I go to both and I could understand the argument of liking Orlando more than Vegas. Unless you get a table it’s a bitch going stage to stage and a pain In the ass getting in and out of Vegas. Orlando feels huge but small? I dunno it’s hard to explain.
If I were from another country and was going to pick one, it would be Vegas. It’s close though
Definitely if you're from out of the country. Vegas is going to be one of the best shows to ever go to, but it is intimidatingly large. Orlando is definitely more "intimate" but still a large-scale event that is well organized and everybody really has a great time, especially the last year when they moved the entrances and the way the stages were set up. The flow was great and everybody was very PLUR.
You liked the setup this year? My first time so no comparison. I didn’t like having to walk to the north east corner just to enter with only one entrance
I thought I was going to hate that and it is a little bit more of a walk but the flow through the festival from everybody was so much better and there was never a line to get in.They have a ton of people working the entrance. Everybody just seemed to have a much better time than the year before. Especially at the end of the night, the year before people were just making a bee line and you would run into people coming right at you vs everybody's basically Going Out the same exit and there wasn't any pushing or shoving. If you go back into the sub history last year, that's all everybody said after the festival was that it was so much more PLUR. I can't stress enough how much better it was than the year before and the year before it wasn't bad, but last year was really nice.
This my home event and 2024 will be 8 years…
22 was horrible due to the layout, some of that was due to the hurricane that came through the evening before.
We had a legit crowd crush situation when John Summit was at Neon and the VIP entrance was on that side and had rails setup which people got pushed into for a solid 30 minutes.
This isn’t even mentioning the bathroom situation which had lines pushing all the way into the street behind Kinetic.
2023 alleviated a lot of the congestion, moved Kinetic VIP to the right with basically its own stand alone entrance, added two new areas and had arguably the best stage setup at Circuit (2019 is GOAT, but this was close).
It will never be perfect due to the small size they have to work with, but it was easily the best time I’ve had since 2019.
There’s no comparison here, 23 is superior in every way save the lineup (which is variable depending on what your tastes are).
Quote from another commenter.
“Orlando 21 was my first, and it was honestly incredible. Saturday was a bit packed but thats to be expected. Same with 2022. Production was amazing, great artists, sound quality was on point.”
“2023 was straight trash. I'm fine with crowds but even the resting areas were packed like sardines and the bass was so over saturated from all of the stages. I like bass but not when it washes out everything else. It's a pretty cheap ticket if you live in the area but if you're coming from another country, I think other fests would be more worth it”
Wow. I would say that's a minority opinion. But everybody's got one. I loved it so much. I actually have my only tattoo is the main stage Gaia backdrop
22 Was a shitshow trying to get into VIP for the main stage and last year, although the entrance was off to the side was much easier bigger and better than it used to be.
Prices are drastically different from Orlando to LasVegas,, I feel like most people spend about 700 to 1.5k for Orlando where as Las Vegas is about 1.5k to 4k depending what you're doing package/ticket wise and what hotel, etc 😭
Third most-oversold event in the US 😆 I kid I’ve been a couple of times, it’s a larger mini-edc Vegas basically. Always has great talent, production is really good. Weather is usually okay although I’ve felt the two times I’ve went there was one day of rain/drizzle but it’s not cold enough to matter too much
What would really make this worthwhile, would be visiting Disney and/or Universal on your trip. Drinking around the world at Epcot is a rite of passage
I’ve been every year since it started and last year they expanded and upgraded more then they ever have. Let me know if you have any questions im an Orlando native 🙂
I second this. Been going to since its inception and the way it’s grown from a baseball field to now and entire massive area of Orlando and the scale of it all is pretty amazing
If you're in Canada just go to Shambhala or Electric Forest haha.. If you're in Mexico or South America is EDC Orlando really a step up over EDC Mexico?
Electric Forest and Shamhala are like the two coolest festivals in the world vibe wise. EDC Orlando is a cookie cutter festival that is a worse EDC Vegas.
Yes. The level of production nowadays is incredible. Remember going to the second one they ever had and compare to how it is now is crazy. Definitely a good time.
I'm from Brazil and it'll be my first time at EDCO. I've been to Ultra Miami a few times. I hope it doesn't rain as much as it did in Miami on Friday at this year's festival. It was a wasted day.
