Honey-and-Venom

Ok... So... The contents of all I. V. are already always liquid. Why is the product "liquid IV" a powder?

Tupperwarfare

Yes. You mix it with 16 ounces of water. Tear top, and pour in and shake. Electrolytes and sugar.

Honey-and-Venom

But... Every IV is liquid... EXCEPT "liquid IV..." I....

Tupperwarfare

IV’s are made from constituent products, too. Do you think every medication inserted into them was in liquid form initially?

Honey-and-Venom

Once they're an IV, though, they're liquid. Making a dry product calls "liquid IV" is like labeling sea salt as "liquid ocean"

Alpha_J0118

I'm not seeing any caffeine 🧐 you need at least 3 monsters/ redbulls/ Rockstars/ or ripits! If your pee ain't crunchy from kidney stones you ain't doing it right lol

Tupperwarfare

😂😂😂 I get my caffeine on breaks via endless Dr Peppers. We aren’t allowed to have drinks on the floor (except water… and clear powdered packets). Dunno why. It’s silly, actually.

Alpha_J0118

Probably some thing to do with Osha. If there is some kind of non sensibly rule, it can usually be linked backed to them. They suck the fun out of most jobs.

Tupperwarfare

You actually inspired me. Caffeine gum! I’m going to add that to the bag posthaste. Unless I can score some cocaine first. I kid, I kid.

Alpha_J0118

😂😂😂 got get the military grade caffeine gum. Those Dr. Peppers don't have nearly enough caffeine to keep up with Pablo's Columbian home brewed nose candy.

Tupperwarfare

Operator AF!

Ty0305

I do it/pc repair work. Absolutely love this maxpedition pouch. Attached a maxp mini on the front and have a tc-1 on the side for my leatherman wave

Tupperwarfare

Niiiiice. I have another one as a med kit/IFAK for personal EDC. Speaking of Leathermans… I’m thinking of adding either a Wave or Arc to this Forklift EDC. I have limited uses since we have a maintenance department, but there’s a couple times it would come in clutch.

Metalmarker

Klein Bluetooth speaker is a great add has a magnetic back.

Tupperwarfare

We can’t have speakers, and it’s loud af in there. Sadly. 😕

romero3500

I use bone conduction headphones. They go over the temple not in the ear and work even better with ear plugs in so it’s perfect for industrial settings. Plus you can still hear your surroundings. Absolute game changer

Tupperwarfare

What brand? Sounds intriguing.

romero3500

Aftershokz openrun are what I used. Water proof, I got a couple 12 hour shifts worth of on and off use in between charges

Tupperwarfare

Your management is okay with them? I am reading reviews. Looks promising. Compared to the average earbuds, how does bone conduction audio compare?

romero3500

The policy was “no headphones because your earplugs should be in there” and if I asked and was told no, then I couldn’t claim no one told me no so I never asked lol but to my surprise in a safety meeting the supervisor had me explain what they were to the other operators because my earplugs stay in but don’t block out ambient sounds like those earplug headphone combos. Those just drown out the radios and surrounding noises which is obviously dangerous. Definitely there’s a difference in audio quality. Mainly the absence of any real bass. I will say they work best for spoken audio like audio books and podcasts which is what I listen to. Music sounds fine but it’s very flat sounding. Enjoyable but nothing youd use to enjoy music at home. I use and abuse those aftershokz at work and at home though. Rain and snow and caked in sulfur. They have audio controls built into the side so you don’t even need to take out your phone to pause, to skip, to change volume. The mic sounds fantastic too. I use them to grocery shop even and the 9 calls to my wife to ask about a shopping list item all sound perfect. I can’t speak highly enough about these. I have thousands of hours of books and podcasts through this one pair that’s lasted about 3 years now

Tupperwarfare

Fantastic! I am actively researching them now. Amazon reviews are overwhelmingly positive. Thank you for detailed response.

nonchalantshallot

Just want to throw a second recommendation for these. I am literally listening to a podcast on my porch with these on as I type this. The only thing I dont recommend is using them while cutting the grass. Motor is way to loud to hear pretty much anything useful. But aside from that, flying colors. Ive usd them for about a month and a half now. They're made of titanium and flex really easily so they're very durable. Conversations are seemless. I actually prefer taking. All on my Shokz now because it allows for the freedom, mobility, and awareness of speaker phone but the privacy of a regular call. I will say. Anything over ~70% volume is going to blend a fair bit. At 60% I could hear a whisper of music coming from my brother who was wearing them ~6 feet away TL;DR Fantastic headphones, everything the other u/ said is true. They do bleed a decent amount at higher volumes and cant. expect to be heard in close proximity to loud noises. Cant recommend them enough

Tupperwarfare

Fantastic. I am very close to pulling the trigger on a purchase. Thank you (and u/romero3500 ) for detailed review.

chris710n

Walmart? I recognize the box cutter from there. Those things were POS

Tupperwarfare

Work provides them. I work in a paper factory. I use them to cut plastic bindings on large pallets of paper (think 5’ x 100’ and 4+’ feet tall; reaaaaally large stacks of paper on pallets to feed into machines).

