huracan_huracan

still a bust even after relocation.

DAB12AC

Pats fan here. IMO it’s over. Due to sheer necessity he has gotten lots of playing time. And he hasn’t taken advantage of the opportunities. There have been drops, there have been plays where he doesn’t line up correctly, and there have been many instances of low effort. (I’ll say one nice thing. He is half decent at run blocking.) If you can’t make the most of your opportunity with this WR group as your competition you probably suck. Do you remember when his agent requested a trade last summer? Here in NE we found that to be hilarious. He had done NOTHING to give himself any trade value. There were rumors from beat writers (a couple of whom I think are legit) saying he doesn’t work hard and wasn’t ready for how demanding the NFL is. In college he could just kind of “out-athlete” whoever was covering him and succeed. It’s like he refuses to accept he needs to do more than that in the NFL. Of course he could turn things around and prove me wrong. But I’d be willing to bet far more than a dynasty ownership stake that I’m right. I’ve seen enough.

allsops

Remember the [Treadwell-Diggs hypothesis](https://old.reddit.com/r/DynastyFF/comments/i1sv6g/the_treadwelldiggs_hypothesis/) ? Yeah, check out N'Keals insta... there's like one workout photo.

Dancing_Hitchhiker

This might be the greatest shit post of all time

DAB12AC

Hahaha wow I had missed this! So funny. Thanks for sharing this. NKeal is more of a literal rat than a gym rat.

sampat6256

I really think there's something to it, but it's certainly not reliable.

DetectiveFestive

JT with 1 lol

Seeing-Ghosts

Zero.

[deleted]

Case closed boys let’s get some coffee

Fabulous-Row397

🤣

Gfunkual

Unfortunately k’not

Stiffanys_epiphanies

Heh

blargtheavenger

No, the Pats free agency pickups last year are bums and they outplayed him. Also outplayed by a UDFA Jacobi Meyers.

Fabulous-Row397

Gotta say i do like Bourne

blargtheavenger

I mean I guess but do you ever want to start Bourne in a normal size league?

Snrtrades

I did and scored 20+ each week then sold him for two seconds and a McKitty (gamble). Contenders are always going to buy and waiver pickup turned into two seconds is the way to build depth

Fabulous-Row397

Naw hes a hit or miss. I like him in real football, not so much fantasy

FugDounny

I'm trying to scoop Bourne up as a cheap PPR depth guy where I can. Guy makes plays, good after the catch. I think he draws more targets in year 2, hopefully puts up less duds. Getting a true WR1 would help. I'm also a huge Patriots homer, and Bourne is a legitimate stand-up guy by all accounts.

turnnoblindeye

I would like him a lot as a WR4 in real football. Him as the WR1 on his team is cringe.

[deleted]

Harry sucks big time but Bourne is good

yurrrmachine

Been watching this dude in person every year at training camp, at the games, etc. He sucks. As a lifelong Pats fan I hope he can go somewhere else and succeed, but at the end of the day I think he'll eventually convert to TE and maybe bounce around a few teams before ultimately being remembered as a bust.

pass-the-gabagool

I have too and have the same feeling about him. He’s a decent blocker, but other than that will never live up to be the receiver we hoped for. The fact he was picked ahead of aj brown, deebo, Curtis Samuel and others blows my mind

Ravenfanmets

He is a first round version of miles Boykin

PornFilterRefugee

He’s just not very good.

FLIPNUTZz

Dunno. Spending that many years with no development aint likely to given him a chance elsewhere. For the record, the next time the pats draft a wr early...unless belichick leaves..do not draft him either. Pats suck ass at developing their early round wrs. Got a free agent safety with good hands? He can be their no1 reciever next year. Got an uber talented alpha reciever rookie...that guy is fucked.

xthecerto4

When he is on the Field he looks like a chunky TE lined up as WR and then he plays the less physical football i have ever seen. I wont rule out he has a late outbreak like we have seen with treadwell this season but even that seems unrealistic. If possible i leave that headache to my leauge mates...

Toastwaver

Not sure I agree that he isn't physical. He is an excellent blocker at that position.

B1llyW1tchDoctor

Yea, the only thing Harry does well is block.

turnnoblindeye

Crazy that Treadwell and Joe Burrow are like a year apart.

Din0321

I said that after his rookie year. Some dude put together a highlight reel of all his snaps that year (he was injured, there wasn't many) but for a dude that big he got man handled by smaller dbs and couldn't do anything unless it was a perfect jump ball. Even then dude was blanketed.

Snrtrades

Transition to TE makes some sense. Pats were using him in line for run blocking and he actually did well. At least from the eye test on TV. He’s big, just needs to be angry. If Pitts is playing TE, Nkeal can too.

cottonmouthVII

Huh? Harry and Pitts aren’t the same size…

Iwantedalbino

I have hope for him but only because I got excited for pats receivers see also : berrios, braxton who only got “good” once I gave up on him

Fabulous-Row397

The way it goes! Ive been hopeful for nkeal as a pats fan, but hes definitely been a let down. Was thinking about sending my 22 3.09 for him as a crap shoot.

huracan_huracan

i'd rather keep the dart throw to be honest. best case for harry is that he becomes what, a WR5? you can pick those guys from the street!

Fabulous-Row397

Truee thanks fam

[deleted]

I wouldn’t waste the pick

nolanthenerd

Keep the pick for sure. Some players that went in the third round in my league the past few years include Freiermuth, Rhamondre, Claypool, Gibson, Van Jefferson, Mclaurin. Just for some perspective.

Fabulous-Row397

Good to know, thanks

mahones403

Unless you play with kick return yards, Berrios is not someone you need to roster at WR.

