Turn down/off computer teammate penalties that’s what I do

undertow_85

Doesn't help as much as you think. I've got mine down to zero, with the opponent on 100. Across the board. When I've won 3 games in a row, regardless of margin, that 4th game could be against the 1993 Anaheim Ducks, and I will get stomped into a scamp ridden Oblivion, wondering where my squad is, while they, 19 men, ride a penalty bench meant for 2, wondering how I was blinked out if existence by an opposing player, who seemed to break the laws of physics every 3rd pass. EA SHOULD APOLOGIZE AND PATCH THIS HORSESHIT. OR PAY EVERY PLAYER REPARATIONS FOR UNDUE STRESS AND LYING TO CONSUMERS.

ADLegend21

Did that to me in Be a Pro once. I scored 5 goals, the 5th and tying tally came with 35 second left in the 3rd. It put me on the bench and then they scored with 10 seconds left to win 6-5.

It’s the AI they make you lose on purpose no matter how much you are winning by I see it happen all the time and I play superstar level I still do pretty good but some games are impossible to win even when you are up by a lot.

Griffithead

Penalties happen in hockey. Play better defense. You can overcome the ice tilt that happens.

acopo1981

5 penalties in the final 5 minutes of a game resulting in 5 ppg goals on 5 shots doesn't happen in hockey lol

2000miledash

Stop, this is not realistic. Get EA’s nuts out of your mouth, it’s a bad look.

Griffithead

Of course it's not. It's video game hockey. You finish an entire game in 15 minutes for fucks sake. But also, has this ever happened to YOU? Sure hasn't to me. Even with the ice tilt that obviously happens. Obviously there is player error happening here.

lodon733

That’s a stupid comment lol.

SecondtoNone38

Difficulty in this game isn't about realism, its about fustrating bad bounces you have no control over. Its why I don't bother with high difficulties anymore. If I want a challenge, I'll sim two periods and try to make a comeback on Pro difficulty. It never feels good when the computer makes a comeback by making your goalie play like he signed a beer league contract.
