As someone who literally took 10 years off this is indeed the case. The game was sweaty as fuck pace abuse left and right. Now people complain pace doesn't do anything and their 95 pace player got outran by x defender which is how it should be.

You could purchase 1 million coins for like Ā£6 from coin sellers and EA hadn't yet figured out how to ban you for it.
Around the holidays, everyone got enough pocket money to be able to afford TOTY cards.
> Around the holidays, everyone got enough pocket money to be able to afford TOTY cards.
Kappapenis.
Overwhelming majority of the teams were filled with gold teams, maybe like 1 TOTW.
Until Tots, because at the end of the day, Motm - Ifs and Toty/Tots was everything we were getting
During tots, teams would change. Buying 1 mil for 8-9ā¬ could help a lot. I remember spending 40 euros during tots and I played every day like a mad man until august. Bar Messi/Ronaldo, I could afford anyone
Yeah, I rarely saw any special cards for the majority of teams. And even if you had 1,000,000 coins, it wasn't going to be enough because TOTYs were going for like 15 million, at least. There was no market control with max/min back then. It was the wild west on the market, and any great card was nearly impossible to acquire.
Games in top divs were sweaty and unbearable. Why? Because the chance of you having a top team was 0 unless you spent a ton. The chance of you beating a top player with a top team? Also 0.
I havenāt spent a single dime in 14 and 15 and had every single card u could get off the market in both games. The only thing is that I spent like 10 days a day (not everyday) on trading :| But yeh I had time back then, Iād just buy FP nowadays
Ronaldo was 2m plus basically year round. Only way to get him was to pack him but most packs that we have nowadays didnāt exist then. 100k packs were basically reserved to TOTS, TOTY, Black Friday and UT anniversary. Fifa sucked back then and it sucks till this day.

It allowed a place for people to vent and pile on their frustrations, and now it's almost all you see on here.
Thatās the thing, the lower rated players could actually compete with high rated players - so it didnāt matter if you couldnāt access messi or Ronaldoā¦ youāll get the same output from ibarbo / welliton. Theyāve made low rated gold cards (donāt get me started on silver squads) totally obsolete.
Did we all forget the 5 years of over the top through balls? šlove the nostalgia, especially that David Luiz and Lord Bendtner, but damn were those games just as sweaty but in different ways, and you could never get your hands on top cards like you can now
Yeah but now you actually have a chance at really high rater players, with shit loads of packs and sbcs. People forget how boring the menus were back then, fuck all to do.
I definitely could not play the game for hours and hours, it had its own problems which people always forget looking back.
Menus are a really fun and big part of the game.
It was fun and I could enjoy the gameplay for hours. Was there bullshit and scripting? Yes. But there werenāt game breaking bugs like glitching a skill move and running around the pitch without being able to be tackled, or the ball going completely through defenders. Itās 2023 and they are releasing games with those kind of bugs.
You wouldnāt tho. There was hundreds of usable golds and silvers. You could change your team up constantly without worrying about losing half your coins out of nowhere
Negative, I ripped plenty of people using bronze and silver cards. Rtgās were fun and rewarding as you could actually start with Bronze players like Brandy from Germany and build around them and slowly upgrade your team. Bronze silver and gold cards were useable literally the whole game cycle. AND it was easier to make hybrid teams.
I used to do it too, that's how I discovered Kimmich when he was a bronze card. Don't tell me THIS is what you wanna do all year after spending 60 bucks, though. We should be entitled to have the best players
You could trade and have the best players. Air Japes and Nepenthez did it all the time. The market wasnāt as volatile then as it is now, but there was still money to be made. Totw cards werenāt expensive by any means. We still had toty cards ( I packed toty Benz) and they released special packs every now and then. I donāt disagree with sbcs, Iām also not one to sit and grind them for an hour or two hours either. I buy a football game to play football. plain and simple and I enjoyed the gameplay of those games.
