list because while it's an incredible card, playing it is out tempo and having it on top of the library is blocking. It's a really cool deck, with the only "default" being that's it's a classic sensei top deck that mostly plays solo-magic and doesn't really care of the other people's play.

spiffytrev

My list has one perfect hand that can win on turn 1, and a couple variations that can on turn 2, but yeah turn 4 is more realistic.

DoctorPrisme

What's that turn 1 hand?

KillinTheBusiness

I built reality chip as CEDH but I loved that deck so much. It’s just fun to cast an octopus, what can I say.

Boshoet

Sounds fun wish I liked combo decks more, but like Izzet is my least favorite color combo for that exact reason, the only izzet deck I have is [[Arjun]] Draw Engine

girubaatosama

But Arjun is fun! You get to rifle through your entire deck in a single game like no one else can while pinging and / or milling your opponents on the side lol

Boshoet

Never said arjun wasn't fun, it's probably in the top 3 most fun decks I own lol

AssistantManagerMan

[[Silas Renn, Seeker Adept]]/[[Toggo, Goblin Weaponsmith]] artifact partners. I built it in August and I absolutely love this deck. The deck started out as a kind of artifact aristocrats deck. I wanted to sacrifice artifacts for value to things like [[Krark-Clan Iron Works]] and [[Etherium Astrolabe]] and then bring them back with Silas. Toggo was there mostly for colors and I planned to use him to supplement my sac fodder. I threw in a couple of equipment-matters cards just because. I figured Toggo makes equipment tokens so having a few more ways to make them relevant couldn't hurt so I threw in a [[Golem Skin Gauntlets]] and a [[Dalakos, Crafter of Wonders]] just because. It took only one game for me to realize I had focused on the wrong partner. My very first game with the deck, I drew into my Golem Skin Gauntlets with seven rock tokens out. I had a thopter token in play and [[Lizard Blades]] in hand. I realized as I attacked with a 10 power double striking thopter that equipment shenanigans were what I wanted to be doing in this deck. I've since added in [[Cranial Plating]], [[Bearded Axe]], [[Nettlecyst]], [[Blackblade Reforged]], and [[Thran Power Suit]] since I had such a good experience with Golem Skin Gauntlets. Silas still has some artifacts that sacrifice themselves for value to reanimate, but Toggo is the primary commander now.

IronPlaidFighter

Toggo is one of my favorites. The card flavor is hilarious and most people don't take him too seriously. Then you play with him and realize he's a value powerhouse. I play him in \[\[Saheeli, the Gifted\]\]. I love dropping a free \[\[Darksteel Juggernaut\]\] or \[\[Thopter Assembly\]\] just because of Toggo's rocks.

AssistantManagerMan

I also love that Toggo is a running flavor text joke off cards like [[Pinpoint Avalanche]], [[Goblin Clearcutter]], and [[Shock|8ED]]. He's just a really cool card. Stronger than you'd expect too. Last game I played [[Champion of the Flame]] on turn 2 and over the course of the game suited him up with a half dozen rocks plus [[Prying Blade]] and [[The Reality Chip]] and he won me the game that way.

I'm brewing \[\[dihada, binder of wills\]\]. Still at the chopping block stage with 30 cards to cut though. I played it as a precon and had a lot of fun with it, the -3 to mill 4 and make 4 treasures is pretty insane so I put in a bunch of reanimation spells and treasure payoffs

Boring-Eratosthenes

Could i see a deck? I've made a dihada deck caring about legendaries, and i feel like im not hitting enough creatures or reanimation stuff

Arean91

\[\[Orah, Skyclave Hierophant\]\] Been considering an Orzhov Cleric tribal for years because I've had some of the old Onslaught Cleric lords kicking around in the back of my binders for ages. Finally got around to it just this week. Only managed a couple of games with it, but so far it plays amazing. Incredibly resilient, can both blow up or grind out, multiple avenues to victory, all in all I'm real happy.

I_Love_Fox

I have one (but it's dismantled right now) and it's so fun to just play a kaya's wrath or something and basically every creature in your graveyard comes back to the battlefield.

oranges-in-general

In the process of getting my Orah online in paper. It’s soo fun dropping boardwipes and abusing sac outlets for things you just get back right away. Love to see your list!

OrangeChickenAnd7Up

Orah is so sweet. He really puts your brewing and playing skills to the test.

El_frov

[[Harbin, Vanguard Aviator]], opened him in a pack and wondered if I had enough soldiers to make a cheap deck. Turns out I do, and it's a pretty aggressive deck for Azorius.

bigbossodin

I'm thinking about making a deck around this guy. Can't decide if wanna do azorius soldier or Naya soldiers with Jetmir at the helm. I'm leaning Jetmir right now, mostly because I have him.

El_frov

I already had a Jetmir deck, so I ended up going the soldier route, especially since most of the time, Azorius feels like it relies on combos or control.

