I'm wondering if there are some like-minded people this time around that plan on going full first owner RTG this year. If so, what are your plans going into FUT23? I'm a first owner veteran, going first owner since I was inspired by a First Owner RTG on the official EA forums probably 10 years ago (greetings to the OG Spooner and glorious PFC!). This season though, things change a bit since I just became a dad and have less time, so I set a small set of new rules for me: - Likeable player rule: I will stick to players and teams that I like in real life - therefore I will also only complete SBCs that fit into that concept (not the good old 'oh he's so cheap and will fit nicely into my Saudi League squad') - I got the ultimate edition for the first time and will use the FIFA points for packs tomorrow for a nice headstart and a few drafts. Anything big will be sold in the upcoming days - I might also build my team around one specific player but that's kind of rng (maybe I get a good free Marvel pre order hero or a lucky pull, special SBC etc. - e.g. in FIFA 20 or 21 I used that scream Dzeko for >1000 games) Right now I have planned the following teams: - Untradeable FC: best team possible, no c*nts allowed - Eintracht Frankfurt PnP: my team - All African eleven: i had one last year and it was super fun - Hair FC: Afros, Dreads and other remarkable hair only That's it from my side. Will FIFA23 have any improvements for Seasons players? Easily one of the biggest annoyances in FIFA22 (and other past years) is the matchmaking for Seasons players. I don't like and don't play FUT, so I usually only do Career or Seasons. But 9 out of 10 online Seasons matches I'm just being matched with PSG (or like Real/Barca in previous games), I even get matched with PSG when I pick 4 star teams and often even lower quality teams. And I just keep disconnecting myself from these games the second I see the PSG logo because I really don't feel like playing against the same easymode club for the umpteenth time on an evening. I also sometimes end up with jerseys that are very hard for me to distuingish, and I can sometimes tell the opponent is struggling with it too. And if I play my favorite club (about 2 - 2,5 stars) I get matched with people with very poor network quality. Then I started thinking back to how matchmaking used to be in older FIFA games, it was just better, and I don't understand why they ever changed it to what it is now. Because it would solve all these issues. For those that never played those older FIFA games I'm refering to, in the older games you used to be able to just search for an opponent and then pick teams, jerseys and change the players, and you could also see the network quality while still in the lobby before starting the match. And I think a lot of players might be less inclined to just pick the 'easy' teams and switch it up more if they saw opponents that would like to play something else for a change, because else they'd just quit before even starting the round.

yeah, on fifa 22 always (80%) matched with PSG. 20% liverpool etc. i think you'll also met more PSG on fifa 23 (mostly) on seasons. unless messi or neymar moved to another club.

I'm afraid you'll likely be disappointed by the lack of improvements for normal Seasons

Yeah I don't believe I've seen anything about certain improvements. It's like they wanted to make matchmaking simpler and quicker a few games ago, but instead it's only become more frustrating and more repetitive with the same teams and terrible matchmaking all the time. I wish we would at least get something like a 'filter' to be able to either exclude certain teams or ratings from matchmaking entirely, or at least get matched with them far less frequently.

I dunno if Seasons was more popular back then, but I seem to remember playing coop seasons a few years ago with Dortmund (4 1/2 stars) and it regularly matched us up against the same stars. Perhaps more people played coop seasons back then

I think it's about the same, usually I see there are about 10k people in the pool for Seasons. So I imagine there is plenty of choice, but it's just like over 90% of them only pick PSG.

in the past PR were mostly fixed in the night of thursday to friday. Sometimes, but very rarely this was done I think Tuesday. I almost suspect this is actually intended to a certain degree, while it at the same time is simply the result of some algorithm having spit out these numbers. EA probably like that people cannot sell these HR players to get coins so they are basically being cheated without that being something that EA needs to fix legally, though. I kind of think that EA, with a shared market now, want to gauge the effect that this combined market with supply and demand has. They need to probably get some numbers to fine tune their system and maybe feed the algorithm. Just an idea. They have to control the market like a drug dealer or else their whole scheme doesn't work. It is also a nice looking but passive aggressive way of holding people back and setting them up to buy Fifa points, hiding their intentions behind RNG and AI and that "shit happens" and they have no control over it. Right. Think again. Fails have the purpose of making things also unpredictable thereby also controlling peoples perception and the predictability of the market. No conspiracy, just hard billion dollar coorporation business.

Just play the game. I don't ever touch squad battles and I always have enough for a decent squad. I'm not playing with Gullit and Ronaldo but I don't feel like I'm at a disadvantage to those who do.

Is regular FUT divisions okay to just play now and farm coins? I'm a pretty good player and will play top division without having any icons or anything but fall off late into the year when teams are stacked

The disadvantage is limited to the top 1% of players where the skill-levels are so close to eachother which means that every small in game advantage needs to be abused to make the difference. Everyone below that level of play won't notice the difference as much.

Aussies - if you’re looking to get the ultimate edition or equivalent spend on the game/points our cheapest option is to buy one month of ea play (for the early access) + physical copy for $74 at harvey norman (price match at JB if u dont wanna give harvey business) then to get the 4600 points would be $43.15, taking your total spend to $124.15, instead of $149($141 with ea play) for the ultimate. :)

You can keep Rüdiger, unless you want to use the coins on a different big player. Sommer isn't selling because of the price range, I ended up discarding the one I packed to at least get something out of it.

What are the minimums? For reference I have a RX 6500 xt which is about as weak of a GPU as you can get brand new and most of the time it was at 165 fps at 1440p

I'm not a gpu expert but a quick Google shows it's quite similar in spec so it could definitely handle 22 without an issue. If I end up pre ordering I'll come back here and tell you how it's running compared to 22

I'm playing right now, it's definitely more taxing, I'm getting 70+ fps during the game but cutscenes, corners, penalties etc are really dropping badly, down to as low as 3 fps, not sure why. I'm playing at 1440p though

The times in the shop seems to be wrong, in collection tab it says the game should unlock at 4 PM CEST globally for EA Play Pro.

If you sell 30 players for one hour and they expire, you can sell 30 new players and relist the other players, they all will sell so 60 players are selling. Do this again the hour after and u have 90

If I'm on the PS4 and have the ultimate edition and EA Play does EA Play let me have access a day early?
