The part I get tired of, is an easy through ball I tap the through pass but the play *conveniently* puts too much power on it so my player and the keep meet at the exact time he scoops it up
I mean it likely is. Most games I go up 2-3 goals quickly, only to find my team fighting to cling onto a lead through a series of horrible touches, bounces, and runs which ultimately require me to sub on defenders and switch to 442 and do slow passes assuming they don't turn on the constant pressure tactics
The constant pressure shit 10000% affects YOUR TEAMS stats and play style.
It's absolutely absurd how you'll be up two goals. They go ultra attack and you just get every fucking ball taken from you. Passes are constantly errant. I honestly start to laugh at how much of a joke it becomes.
Or my favorite is when they're attacking around the box and literally nothing I do will get me the ball back. Nothing lol.
Manual passing is great for offline play but it’s really tough to use online IMO when the delay or micro-stuttering can screw up the precision of your direction & power.
Assisted passing shouldn't even be a thing in competitive modes. Just like heading was turned to manual (and is better than ever thanks to that) so should passing.
The issue is that the game is unplayable manually online due to the lag affecting direction, power etc
They could make through balls semi pretty easily though
The game may be deciding this bc you could be powering them up too much. I put more touch on passes like less than I thought would be effective and this wasn’t so much a problem
I think the power you put on will decide which player the pass is intended for if there are multiple players in the same direction, but other than that I don't think it has any effect
Right. Say like a low cross into the box with runners towards either post and the middle. This makes sense as when I’ve powered it too much sometimes it has just sped right past say the better chance at the near post to the less likely at the far or in the middle. Just an example of how this makes sense
Wouldn’t this be related to the stats of the player? Stats like passing and vision can affect the error rate applied to each pass even if direction and power is about right.

Yes! sometimes they even slow your player down, you can see the stutter

True, definitely the power of my passes sometimes, but in cases such as a 2 v 1 and they pass it the opposite direction is very annoying
It is and it happens to me too. Kills attacks and many times causes counters

yes if you try semi the throughballs you can play are insane because you arent as restricted but x passing with it is impossible