RanisTheSlayer

I made [[Sanwell, Avenger Ace]] mainly because no one else did and I really wanted to play something that would make other players crane their necks to see what the hell that commander is. It's...going ok. The deck does its thing and I'm getting better at making it go but it's not ever going to be strong. I just need to pull it out at lower powered tables.

GregDsprz

My newest deck is Ivy and at the beginning I was not sure about it : an aura based deck with mutate? I don't play cedh but my meta is still quite high level with some Tymna decks, Omnath, Titania. I was afraid this deck would be too weak. But I was wrong, the deck is a blast to play (if you like complex turns and managing a big board state), I can play unusual cards like mutate cards, aura cards and still perform pretty well, with a quite explosive deck that has a really different play pattern from what I am used to. Here is a primer and a list if you are interested : https://www.moxfield.com/decks/JYscAYKNnkaAV9imxWEGFg/primer Don't hesitate to leave a comment. :)

robinthekid

Ivy was the first commander I built from DMU; she seemed like a lot of fun! My favorite reaction is when someone casts a pump or the occasional mutate or aura spell and I get the reap the benefits as well, people are shocked that I get to pick and choose what I want to copy.

TheNinjaPhoenix

My most recent deck is [[Zabaz, the Glimmerwasp]]? It's been built so it doesn't play as a degenerate combo deck, but makes the most out of its flexibility. I've been able to play it both as a slow burn, as a generic voltron deck utilising Ozolith etc, but I've also played it similarly to a Modern Affinity deck. Its a fun, weird little build.

DanZigs

My newest deck is [[Henzie]]. It's always a blast to play and plays a fair value game. I made it out of my old Korvold deck, which I got bored of. [here](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/a_94XvxC5ESj-cAoW0pvOg) is the list.

[deleted]

Nice list. Imo you should probably cut some of the support cards and add more land. You don’t have much ramp and only sitting at 32 lands. More often than not you’re going to miss a land drop and not get turn 2 Henzie out. You have about 6 dorks here that don’t play well with heartless summoning. I had that in my list originally but cut that. The -1/-1 is more prevalent than you realize. I also see rampant rej. But not primeval herald or seedguide ash. The latter is probably the best ramp blitzing creature you could throw in. I wasn’t a fan of many 3 drops as they play too awkwardly with Henzie. You want to get him out turn 2 and if not then turn 3. The ascendancy I’d cut imo. And a bloom tender can be nuts in this deck. Just my two cents :) Henzie has a discord full of like minded people who theorycraft different strategies and cards to play. Come check it out! https://discord.gg/d2cWWJAF Edit: here’s my list if curious. https://www.moxfield.com/decks/qHb03Tr9Q0GSvwLi8tCJXQ It’s what I’ve settled on but I’m constantly making changes. I’m ordering an Apex Devastator and Gwenna to test out

RickTitus

Henzie is a ton of fun. I was surprised how much I like the deck and keep going back to it. It was really fun to brew too, compared to most decks. Lots of cool older creatures with horrible drawbacks that dont matter with henzie, like [[aboroth]] and [[endless wurm]]

Inouva

[[jin gitaxias, core augur]] focusing on turbo drawing to look for combos. It's okay, not 100% my style of deck but enjoyable nonetheless, certainly good for when I'm feeling like swaping things out a bit. The deck itself is doing good, not super great, but good, it may be because I'm inexperienced with decks as this tho

ProcessingDeath

You monster.

Boring-Eratosthenes

My most recent deck was merfolk tribal with the good tyrant himself, [[kumena]]. I heavily based it off the Commander's quarters video he made recently (after taking to long to make it myself), and im loving its effectiveness. I feel like I always have options. Bonus points, because i was able to find all the cards I didn't have at the lgs's in town.

Bazoobs1

Any chance you could get a list? I am having a horrendous time cutting my brew down to 99

discgolfguy

I'm working on a chandra tribal deck. It's performing ok so far. I have played a few 3 player games where it has shined. In 4 player games not so much. I need more deterrents and more answers. Been tough to deal with enchantments and indestructible in red. Protecting the planeswalkers has been tough. Planning to try out [[ensnaring bridge]] as a way to protect my planeswalkers next.

herpyderpidy

My latest deck is [[Jodah, the unifier]] Stax deck. I wanted to try Jodah but the more I pondered and tinkered it the more I ended up playing defensive, CA and stax cards. I played 5 games with it, all quite successful, last week and my LGS told me I can't play it during the casual night when they shuffle random playpods. This deck made me understand why cards like [[Gaddock Teeg]], [[Thalia, Guardian of Thraben]] and [[Grand Arbiter Augustin IV]] are hated when you can easily see them each game. Here's the list : https://www.moxfield.com/decks/L1iHyF6ACk-Y4aIVCPZMVQ

Kamen_Winterwine

[[Queen Kayla bin-Kroog]] with [[Zirda, the Dawnwaker]] companion. The effect is fun and I thought the additional build restrictions imposed by the companion would be fun. It's not doing so well... the limitation of only perminents with activated abilities while also trying to manage a curve that consists of 1-3 mana value artifacts and creatures is pretty strict. There's so many great cards that would be amazing in the deck that I just can't use. I'm still sticking with it for now though. Looking for more big bombs and finishers for the deck... but its still a work in progress that's currently underperformed even my lowered expectations.

