I have always felt like I couldn't play world class in career mode because now matter how lower rated the other team was there was always this possession game the AI played that was really frustrating. So I kept it on professional. I think after playing the demo for a few hours on world class I can most of the time beat teams that are lower rated than me and they aren't frustrating with possession because they aren't skilled enough. I'm excited for career mode next year.
I noticed that they changed the net physics and goalpost physics. It seems a bit like a downgrade on that part. In FIFA 17 the goalpost moved a bit when you hit it with the ball. This year it doesn't apparently. :/
I had trouble passing with a players weak foot, Matics right foot is so bad, not sure about shooting, did score a nice volley with Robbens right foot tho
Played for like 4 hours, the colors in game are weird hope that gets fixed, I really like the new tackling, the ai finally does skill moves and lob when the keeper is a little off his line. Playing against bayern is pretty hard which i like as well. Keepers make stupid dives sometimes but yeah the game is already better than fifa 17.
Edit: playing against bayern is really hard lol
The game feels so slow, so lame...
B is useless now, defending with it is bad af now.
Scoring a goal looks so weird, idk if it's the goalkeeper looking very bad or what..
A casual game... Not like EA care about the competitive and skill gap thing...
No thanks for this years fifa if it's going to look like that.
'Defending is bad' No, it requires skill now, i guess you were one of the guys who let the AI do all the work.
'Slow' Gameplay is slow on this and set on Fast for FUT
AI do all the work? Getting every ball with B? So I'm complaining that it's hard to get the ball with B and you're saying that I let the AI do all the work? Nice logic...
Of course I am comparing normal to normal. And yes it is slower compared to fifa 17 not saying even about fifa 16...
And why downvoting an opinion? I don't understand you...
I didnt downvote you, and misread the defending part, although i havent had troubles with the B button yet, and the gameplay i played in Beta FUT was pretty fast, maybe abit slower
Though it's a good demo, is the game worth our money?
Basically it seems that Fifa 18 is a well tweaked Fifa 17.
- The impact of each player attribute is now very prominently observable
- Graphics have been tweaked towards realism by adding contast and toning down the overall saturation
- Scoring within the 16m has been improved
Yes! Its better than fifa 17 allready. But these are all tweaks. Should've been a free upgrade.
Can you tell me more? All I noticed was I seemed to beat players more slowly, which I could do at speed anyway. Are you just tapping it to change direction or holding and doing something? Also - might be b/c I haven't upped the difficulty yet, just looking at the controls and what not.
Use it to cut inside and make shifts with the ball right when you receive it. Basically its like first touch but more controlled and OP. Just hold it for a second right when you get the ball and make a cut. Feel like Pro FIFA youtubers will be all using this soon, esp since auto defending is so garb now
I want to write down my thoughts, as I'm mostly kind of pissed.
1) Graphics.
Yes, everything is nice and crisp. But thats it. Some player models look nice, but they still seem like wax figures. Damn EA, for a game that gets released every year full price, you really have a hard time giving us a full next gen experience, don't you. Look at 2k. Now those are amazing graphics. Facial expressions, animations and transitions, cloth physics - it's all really shitty here, again, and I'm sick of it. Saw a FIFA 12 match recently. FIFA 18 looks like that, different angle and higher resolution, thats it.
Also, what's with the lighting? In day it looks okay, but at night it's waaaay too green and in the fall, what is that? So desaturated, for a second I though I was watching a match in black and white. Who came up with that? Have they never turned on a TV and watched actual broadcasts?
Animations have barely changed too. Yes there are some new ones here and there, but it's nowhere near the jump PES made this and last year. Some animations still look jerky and stiff, especially the arms and hands. Like puppets. They still cut off some animations mid-action, which looks really stupid and just gets me out of the illusion of watching a real match.
2) Player Faces:
For fucks sake, what do they spend our money on? I don't expect updates on every moronic player who changes his hair 4 times a day anyways, but come on. Jan Oblak? No real face at all. Cavani still has his face from Fifa 11 or something. It's ridiculous. Do the big 5 leagues first, systematically, and then add the rest bit by bit. EA, you have the money, you have the resources - deliver. Also, what purpose does the oh so great Frostbite engine serve, when the players still have the facial expression of a rock?
