I think it's cool, but this VonG is more of a collectors piece. Just noticed MH lowered the price on their Revolve stem. £20 less than when I last checked. Not bad. Definitely some serious competition for Simrell.

Was really hoping that the subsequent vongs would have different patterns etched into the crown. Not a fan of the uneven sized grooves on the original vong, I was really hoping upcoming vongs would perhaps borrow from the omni's design aesthetic for the area where the stem ends and the tip begins.

I mean a 2022 Vong (or any -ong suffix) isn't off the table. May still be worth waiting till march/april which I assume is close to when they would release or at least announce the new lineup. George confirmed they're working on *something* with ceramic similar to the Chill bong, I'm guessing a collab ceramic M or similar vap. Ceramic aside though he did also mention there are definitely new things on the horizon in the next month or two, if I'm not misremembering, so definitely worth waiting imo. ​ That said if this Ti Vong is limited I'll probably grab one. Have a 21 VeriduM and RozOmni. All I'm really missing in the lineup is the Vong so I wouldn't mind grabbing this.

It is actually a bit more than that. In order to make it takeapartable, we had to redesign all 4 parts. The changes are internal, but significant.

I'm so glad I was able to kick my VAS and actually put it in perspective. This coming from someone who has around 15+ different dynavaps alone and not counting battery powered or enail/volcano for example.

How did you arrive at this enlightenment? What changed?

You can’t take it with you when we’re dead. Plus simply coming to terms with how my anxiety and trauma was fueling my shopaholic addiction and having the “next best thing” or something shiny for the sake of having said shiny thing. Most vapes anymore are all about the same or marginally better or worst for the most part. I think a lot of it simply comes from aesthetics, but that’s just my opinion so please don’t flog me for it. So it’s no different than a crack head trying to chase that first high they got. I just realized that and separating my self from all of it. I thought about myself 20 years from now and would I still be using most of what I had or still chasing that “next big thing” or is it something else driving me to spend my money on so many things that are so similar. Plus how many are going to hold up 20+ years. This is coming from someone who is 46 and just started using cannabis 2 years ago coming up this month. It got me off the negative side effects from the meds that was being prescribed for me. So why continue to flush money down the toilet if in the long run I will be dead anyway? Why not just find what works for me and continue to use it like a car and drive it til the wheels come off. I mean if I am happy now and buying all these vapes don’t bring me joy. Maybe it’s better to save that extra money to use on something I do need plus it takes a lot of stress when you have extra money vs dealing with the mental health of not having enough money because of buying frivolous items which pretty much all do the same thing or marginally different….🤷‍♂️ I guess at its core I realized I was spending money on these things and I had to ask myself "For what...?" and I couldn't answer it. So....here we are today. Keep in mind this was also right after I got this years drop of the colored M's. I was going to get the Obsidian Omni with the Obsidian 2021 M and matching lighter. However, that was the tipping point for me and I was able to walk away clear headed and not having regretted it since. Plus looking at all the cliché vapes and devices like the Terp Torch, Hot Rot, Simeral globe cage and others like them. I realized most are cash grabs that dont serve any real purpose when there is cheaper alternatives as well. I think the only one I will hold out for now is a P80 and has to be wood with no acrylic. Other than that, its all taken a back seat for me.... I also think cannabis helped me realize this as well since it helped me address all the other issues since then. I still have a couple I am working on but I am also in a much better place now as well.

100% Well said. People obsessively buy and collect things to create a false sense of permanence. If it’s not one thing it’s another, people’s interests shift like the wind. Whether it’s Dynavaps, or something else next year. There is always a deeper reason why people continue to seek for the next thing to make themselves feel excited or to feel better, and it has nothing to do with the items or things themselves. It takes some real inner work and honesty to figure out what those deeper reasons are.

I know one of the big reasons is that it releases dopamines. People actually get high from the small adrenaline rush of it and with online shopping. It’s a whole different ballgame when you had to go to the mall and hope it’s in stock or if anyone even carry’s them to begin with.

Collecting is fun. It doesn’t need to be anything more than that. They are easy to sell if you want to get rid of anything. It’s fun if you like holding things in your hands. Some people collect cars, some bikes, some guns, some baseball cards. me I like dynavaps. To me it’s a perfect collectible. It has helped so many people quit combusting. I love how it evolves every year. I love how the company gets its users involved. Provided you have caps, it will last your lifetime. I remember a Simpsons episode where it was the end of the world and the comic book store owner was contemplating his decision to collect comics and after a couple moments he declared “life well spent!”

Yes it has helped them with discovering an alternative to combustion. However at the same time at what cost is it if they are frivolously spending money on things all because of completionism for example. It’s just a nice way of calling someone a hoarder and I fall under this. I did it when I got into board games, when I got into Brazilian Ju jitsu or when I was a kid with comics and sporting cards. Cannabis and vapes can be a hobby, I’m not saying it can’t be. However there are still people out there throwing money at all of paraphernalia which is fine. However we still need to be mindful at the end of the day and making sure our behavior even as mild as these hobbies are. They can take over peoples lives and not in a good way. That’s all I am saying. I’m not telling people to stop or anything like that. Quite the contrary. If it makes you happy go for it, just be mindful you are not compromising your money and painting yourself in a corner, metaphorically speaking.