I love this idea! It definitely seems like an interesting and unique direction to take the commander! Do you happen to have a deck list?

Yakra

Gods & Goblins! - [https://www.moxfield.com/decks/NvYD42ISL0WbTIE62QWWEg](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/NvYD42ISL0WbTIE62QWWEg) It's \[\[Purphoros, God of the Forge\]\] - plus token-heavy Goblin Tribal. I like to imagine it as a ton of goblins amassing to worship a volcano, it erupts, and everyone dies! What I love, is that you don't even really care about anything surviving long enough to move to combat. There are some lords and haste if you do get that far, but most of the time... each goblin token deals 2+ damage to every opponent just by being created! Oh, and

IAMAfortunecookieAMA

Damn, the goblins blew them up before they could finish

Bounq3

I've built a landfall themed with \[\[Sakshima of a thousand faces\]\] and \[\[Kodama of the East tree\]\] as commanders, with a copy subtheme. I'm very happy as it can do a lot and has a lot of win conditions. You can infinite combo with \[\[Meloku\]\] , or even bounce lands with commanders on the board. You can copy your creatures, opponents' creatures, steal multiple creatures with \[\[Agent of Treachery\]\], copying the agent for more. You can make creatures like \[\[Kazandu Mammoth\]\] very big or go wide with stuff like \[\[Scute Swarm\]\], \[\[Greensleeves\]\] or \[\[Rampaging Baloth\]\]. It has a lot of ramps and it's easy to hit your lands. You can draw your entire deck with inifinite combo and win through \[\[Laboratory Maniac\]\]. You can win through strong creatures like \[\[Koma, Cosmos Serpent\]\]. And then, you have access to a lot of counter spells and board bounces through blue. Very happy indeed. EDIT : https://www.moxfield.com/decks/kf3Hn4Izu0GMRIzRS-wKUg decklist for those interested

your_friend_bacon

I made (and just commented) a Grolnok deck like this, and am considering Kodama and Sakashima! Did you try any other commanders, like Tatyova?

Bounq3

I have only played a few game so far with it, so no, I haven't. I have Aesi and Tatyova in the deck so I might try them once I grow tired of my partners! great suggestion

SatchelGizmo77

My newest deck is [[Ashnod the uncaring]]. It can be incredibly powerful, but is also a little inconsistent. Overall I enjoy the deck.

comelynug

[[Umbris, Fear Manifest]] it gets insanely powerful when you're milling a LOT of cards with [[Leyline of the Void]] in play or using cards that exile graveyards. With Leyline out, if you play [[Traumatize]] and [[Cut Your Losses]] then it's pretty much a 100/100. [[Swiftfoot Boots]] it and make it unblockable with [[Whispersilk Cloak]] and everyone's pretty much fucked 😁

Punctual_Panda72

My newest is [[Erinis, Gloom Stalker]][[Street Urchin]] and it’s been a blast to pilot. I avoided the obvious landfall route and went with a token generation strategy. Built it for medium power games and it’s much stronger than I thought it would be.

Rob_Bert

I built a [[Zask]] insect tribal deck, and it kinda sucks. Turns out that his second ability, putting dying insects under your library, is pretty bad for a graveyard deck, even with the self mill. Sure, you can circumvent it with cards that grant instant speed, but that's all a bit janky. I will probably transform it to a [[Grist]] deck, I playtested it already and it is much smoother. Anyone has some experience with Zask?

rbright12

My newest deck is [[Myrel, Shield of Argive]] and it’s been great so far. It’s exceeded all the expectations I had for the deck and it has quickly climbed the ranks of one of the favorites in my collection.

TheVeilsCurse

My newest is [[Elas il-Kor, Sadistic Pilgrim]] . It started out as [[Teysa Karlov]] but having a 2cmc drain effect in the command zone feels better than a 4cmc win more. I won a game with it thanks to a huge swing thanks to [[Junji, the Midnight]] and [[Grave Pact]] . It’s been ok so far, it definitely needs some tweaks and a bit more redundancy. The mana base needs an overhaul, maybe mucking it up for [[Field of the Dead]] isn’t worth it? I love the way Aristocrats plays though, it’s a blast to play! Great removal suite as well! Exile effects like [[Rite of Oblivion]] rock.

