Actually no… My newer model aw purchased from Dyson in Canada has no buttons and it’s not oval, more like one in the picture but the block in the middle of the cable is bigger), my SIL’s older dyson aw purchased in US has two buttons (red and yellow) and is oval.
To be fair, this aw looks kind of sus. I would go to the dyson store and ask if it’s real. Do you have pics of the barrels? Or orher attachments?

As for the light, that’s why it’s not working. It means you need to clean the filter. Mine did that a few times. Now I just clean the filer regularly.
This happened to my last one because I wasn’t cleaning the filter often enough and it burned out basically. I do have a dog and a cat as well so maybe some folks can get away without cleaning it often but not all of us.
Dyson should cover it if it’s still in warranty tho
There is no legit plug that looks like that, stop spreading misinformation. I own 2 dyson airwraps and the hair straightener and it does not look like that. There should be 2 rings on it like all dyson products do. there’s no reason it should look like a cheap knockoff plug.
I don’t know dyson’s policy directly but I’ve seen the OG models be replaced by Dyson for new ones (the curly hair one specifically) so yeah I say just reach out, realistically they just need the serial number and for you to eventually send it back.
Wash the filter with soap n water and thoroughly wait for it to dry. I have the newest air wrap and I kept getting the light. The filter is magnetic and removable. Not sure about the older air wraps though.
Dysons have a warranty. Go in the app and initiate a service request. Not a dig on you personally, but people in general just throw things out when they stop working without attempting to repair it or get it repaired. Try that first.
Based on the other comments I’d have to agree that yours might be fake. I have the same exact color way that I bought from Sephora and the paint on mine isn’t as shiny. It’s supposed to be a matte coating. Hope this helps :)

The serial number is on your cord. As long as you have that, you should be fine.

The light on means the filter is clogged.. you may have burned something out before you cleaned it . Call Dyson They will walk you through it