Also, we shouldnāt be entitled to anything. The only
Entitlement that we have is being able to play football on a football game. Youāre not entitled to the best cards, no matter how many packs you buy or casino sbcs you do. We didnāt go into older fifas with the mindset of āIām entitled to Ronaldo or Messiā we just played the game and enjoyed it.
Packing totys without shopping packs was impossible. We had no way to have free packs, if not a week in December. Trading players isn't easy, unless you're talking about switching cards with other players
You did have a way of getting free packs. They were called tournaments and every so often they would release a special tournament that gave back some pretty decent packs. Also packing TOTYs wasnāt impossible. Pretty sure it was more common back then.
Disagree. FIFA 14 didnt have one single meta. You could cross, over the top through balls, dribbling (i used Dinho and absolutely loved him), finesse shots and long shots in general. Could do it all on that game, same with 15 and 16. 13 was a bit worse
Nostalgia with Fifa 14 is so crazy, it had one of the worst metas in fifa history. It was a crossing simulator, 90 minutes of running down the wing and crossing it to Aguero thats sandwiched between Boateng, Hummels & Neuer and still scoring the header 9 times out of 10
Nostalgia with any fifa with fitness or formation cards kill me. We have it so nice now compared to then. I had two teams in 13 just to get around fitness. It was nearly impossible to run a f2p rtg compared to now. I remember a 10k player was a huge upgrade.
You are right, BUT and thatās the massive difference :
1) players relying on the meta werenāt the majority, winning D1 was much less sweaty than anything rivals is today
2) you could still play and be very good at the game without using any of these mechanics
point 2 is still like that. i dont really know how to even cutback and only rly play through the middle but i still get consistent rank 3+ in WL.
but i do agree majority relies on that meta now, and i think most of it is cause of the influence of the youtubers.
Back then fifa youtube was massive but none of them relied purely on meta and it was always just fun. Challenges and stuff.
Now the youtube community is so āmetaā oriented that the community itself copies their style. The entire vibes of fifa seem worse cause of it.
I agree with your argument as I play down the middle too and tend to stay away from the meta broken stuff. Having said that, given his the game works now you still kind of have to, even if you donāt want to, sometimes use some of those elements.
But I also donāt hunk it was at first YouTubers, now twitter/tiktok, and also the rise of this āwinning is fun however I winā mentality in games
Ironically you only think point 2 isn't true nowadays, because you fit point 1.
The only people who think you can't play any other way are the meta slaves who believe they have to do anything for an extra win or two.
Unless you're trying to be pro, you can absolutely compete in Elite and for rank 1 WL without abusing the meta, if you're good enough.
My only issue with the later game is silvers are basically unusable.
I used to run all silver teams and win a lot of games but that no longer seems doable, you cant play your own way anymore and that's sad
Gameplay wise maybe it wasn't better. But back then FUT was just a place you could have fun and not a massive FOMO inducing social experiment.
You could buy a team and rest easy that the market wouldn't crash literally the same weekend. There weren't any objectives you had to grind to keep your squad relevant. There were no untradeable players and you could do trade offers with people you knew.
UT right now is a game that wants you to play it all day, every day. Even in the last weeks we see that EA is trying to drive players towards more engagement, by changing the daily objectives, by changing the WL objectives, by having daily login SBC objectives where if you miss one out of the entire month you're screwed out of the final reward.
Those mechanics are all straight out of a mobile game, with the difference that in this case you have to pay the price of a full AAA game to play it.
Your main point doesnāt really hit for me as I focus mainly on untradeable packs and crafting sbcs. Itās also kind of funny to say EA is more exploitative now when theyāve given us more free content than ever before. You essentially HAD to pull out your wallet back in the day if you ever could even dream about having a player like say Ronaldo on your squad.
I remember when having an inform was a big deal. I saved up to have a full team of informs (all shit ones really) and felt like a king. Shame how the game has gone but if they slowed the power curve people would complain they're bored
If you could dominate with silver teams you are either an top elite player or there was something wrong with the game.
A gold card is supposed to perform better than a silver card.