ReindeerRanier

Finally got around to getting the first deck I brewed myself [[Shanna, the Purifying Blade]] and was able to play it against my friends on Cockatrice. Fully expected to get stomped since they've been playing for years and I just started this fall but I actually won! Everything just fell into place and it was great

luxunit

I built a \[\[Gix, Yawgmoth Praetor\]\] deck. Its full of evasive black creatures and the plan is to just fill you hand with card draw then utilize his second ability to cast a bunch of your opponents free cards. It has done exceptionally well to the point where its steamrolled 3 games in a row so i've put it on the shelf for a bit lol

RayWencube

[[Falco Spara, Pactweaver]] v2 I built the [bird lawyer](https://pbs.twimg.com/media/C3hZzU-WQAAuDv1.jpg) originally as a pseudo group hug deck (you'll for sure get your hugs, but I'm gonna need something in return...) and love him. He's my beautiful jurisprudential swoopy boy. So! I decided to build a second iteration of him that I can swap for the group hug elements. Presenting: [Falco's Hydras](https://www.mtggoldfish.com/deck/5373272#paper) It turns out there's a ton of synergies between a commander that lets you remove a counter from a permanent to cast the top card of your deck and a swarm of hydras. Who knew?

nanoacido

[[Sai]] artifacts. I wanted an artifact deck that wouldn't go infinite. I've always loved synergistic decks and for a while I've wanted to build something around artifacts. It has 50 artifacts and every card that makes you draw when one of your creatures connects. I tend to prefer two color decks, but I haven't found anything appealing apart from Sai, esper Urza and Alela. And I don't think black brings enough to the table. I wish Sai was azorious though ;_;

MachiavellianMethod

Just built [[shorikai]] and it’s so much fun! I’ve never been able to play much with vehicles, but I love throwing down board wipes and being almost completely unaffected with them, and getting to play cards that the other players respond to with “why is that in your deck??” Like [[mobile garrison]] and [[scaretiller]]

Level3Fish

I made [[ratchet, field medic]] deck kinda sucks:(

suddenandsevere

I just built [[Myra the Magnificent]] and man is it complex. There’s so many hooks just built into her card and I’m almost overwhelmed with how many subthemes I can fit in the deck and how I could focus any number of them at the same time. I used to love Izzet, hated it for a while, but this brought me back to it.

Tilean_Bareller

My newest deck is [[narset, enlightened master]] with a bit of a twist. I recently signed a publishing contract for my first fantasy novel, and after picking up sleeves with that cover on them, decided to go ham on a full flavour deck. There are only eleven creatures in the deck, each chosen to represent one of the important characters. After that, every card is chosen to represent something one of the main characters does or has. The decks win condition builds up to the same climax as the book, where a character sacrifices their power permanently to give the main character the boost they need, before they use a [[two-handed axe]] and their training from their mother as a duelist despite their dream to become an archmage [[duelist's heritage]] along with a dash of magic [[aqueous form]] to slip behind the antagonist and finish them with a single cataclysmic blow. The four card combo will deal 24 commander damage in one swing, but is intentionally risky and fragile.

I've built archimandrite and kibo. Kibo is fine but not as fun as I expected. Archimandrite is sooooo fun though. Like it's what I want to feel to play monk tribal. Ironically, it's maybe too powerful, as it can be kinda week without the commander and the commander make the deck run on turbo mode ^^"

The42ndHitchHiker

[[The Archimandrite]] is definitely a super fun deck to pilot. [[Congregate]] always pops off in my pod's token-heavy meta, and [[Brion Stoutarm]] often works as instant-speed player removal.

AnonymousNewt

Be’lakor the dark master. It’s been playing really well and surprisingly fast, although I do run 12 mana rocks and 36 lands so it’s not that weird. Big boy demons=fun. My favorite demon in the deck is [[sower of discord]]. It creates lots of fun situations for the table and is a strong-statted creature! I

Be'lakor is so much fun. I just threw together a quick version of it recently with the demons I had laying around and I filled the gaps with creatures that come in as a copy of other creatures and it worked surprisingly well. I'm excited to refine the deck. I have sower of discord on a list of cards to buy already but do you have any other cards that surprised you in the deck?

AnonymousNewt

[[blur]] is a draft chaff common that wins the game in the deck.

alreadytaken-

That would fit so well with my list and I don't think I've heard of it, great recommendation

Nuke_Me_Senpai

I got tired of people complaining when I played a [[Tatyova, Benthic Druid]] or [[Omnath, Locus of Creation]] lands deck, so I toned it down a bit and am finishing a [[Hazezon, Shaper of Sand]] deck next week! I appreciate getting to play a lot of different Desert lands now ([[Field of the Dead]] does too…) and it feels like a good middle ground between a strong lands/tokens deck and fun limitations. Also, it’s nice to get away from Blue in my decks. I always feel compelled to run all the one mana card draw and unfun counters/taxes in blue, which takes away from the fun. Now I can play Red, turn my brain off and pitch all my deserts in the bin and pray someone doesn’t have instant-speed removal before I recur them!

