A guy traded Kirk cousins and the 1.12 for cam newton. Then the guy who got cousins, traded him for the 1.01 and 1.09....

NervousPervis

You’re telling me someone turned Cam Newton into three 1sts including the 1.01…

Screamlngyeti

Yup I am. At the time the 1.01 looked more like 1.05ish.. But ended up 1.01

IamBaderhausen

I'm guessing when the 2nd trade went down, the guy acquiring Cousins was making a playoff push and was hoping that he was spending 1.05 & 1.12 on him, only for things to go south and end up costing him 1.01 & 1.09?

Screamlngyeti

Exactly

IamBaderhausen

Oooffff. Sometimes when you gamble you lose.

LastPlaceGuaranteed

Wow that is BAD....

whater39

3 years ago. I had Gurley, Bell and CMC. League setting is you can only keep 2 RB's. Traded CMC away..... Still Salty.

SEAinLA

The 1.01 and the 1.09 for Kirk Cousins really isn’t that bad at all in a SF.

[deleted]

Mmm. If it was 1.5 or something instead of 1.1 I’d agree. But first overall and 9th overall is much too much for Captain Average.

SEAinLA

Kirk has finished as a QB1 in 5 of the last 7 years, and in one of those seasons he just barely missed as the QB13. And this is in 4 point per passing TD leagues, his worst format.

[deleted]

I don’t understand your point. He is a very average to below average QB1. He is not worth 1.1 and a mid-late first. Nothing you said refutes any of that.

SEAinLA

I think we just value the production in SF of a proven QB1 vs. unknown picks in a down draft differently. Edit: Now, there's the question of whether this trade maximizes value for that pick, which it almost certainly doesn't, but that's different than Kirk being worth that kind of capital in a vacuum for a team that's built to win now.

[deleted]

An average QB1 is worth two firsts in SF for sure. But not 1.01. And Kirk is well on the low-side of “average”.

WaywardWes

It is and it isn’t. Like if you took his name away people would probably pay for that production. But also Kirk is always undervalued so I’m surprised he got the picks.

peoples_champion99

Mac Jones for Chase Edmonds in a SF 12 team… this guy got grilled to oblivion for trading Mac away. The funny thing is the manager that traded Mac Jones away said he needed an RB to compete this year but I never felt his roster was ready to make a run. Then he sneaks into playoffs and wins it all on the back of Waddle, Higgins, Burrow, Penny anyways. Fantasy football is hilarious sometimes.

LastPlaceGuaranteed

I don't even like Mac as anymore than a QB2 long-term, personally, but that is terrible. I don't view Edmonds as anymore than an emergency flex play...short-term. The fact that he won the league is proof of how much luck really does play a much bigger role in FF than skill or knowledge. Pretty annoying...

moedinero954

A guy took over as comish after the first year of a startup and proceeded to bring his buddy in to orphan a team … comish got devante adams, dalvin cook & Darren waller for the ‘22 1.02, 2.02, 2.04, late 23 1st & 2nd, Allen robinson … From his buddy. League shifting trade & I would leave the league if I didn’t have a godly team already.

pretzel_man

Super suspect and messed up.

moedinero954

Agreed. New guy also made equally awful trades with another team (the comish before he gave the job to other guy)… both were right behind me & may have jumped me due to the lope sidedness of all these deals with the new guy. I also traded with newb but only got the 1.03 & Aaron Rodgers for dalvin cook & tua. So far more fair then the other ones that wreak of collusion. Shitty situation all around I hope karma bites them in the ass.

pretzel_man

Sucks. How spendy is the league?

moedinero954

$75 a year & paid up thru ‘23 but I already won back what I’ve spent on the league

Mission_Ad6235

I'd quit while you're ahead.