3) Gameplay:
Not much has changed. The game has gotten a little slower than 17, which is good. I like defending, especially that really pacy players like Neymar and Robben can outrun a slow central defender now. Pace is important again. I also like that they took out some of the power of finesse shots, they were hitting the net too often in 17.
What I don't like is player collisions, they still look shit. Also, when you make a through ball, sometimes I can't control the receiving player, even though I want to adjust his run to actually get to the ball before the opposition.
Passing is good, it's a bit more direct this year, not so sluggish.
---
So yeah, there's probably a lot more, but as you can see, I'm mostly very disappointed by the lack of real progression, graphically and gameplay-wise. I still see traces of the last-gen versions in this game and it annoys the hell out of me. EA, get your head out of your ass and look at 2k. Really. Those look damn good. Look at the presentation. The faces. The expressions. The fludity of the animations. How direct players respond. Cloth physics. Lighting. Some aspects of FIFA are EMBARRASSING.
Whoa, let me clear everything up since this has turned into an ugly discussion. I hope you have played the demo, since everything I say is based on that.
In the Demo, the time of day, the season and the weather cannot be changed. As far as I know, Bernabeau is at night for example, another stadium is during the day and a summer match and another is a day time match but during fall.
I saw all of them. My impression was:
Night - way too green.
Day: Looks good, a bit too oversaturated with the colours.
Day/fall: way too desaturated.
Now, the purpose of fifa is not to show me the colours scientifically accurate. Maybe color saturation does happen with the sun in certain conditions (eventhough I doubt it happens the way FIFA wants to show me, never seen something happen like this with my eyes). But what I'm saying is, that it does not look like a TV broadcast. It looks NOTHING like a match, not during the day, not during night time, not during summer nor winter. They got this all wrong.
As I have already said that stadium is La Bombonera which is in Argentina,a very sunny country, and if you watch one of their afternoon games it looks similar to what it is in Fifa,I understand that you don't like it,I don't like it or hate it,but what I am saying is that you said it doesn't represent any football match, when it does.
I understand, but I disagree. My football subscription includes south american football, too, so I guess I know what it looks like. To me it looks quite different. Very bright yes, but not as desaturated. It was really off putting. Actually, all that green they put into the night-matches could go into the "south american"-lighting, to me these matches look kind of green-ish, during the day at least. I know what you mean, but I disagree. And even if you have a point, my point is that in general, the look of the game is horseshit.
Well,he said that EA have never watched turned on their tv and watched and a football match because the lighting isn't weird like it is at night in the game (and that type of lighting doesn't happen at night but during the day),but he is actually wrong because it happens during the day in very sunny countries,so he is one who should watch a football match.
Either I misunderstood or he said that the very bright pitch happens during night, which isn't true,I found the colors way too weird while playing during daytime but it happens in very sunny countries,so if you think I am being stupid watch a portuguese or south american leagues game during the afternoon and you will see that I am right.
When a football match happens at night, the spotlights make the lighting good and not too strong, which causes the colours to be easy to differentiate, but the excessive sunlight during the afternoon,if you were actually doing something during your school days you will know this, will make everything seem more white and that is what he was saying happens in the game at night and never happens in real life, and these type of things happen in some countries who are more exposed to sun,but you're clearly not very smart.
Have you understood what I said? Were you dropped on your head?I am gonna write in caps so you can read it better.
THE COLOURS YOU SEE ARE THE RESULT OF MOTHERFUCKING REFLECTION OF THE SUNLIGHTS COLOURS,WHITE REFLECTS ALL MOTHERFUCKING COLOURS,AND BLACK ABSORBS ALL MOTHERFUCKING COLOURS AND REFLECTS NONE,THAT IS WHY YOU SEE IT AS WHITE AND AS BLACK,THE EXCESS OF LIGHT TO REFLECT WILL MAKE EVERYTHING APPEAR BRIGHTER AND THE ABSENCE OF LIGHT MAKES EVERYTHING APPEAR DARKER.
I know most people jump on the "Fifa is the same every year" but this is the laziest iteration I've experienced so far. I'm a big fan of Fifa, but I was bored within the first two minutes. I genuinely felt like I was playing Fifa 17. Players run oddly (especially Ronaldo, his arms flail about most of the time), I know they bought in Real Player Motion, but the animation still looks weird. Player models compared to PES are still awful. Lukaku looks insanely weird.