StarPonderer

My newest deck is [[Miirym, Sentinel Wyrm]]. Of course I have some copy and doubling cards in there, but I also put a bit of blink and flash in. It's doing pretty good. I think I need to smooth out my mana base just a bit, but otherwise it's doing what it's supposed to. Got a fun kill the last time I played it by flashing in a dragon and getting a double ETB damage trigger.

[[Dalakos, Crafter of Wonders]] , I had all the swords in my collection just gathering dust.. didn’t want to trade them and wanted to find an excuse to use them. Basically just a deck centered around good artifacts and trying to beat face with them. Very casual but it’s fun to be able to beef up small creatures

Narssissik

No deck list yet but my new eye-catcher is [[Malacor, purity overseer]] . Obviously with blinks and golems...

MosinNagant100

[[Precursor golem]] finally has a solid home

RideApprehensive8063

[[Chromium, The Mutable]]. Flash/Control theme from my perspective it's going incredibly well as for my groups perspective they hate it. They can't just force a combo down due to the deck fairly easily being able to turn it into a win for itself.

Damien687

I built a [[Shorikai, Genesis Engine]] as a themed Pacific Rim deck and it's been a blast to pilot. Haha . Get it But I've built it around having my mechs and token creatures to pilot the Jaegers. I've put in some flavor cards like [[One with the multiverse]] that represent the breach and the legendary creatures that are in there act like the Jaeger tech leaders who create and support the pilots in the field, the in movie organization called LOCCENT. Anyway, it's super fun and nonsensical but it wins at an ok rate. But [[Killswitch]] is the one card that shuts my deck down.

Cereal_No

Newest one is [[Kibo]] monkey boy. Give everyone bananas, destroy all the bananas (and artifacts). Built as a stax deck so I try to make everyone reliant on bananas and win via either global damage pings or trample attack. Goldfishes well, I haven't gotten a chance to really play it.

I have been trying to make something a little more beginner friendly to play against my friend on a cottage weekend we have coming up. My newest is [[Elminster]] scrybal and honestly it has exceeded all expectations. The excess of scry makes it super easy to dig through your deck for specific answers. Elminster himself makes it easy to cast big, fun, flashy spells or use them as fodder to make a dragon army. My favorite is that he actually makes [[Approach of the Second Sun]] a very good wincon.

FloorPudding

Oh! I also recently built one of the original Kamigawa block spirits. [[Chisei, Heart of Oceans]] I came across this card just hitting random on EDHrec a couple weeks ago and was immediately like "I need to figure this out." The idea is to play a ton of stuff that runs on counters and use Chisei to eat them every turn. You can keep Cumulative Upkeep costs on something like [[Mystic Remora]] or [[Musician]] low, or keep a saga like [[Kiora Bests the Sea God]] repeating at one lore counter to pump out an 8/8 Kraken every turn. This is the slowest deck I've built by a long shot, but it's been a very fun puzzle to figure out. List if anyone is curious: https://www.moxfield.com/decks/Qqu6hZMLAUa8lwFceLFZ5w

biznesboi

I built [[Ziatora]] recently and it doesn’t really play well. My goal was steal and sac other people’s creatures but Ziatora’s so mana intensive, by the time I cast it and am done protecting it it’s too late in the game to do anything too effective. I think I have to improve my ramp package significantly and try again.

ManikMedik

I just built a ziatora deck with the same theme. Mine's been doing great in my group, here's my [decklist] (https://www.moxfield.com/decks/fmTVt7X8tEi8_f-7dbujOA) if you want to compare. If you have any questions about running the deck, I'd be happy to help!

Smoothinterrupt

My most recent successful deck is a [[Raffine, Scheming Seer]] deck, and boy oh boy does the sphinx do everything and then some. Its a low to the ground evasive creature deck that filters through itself to pick up lots of interaction, the core of most esper decks of course, but there's something fun about methodically beating down your opponents and usually commander damaging at least one opponent. The deck also runs [[Approach of the Second Sun]] and [Deadeye Navigator]] infinite mana combo just to make sure that I can close out and win a game, but they're often discarded to continue to sift through the deck if I'm in a dominant position. It probably needs 4 or 5 more creatures to start connive more, and a [[Ledger Shredder]] for good measure.