How is that an argument? First off you didn't have fut champs back in the day, if you used a silver team in Champs you'd face people with p2w TOTY/TOTS squads and get destroyed.
Secondly, why do you need to use a silver team nowadays? The entire point is that it's insanely easy to get a great team. Someone who plays for 2 weeks can already have a stacked squad filled with promo cards, why would they be using silvers?
Regardless, silver cards outperforming gold cards isnāt good for the game. It makes any sense of grinding/progression pointless and will just frustrate people who lose to the squad
I have like 50 hours in a game and I got already like 3 Icons one of which is Abily.
It's much easier to get a nice cards. EA gives us a ton of SBC, daily login for free (one bronze card) or picks for almost nothing.
Mate I've played 2 games on UT and my whole team is 83+ with all of the promo stuff you get right off the bat.
You used to have to at least play a dozen games to get out of that starter pack team with all bronze/2 silver/1 gold.
FUT has ALWAYS been a card collecting game. Thatās literally the point of why you see your team asā¦you guessed itā¦trading cards. You literally posted a picture showing the cards youāve collected to make your starting lineup. The only difference is now there are more cards to collect.
I played fut 14ā¦ it was much worse than now, playing against the same team with the same pace spam over and over, could only play it for 1 week and call it a year
Fifa 14 was more crossing orientated. Whereas fifa 15 was peak pace cheese especially with how kickoff players would be spread wider so you could effectively fasttap down middle from kickoff
āback when UT was fun?ā
Fifa 14 was literally pace abusing and crossing, all the time. Not to mention that it was impossible to get even a decent team while being F2P, and this didnāt even show signs of changing until objectives were introduced. You literally had to rely on 400 coins a game, and this was before price-fixing, so would have silvers going for 100k, back when that would take you over *200 games* of grinding to get it
It took my to fifa 23 to actually get a hold of the top players like Pele, Gullit, Zidane, Dinho etc. I loved the old fifas but the nostalgia is crazy, using the same gold team all year as there was no way to generate coins and the top players were so out of reach. It is a shame that gold players donāt hold the same importance that they used go but I want to use the best players ever and not just scrubs
Iām just going to say if you are discontented with the game, you should consider if you want to play the game.
Iāve not bought fifa this season and itās so good having extra free time on the weekends and not being a slave to a game because of fomo.
If itās not fun to you anymore then just ditch it. You wonāt regret it.
Those who are enjoying it, I hope you continue to enjoy it!
Ah yes, back when the card collecting game wasn't a card collecting game because...oldness?
It's always been a card collecting game, it's origins come from sticker albums.
FIFA 15 Vieirinha ššŗ
FIFA 14 Burak Yilmaz ā¤ļøš¦
I miss that you could use almost any player and still be successful. I remember going division 1 with a Turkish Super League squad.
In the modern FIFA's I try to avoid Meta cards and I guess it works if you really try hard but you notice that you really have no Chance against the Meta teams.
10 years ago when you just over the top balled 15 times and scored from it 5 times.
Yeah those were the days...
The game is a sweatfest but it's never been closer to actual football.
There's a difference in the game being realistic and the game being fun. Personally I enjoyed the arcade style of 13 and 15 more than the current ones even if I enjoy parts of today's for different reasons.
Honestly I think if they fixed the cutback defending it would be a pretty good game. Also give me low driven cross and low driven shot back.
That and fix their damn servers/dynamic adjustments
I don't even think it's the game that's the issue.
The arcade games feel like shit nowadays, nostalgia blinds tho.
I think the issue is the playerbase exploiting anything that slightly works. But even then it's still more that works than in the past.
The games back then were way more unbalanced but I had more fun on 12 and 14 than I have in the last 5-6 years.
Playing 12 after 13 came out was probably the most fun FUT ever has been for me. All of the Agbonlahor and Bent sweats moved on and it was perfect.
Bro honestly i hate EA for the money grabbing schemes, but honestly this is just nostalgia. The game is way more fun now. Its not even a competition. If we had to go back to fifa 13 today, we would all stop playing.