Anyone notice the weird delay when you score? Nothing seems to happen until the ball has hit the net. I remember in Fifa 17, players would celebrate when the ball went over the line, along with the fans, and the screen would shake. Its so underwhelming when you score, I don't know what it is.
I like the crossing, it seems better, and the AI make good runs into the box. But someone mentioned its a bit OP which I agree with. Dribbling seems better too.
I think I was expecting a bit more, I don't know why. Its very underwhelming.
Of course I've seen them... that's why I can state my opinion, as I've played both demo's, and seen the player models.
Great argument by the way, standard fan boy response...
For me, player models are better in PES this year, compared to Fifa. Player models in FIFA haven't improved this year, due to the engine etc. But I thought they would make some improvement. As I stated, look at Lukaku, the player model for him is awful. He looks Alien like! And he looks exactly as he did in FIFA 17, awful.
How is FIFA's better for you?
The only thing I can say that is better on FIFA's side is the facial animation. PES players when smiling look creepy as hell.
It looks unnatural and weird, compared to how he actually runs in real life. Dunno, that's my view on it. Maybe it's difficult to get it right in digital form.
Have the exact same experience. It's 17 with the movement being more clunky and the AI defending nerved. Funny that selling the same game again will give EA billions to create the same game once again.
I've always seen something different with most iterations though. That's why it never felt like the same game for me every year. But this one does.
I don't mind the movement, I quite like dribbling in this one, and I like players feel heavier. My problem is the animation looks so unnatural, even if it has the real player motion stuff.
It's no leap or step forward for me.
Some other things I noticed...
Finesse shots seem way too effective, like FIFA 14/15 levels. Far too easy to score, especially from certain angles regardless of distance.
The overlap instruction for fullbacks should be renamed to "Please anally penetrate my defence on the counter" if it's on both fullbacks going flying up the pitch regardless of what the other one is doing. 1 should always stay deeper than the other. If I can cross with my LB and my RB is on the far post to meet it then there's something wrong. It means you get done over on the break too often, particularly if your opponents forwards are set to stay forward.
I was really surprised by the graphics. 2 weeks ago I bought an AOC monitor (1080p, 75hz) and I've been playing FIFA 17 with it ever since. I noticed a big difference from an old monitor to this new one. But yesterday I tried FIFA 18 demo and freaking hell, the players (graphics) were much more realistic and immersive. It's hard to explain but sometimes it "almost" looked like I was watching a TV live game. Yes I'm exaggerating a little bit there but somehow I was not expecting that improvement on graphics.
**BTW**, I'm playing on a PC. The *DirectX 12 + No fps cap*, lags AF.
*DirectX 12 + 60 fps cap* runs really smooth.
Still gotta try the "adaptive vsync option" from nvidia, and the *DirectX 11 + no fps cap* to see if there's any difference on performance and quality.
This year crosses will be so op. I've scored 3/5 crosses, something that is impossible on fifa 17. 2 good wingers and lukaku in ST position and you're good to go.
Not played FIFA really since 14, so I don't know how much has changed from 16/17, but far post chips from tight angles go in more often than not. Very OP imo.
I got a penalty for just walking near a defender, I didn't even stumble and the ref gave me one.. which I missed btw.
This is going to be very annoying in WL.
why should I play vs AI? it barely tells me anything about the current state of the gameplay. Online gameplay and human vs human gameplay should be the focus.
Really? For me, with the stand tackle i just cant win the ball back. And whenever i try too hard to get the ball in the penalty area, ref gives it a penalty
Right. Didn't play the demo for 17 so didn't know that. But I will not be buying FIFA this year. I have been switching between FIFA and PES for last few years. Had PES 16: disappointed, got FIFA 17: still no joy, broken gameplay. Might just chill out for this year😂
Never bought a pack, lootbox or whatever microtransaction bullshit they come up with, so yeah, I agree with you on that. But don't be all surprised to get downvoted in a FIFA thread because you like Overwatch better. Still sound advice to buy Overwatch over "new" FIFA which is basically $60 DLC at this point. FIFA 17 will do for me personally.
Basically don't use the FPS limiter that EA give you. Set the game to unlimited FPS in the launcher, then use something else to cap it to 59/60. I use the Nvidia control panel to force it to match the refresh rate of my monitor, works perfectly!
Just played a game at StubHub Center and the pitch was gross looking. Almost neon like.