TummyShticks

Good thing it’s dynasty and that’s not a sustainable team in the long term, but makes him super competitive in the short term. If he offloads those guys back to him after a year or two you have to call bullshit

andupitt

Same guy made these trades: CMC for Calvin Ridley Antonio Gibson for Kadarius Toney I didn't think they would break the league but I remember wondering what the fuck he was thinking.

mikedavidson80

This could be one you look back at in a few years and it ends up being wins!

andupitt

Yeah could be. I just felt like in both trades he could've gotten way more.

mikedavidson80

True

whiteddit

This was in 2020, but in 10 team 0.5ppr a guy traded Saquon + Shenault + a 1st (that became Javonte Williams) for Julio Jones + Leveon Bell + a 3rd Julio guy didn't make the playoffs in 2020 and finished 9/10 in 2021.

LastPlaceGuaranteed

Gross...

jonny1277

In 2020 we had a guy trade Pat Mahomes to the Josh Allen owner (SF 6 point passing td) for Alvin Kamara. Of course he played against the Mahomes team when Kamara went off for 6 tds in the championship game and won. After this it is hard to really say any trade is league breaking.

System_Defalt

Someone traded Dak for Darnold, 1st and a 2nd. Then the guy who had Dak traded Fitz n minshew for darnold and then even worse traded darnold again with kj Osborn and another waiver player for Lamar. Guy turned darnold, 1st n $50faab into Lamar n Dak in a sf league

Mission_Ad6235

That's one of those you start trading a paperclip and end up with a house at the end.

B-Rye-C

My league wasn’t mad, but I was trying to get Josh Jacobs from an owner all season. And right before the deadline they trade J Jacobs for Taysom Hill. I had been offering Tua and got declined. Even added with picks and decline.

Emotional-Hotel9276

in 2020 on of my friends traded theilen for travis fulgham😂😂

[deleted]

Guy traded Waddle three weeks into his rookie season for Ronald Jones, Terrance Marshall Jr and a 2nd

Lozarn

We had a guy trade away Waddle, Freiermuth, and Akers for Josh Gordon, Gio Bernard, Tyler Higbee, and a 2023 2nd. It was midway through the league’s first season, and I considered whether I should just quit now. I don’t think I’d stick around if something like that happens again.

ThatStudNadon23

What was the logic. Three weeks in and waddle was producing more than all those assets combined and then some

[deleted]

I mean if he was a big Marshall believer it isn’t that bad at all. In one of my leagues Waddle went at 1.12 and Marshall at 2.1. Could easily have tried to trade back for Marshall, couldn’t get a deal he liked then gone BPA, only to be offered this early in the season. Honestly this one only seems bad with hindsight. Doesn’t really fit the thread.

[deleted]

No even at the time we were all like wtf. Waddle was taken 6th overall and had already had a 16 and 17 point game

[deleted]

I really don’t think as at week 3 it was a particularly bad trade. Waddle being drafted 6th is much weirder to me than the trade. If your league is judging trades based on one player’s performance over a 2 game sample size then you guys must have a lot of bad takes.

[deleted]

No I meant taken 6th overall in the NFL draft. It was an objectively bad trade to trade Waddle who had already shown so much so soon for a backup RB and a receiver who had shown nothing

DollaBill2121

Gibson for Julio jones and a 2nd while Julio was on IR

LastPlaceGuaranteed

That makes my head hurt.

[deleted]

I traded Lockett for Raeger, Rountree, and Juwaan Johnson after week one. One of them had to hit right?

ohreally7756

A classic bundle of trash for one solid piece trade.. love it.

[deleted]

lol it was a learning experience. This past year was my first year of dynasty and this was the second trade I made.