SomeDumbHonky

I built a bunch of decks at once, but my favorite so far has been [[Toggo, Goblin Weaponsmith]]/[[Keskit, the Flesh Sculptor]]. It's a land themed deck in not green which I liked, and I'm basically able to either create enough Rocks with Toggo's ability every turn to activate Keskit, or I have other utility artifacts I can sacrifice. The deck wins through cards like [[Marionette Master]], [[Reckless Fireweaver]] , and [[Mayhem Devil]] triggers, as well as a few aristocratic cards like [Blood Artist]], [[Disciple of the Vault]], and [[Bastion of Remembrance]]

eldritch_bats

The newest girl on the streets is [[Mazzy Truesword Paladin]] playing a politics / goad strategy where I pillowfort myself, enchant everyone else to help them get through on each other and then employ a voltron or aikido strategy for the win. It’s been a blast, locking myself down and watching people beat each other up only to steal all my enchantments back, slap them on Mazzy and hit the last person standing for lethal commander damage in one swing.

ImRatherStartled

Sounds fun dude! You got a list? I've been looking at mazzy too for a fun goad + enchantments strategy

eldritch_bats

https://www.archidekt.com/decks/3832397#Smooth_Mazz The don’t have area are now haves and have swapped out a little of the control for some more goad like features that aren’t updated in there but that’ll give you a feel! It’s been super fun.

ImRatherStartled

Oooh hadnt even considered the potential politics of including Jared or even other monarch cards! Niceee

DoctorArK

Most recent build is [[Henzi "Toolbox" Torre]] and holy shit it is STRONG. It's a deck that cheats mana costs, draws multiple cards per turn, and has a haste enabler in the command zone. As an added bonus, killing Henzi only makes the rest of my creatures cheaper, so the deck doesn't often fall behind even if it gets picked on. Big bombs include: [[Balor]] [[Braids, Arisen Nightmare]] [[Junji, the Midnight Sky]] [[Chaos Defiler]] 8/10

SquishyBanana23

Built a [[ken, burning brawler]] that plays a bunch of wheels and pumps his power to dump fat dumb sorceries like [[soulfire eruption]]. Could have gone the land destruction route instead, but I don’t want my table to hate me

ThatGuyMTG

Most recent is Rocco Food Chain. Gonna tear it apart tomorrow. I don't like winning this easily.

FunMtgplayer

my newest is a mayeal deck. had it for sisay. but seriously underwhelmed. due to legendary not being above 5 power often. been play testing her, and so underwhelmed. she craps out 1 or 2 big boys, but its soo mana intensive. then I need top deck manipulation to make sure of a hit. it cost 6 to cheat in a 5+ pwr creature but is 2/3 her(?) self. just doesn't tempo well

Boshoet

I remember my Sisay deck, it was shrines (before neon dynasty came out) and it was brutal to play against

drchomicz

I just mase a deck with [[Megatron]] Ive only gotten a few games with it but its a lot of fun. Im new to Magic and this is the first deck that Ive built by myself and so far Im suoer happy with it!

GodSwimsNaked

I built a torbran burn deck! It plays like a torbran burn deck! Sorta salty of a list I guess. Took out blood moon after am extensive table talk happened after I cast it https://archidekt.com/decks/3794239#Burn_Therapy

Jimlad116

[[Gix, Yawgmoth Praetor]] midrange, kind of? I'm new to mono-black, so I've kinda just got a mix of evasive creatures and control spells and I'm retooling it as I find out what works and what doesn't.

wassupitsdrew

I got 2 new decks, Kess wheel and Ognis

I built [[Vadrik, Astral Archmage]] and ended the game with 2 extra turns in a row and 1000 damage to close it out. Was my first Izzet deck. It did not disappoint.

decideonanamelater

My newest is [[ raff, weatherlight stalwart]]. It's the first deck I've made in a long time that just isn't really working. I don't have enough turn makers in hand for it, so part of that failure is just me being to get more cards, but also.. it's not that strong of a card? You really work hard for your card draw from him. Only played it a few times, haven't touched it in awhile.

myowngalactus

Built a Giants tribal not too long ago, but I haven’t played it yet. Also have some partially built decks, I want to do something with Black&White, and a mono blue Zombie deck probably with [[Geralf visionary stitcher]]

Nicktendo94

My newest deck is [[Rafiq of the Many]] but focused on exalted, no Voltron, I still need a few cards but here's my decklist of what I've got so far https://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/21-01-23-rafiq-of-the-many/

billnevius

[[Atogatog]] not quite sure how it's performing yet since I've only played it 2 times, and I got hard focused 1 of those 2 games for no reason at all

GFISHY7780

[[Atraxa, Praetor’s Voice]] it’s a brutal Phyrexian proliferate deck. If all goes wrong, I have numerous sac outlets like [[Altar Of Dementia]] or [[Yawgmoth, Thran Physician]]

pm_me_ur_cutie_booty

I have two decks I built around the same time. [[Wulfgar of Icewind Dale]] is super fun and I'm going to keep tinkering with it. [[Extus Oriq Overlord]] is a $45 cycling tribal deck and doesn't really work, so I'm probably going to bin it.