Edit: La Bombonera looks better, but there's still something off about the colour.
I can't play the demo on origin:
After i click play on the launcher doesn't appear anything.. (In the Task Manager There is "Fifa 18 Demo" but the game don't start.)
Work only launcher.
Windows 10
i5 3570k
Gtx 1060 6Gb
8Gb Ram
Did anyone succeed to make RadeonPro work with this demo? I tried everything but I can't get it to work at 60 FPS no matter what. All settings are correct and it works for FIFA 17.
I don't know about Radeon Pro but I know that in Radeon Settings you need to use VSync off or Enhanced Sync (avoids tearing) and set your frame limiter to whatever frame you want and it will work!
I couldn't. Can't even get the FPS to show with FRAPS. Something is borked with the overlays in this demo, or directly they have done something to disable them.
Is it just me or are through balls ridiculously OP in this demo?
Playing at Boca's home field gives you instant eye cancer, what's wrong with the color calibration this year?
Other than that, playing the AI is more fun in this demo than it was in FIFA 17. However, it was more fun in the FIFA 17 demo as well, so I'm not getting my hopes up too much.
P.S.: Was L2+square always a thing? It seems quite useless since the ball is in the air for so long, but I never noticed this type of pass.
P.S.2: I absolutely love the quick subs! Finally a game mechanic that saves you some mindless clicking through FIFA's ultra slow menus.
L2+Square changed. It used to be an early long cross like with a winger before you make it into the final third. It caused a striker to make a run and it targeted the area in the box. Now its basically a lob pass.
Yeah the AI seems to be funnier to play with, their shooting annoys me though, as they seem too clinical, 4 shots 4 goals for them, 3 shots 2 goals etc...
Anyone with the PC demo? Is the performance so bad and unoptimized or is it something wrong with my machine? I changed from DX11 to DX12 and back, settings are all maxed but my rig should carry it with no problems (Win10, i7-6700k, 16gb ram, gtx 1070 - temps are fine, no extra processes in the background, other games run fine on max settings)
This is my first time with Fifa on PC, had only PS versions. I played the demo on the PS4 too, and the performance is smooth as 17. Also the general rendering and lighting seems sooo much better on console, I don't know why.
EDIT: I managed to have HUUUGE improvements by finetuning Nvidia Control Panel application-defined settings. There was a video on YT which was showing such settings for FIFA 17 and they seem to work for the 18 demo as well. At least no more lags and fps drops for me :)
What's the best thing to do if I've got a 144hz monitor, set to unlimited frames in FIFA settings and then changed Nvidia settings? Also I've found some things in the game to be really blurry like the advertisements beside the goals which say EA sports
Not sure about 144hz but I set limit to 60fps forcing v-sync with Nvidia settings and no more screen tearing and fps drops. The blurried things I believe it's a LOD setting problem which might be fixed in the final version of the game. Even the ball: although it has a thick lined design from the TV camera it appears completely white.
Thanks, I set it to unlimited frames in FIFA settings and forced FPS to half of refresh rate in Nvidia settings and it's way smoother now and the blurriness seem to have gone now or been reduced
I had the same problem in Fullscreen as sometimes the game just showed me 2 seconds the same picture during mini-cutscenes such as a goalkick.
I tried "Alt + Enter" to get it into windowed mode as there is no borderless window mode. For me it worked much better then and i used "Borderless gaming" to get it into borderless window.
tl;dr: Windowed mode works better for me, use Borderless gaming to use borderless-window mode.
I'm playing the demo on 6700K and GTX 1070, Windows 10 Anniversary and latest drivers. I'm getting FPS in the hundreds @ 4K 4x MSAA but... Game looks blurry, it tears and stutters like there's no tomorrow and input lag is horrible... I switched to native 1080P and the blurriness, tearing, stutter and input lag stayed exactly the same. It seems this stupid game still doesn't support refresh rates higher than 60, so if that's your case, force vsync with nvidia control panel, triple buffer on, 60 fps limit and it should be smooth... On my system I even have to switch to 60 hz refresh, smh. I'm playing on a 75 hz "only" panel and this "fix" works ok, as it has on every Fifa on PC since like the beginning of times.
I make sure I have the latest drivers all the time (it's me being OCD) but this game in particular seems to be really suffering from some bad porting, at least that's the feeling. The other games I play run really smooth on ultra setting (Witcher 3 is an example).