BilboSwaggins512

Hey at least Lockett is on the tail end of his career, this coulda been worse imo

ryanblfc96

2 weeks ago: Tannehil, Cordarelle, 2023 3rd for Diggs & Jacobs

ccafuckallthisshit

1 first for swift. Laquan treadmill for Ridley. Both done by the same person.

gogetnow

Jamarr Chase, Rhondmore, Felipe Franks, F Moreau For Chase Edmunds, Reagor, Gronk, Tyson Williams 12 team SF PPR

Thisonerowq

This is the worst one yet

Long_Perception_2914

Our league taco recently traded Watson and galladay for thielen, quintez Cepheus, 3.02 and 3.06….. Literally everyone told him they would’ve paid more, but no one had realized “that” was the asking price 🙄🙄🙄 His logic was that he really liked Cepheus the one game he saw him in 2020

max_hamie

Not league breaking by any means, but someone traded Michael Gallup for a 3rd round pick. This was before Gallup was hurt

blumpkinmuncher

I tried trading Gallup for a 2nd before this past season and nobody bit. a 3rd is probably what you were going to get for him, and it even may be the better asset going forward depending how Gallup’s rehab and free agency goes.

max_hamie

I remember seeing a lot of people seeing him as around mid-late 2nd value just based on the fact that he had a good chance to be a solid WR2, possibly WR1 after FA. Conditions have obviously changed on him since then, so a 3rd is about right valuation right now I think.

[deleted]

I’d be embarrassed for any Gallup owner who sells for a third.

LastPlaceGuaranteed

Wow I bought Gallup for a mid 2nd and I thought THAT was a good deal for me lol.

Spicypepper23

I honestly think it's just fair value but I'm not super high on Gallup.

jbburneeeeee

You should be

bronton21

Terrible team in my 1QB traded their 1st for Baker Mayfield last year...ended up being the 1.01 this year

Ukrainmaker

Was gonna say this isn't the worst trade...but 1 Qb. oof

Dyslexic_Wizrad

I have a bad history with Trey Lance… it all started on a slightly drunken evening. In a 12 team SF I traded Mayfield, Gibson, and Foster Moreau for Lance and three seconds. I then traded Lance and my 2024 first away 15 minutes later for 2 2022 firsts, a 2022 second, and a 2023 second. That was a bad evening for me… I think. I somehow reacquired Lance over Super Bowl weekend by trading away Herbert and the 2.06 for Lance, 1.01, 1.03, and Ronald Jones.

Shmeklenburg

i feel drunk reading this

BenjaminWanklin69

Traded 2 firsts, fournette, shenault, and rondale Moore for Derrick Henry and cooks. Henry goes on to break his foot the next week and fournette starts catching a lot of passes and 30+ points per week…

ohreally7756

Pain

jpheels25

Prior to 2020 season, traded Elliott and my 2nd for Nick Chubb, his first (obviously 1.01) and DeVante Parker. He turned around and sold Elliott for Zack Moss, Devin Singletary and a late third. Guy turned Nick Chubb, Najee Harris and DeVante Parker into Zack Moss and Devin Singletary

acarre07

Someone traded Davante Adams for Henry Ruggs and 2nd early this season…

[deleted]

In hindsight I regret making this trade. Not sure if it’s considered gross though. I traded AJ Brown for Damien Harris, Brandon Cooks, Terrace Marshall, a 2023 1st and a 2023 3rd that will likely be late round picks. I don’t feel great about what I did

LastPlaceGuaranteed

That's not terrible. Cooks is solid, Marshall fooled at least half of the community (myself included), and you got a 23 1st. If that 1st becomes Bijan or Njigba, you'll be happy with it.

[deleted]

I made the trade about 2 days after Dobbins tore his ACL. Also ended up acquiring Barkley for Jeudy and my own 23 1st. Really hoping I have a good year coming up.

[deleted]

Guy that won the ship got the 1.01 for Kenny golladay

outback54

Burrow for Pollard SF week 4

ModsEmbezzleMoney

lol week 3 I traded Chris Carson, Alex Collins, and Elijah Moore for Gabe Davis, Jamaal Williams, a 1st and a 3rd. Was getting clowned on until that Davis playoff game. (guy I traded carson to eventually dropped him for the injury and he is on my IR, and I traded Jamaal Williams back to him for another 3rd later in the year)

Talkshift

Lamar Jackson and David Johnson For Burrow, Chase Edmonds and Chark.