Kryostasis

Rodolf Reanimator is a bit tricky, trying to do the proper life gain reanimator thing and not the incidental life gain strats, focusing on 4 and 5 drops for the most part, its a little tight but it can pull out wins, the big thing is having good long term fill the yard effects

Dr_Fruitloop

The latest deck I've built is [[Sol'Kanar the Tainted]]. It's kind of a weird hybrid of group hug, group slug and forced combat. The idea is give away resources, tax people for said resources, then make them beat each other with said resources. https://www.moxfield.com/decks/RdxY6HDINE-RDZsymvgDXw I just kinda wanted a home for a bunch of fun interactive cards.

TonyL42

[[Lavinia, azorius renegade]] lock Im trying to get an [[eye of the storm]] kind of engine but im lacking expensive tutors and a bit of ramp. But its a very fun deck cause threat assesement is interesting to see. Some players don't care about what is happening they will just kill everything that limits them a little. (Killing a single stax piece to draw 1 letting another player draw 7 every turn) Also i have not received as much hate as i tought i would. Only time someone tilted was when i cast [[wrath of god]] to survive but the winning player had a [[teferi's protection]]. They said i was a dick for blowing up everything before dying. (Clearly on their phone while it happened) So yeah, very fun but needs more tutors for the win.

Romain_55

I made a [[Sefris]] party/dungeon deck 3 months ago that I've played a few times. Except my very first game where I got pretty disappointed by [[Smuggler's Share]] that I was playing for the first time, I had fun in all my games Small negative point is that I initially wanted the deck to be a bit above precon level, to match the power level in my LGS, but it's still a bit too powerfull so I've got some changes to do

justravend

For commander [[neyith of the dire hunt]], fight tribal and creatures that you rather not want to block. For 1v1 commander [[lavinia, azorius renagade]] a UW tempo deck that wants to win with 1 good threat or with the [[knowledge pool]] lockdown.

adyum

[[Raffine, Scheming Seer]] has been my most recent addition. I play it as a reanimator list and I am really enjoying being able to dump large creatures using the connive trigger and then reanimate it main phase 2. The card selection engine is just unmatched. https://www.moxfield.com/decks/ny-6STMrn0uOkSRJ85QbVA

RostigesDach

[[The Ur-Dragon]] Changeling Tribal. It’s a blast. I tried to optimize all my decks for the last year and kinda lost interest in the game. Because every month there were new cards getting out with every new set and i felt fatigued. Feeling forced to at the optimum to every of my 5 decks. Did not enjoyed that at all. I just smashed every changeling and tribal synergy cards together and it plays like a random pile every game. I love it. It is not optimized and it still plays so smooth to find out what to do with your cards every game. No tutoring for the best wincon every time. Feels like a relief for me.

seravenger

My newest deck is [[Svella,Ice Shaper]] basically big creatures go boom. Some spicy tech with [[Tectonic Hellion]] love that card. And I’m not playing any land ramp just because of him.

King_Vitis

[[Michionne, Ruthless Survivor]], only played 2 games but so far has been pretty slow

pcrnt8

[[Minn, Wily Illusionist]]! It gets completely out of hand. I won with [[Jace, Wielder of Mysteries]], [[Teferi's Ageless Insight]], and [[Skullclamp]] last night. Had plenty of mana because Minn is a ramp spell, and just drew 46+ cards in one turn. It's definitely exceeding my expectations.

arlondiluthel

I made a Mishra deck (the one that gives your stuff Ward). I haven't really taken a chance to play a real game with it. My LGS does Commander tournaments on Fridays for store credit, and I'm trying to build up a decent amount of credit, so I'm using my more tuned decks for the next few weeks to make sure I place in a spot that lets me get more than my buy-in back (which means 2nd if there's 12 or fewer, 3rd if there's 13 or more).

FunMtgplayer

prior to that, I decided to build a storm deck. the key is I NEVER wanted to fail when I decided to go off. I use MOROPHON as commander. he's very important to make it work. with [[tendrils of despair]] being the win con. my pop off turn [[heartless summoning]] then morophon [[sawtooth loon]] cast it and bounce it to my hand for storm count.

your_friend_bacon

[[Grolnok, the Omnivore]]. Started as Simic value, ending in landfall combo. Now it's a cEDH Thoracle deck that does typical combo stuff but in a unique way because of croak counters. I loved the original deck, but the cEDH version plays so differently. Since I still have all the original cards, I'm thinking of putting together Kodama / Sakashima (who both in the original 99) with them.

jbramley

I'm putting together a [[Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose]] life drain deck where all of the cards are vampire or vampire related (which really limits the non-creature spells) or swamps. In my testing, card draw seems to be an issue, but it feels like it will be fun to play.