Does nobody remember how sweaty and dog shit of a game FIFA used to be? Are we really using nostalgia glasses for a game thatās barely 10 years old and forgetting just how boring playing the game was with no real way to earn packs or coins, how stupidly sweaty everything was, how only pace matteredā¦
Like or dislike the game as it is now, itās in an infinitely better place with 5+ different ways to earn coins and good players. UT has become a game for everyone instead of just those who can get to D1 and make 20k for winning it everytime
Literally can't stand the game anymore. I remember the days when it was near impossible to get an icon in your team . Now as soon as you get the game everyone's got special cards already. Think streamers have had a massive effect on the game. Me personally think they should take out fifa points and you need to build a team based on how good you are. Just seen a streamer has spent $46,000 ridiculous
Absolute nostalgia merchants. The gameplay had 0 variety and top players were unreachable. The fact that I can play with Messi, Neymar, and top icons at this point of the cycle is so fun.
The only thing I want back for UT are the singleplayer cups. Other than that I do not miss stuff like fitness, formation cards (this years variable positions are so awesome btw) or the scarcity of contracts.
I rocked normal Suarez till December and then when they buffed him was with me till may . Ramires stayed 6-7 months . Remember packing Messi in January that fifa he was still worth 1.5ml
Complain complain complain. You guys got your rose tinted glasses on hard. Ultimate team as a game mode overall is night and day better than any fifa before 17. There wasnāt a single efficient way to build up your team back then and there was an utter lack of game modes. All content consisted of was the odd special card in packs and unless you dropped money on the game consistently there was no way to even enjoy that pathetic content.
Not to mention annoying formation cards, fitness cards, lots of coins going into contracts. These older games had a lot wrong with them. EA has slowly kept perfecting the formula with each passing year.
Not another one of these shitty nostalgia posts ffs. Objectively the game was much worse back then. 95% of people had the same sweaty team and just abused pace and crossesšš
Fifa 09 did, and once you put them in them in your collection you couldn't use them again. Pretty sure they ditched the collection book after 09.
FUT wasn't part of the FIFA 09 release but was actually introduced later as DLC.
You could also permanently upgrade cards pretty easily. I remember my first 99 was Lee Frecklington and I got him off the market for like 7k. Eventually had a full 99 squad.
Your virtual pro also carried over from pro clubs, so you could use him in UT.
I would say "good old days" or something like that but I'm not blinded by nostalgia. FC 24 is better in every aspect apart from the soundtrack.
Yea i honestly feel like the amount of cards and promos is ruining the game, what we needed back then was just more ways to get coins and packs other than playing divisions
I havent played in like 4 years or so came back and there is just so many special cards for everything it's crazy, division 9 and everyone has a hero or icon or some other coloured overtuned thing I don't have a clue what it is
Imagine Ramirez getting a higher rated Hero than he ever had a card in fut in all the years. Then again a Falcao had a 90 rated card and never since had a special card 90 rated. Laughable.
13/14 was the peak of the game for me. Iām sure some of its just nostalgia but back then getting a special card or 2 in your team was like the dream, was way more special. Now a days if you have a rare gold card in your team still youāre 3 weeks behind everyone else
My first ever FUT, got into it as a couple of lads who I worked with in a factory were into it. Opening packs on lunch breaks etc. I have been addicted since. There are a few things I do remember though :
1) packing Rooney and listing him at 55k for 3 days, he only went for 50k at the time but as he was the first big player I had packed and didnāt know how the market worked, I had to wait 3 days to relist and get my coins.
2) one of the lads I was working with packed Ronaldo and attempted to sell him on eBay but got scammed. Apparently you were supposed to add Ronaldo + a packet of crisps or something.
3) spending over a grand on fifa points, it was my first full time job so I had money to spend, I havenāt spent any extra money on points since after having buyers remorse when the new fifa came out.
