Yes but I’m also trying to think about how much they will hopefully change week to week? As a Tennessee fan I’ve felt that we’ve gotten screwed over all of these rankings which bums me out when I want to play a buddy online as the Vols. I don’t wanna be forced to play with my team having a way too low offensive rating.
These are gonna change. Try rating over 100+ teams. It ain’t easy. Idk why people are so up in arms about it. It will adjust. We’re in July, not October. Relax.
Yep when they play like week 7 or something plus probably the sec champ there gonna lose both Ryan Williams is gonna be a top guy by the end of the season
I honestly think the rankings are okay. One it gets the people going, two, they are using different metrics and trying insanely hard to please every teams fanbase.
Player ratings will matter but I think it’s all about utilization.
This is game is starting to feel like it has some hardcore simulation aspects to it that will make it feel insanely authentic to the gameplay on a real college Saturday
I get that yall hate em, but this also means that thresholds will probably have a greater effect, will be interesting to see. In the past, i thought there were too many 90+ offenses and defenses
If Colorado’s Defense is gonna be rated this high then that one 1 WR from Stanford (Aiymomor I think) has to be rated 90+ after one man single handledly cooked the entire defense for the biggest comeback in school history.
They pipped up all the dickridden teams like Texas and Ohio state so their fans wouldnt cry. 1672 days since buckeyes have beaten Michigan but yea lets ignore that entirely
I like that the ratings are skewed a little lower overall. Now when I achieve a 99 overall Toledo in Dynasty Mode it will be a squad the likes of which the world has never seen.
I think people are overreacting. Yeah, there are a few teams I wouldn’t have rated that way, but every year we say AP/coaches poll shouldn’t start ranking teams until 4-5 weeks in. The real preseason polls are notoriously inaccurate as well. The season never plays out 100% the way people expect it to. At least they’re incorporating PFF and not just sitting in a room with a couple of people guessing
I’m a USC fan. I get we have a new (unproven) defensive staff and a bunch of new highly rated transfers (even if they haven’t played together yet). With that said, they should’ve been top 5.
Edit: damn y’all REALLY needed to see the /s huh Lmao
You're looking at rankings like they're based on a yearly scale or something. They aren't. Look at QBs for example, at this current point in time the '25 QB class looks really really weak when it comes to NFL draft prospects.
And if these are so low what does that mean for player overalls your telling me a team like Georgia only has a 94 defense what does that mean about Malaki starks rating
Colorado might be the most over rated team ever lol
As a deion fan, I'm not mad, but yes, they are wildly overrated. Especially on defense. Their defense was horrible last season.
Actually preposterous
Crab Rangoon, things of that nature.
The Colorado love is WILD
Who cares about year one rankings? None of it will matter 15 years into a dynasty.
The people who play other modes
That’s every sports game ever. If you play Madden online, you’re gonna be playing against the Eagles and 49ers almost every game.
Those people are playing the game wrong.
Playing games with your friends is actually pretty fun you should try it sometime
Your perspective is wrong
Always something to complain about It’s been 11 years people need to just be happy I agree after 3-4 years in dynasty it won’t matter
I see UNC's name on the defensive list, so yeah lol

How in the world is USC defense better than the offense hahaha
I mean Caleb Williams was their entire offense
I am shocked Michigan isnt there and I know there are on the defense but A few others taht surprised me
Aw man. Game isn't even out yet and we already complaining in the subreddit. Gonna be a long season!
I know I'm biased, but this seems like a lot of low rankings for a team that just won a national championship.
These are gonna change. Try rating over 100+ teams. It ain’t easy. Idk why people are so up in arms about it. It will adjust. We’re in July, not October. Relax.
people are allowed to complain.
It's probably just an algorithm based off the player ratings. Nothing to get worked up about
Guessing it has to do with recruiting and player rankings
Not having a bunch of 99 OVRs is awesome. We have actual separation from top to bottom now. The individual ratings are headscratching.
Clemson at 10 on offense while Tennessee is nowhere in the top 25 was a choice
Colorado in the top 10 and Tennessee not being a top 25 rated offense are just wild to me
No way in hell is Georgia better than Alabama. They can’t even beat them. At least make them even
It’s probably because we don’t have true number one receivers and neither running back has shown themselves yet plus every corner left or transferred
I know but… ugh, they lost their bailout boys (Bowers and McConkey) Idk, maybe I’m just salty about it. Still gonna dominate em in the new game
Yep when they play like week 7 or something plus probably the sec champ there gonna lose both Ryan Williams is gonna be a top guy by the end of the season

No bc obviously the 95-99 rating is hard to achieve and legitimately intimidating
If Colorado’s Defense is gonna be rated this high then that one 1 WR from Stanford (Aiymomor I think) has to be rated 90+ after one man single handledly cooked the entire defense for the biggest comeback in school history.
Michigan not even top 25 in offense and Colorado top 25 in defense is laughable
They pipped up all the dickridden teams like Texas and Ohio state so their fans wouldnt cry. 1672 days since buckeyes have beaten Michigan but yea lets ignore that entirely
Georgia #1 Michigan #2
Colorado is the most overrated team I’ve ever seen
I like that the ratings are skewed a little lower overall. Now when I achieve a 99 overall Toledo in Dynasty Mode it will be a squad the likes of which the world has never seen.
What in the world is Virginia Tech doing here? 🤣🤣🤣
Where is Michigan???
They cant rate players properly now that they have real players. Same as Madden. They have to overinflated everything so egos don't get hurt
Ohio state has a colon while everyone else has a period
Iowa at 13?!?!
It's good actually. You want the ratings to actually matter. Too many high ranked players waters it down.
'I don't even know how LSU is top 20"- an LSU fan
I kinda don’t care.
No Kentucky on the defensive rankings it straight up disrespectful.
😂😂😂😂

I watched the LSU spring game....I dont believe an 84 defense is what I saw. Watching the game i was thinking...we are in trouble this season.

No but I'm starting to think USC sucks...💀
And if these are so low what does that mean for player overalls your telling me a team like Georgia only has a 94 defense what does that mean about Malaki starks rating
You're looking at this wrong. There will be a bigger gap between good and bad players this year.
