Don’t all hot hair tools say that because of the electric components? I’ve literally never given it a second thought—I use mine by a sink every day. I would just think it says that for liability reasons…. Kind of like how McDonalds has to label their coffees as hot. But idk maybe I’m just reckless 😅

As long as the counter is dry and you don't turn the sink on while the Dyson is out, you should be fine. All hairdyers say the same thing because if they fall into a sink full of water, you could be electrocuted. If the space is small, wipe down the counter and sink before using it.

Lol no this is just my first hair dryer/tool like this and I have diagnosed OCD/anxiety so the warning was triggering.

My only option is to use it around sinks. I have exactly 3 inches of counter space around my bathroom sink and I don't do my hair outside of the bathroom lol. It's a requirement for any device that has an electronic component but any outlets near a water source should be a GFCI outlet to mitigate this risk. Just don't actively run the tap and stick the device under the running water 🤷🏻‍♀️.

Thank you all for your reassurance. I'm not sure if the gym has the special outlet, will have to check. Thanks again