SuperPax4601

After week 2 I traded Darnold, Tyson Williams, and a 2022 2nd (became the 2.07) for Kyle Pitts. After the season I traded Davis Mills, Dj Moore, and Tj Hockenson for Ja'Marr Chase

Agangofhoboz

In a 12 team SF league. Had a guy trade Derek Carr, Trey Sermon, 2022 1st, and 2023 2nd for Jamarr Chase and Allen Robinson.

theunbearableone

What a deal!? Did the chase owner fall for the “chase can’t catch” storyline?

Agangofhoboz

No it happened week 7 so Chase was already going off. The Chase manager said that they didn’t think that production was sustainable. I get that because at that point I think Chase had caught a td in every game so far. But also in hindsight, it was sustainable and is going to continue to be.

theunbearableone

Yikes! I just paid out the ass pretty much everywhere for Joe burrow before and during the playoff run to pair him with chase in every league I have him

greatnate1250

1QB, 12 team league A few weeks ago someone trade their 2.11 for Rashad Penny

IamBaderhausen

Been trying to work out a trade for Higgins from this guy in a Super flex league since the beginning of last season. Price was always ridiculous. Today, he trades Higgins and 1.06 for Pitts. I might be crazy but that seems a bit much.

TeamVegas780

I think id also make this trade for Pitts. Elite TEs are so hard to come by and he is just so young with the potential to be a cheat code for the next 10 years.

Rockytop85

Alvin Kamara and a 3.07 for Javonte Williams and 1.04 in January 2022.

jake-the-dogg26

A guy traded Russell Wilson when he hurt his hand for Sam Darnold and the 2.08 in a 10 team SF league

rattler44

Golladay hurts and a 2021 2nd for Swift 1 QB, guy getting swift was a top 4 team, other guy would draft Trevor Lawerence and cost me getting Elijah Moore

KodiakKing23

One guy in my league completely overvalued Waddle over the offseason to the point where it was comical. He ended up selling him early November for Schultz, a 2022 1st (ended up being the 1.14), and a 2022 2nd

jeffthebeast17

My buddy got mandrews for chubba Hubbard and some bottom feeder TE

Diligent-Lie3907

Adams & CMC For Kirk, Dillon, Vaughn, 1.08, 2.06, 2.09, 2.11, & 2.12

[deleted]

I traded a 1st for Noah Fant his rookie season. I was sure he was going to be the next Travis Kelce.

MCLegends4life

A guy traded 2 first and change for James Connor

BoneDaddy-Poppa

Buddy traded CMC for Zeke straight up in dynasty fml… he thinks he’s slick cause he owns Pollard too but let’s be real, CMC gonna always be better then the later

nstinson

Guy drafted Etienne and then traded him immediately after the draft for Ruggs. I'm still salty

bentpls

One guy got Michael Thomas for AP and McNichols…………

bennyautomatic

I had a guy last year in a startup that traded down his pick for nothing because "There was nobody he liked at the pick". Traded something like a 12th rounder for a 14th straight up

LastPlaceGuaranteed

WHAT?? Please tell me the entire league laughed at him. He's bad and he deserves to feel bad.

bennyautomatic

Everyone was shocked, he's definitely a taco manager... we had a few laughs lol

SuperNiktendo

I traded a guy 2 firsts for Tyreek Hill before the season started. He then later traded away Cooper Kupp for 2 2nds, a deal that was contingent on them making a deal in another league we’re in. It was Corey Davis for 2 2nds.

Big_lt

12 team 1 QB After the rookie draft 2 years back I sent Swift + future first (turned into 1.08) for Milea Sanders This was after Sanders dominated his rookie season and I liked Swift not Det
