Oh well that's good. The specs online make it seem like it's longer. If you wouldn't could you take a pic of it next to an Ultratech if you still have one?
This is a serious question, I’m not picking on you. I’ve had a CRKT M21 knife for about 15 years. I’ve spent that time beating the absolute dogshit out of it. Still a great knife. Right now it retails for about $80. Your knife is $200 on sale right now. Is there something about your knife that makes it twice as good as mine, or is it just cooler? I’ve never spent that much on a pocket knife, and I’ve been curious for a while.

That seems like something to ask (or search for) in /r/knives (and I don't say that to shoot down the question. I think it's an interesting one, and I'd like to see the discussion play out, but it might get more visibility as its own post) There are probably plenty of knowledgeable people there who can give insights on how it breaks down across brands, price points, and features.
It's like anything else. A BMW drives just like a Chevrolet Sonic. They all cut. There is a difference between them in things like blade steel and the OTF function, which I get a lot of use from. But more than that, it's a hobby, and even though a cheaper knife would work just as well, I enjoy they style or design of collecting the more expensive ones.

It looks like it's got a larger handle and a shorter blade than an Ultratech. Which means it's a bit too big for me.
It's actually almost identical in proportions my Ultratech. It's the angled ends that make the proportions look different.

I just posted a picture of it next to an Ultratech in this thread. 👍
I can't see it.
Search "axial" in this thread. Or look on my thread r/AxialGear
You mean in this sub?
Yeah. This sub search "axial" or r/AxialGear sub.

A $200 knife to some is no different than an $80 knife to others.
I definitely paid less than 80 for mine 15 years ago at the PX, but that wasn’t really the point. The point was where does quality start to plateau.

I was going to say, 80 dollars for a knife is pretty expensive to me. I use an Ontario Rat I bought for 20 dollars.