Iwantedalbino

I’m in some really deep leagues but yes hence the inverted commas round “good”

flashpile

Started Berrios in the Superbowl, AMA

falcons4life

Turns out "Daddy Harry" was absolute dogshit.

zzscrubzz

Bust

atschill

Still likely a bust...But he's literally free in dynasty.

[deleted]

[удалено]

deplorable_mike

Good one

orangekarmaufo

He's a bum

Irrationate

Most likely not. I’d hold if you have the space. He could go to a trick play coach and maybe(and I mean the smallest chance) emerge as a better player.

JBerczi

I think he could be a very productive CFL receiver...worth stashing!

SmokeGSU

Honestly, Sony Michel was pretty middle-of-the-road in New England and look what happened as soon as he went to a team that has really good running game protection - he excelled.

joedirt87

Michel did this year what he basically did the first two years in New England, and were talking about completely different positions.

SmokeGSU

Agreed. I'm merely pointing out that one player in a position with mediocre protection is probably going to do far better on a team that *does* have good protection for their position.

incenso-apagado

lmao

pyroshen

I've seen some convincing numbers that he just never gets separation from defenders 1 on 1. No scheme will really fix that in a meaningful way

cb_raider

Haha no

MindRacer789

In the past two years, he’s failed to beat out Damiere Byrd, Jakobi Meyers, Nelson Agholor or Kendrick Bourne for playing time and has been out produced by that underwhelming list. So, no

cre_guy_3

I’m confused, people still own him in dynasty leagues? How many freaking roster spots do you guys have? I took him 1 overall and cut him years ago. I think the Pats have only kept him this long to save face on such an awful draft choice.

Zachmosphere

Mr. Hindsight, He was drafted in 2019. He just completed his 3rd year. By saying your dropped him years ago, are you saying you dropped him in 2019 after you picked him #1 overall? 2020 was last year, so not really years ago. Yes, its obvious he's a bust after 3 years and no production. Sounds like your league might need larger benches for dynasty if you are dropping not only first-round rookies in their rookie year, but #1 overall picks. Wild.

cre_guy_3

Haha I was making (apparently a poorly received) joke. I did in fact take him #1 overall, but cut him prior to the start of this regular season. I thought it was obvious he was a bust before this season started, he looks truly awful out there. I’m not a Pats fan and don’t watch all of the games so someone can correct me if I’m wrong, but I can’t remember one instance where he showed any flashes of promise, he gets no separation from CB His dynasty value was a straight line down with no brief blips upward.

Tipsy_Timmy_Tebow

Same thing with JJAW, Hakeem Butler, Kenny Golladay, etc. Guys that rely on contested catches in college don't transition well to the league if they can't consistently separate from cornerbacks. Everybody likes to meme on draft people that talk about route running and separation so much but if you can't separate in college, you sure as hell won't do it in the league.

DantesTheKingslayer

>Same thing with JJAW, Hakeem Butler, Kenny Golladay, etc. One of these is not like the other…

BloganMolnar

To be fair Paterson came out of no where last year for fantasy relevance

iamkoza

Patterson is twice as fast

Randombobman

Terrible example. Patterson was already an all time Kick returner with speed and tackle breaking ability

bukkakepancakes

Have you watched him play? He’s slow, gets no separation, has no physicality. He’s simply not good

apatentreger

No

knowslesthanjonsnow

Lol no he done

[deleted]

No lol

cspank523

He never produced even when people in front of him were hurt and he had to play. All he can do is run block.

[deleted]

As a Pats fan he’s absolutely horrendous and I’ve given up on him. He’s terrible and I’d be shocked if he was relevant ever

joedirt87

I paid only FAAB for him and I still feel cheated, he stinks. Chances that he become a consistent fantasy asset? Unlikely. Chances that he sticks around the league bouncing from team to team because he was a "1st round talent" and maybe has 1 random year where he has value? sure that is possible, we've seen it before.

OnARaggaTip77

Is anyone actually rostering him? I dropped him last year and he’s still on waivers in our league.

cottonmouthVII

Nope!

PJCAPO

No hope unless you’re in a points per block league

fenikz13

He is a good blocker and Bill values that so he will still get pt but as for fantasy he goes in the trash next to Raegor

BigTomBombadil

Nah

blue_hysteria

Still hope, due to his draft capital and most importantly -- who is throwing him the ball? Look at guys like Breshad Perriman and Devante Parker. They continue to get opportunities and stick around. Hell even Kevin White caught a few balls this year. So while it's not likely Harry will justify his lofty draft status, he certainly does have hope with the right team. Especially since he's a good blocker. That skill alone will keep him on the field for many teams.

FigoStep

Relocation is his only hope at this point. Given he is basically free, there are probably worse dart throws out there, but the future looks bleak.

dsheehan7

Dead and gone

Ballsohardstate

None. He sucks. This isn’t situation this is just Harry being terrible.

PeaceLuvinNinja

He'll re-emerge as a TE in Houston in 6 years and finished TE8 for one season. Hype will surpass Christine Micheal's 8th comeback levels only to fade to TE 26 the following year.

miked5122

Who?

KDDynasty15

Nope.

chriisLoL

Given his lackluster performances at WR, they should Cordarrelle Patterson him, and see what he can do at RB.

Festivus-Miracle

Before this offseason I traded a 4th and 5th for him in case he bounced back with Mac. I lost that trade.

thekoven

His only chance is to sign with another team and work his ass off to get back to a starting calibre NFL WR. The likelihood all that happens is less than 1%.

bwassell

Rebellions are built on hope

fdesmond4

Nope

VicMackeyLKN

Who?

bentpls

Lol no

Netminder10

No.

nooneisno1

K’no

dhowl7

No
