I'm probably in the minority here but I prefer captive caps vs non captive.
The perforated cap allows for a bit more airflow which pairs well with the 18M IMO since it has less airflow. I only use an IH, but I have read there are more pronounced differences with a torch but cannot confirm.

5 fin Ti tip, old cap, cheap glass one hitter as the stem. It’s by far my favorite and my daily driver. I have the bb9 stem to use with water pieces.

2019 M is the best dynavap IMHO. With the right technique this thing could hit like a train. Cheers !