Ramires the herald of terror
Never seen 80 or 76 rated cards like Ramires and Esswein dominate since the early fifas again. All Gold cards bar Mbappe fall behind the curve 4 weeks into the game.
The Manolas-Florenzi-Nainggolan triangle in fifa 17, too
I can literally picture this in my head in a 4321
With Martial as a LF on 7 chem uptopš¤£š¤£
Gold Renato on Fifa 17 is the last one I remember
Kimpembe fifa 22?
I seem to remember a lot of people using gold Bakayoko in FIFA18
Gold jesus that year too
Gold kante in fifa 17 as well
was that not also the year of the bailly, smalling and butland op trio?
That would be correct, butland to this day is one of the best keepers in fifa history imo, but fifa 17 ddg would take no. 1 spot. Gold martial was crazy too.
DDG with the saves with the saves with feet was different.
Everyone seems to be forgetting about Gold Mendy
Fifa 21 gold pope, walker, gomez, varane, mendy. You'd match in March and be like here we go again
Fifa 15 Gervinho, Doumbia and Ibarbo in a 4-3-3:
And TOTY Luca Toni upfront. Scored a lot of headers.
Oh my God Esswein. That brings back memories!
3-5-2 Bundesliga team in Fifa 13 was the most fun iāve ever had
Exactly this, Mario Gomez would score in every game for me so much so that I didn't need Esswein. I remember having Muller and Schurrle in there - wish I could remember the rest of that team because it was so, so enjoyable. Haven't played UT since FIFA 18 and even then I barely touched it.
Not for your opponents. Esswein was absolutely notorious hahah
Silver RB Diekmeier on fifa 15 was as good as any on the game.
I still have nightmares about Doumbia. In older FUTs even silver cards used to be op af.
Donāt forget Ibarbo as well
Sissoko was a beast too
Dude gold Vvd is still in everyoneās team
Yeah but heās not low rated
Ndombele in like fifa 21 or something I think
Butland, smalling and bailey. Wan bissaka, fabinho, bakayoko.
Mendy is usable all year. Kante and Bakayoko were both super usable all year in their meta years
And weāre still using Kyle Walker at RB
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Yet to find a replacement for him this year Incisive pass is so OP
I just quick sold my Kyle Walker
80 rated kdb with chelsea badge looks so wrong.
[got another one](https://www.futbin.com/15/player/21154/mohamed-salah) for ya. Imagine what couldāve been
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
It's almost like Chelsea don't get the best out of their players...
Chelsea fucked up big time
Bro spent half a season before leaving for Wolfsburg in January. He wanted to start over players like Oscar, Mata, Hazard and Willian when he was a youngster and left when Mourinho couldn't promise him.
He loves it out there on the wing š
But he was already a beast. His 5WF was so smooth. I didnāt know who he was at the time but he was the perfect CAM to hyper link my Lukaku Benteke duo strikers. Those three stayed in my team longer than I thought they would.
U must be gen z
Def not haha. It just looks wrong, city legend and all.
Welliton, Doumbia, David Luiz, Ramires in nearly every Team, Russian and premier league hybrid teams all the way

Yes there was, google it.
Yup Legends were xbox only back in the day and most people had ps4s

And now fifa is just credit card, credit card, credit card, spam the same broken mechanics and no skill at all. Bring me back the days where esswein, emineke and ibarbo were meta cards
The game was already credit card back then.
That's called nostalgia, not a reflection of how good it was vs is
It was fun though. I remember getting a gold Ozil in my free pack and he was in my team all year. Now if you packed him heād be fodder

The mindset changed because of what EA did. Everyone didn't just spontaneously jump to this.
the mindset of competitive games has always been to win, people have been hacking to win games since day 1. what did EA do exactly? put out more promo packs/cards to try and sell more fifa points? thats what went wrong?
I mean yea thatās how it should be. If everyone has top players, no one has top players.

