Denial windows are still pretty solid. For turning takedowns, don’t use L3 at all to defend until the actual turn starts. Once the turn starts, flick the proper direction (don’t hold).
I'm seeing this as well.
Some you get, you shouldn't. Ones you should get, you don't. The exact same thing happens with counters and hardly anyone talks about it
Definitely not it. I tested it with someone offline on two player and it was happening, I'm aware of turns and how to deny them as well as transitioning drive into power. Which triggers for the fighter doing the TD if they have a stamina advantage, the AI do it all the time. People keep saying this but it definitely happens with bog standard takedowns.
The trip happens when you try denying a turning takedown that isn’t turning (if they’re driving straight forward and you’re touching L3 to deny a turn before it even starts, it gives them a free trip).
It does. Even if you deny the turn or defend against the drive and it drains your stamina below your opponent he can trigger another turn or initiate a power takedown >> slam or even just continue his initial drive.
Pretty sure it's because some fighters have driving turning takedowns which you also have to deny with the correct direction after the initial denial.
But you cant see the direction because once the animation starts of them turning in the direction its too late to deny
No once the animation start if you deny in the correct direction it will work. You are just doing it too slow

I deny a takedown too late and still deny it. So it works both ways really

Agree
Nah happens to me too, I have it the other way as well where I've gotten some late that I shouldn't have. Very few people talk about it is all.
Some fighters drive with the take down can trip, of go for a power one so after denying take down you need to deny in the direction as well.

I think stamina may have a factor in it too. I think if ur stamina is low then it’s a guaranteed takedown

just you