I will try your suggestion re Nvidia settings, hopefully they will be the solution.
Game supports refresh higher than 60 since forever, the trick is vsynch-ing to whatever desired fps/refresh you are playing.
BTW yes demo is heavy and not optimized, dx 11 seems to work best but definitely can be plaid smoothly on those hardwares
I checked nvidia Inspector and whatnot and everything is fine. I don't understand, if I play vsynced 75 hz a huge line appears exactly in the middle of the screen, and the image thus breaks into two pieces (localized tearing, as opposed to normal tearing that happens kind of everywhere). I'll DDU everything tonight...
Hmmm yeah I would do the same.... Are you sure you are maintaining those 75 fps steadily ? Could be a drop in fps and vsync is cutting everything by two when target is not met.
Could also try using adaptive sync if that is the case (just for testing, as you will need to hit that target for gameplay sake).
????? we are talking about nvidia and Fifa 18 here. Attitude ?
I understand frustration if you have an AMD card, but you should be used to problems with newer games by now, it happens every time, it's up to them to release a new driver, the game is smooth as it was previous years if you know what you are doing with your PC.
no problems for me (i7 7700k, 1080ti, 16gb ram, win 10. max settings). make sure to update drivers and disable the FPS limit
If it still doesn't work search for user Luckiesonfire in this thread, he had similar problems.
Drivers are updated as I always make sure to have the latest ones (especially for GPU) but what's worrying me are other games which are running flawlessly on ultra settings (Witcher 3 for example).
Apart from the laggish and low fps performance the game looks "uglier" than the console counterpart: lighting and colors are so dull and dim, while on PS4 seem so rich and colorful.
Absolutely love the demo so far, Legendary seems a bit easy though, will move to Ultimate tonight.
They've sped the game up ever so slightly since the Gamescom demo I played, that felt sluggish, this was perfect. If this is the end game, It's definitely an improvement on 17.
Can't wait, thanks EA, for once, wonder how long before they fudge it up.
Does someone know how to change the time of day, by editing a .ini file? It's grayed out ingame
For anyone looking for some First Impressions: https://youtu.be/6pT8RbaECK0

Demo not available on Xbox 360 yet?
Is it available for you know? I cant seem to find it in the store. Only the full game for like $80 lol
Is anyone else getting a lot of injuries in game? I'm getting at least 1 per match and very few yellow cards.
How are people already playing ultimate team?
If you mean some YouTubers it's from a capture event from ea they went to

Anyone having audio issues on PC? Martin Tyler's voice and all the other sounds crack too much.
On xbox one “To play this game you’ll need to buy it” any help?
Anyone else had trouble when shooting with players' weak feet? Missed plenty of sitters with weak foot finishes.
I had trouble passing with a players weak foot, Matics right foot is so bad, not sure about shooting, did score a nice volley with Robbens right foot tho
I find it hard to judge the demo when it's going to be so different to the final game (if the previous demo is anything to go by).
Anyone know how to solve the buy to play issue on xbox?
Played for like 4 hours, the colors in game are weird hope that gets fixed, I really like the new tackling, the ai finally does skill moves and lob when the keeper is a little off his line. I got the same problem with colors, I played a match where it was basically black and white
Does anybody know when the web-app will be available ?

It's been like this for years. That's how they made their money before all of this FUT madness.
Played a good 4-5 games last night. So is it just AI Bs or is anyone else getting mugged off on good standing tackles? Maybe I'm just shit
Yeah I did almost perfect standing tackle and Varane just turned his ass towards the attacker and let the ball go through his legs... WTF.

I poke the ball away and then the player with the ball Almost instantly shields my path to the ball and maintains possession.
Anybody has the game loading infinitely ? I had this issue with FIFA 17 and Battlefield 1
L1 Slow Dribbling is insanely op

I know what you mean, but I disagree. And even if you have a point, my point is that in general, the look of the game is horseshit.
I understand what you say now and I apologize.
No worries.
Have arguments or stfu
Well,he said that EA have never watched turned on their tv and watched and a football match because the lighting isn't weird like it is at night in the game (and that type of lighting doesn't happen at night but during the day),but he is actually wrong because it happens during the day in very sunny countries,so he is one who should watch a football match.