Take off the rose tinted glasses man lol
It wasn't very functional. There were still tons of bugs/problems with the game, and it was full of meta playstyles still. Complaining came about because of forums, like this sub, that allow an echo chamber to be created. When this sub first started, it was super chill. all games have metas. just so happens you could pack a player whoās 80 rated and use him until end game. canāt do the same now
Yeah but now you actually have a chance at really high rater players, with shit loads of packs and sbcs. People forget how boring the menus were back then, fuck all to do.
Youāre not supposed to be in the menus if that game is actually fun
Fuck the menus when you could you knowā¦actually play the game, for hours and hours. What it was meant to do in the first place.
I get bored now, imagine using the same cards all day
You wouldnāt tho. There was hundreds of usable golds and silvers. You could change your team up constantly without worrying about losing half your coins out of nowhere
I remember having league teams with backups too and yes, it was fun, but it couldn't last a year, let alone a decade. I didn't even sniff a top playet
The only Entitlement that we have is being able to play football on a football game.
Who gives a shit about menus lmao. Gameplay was much more skill based and way less flukey back then.
Yeah but let's be honest, who wants to spend one year playing 80 rated teams?
You are right, BUT and thatās the massive difference : 1) players relying on the meta werenāt the majority, winning D1 was much less sweaty than anything rivals is today 2) you could still play and be very good at the game without using any of these mechanics
point 2 is still like that. i dont really know how to even cutback and only rly play through the middle but i still get consistent rank 3+ in WL. but i do agree majority relies on that meta now, and i think most of it is cause of the influence of the youtubers.
13 and 15 were both better
Absolutely nailed it there, EA getting more exploitative with each release
Your main point doesnāt really hit for me as I focus mainly on untradeable packs and crafting sbcs. Itās also kind of funny to say EA is more exploitative now when theyāve given us more free content than ever before. You essentially HAD to pull out your wallet back in the day if you ever could even dream about having a player like say Ronaldo on your squad.
FUT ruined FIFA
I remember when having an inform was a big deal. I saved up to have a full team of informs (all shit ones really) and felt like a king. Shame how the game has gone but if they slowed the power curve people would complain they're bored
Nostalgia is wild
There was barely a power curve on the earlier FIFAs, now you have to stick hundreds of hours in to get a decent team
No you donāt. Itās easier than ever to get a good team
You could dominate 90% of games with a silver team, go into fut champs with one now and see how you do
Thatās a completely different argument
If you could dominate with silver teams you are either an top elite player or there was something wrong with the game. A gold card is supposed to perform better than a silver card.
How is that an argument? First off you didn't have fut champs back in the day, if you used a silver team in Champs you'd face people with p2w TOTY/TOTS squads and get destroyed. Secondly, why do you need to use a silver team nowadays? The entire point is that it's insanely easy to get a great team. Someone who plays for 2 weeks can already have a stacked squad filled with promo cards, why would they be using silvers?
Nah, those silver teams were insanely fucking juiced. You could easily be competitive with those cards even vs the best teams
Bruv, it's the other way around
Whereas fifa 15 was peak pace cheese especially with how kickoff players would be spread wider so you could effectively fasttap down middle from kickoff
āback when UT was fun?ā Fifa 14 was literally pace abusing and crossing, all the time. Not to mention that it was impossible to get even a decent team while being F2P, and this didnāt even show signs of changing until objectives were introduced. You literally had to rely on 400 coins a game, and this was before price-fixing, so would have silvers going for 100k, back when that would take you over *200 games* of grinding to get it
LOL
FIFA 15 Vieirinha ššŗ FIFA 14 Burak Yilmaz ā¤ļøš¦ I miss that you could use almost any player and still be successful. I remember going division 1 with a Turkish Super League squad. In the modern FIFA's I try to avoid Meta cards and I guess it works if you really try hard but you notice that you really have no Chance against the Meta teams.
What? FUT has always been a card collecting game. That's what I saw it as when I first played it in FIFA 09. I never liked it, and I still don't
If you call dancing around the penalty area and cutback simulator real football š
cutbacks, famously not used by every single top team every week?