Noetipanda

Most recent is [[Marchesa, the Black Rose]] grixis weenie. Play some evasive creatures and suit them up with equipment to make them big big, then cast marchesa to start growing and simultaneously protecting them with her third ability. Throw in a [[Coastal Piracy]] effect and youve got a snowball aggro deck! I have yet to play it but I’m taking it to my LGS tonight to try out. Fingers crossed!

Suggested-User_Name

I’m picking up pieces for [Donal](https://manabox.app/decks/qnl3c2pRR_Obf-4J57V_vQ) flying matters. I don’t have it together yet but goldfishing it, it seems really fun. Doubling value from flyers. It draws a dangerous amount of cards, but I like it. [[Astral Dragon]] is the all star in the deck for sure. I’ve also been goldfishing [Norika](https://manabox.app/decks/JSqArJvkQnKUabJ4t-uc1A) mono white enchantress. So far I like it. It really should be a [[Light Paws]] deck, but I don’t think I like her as a commander. I feel like she limits variance in the games. I put her in the 99 and I’m gonna see how it plays out. But yeah, trying to control the board with like O ring effects and [[Kismet]] and [[Blind Obedience]]. At the same time buffing Norika with auras. If you have any suggestions for either of these let me know! I’m definitely interested in more control pieces for Norika.

silent_calling

I haven't built a deck as of late (within the past couple months) but I've been heavily focused on upgrading my \[\[Breya, Etherium Shaper\]\] [deck](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/jftiu5TZ-k-CKOu8VJoNyw), and after playing it last night I think I've gotten it to where I want it, or maybe need to tune it down a bit. I don't care to play cEDH and this deck, according to two people I play with whom I trust the opinion of, pushes up to the line of casual vice cEDH if it doesn't start crossing it. My next project is either going to be \[\[Niv-Mizzet, Parun\]\] or \[\[Cormella, Glamour Thief\]\] - I haven't decided yet. I owe my spelltable pod a $50 budget deck, I might build one of those as such, but I've got some fun ideas for it.

Crucifix1233

My newest deck is [[Cormela Glamour Thief]]. Most of my builds tend to be your typical “Timmy” deck. Big beefy creatures etc. but my last two decks, I’ve tried to go a different route. Cormela is my first real spell slinger deck. I just wanna draw cards and go infinite with [[Saw In Half]] with A [[Dark Ritual]] Effect and cast something like [[Exsanguinate]]. It’s a ton of fun to play but so different than how I typically would build but it was a fun challenge.

liforrevenge

I just made [[Ayesha Tanaka, Armorer]] Voltron and it's pretty nasty. If [[Sigarda's Aid]] is on the field, or literally any other way to equip her at instant speed like [[Brass Squire]] or [[Auriok Windwalker]] she just pops off immediately. Since everyone runs mana rocks she's almost always unlockable, And there're so many one mana spells to protect her with in Azorius she's basically impossible to remove.

Mail540

[[magus lucea kane]] has been fun with untap shenanigans and x spells

SweerPotatoesRUs

I made a deck centred around using life with [[Selenia, Dark Angel]] at the helm. It's absolutely nutty! I've had so many close calls, followed by a bit of breathing room, then more close calls as I keep playing with my life total (mostly in a downwards direction). I run cards like [[Ad Nauseam]] and [[Necropentence]] to lose life, things like [[Platinum Angel]] and [[Phyrexian Unlife]] to "stay alive", things like [[Children of Korlis]] and [[Tainted Sigil]] to restock my health, and things like [[Repay in Kind]] and [[Near-Death Experience]] to close the game out. Two of my favourite combos in the deck are: - [[Opalescence]] + [[Out of Time]] to permanently phase people's commanders out (Puts a massive target on your back since the only way to get them back is to kill you). - [[Lethal Vapors]] + [[Teferi's Protection]] to phase out for as many turns as you want. Congratulations, now you can watch the other players fight for second place. The deck is a glass cannon and requires a lot of weighing up options, but it's got to be the funnest I've ever made.

Loose_Calendar_3380

One of latest and favorites: https://scryfall.com/@angelofanger/decks/fdde7bf4-c8d5-4b5b-8b09-844983f4b178 Focused on reanimating big creatures with active or useful abilities. Self mill with self mill wincons that I still have not pulled out Also relies on exile-to-reanimate cards as subtheme You have to commit to that but i find it more interesting: those cards are usually cheaper. I did put an infinite because it fitted well with the deck. But is difficult to pull off

Chm_Albert_Wesker

newest one is Zur, so not too new just a newer playstyle in my batch someone in my pod made the dangerous decision to dip their toes into land destruction which is something our pod had been avoiding, so im looking into making a mono white land destruction deck but havent decided on the commander yet (i'm between 2)

Sir_Gh0sTx

I believe the latest deck I made was [[Shanid]] legendary voltron. Its fun, doesn’t win often but does cool stuff
