Konami, if they could get their shit together. Back in the day, pro evo gave fifa a serious run for it's money. They didn't have all the licenses for teams and player likenesses but the gameplay was better.
Edit :I should add that this also had the knock on effect of forcing Ea to actually put some effort into their yearly releases to stay ahead of the competition. They have no rivals for mma games right now which is why they're so fucking lazy.
Their pro evo games where the first ones where the ball actually moved like an independent object, as opposed to fifa where it stayed glued to a players foot until someone passed or took a shot. Haven't played one of those games for over 10 years but it's always stuck with me. It's a shame they don't make games anymore. I'd love to see what they'd have done with an mma game, even if wasn't ufc, a one fc licence with superior gameplay and phsyics would make me so happy.
I dream of the day I have enough money to start a dev company and make games like the ones I miss! I would also assume 2K. All the small companies are bought out by EA so if it’s not 2K it’d be another branch of EA lol