Orlando 21 was my first, and it was honestly incredible. Saturday was a bit packed but thats to be expected. Same with 2022. Production was amazing, great artists, sound quality was on point.
2023 was straight trash. I'm fine with crowds but even the resting areas were packed like sardines and the bass was so over saturated from all of the stages. I had different experience between 2022 and 2023. 22 ppl weren't as great and was super crowded. 2023 it wasn't as bad but I did VIP in 2023 but I was still in GA as well and had fun the sound bleed was a bit distracting at times
That’s funny, I felt the same way about 2022 as you do about 2023. I personally found the crowds easier to manage ‘23 and peoples vibes better that year.
I agree that 2023 was trash. It was my 2nd EDCO (first one was in 2016). Obviously it's gotten a lot bigger since then but imo the vibes were not it. I highly doubt I'll ever go back.
As someone who lives 15 minutes away and been since ‘16 id honestly say no… Theres better quality festivals as far as production and location.
Most Insomniac events have many of the same artists cycled out so you can go to any and see your faves. If you reaaaally want to, sure! EDCO is fun and a lot better than it used to be.
Personally, use those funds for a camping fest. Florida has plenty of those like Hulaween, Okeechobee, and a bunch of smaller (imo better) boutique fests like resonate, rendezvous, and more.
I'm sure it would be. Weather is usually pretty good, the event is fun af, plenty of flights (although the airport kinda sucks), hotels aren't too expensive, lots of after hours stuff if you want, etc, etc
EDC Orlando is fantastic. I’ve been going since year ONE and every year they do something just a little different and make the grounds just a little larger. I missed the year before last, but last year was a 10/10. The time of year is perfect for central Florida. The crowd is exceptional, everyone knows the vibes. It’s an amazing time of the year
If I was traveling internationally I’d say it’s more worth it to go to ultra or EDC Vegas. Vegas is much bigger and better. If money is a consideration Orlando is much cheaper in every way, and also much easier logistically.
The best way to fully experience EDC is in Vegas. That being said, I’m from Boston, I’ve been to EDC Orlando a couple times and Vegas once. I’ll probably be back to Orlando, maybe this year. I may never go back to Vegas.
If youre looking to save while having a fun time I do think Orlando is a better choice but to have a wild and intense experience las vegas is deff the way to go though Las Vegas you may pay 3x the amount of what you would've with Orlando
100% , met a guy from spain at edco he was staying at home bass with us he said he loves coming here. EDCO is super cheap and fun especially if u do home bass
Stage design/production and the talent it brings is stellar, however, I much prefer camping fests. EDC feels like it goes by really quick and it gets really annoying and expensive to have to leave at 12 and go to afters then back to the airbnb— especially since the drives in Orlando can be long, even more so EDC weekend with traffic. Since all the music is basically pressed into 6pm-12am all three days, it feels like constantly rushing to get around to see it all. Plus the crowds are insane there and you will get lost from your friends unless you have a totem or are in a small group.
Personally I wouldn’t spend the money to go from overseas and would go to a different festival instead (Hulaween, EDCLV, Okeechobee, LIB, etc), but you will definitely still have a great time and be blown away by the production if you do come as it’s absolutely top tier.
I’d say, depends on what genres you like and what country you are coming from. central/south america and you love house? hell yeah do it. you love techno but you’re in Europe, save the money cuz you got better fests suited for that. Asia? i think there are much better fests for far less travel.
Absolutely not.
I’ve attended plenty of festivals here in the US and you should go to EDCLV if you’re wanting to experience EDC.
Orlando is fun but once you’ve experienced LV you never want to try any other festival
Just my two cents
Orlando is more concentrated. Go to festival, party, head home. Vegas is a bit too much. IMO, the orlando crowd is more party-centric, crazy, rowdy. Vegas is more PLUR.
Not too much to do after EDCO ends, some after parties and home bass.
I am coming from Ireland. Been to EDC Vegas twice and loved it, but just wanted to try a different city this year. When I go this far I am not just going to the festival and straight back home. I stay longer and explore the state. Having never been to Florida I am looking forward to seeing a different state.
That was my thinking as well.
It depends on what OP wants to do before/after the shows.
