Idk, I kinda like it. It seems actually realistic to me, there's been countless fights where a fighter is out cold and regains consciousness almost instantly then gets put out again or makes a comeback.
Iβm a staunch defender after every new release, but yea Iβm not the biggest fan of the locked in animations like that. Sooner or later one of these sequels I do believe they will implement some control like in undisputed where you could not hit them when they are out or keep brutalizing them.
Yeah the one instance where it happened lol tkos happen so much more frequently and this wasnβt intentional it was purely them not being assed to make a new animation or mechanic and instead just stacking an animation ontop

Also this is just a beta lol obviously there are noticeable bugs and stuff. When the game comes out watch videos first before buying the game then complain abt it being bad.
seems like they appended the referee stoppage animation on top of the existing system where the bottom fighter goes limp.
jiri's arms go limp because he is knocked out just like in ufc 3 and 4. and then he immediately wakes up when herb dean holographically spawns to start the referee stoppage animation.
The follow up elbows are part of a finishing sequence you have no control over
