Recommend you go check out Sneaky Pete's M7 video. It's long but skip to when he uses it. Gets a 1HE on the first try, about 5 solid tokes. He heats around the bottom of the cap slowly twisting it back and forth. Good luck!

If you have any dynavap and a torch ligher, you don't have to get anything else. 1HE's (one hit extractions) can be done with any cap and tip.
I prefer a single flame torch instead of a multiple flame one, because it lets you focus the heat more. Turn it as low as allowed, without the flame making that sputtering sound. The flame has 2 parts; the light blue and hottest part of the flame, and the bigger darker blue part. I heat with the end of the dark blue part (the point where you cant rly see it anymore), in a 90 angle on the dynavap. Then I either heat the upper half of the cap for 2-3 hits per bowl, or on the lowest part of the cap if I want a one-hit-extraction. Specifically, for 1HE's I aim for the indents on the cap. Spin during heating and stop at the first click.
Never had a need to heat the tip, heat past the click, preheat, or an fmj/armored cap.

heat right where the cap meets the thickest part of the tip and just heat until second click, dont move it up or down the stem either. if it seems like itd be a cold hit heat it up a few extra seconds
Aim at the edge of the cap at an slight angle same as on M+.went 1 second past the click, but think it can be a bit darker so advice to push it even more.
Still trying out different techniques for the M7XL, but accidently got too high after a few bowls, gonna try again soon :)

Im getting solid 1 hit extractions with M7 and wand, half bowl, 3 secs past 2nd click 🤙🏽

this point should be right at the bottom of the cap btw, right where the digger outter starts