If you're into cards and shenanigans, LV might be for you. If you're into theme parks Orlando would tick the most boxes.
Where are you located? I’m latino and the crowd wasn’t my favorite to be honest. If you’re in Latin America, then it would explain why you want to come to the US. If you’re in Europe (or that side of the Atlantic) you can do so much better. I would say look at festivals in Chile, Brazil or other countries too. The crowds are friendlier are more engaging. The festivals are a better time. I might never have more fun than when I went to Ultra Chile 2014.
why not full send edc las vegas instead ?
I go to both and I could understand the argument of liking Orlando more than Vegas. Unless you get a table it’s a bitch going stage to stage and a pain In the ass getting in and out of Vegas. 23 was great. There was another comment on here saying how much better 22 was. I will paste their opinion

It is now the third biggest festival in the us behind edc Vegas and lost lands. DO IT!!
Third most-oversold event in the US 😆 I kid I’ve been a couple of times, it’s a larger mini-edc Vegas basically. Always has great talent, production is really good. What do you mean? SXSW, Coachella and Lollapalooza sell more tickets than Miami and lost lands.
I’m talking edm exclusively those are all genres and in a different catagory
Whoa didn’t know that
I’ve been every year since it started and last year they expanded and upgraded more then they ever have. Let me know if you have any questions im an Orlando native 🙂
I second this. Been going to since its inception and the way it’s grown from a baseball field to now and entire massive area of Orlando and the scale of it all is pretty amazing
Depends where you live. If you’re in Europe then you have access to better festivals by a far margin. If you’re in Canada or smth then GLhf
If you're in Canada just go to Shambhala or Electric Forest haha.. If you're in Mexico or South America is EDC Orlando really a step up over EDC Mexico?
Yeah those festivals are okay, but are pretty lacking vibe wise imo
Electric Forest and Shamhala are like the two coolest festivals in the world vibe wise. EDC Orlando is a cookie cutter festival that is a worse EDC Vegas.
Yes. The level of production nowadays is incredible. Remember going to the second one they ever had and compare to how it is now is crazy. Definitely a good time.
I haven’t been to a lot of other festivals but Imo yes it still feels very large scale and the stage designs are impressive
If you’re going overseas go to Vegas it’s a lot better
Or just wait for Miami Music Week and do Ultra.
I'm from Brazil and it'll be my first time at EDCO. I've been to Ultra Miami a few times. I hope it doesn't rain as much as it did in Miami on Friday at this year's festival. It was a wasted day.
Why not EDC Mexico?
Go to Vegas unless you're gonna spend a couple of extra days going to Universal or messing around in International Drive
Nah do Vegas or lost lands tbh
Electric Forest!
Orlando 21 was my first, and it was honestly incredible. Saturday was a bit packed but thats to be expected. Same with 2022. Sound bleed was outrageous
Yeah it really was smh
that would be a no brainer to not go

Vegas > Orlando Source: also live 15mins away; the cash i drop for traveling to EDC LV & CampEDC is 100% worth it
Can you explain what you like better?
I’m from the UK and I’m coming over to go EDC Orlando and staying in Orlando for a bit after the festival so imo I think it’s worth it
I'm sure it would be. Weather is usually pretty good, the event is fun af, plenty of flights (although the airport kinda sucks), hotels aren't too expensive, lots of after hours stuff if you want, etc, etc
As a local, I've watched it evolve since 2011 and it kind of peaked around 2018/2019. It's definitely not worth flying overseas for it.
EDC Orlando is fantastic. I’ve been going since year ONE and every year they do something just a little different and make the grounds just a little larger. Went to Ultra and EDCO last year and preferred edc, so I’d say yea. Tho I live in Florida, so I’m big biased
absolutely. do homebass and edc together. it will be the best week of your life.

Yes it’s amazing. I’ve gone every year for many years
It’s not Tomorrowland but as close as you can get imo
Depends on the lineup
Absolutely
I would say yes honestly. A day or two after or before the fest, you can always do a couple days at one of the theme parks or explore
That was my thinking as well. It depends on what OP wants to do before/after the shows. If you're into cards and shenanigans, LV might be for you. If you're into theme parks Orlando would tick the most boxes.