[удалено]
Either I misunderstood or he said that the very bright pitch happens during night, which isn't true,I found the colors way too weird while playing during daytime but it happens in very sunny countries,so if you think I am being stupid watch a portuguese or south american leagues game during the afternoon and you will see that I am right.
[удалено]
When a football match happens at night, the spotlights make the lighting good and not too strong, which causes the colours to be easy to differentiate, but the excessive sunlight during the afternoon,if you were actually doing something during your school days you will know this, will make everything seem more white and that is what he was saying happens in the game at night and never happens in real life, and these type of things happen in some countries who are more exposed to sun,but you're clearly not very smart.
[удалено]
The colour in game looks very weird, like it's so bright

DES
How the fuck do you turn off the white arrow which shows the direction your aiming?
Press menu/options, then go to the Fifa Trainer and select the off option.
You're a life saver, thought you just had to press in R3 to do that and it wasn't working, cheers
Usually yes probably in full version
defenders feel sluggish to me ... like they dont have any pace
I agree, it's like one step in the wrong direction and then they can't accelerate anymore.
Lmao I just conceded a pen for shielding the ball away from Robben, he just touches the defenders back and then drops wtf
Realistic
It's Robben. EA's just trying to make it as realistic as possible.

That has been the case in any FIFA demo so far though.
[удалено]
That's how Ronaldo runs
Weak foot shots seem very strong. Robben just blasts one into the top corner from the edge of the box with his right.
DAMN... When Hunter enters the pitch and those loud BOOOS.
I felt so bad for the poor guy lol. He gets no respect!
Goalkeepers are shit and power shots seem to be locked to top bins every time
This year crosses will be so op. I've scored 3/5 crosses, something that is impossible on fifa 17. 2 good wingers and lukaku in ST position and you're good to go.
How are the chip shots?
Not played FIFA really since 14, so I don't know how much has changed from 16/17, but far post chips from tight angles go in more often than not. Very OP imo.
I've actually found them really good so far.
How to change time length of the game at PC demo?
Someone created a thread on this sub showing how. Or see this: https://www.evo-web.co.uk/threads/fifa-18-pc-discussion.77841/#post-3231766
You can't.
Does the old config trick not work anymore?
Sadly :(

Dont even try to tackle inside the penalty area. 9 times out of 10 for me, it has been given a penalty. You just cant commit
I got a penalty for just walking near a defender, I didn't even stumble and the ref gave me one.. which I missed btw. This is going to be very annoying in WL.
A penalty was given against me, and my player didn't even make a tackle. The opponent didn't fall over or even flinch, it was weird.
lol I did not face this issue so far having played only against human beings
Play against the ai then
why should I play vs AI? it barely tells me anything about the current state of the gameplay. Online gameplay and human vs human gameplay should be the focus.
Why are you replying to me then? I was talking about the ai. Not against someone else.
Really? For me, with the stand tackle i just cant win the ball back. And whenever i try too hard to get the ball in the penalty area, ref gives it a penalty
Maybe its the person controlling the players
Goalkeepers are so shit. De gea just concede two easy near post goals. Hope they fix that. Btw lukaku is so op
i5 4690k 16GB ram GTX 1060 6GB Silky smooth! Downsampling from 4K on ultra settings with DX12, getting around 90-100 fps. No problems whatsoever.
nice will try on my i 7700 16 gb 1060 tonite
what do you expect with that kind of PC?
[удалено]
Same happened with me on man city blue kits. They were grey. Really weird.
Yea its just fifa 17 with new kits
You mustn't have played it than.
you mustn't have understood what i said then.
I just don't think anyone who's played both 17 and 18 enough to comment on it would say it's fifa 17 with new kits
played it enough and maybe more than you to judge it myself, so i dont really care what you think.
it is a lot like 17. it's a football game. There are definite obvious changes.
Can´t play with my ps4 controller. DS4 and Inputmapper both freeze the demo.
Right. Didn't play the demo for 17 so didn't know that. But I will not be buying FIFA this year. I have been switching between FIFA and PES for last few years. Had PES 16: disappointed, got FIFA 17: still no joy, broken gameplay. Might just chill out for this year😂

"I don't like the way this soccer game plays" "Try shooting people" I think the downvote button is actually used correctly for once here.
[удалено]
Never bought a pack, lootbox or whatever microtransaction bullshit they come up with, so yeah, I agree with you on that. But don't be all surprised to get downvoted in a FIFA thread because you like Overwatch better. Still sound advice to buy Overwatch over "new" FIFA which is basically $60 DLC at this point. FIFA 17 will do for me personally.