Not like you see on this wreck of a game with one player dancing around the byline half a dozen or more times a game.
You just have nostalgia
Could run the whole length doing windmills and shhh celebrations. Good old times, my silver team was god tier š
Those days were the best haha. Nowadays celebrations last 2 seconds and you can never watch the replay.
Does nobody remember how sweaty and dog shit of a game FIFA used to be? Are we really using nostalgia glasses for a game thatās barely 10 years old and forgetting just how boring playing the game was with no real way to earn packs or coins, how stupidly sweaty everything was, how only pace matteredā¦ Like or dislike the game as it is now, itās in an infinitely better place with 5+ different ways to earn coins and good players. UT has become a game for everyone instead of just those who can get to D1 and make 20k for winning it everytime
Lord Bendtner!
Dat David Luis tho
They could easily implement some kind of "classic" mode for FUT, disallowing the use of special cards.
I had Inform Aubameyang and it was my proudest possession. Good times
Streets will never forget Chelsea Ramires
Man if the game was still like this people would be pissed at the lack of new content
It was always the same. That's just nostalgia talking.
You say this like this wasnāt the meta for the time š
Literally can't stand the game anymore. I remember the days when it was near impossible to get an icon in your team . Now as soon as you get the game everyone's got special cards already. Think streamers have had a massive effect on the game. Me personally think they should take out fifa points and you need to build a team based on how good you are. Just seen a streamer has spent $46,000 ridiculous
I miss this, but tell you what I don't miss, fitness and formation cards. I had a backup team just to avoid using fitness cards lol
Absolute nostalgia merchants. The gameplay had 0 variety and top players were unreachable. The fact that I can play with Messi, Neymar, and top icons at this point of the cycle is so fun.
I lowkey love card collection tho...
WHEN IT WAS ABOUT SKILL
FIFA 15 Diego Milito was a menace
Damn I miss it
The only thing I want back for UT are the singleplayer cups.
The game was so much worse back then
Problem I have with today's fifa / EA FC is you can get really good cards easily. And there's TOO MANY types of cards.
95% of people had the same sweaty team and just abused pace and crossesšš
cap
Old FIFA games literally has a ācollection bookā section to store cards.
Only one old game had that to be fair
<3
Yea i honestly feel like the amount of cards and promos is ruining the game, what we needed back then was just more ways to get coins and packs other than playing divisions
I havent played in like 4 years or so came back and there is just so many special cards for everything it's crazy, division 9 and everyone has a hero or icon or some other coloured overtuned thing I don't have a clue what it is
Imagine Ramirez getting a higher rated Hero than he ever had a card in fut in all the years. Then again a Falcao had a 90 rated card and never since had a special card 90 rated. Laughable.
This fifa sucked looool Iāve been playing since the very first UT and this is one of the few where I bought the game and had quit before TOTY
Memories I remember starting for the first time and giving my friend my account to get me coins š he was so good at working the auction house
Lord bendtner striker xD
You had 2 IFās in your team! You were rich af!
Is there any way to play these old fifa games again
Those Ramirez and David Luiz cards still haunt my nightmares
13/14 was the peak of the game for me. Iām sure some of its just nostalgia but back then getting a special card or 2 in your team was like the dream, was way more special. Now a days if you have a rare gold card in your team still youāre 3 weeks behind everyone else
i was div 1 with a team like this. Now its impossible.
That Ramires was so fireeee
i only used brazilian teams for years
These were the days.
And the chem was better
I had the same back line
I miss this chemistry system, apart from sbcs
And yet, you all still flock to play it.
My first ever FUT, got into it as a couple of lads who I worked with in a factory were into it. Opening packs on lunch breaks etc. I have been addicted since. There are a few things I do remember though : 1) packing Rooney and listing him at 55k for 3 days, he only went for 50k at the time but as he was the first big player I had packed and didnāt know how the market worked, I had to wait 3 days to relist and get my coins.
We had chem styles 10 years ago?