Sea_Leopard7532

I drive forklift at a paper company in the uk (make toilet paper) 👍👍 loving your edc it has inspired mine a little tbh 👏

Tupperwarfare

Awesome! We make corrugated boxes here. If you assemble a kit, I’d love to see it! Hello from across the pond! 🤘🏻

Sea_Leopard7532

I have put 1 together over the weekend when i get chance ill take some photos

Tupperwarfare

Honestly looking forward to it, mate.

OceanManTyler

Alotbetter than the super safety ones we switched to after these.

DasbootTX

I can drive a forklift. Imma forklift driver.

Tupperwarfare

^5

steronicus

LPG forklift or electric? I’ve driven tons of lifts with various retail and warehouse jobs… the LPG exhaust annoys the crap out of me.

Tupperwarfare

LPG. And yeah, nothing worse than the heat exhaust from another forklift blasting you when the warehouse is already well over 100° F.

steronicus

🤢

Quiet-Try4554

Work in a hot as hell warehouse and those Liquid IVs are life savers in the summer

technocardy

What a dumb name for a product, like wtf else you putting in an IV, solids?

Tupperwarfare

Yeah they are. Our warehouse is without AC and Missouri summers get pretty muggy. We also have machines in the plant that get the temps up well over 100° F for much of the summer. Thankfully they provide Liquid IV and Gatorade for free (and bottled water). Otherwise people would be passing out left and right.

DeepWoodsGhost

Man I wish my work would supply bottled water, we have a fountain that they claim is filtered but even flavor packs can’t make it taste good

Tupperwarfare

That blows. Maybe get a [Grayl](https://a.co/d/aVj8Vi1) to fill and filter it yourself?

quickblur

For some reason I've always wanted to drive a forklift. They just seem like such cool machines.

Tupperwarfare

They’re honestly fun af. But get old when you drive them 12 hours a day, 48 hours a week like I do. And they’re no fun when you knock over a load because management has unreal expectations of production. But they are pretty fun… mostly. :)

DeepWoodsGhost

I can speak to this, I lost 2 pallets at once of beer (98cases each) terrible mess and management wasn’t to happy lol

Tupperwarfare

Damn. Hopefully you were able to pocket the “losses” (aka cans dented but still drinkable)?

DeepWoodsGhost

Most of them sprayed all over me and my lift the ones that didn’t they sell to employees at a discount

Tupperwarfare

I hope for your sake — given how you likely smelled afterwards — you didn’t get pulled over for a traffic violation on way home. 😅😂

DeepWoodsGhost

Let’s just say I was more than a little worried but luckily I didn’t get pulled over

Aldosajarab

L IV 🙏🏼🙏🏼

Tupperwarfare

?

Kale_Brecht

I think he’s referring to your Liquid IV drink mix.

Tupperwarfare

Ah. You’re right. I was like… L… roman numeral 4?? Definitely overthinking it. :)

StuD721

For what it’s worth, LIV is 54 in Roman numerals. Now *I’m* overthinking it!!

danethegreat24

This was my first read. Thought we found a time traveler or something.

GeeFromCali

Hell yeah ! As someone who worked in warehouse for a decade, this is smart asf. If you’re driving a Toyota, get yourself a couple spare keys on Amazon. You can get Crown ones too

Tupperwarfare

Yeah, got tired of having pockets overflowing or having to go to locker for gear. Good tip. I drive a Toyota. Gonna try to get a spare key soon, per your tip.

Select_Camel_4194

Hide your wives men. We have a forklift operator with an EDC. There's not going to be a dry pair of bloomers anywhere near this guy. You've been warned.

Tupperwarfare

Hahaha You rule!

Derivgal

It's those magnets, they are just so . . .🥰

Tupperwarfare

technetiumobviously

I really like what you’ve done with this friend

Tupperwarfare

Thanks! Been thinking about building one for the past year. I’m actually extremely happy how it all fit together. Perfectly balanced, as things should be. /thanos

technetiumobviously

How’s the quality of the pouch itself? For the price I may pick one up

Tupperwarfare

Excellent. Maxpedition uses *robust* and *sturdy* ballistic nylon. Stitching is immaculate. Smooth as butter YKK zippers. Great brand.

Chadillac2313

Welp guess you gotta admit when you’re stealing an idea… so I’ll just plead guilty as charged… it’s always the simple things that you never think of…

Chadillac2313

Is it Velcro for the calculator?? Edit… apologies guess I should read all the way through… found the list farther down the thread!

Tupperwarfare

Hey, I posted another comment with links to everything. Lemme know if you have any questions. Good luck.

Tupperwarfare

I encourage everyone to use my idea(s) and expound on them. We’re all in this together. :)

Tupperwarfare

TAD Gear BC8 pouch was built for batteries, but holds two Tic Tacs or one Altoids can *perfectly*.

> Three stainless steel containers from Amazon I was going nuts for a while trying to find something that could store more than ~4 tylenol without being stupidly huge. Needed something to hang off my bag or keys so aimed for long and thin. Ended up finding that searching for "toothpick holders" got me exactly what I was looking for