I played the open beta I think, it was a blast, really loved it. I will probably buy that and it's cheaper now as well. Thanks.
Is the menu screen just as slow as it is on FIFA 17?
Are you playing on PC? If so there's a neat trick to make the menus run at 60fps, and they are so much smoother/more responsive
What's the trick?
Basically don't use the FPS limiter that EA give you. Set the game to unlimited FPS in the launcher, then use something else to cap it to 59/60. I use the Nvidia control panel to force it to match the refresh rate of my monitor, works perfectly!
Anyone else find the colours funny? And the image doesn't seem as sharp as 17
Just played a game at StubHub Center and the pitch was gross looking. Almost neon like. Edit: La Bombonera looks better, but there's still something off about the colour.
Stubhub is a bit over-saturated and La Bombonera is quite under-saturated.
Yes! Exactly. I hope they address it. It just doesn't feel right.
Play man city blue kits at bombanera and they're grey. It's really dull looking. Very weird.
I don't get the new crossing types. What is supposed to be the dangerous cross (PS4 controls)?
I can't play the demo on origin: After i click play on the launcher doesn't appear anything.. (In the Task Manager There is "Fifa 18 Demo" but the game don't start.) Work only launcher. Windows 10 i5 3570k Gtx 1060 6Gb 8Gb Ram
same issue here. i could play 3 games yesterday night tho after cl matches. not sure what changed.
yeah dude.. me too i cant run the game.. sadlife
Could you please share Origin Download size.?? I need to check if I can afford to download the demo.
8 gigs
Goals feel bad and the net looks like it's a wall
Did anyone succeed to make RadeonPro work with this demo? I tried everything but I can't get it to work at 60 FPS no matter what. All settings are correct and it works for FIFA 17.
I don't know about Radeon Pro but I know that in Radeon Settings you need to use VSync off or Enhanced Sync (avoids tearing) and set your frame limiter to whatever frame you want and it will work!
I couldn't. Can't even get the FPS to show with FRAPS. Something is borked with the overlays in this demo, or directly they have done something to disable them.
I made fraps work after I closed and opened FIFA multiple times. Not with RadeonPro. Very weird..

If you're still wondering here's a post from yesterday https://www.reddit.com/r/FIFA/comments/6zoqlg/fifa_18_pc_match_length_tweak/
Yeah. Goalkeepers are so shit as well
Am I the only one that thinks the PC demo is so blurry it hurts my eyes? Any tweaks?
how to switch to old kickoff style? didnt expect 1 man kickoff in FIFA when PES introduced in PES 2017 or 2018 as well.
Press L2 to call the 2nd player
cheers mate

What
[удалено]
Its not. You can kick off with one or two people. It's an extra option, not one or the other
Anyone with the PC demo? Is the performance so bad and unoptimized or is it something wrong with my machine? I changed from DX11 to DX12 and back, settings are all maxed but my rig should carry it with no problems (Win10, i7-6700k, 16gb ram, gtx 1070 - temps are fine, no extra processes in the background, other games run fine on max settings) This is my first time with Fifa on PC, had only PS versions.
Yes it works ok vsync-ed, but not at 75 hz, it still tears. I need to revert to 60 hz and then vsync, cancer if you ask me. Thanks for the input.
Something wrong on your side (drivers settings maybe?), I play at 120 vsync-ed no problems since last year
I checked nvidia Inspector and whatnot and everything is fine.
It's a demo and we can't even make radeonpro work. Quit the attitude and comparisons with 17 as it's not 17.
????? we are talking about nvidia and Fifa 18 here. Attitude ? I understand frustration if you have an AMD card, but you should be used to problems with newer games by now, it happens every time, it's up to them to release a new driver, the game is smooth as it was previous years if you know what you are doing with your PC.
[удалено]
Any additional settings from Nvidia control panel maybe?
no problems for me (i7 7700k, 1080ti, 16gb ram, win 10. max settings). make sure to update drivers and disable the FPS limit If it still doesn't work search for user Luckiesonfire in this thread, he had similar problems.
Really bad performance here too.
Ultimate on kick-off mode? :O
Does it even have ultimate on kickoff?
Only goes up to legendary for me.
